"Along with the gin Revivalist is known for, there’s whiskey, vodkas, and bottled cocktails — including a strawberry blond cocktail with jalapeno gin and muddled strawberry and lime — to both order online and buy on-site. The tasting room and bar is open on the weekends to sample Revivalist’s offerings." - Caroline Coral, Dayna Evans

I ordered the cedar meadow steak, it was amazing! Bartender is amazing with recommendations! I forgot to take a pic of food before I started, and lucky I remembered before I finish, but mash potatoes are buttery and smooth! Omg! So yum!

The staff, the establishment, and the food were amazing. We had the Brussels Sprout, tuna tartare, charcuterie board, edamame, salad, and cocktails. Everything was great and were grateful for places like this!

I have been driving past this spot for about 20 years or so, long before it was a distillery and bistro, back when it was just the shell of an old stone barn and always thought "Someone should really fix that place up. I have been meaning to stop in once the distillery and bistro moved in but never made the time until today. What a charming and cozy little place. It looks like it should have a huge dining area inside but it doesn't, I assume because of the distillery portion of the building. Nonetheless it is beautiful and inviting. The wait staff are attentive and knowledgeable. Considering I stopped in for lunch I didn't sample a lot of the drinks, I just had a neat pour of their Custom Cask 118. Do you know that feeling you get at the end of a 4th of July fireworks display? When they let off a barrage of rockets which fill the night sky with color and light. That's their Custom Cask 118 when if makes it into your chest. It's as though you're the night sky and the 118 is the barrage of fireworks. Spectacular. I will have to stop in there again soon and sample their flights and take the tour of the distillery. Yes, they do tours. The menu is limited, but from what we had if that is any indication of the quality of the menu items in general, then the food there is some of the best in the area. I had the lamb and pork chili and it is thick and tasty without being chocked full of hot peppers. The beef tenderloin was cooked to perfection with a crust on it that made my mouth water. The green beans were crisp with a crunch and the mashed potatoes were creamy and filling. I can't speak to the seared salmon special with Jasmine rice, cucumber seaweed salad other than to say the presentation was unexpectedly beautiful and I was told that it was delicious. You'll see for yourself in the accompanying photos. Altogether this was a far more pleasant experience than at your typical local bar/restaurant in a picturesque setting.

They have amazing food and the staff is as kind as they come. Their cocktails are to die for and the atmosphere is incredible. It is VERY expensive but with the view of the distillery, it is an invigorating experience. If you go there for anything, I would recommend the Current Situation cocktail. A lot of their mixed drinks are seasonal but they are definitely worth it. And the Cloudy & Cumbersome beer is on draft, made by a brewery in West Chester. I would 100% send everyone I know there.

I have enjoyed my visits to the Brandywine Branch Bistro. It is a little far for me, but totally worth the trip. They have a lot of locally sourced ingredients and the menu changes often, but some items have stayed the same. I am looking forward to me next visit.

The plates were small and a little on the expensive side, but well worth it with the quality of food. I had both the cask room bourbon and a gin and tonic. Both were excellent and I would definitely get the bourbon again. The atmosphere was classy and it's a good place to grab a drink and talk for a while. I will be coming back again.

What a great unique experience! Set in a distillery in an old barn - with stone walls and old large beams. We went for my FIL's birthday Saturday night, and they had live music - a pair of singers with acoustic guitars which were fantastic - they even sang happy birthday! Although pricey - the food and drinks were excellent, and we had great service as well. For drinks between us - the GIN A RITA - which was a nice health size - was refreshing and a large serving - which had the perfect balance between citris and gin - I could see myself drinking quite a few during the summer. My FIL had the smoked old fashioned - which was an old fashioned that had a wood smoker on the glass - he loved it! As for food - the pretzel bites were perfect - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside with a nice spicy mustard, the hummus and veggies was super fresh and real good, and the burger was perfectly cooked. The empanadas were a tad bit greasy, but still tasty. Overall a great unique experience with great food and mixed drinks (with their own booze), and we will definitely return again.

Wow, what a gem. We stopped here randomly on our way to Pittsburgh. The cocktails were perfection, and the food was fantastic with portions so large we couldn't finish. We sat at the bar and everyone was so friendly. We ended up in conversation with everyone at the bar and the tables behind us. What a truly small town everyone-is-a-friend experience. We bought a bottle of their bourbon and a mixed drink bottle to go. Such a great experience to start off our mini-vacation!
