The Best Bars in Montreal - Eater Montreal

"Line 'Em Up, Knock 'Em Down, Eh I never pass up an opportunity to sample fresh concoctions at my favorite Montreal brewpub. The atmosphere is lively, the servers extremely knowledgeable, and the snackables extraordinary. I'm a huge fan of Peche Mortel (Imperial Coffee Stout), Half-Light (Black IPA), Last Will (Belgian IPA), Summer Solstice (Sour Wheat), and anything with maple syrup. I may or may not have tried to buy a share in a stool at the bar, but I wasn't allowed. Le sigh."

The Best Montreal Bars and Cafés With Air-Conditioning - Eater Montreal

"There are few better ways to enjoy summer than with a cold, crisp pint of local beer and some bar snacks in hand, and this cozy Mile End pub serves some of the best craft brews in town. Skip the terrasse and opt for a table inside; Dieu du Ciel’s dark interior feels like something you’d find on a Belgian pub crawl and is perfect for escaping the sun over a few rounds. Note that it tends to get crowded during the after-work hours, but it’s also open from 11:30 a.m. each day." - Holly Tousignant

Dieu du Ciel | Bon Appétit

"GO HERE: for some of Montreal’s best microbrews in a super-casual space that’s both a pub and brewery for Dieu du Ciel. ORDER: any of the 16 or 17 beers scribbled in chalk on big boards. Even if you’re not a beer nerd, Dieu du Ciel makes over 150 varieties, from stouts to IPAs to sour ales, so you’re sure to find something you dig. Sure, there’s a selection of cocktails, scotch, and whiskies, but everyone is here for the beer. If you’re hungry, the micropub has a kitchen, so you can get individual pizzas, sandwiches, and other pub snacks. THE VIBE IS: relaxed at any time of day (or night). Despite its reputation for making superlative microbrews, Dieu du Ciel has an unassuming, unpretentious air, so beer noobs can feel at ease. PRACTICAL STUFF: Open every day 11:30 a.m. to 3 a.m., with the kitchen open until midnight and snacks available until 2 a.m. Heads up: Kids accompanied by parents are welcome during the day, but after 8 p.m. it’s 18 and up. —Claire Saffitz" - Condé Nast

The burger and nachos with smoked meat were good, and the beer had a unique and flavorful taste compared to other beers I've tried in Montreal. It was a bit pricey, but I’d definitely come back — great atmosphere too.

One of the best Quebec breweries and always worth a stop when in town. The location has been expanded in the last couple of years making it feel more spacious / less crowded. Great beer as always. Didn't try the food.

Nice beer, totally recommend the stout imperial and the sour beer! Food was okay but poutine was kinda not worth the price. Overall a good place for a drink!! 40-50 CAD per person cuz we had: 2x poutine with smoked meat and 5 beers (tip not included)

The place was so packed on a Saturday afternoon I wasn't sure if that was normal or the exception. My friends really liked their English Lager and Port. We enjoyed the wine and shared an incredibly flavorful poutine. Even with almost every spot taken service was nice and quick. Was a great stop.

The fries is good and portion is large compare to the price 6$ but i wish i could be crispy. I reccommend the soda. The atmosphere is comfortable.

I’ve been here twice and both times the food, drinks, and service have been amazing! Love the terrace on a sunny day, the hummus and fries were unreal!

Go and try the Koji Beer now , one of the best in Montreal !! They have a lot of beer options some of them are seasonal. They do not have any flight but you can get 4oz options to try few different beers . They have a selection of really tasty beers 🍻 . Location is really good for pub hopping. Another good brewery is just beside this place.

We have been trying to visit for litereally years now and it's always been absolutely packed with people. They have recently renovated and doubled the size, opened a terrace... And it was still difficult to get 2 seats. This past weekend we finally found out why. A beautiful modern looking, comfortable interior including visible stills. We opted to sit outside as it was a nice day and we enjoyed a few of their excellent beers and and equally stellar poutine. Great drinks, great food and perfect location. This is a great example of everything you'd want a microbrewery to be and we understand now why it's so popular.
