"Arguably the most visionary restaurateurs in Sonoma County, the Starks operate seven distinct, wildly popular restaurants— but the crown jewel just might be Bravas. One of downtown Healdsburg’s hot spots, here you’ll find a nice mix of chilled and warm tapas like roasted escarole salad, gazpacho, tuna belly salad, creamy chicken croquetas, crispy pig ears, and Dungeness crab–stuffed piquillo peppers, as well as a ham and cheese station, family-style paella, and perfectly fried rum balls for dessert. The cocktail menu is foolproof — from the kicky Feel the Bern (with habanero tequila, ginger agave, lime, orange, and mezcal) to the sublime Strawberry Fields Forever (with tequila, elderflower liqueur, strawberry agave, lime, and basil salt)." - Jess D. "At Bravas, you’ll find traditional Spanish tapas like pan tomate, patatas bravas, and chicken croquetas, alongside more creative options like clams steamed in cava and crab-stuffed peppers, as well as larger dishes including paella. This low-key tapas bar is buzzy at night, so it’s great for a group who enjoy adding to a lively hum of conversation in the background. We tend to skip the main dishes and load the table up with tapas instead." - allison green

"This year-round indoor-outdoor local favorite is 'our beloved tapas bar in an old Craftsman bungalow that serves sparkling wine in coupe glasses,' says Mattson. This place was awesome. The service, food, and atmosphere were top-notch. We had Old Fashioneds, Eggplant Chips, Long Cooked Pork Cheeks, Roasted Cauliflower, and Skirt Steak. I wish we had room for the Crispy Pig Ears and dessert.

Google
Popped by for brunch and had a great meal. The Duncan mushrooms were perfectly seasoned and absolutely delightful. The Dungeness crab-stuffed peppers were a standout—delicious and bursting with flavor. As for the paella, it was a bit inconsistent; one side was slightly undercooked, while the other side was cooked to perfection. Despite that, the overall experience was fantastic. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. Highly recommend!

This place is great if you're into DELICIOUS Spanish food, wine, sangria, and cocktails. You walk in and great ambiance. Everyone is so friendly. They have a cozy, roomy heated back patio if you're with your pup, comfortable backyard seating area for sunny summer days & wonderful inside seating. I highly recommend reservations because the food is so good you may not get in. You have to try the sangria, all of them if you can. Menu here won't disappoint...the only thing that will disappoint is your inability to fit more delicious bites/drink in your tummy. This place is my new go-to in Healdsburg. I had the octopus, which is hard to cook perfectly, also had the crocetas-DE-LISH!

Google
We ordered a bunch of tapas and everything was delicious and refined. The sauces on some of the dishes were very tasty and excellent for dipping bread. The eggplant chips were sweeter than expected; almost a dessert.

Google
Based on the popular reviews here, we decided to check this place while we were visiting Healdsburg. We tried different tapas and Paella and I found the paella was bit salty and rice was undercooked. I can say I had better paellas in the Bay Area . The other tapas were good but the portion was disappointingly small for the price. I will probably come back to try another types of tapas or drinks but overall the experience was subpar..

Absolutely amazing tapas. Such a great atmosphere and cute environment and Drake our server, bartender was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and paired well with our wine 🍷 will be back for sure on our next trip!

Google
Really liked the pan tomate and bocadillos with truffle paste was great. I loved the mushrooms. I disliked the raisins in the Catalan spinach. The octopus was a bit mushy which I didn’t like. Clams were okay but a salty broth

Casual. Relaxed. Great vibe. Out back is an open air patio. Heat lamps keep it warm in the winter. Service is amazing. Cole, our server, was awesome. There when you wanted. Answered questions easily. Guided us well. Food was well spaced. Suggestions all great. We had the bacalao , so good. Have it with the fig jam. Cole’s suggestion. The chicken thighs. Comes with a great olive tapenade. Roasted coliflor with dates and almonds .

Yelp
We stopped at Bravas tapas for dinner. I have been here before, so I understood two things. 1) it's delicious! 2) it can get expensive. With that in mind, we brought a bottle of wine from our tastings that day and paid our corkage fee of $25. Saved some $$ and enjoyed the memory of the purchase of that wine. Then we looked at some larger items and decided to try the fried chicken. Our server told us (wisely!), that we should only order two tapas if we ordered that chicken plate, and we should order the salad dressing on the side, so if we didn't eat it, we could take it home without the wiltiness. We sort of took her advice, but ordered three tapas plates. They were SO, SO, good. The mushrooms were like Mary Poppins... Practically Perfect in every way. The roasted cauliflower was divine. The bacon wrapped dates were heavenly and with a citrus note that is not usual. Then, the chicken, kale salad, and garlic bread arrived. All three were delicious. The Chicken was crunchy, tender, moist, just right. This was superb fried chicken. The garlic bread was heavily garlicked and exploded in your mouth. There was a slightly sweet sauce for the chicken that was additive, but the chicken stood on its own and did not need anything to be wonderful. All this in a former bungalow house. Very cute! I recommend Bravas, and if you are on a budget, I recommend the chicken for 2 or 3. You will not be disappointed. I promise!

Yelp
Great small plates with Veg options. Accommodated our request for making some dishes into Veg as well. Outside covered patio was warm and allowed for our dog to be with us, a big +. Only negative - service was much slower than expected although we were only group on the outside patio. Overall positive experience nonetheless.

Yelp
Great tapas restaurant. Definitely make a reservation, as Glinda in "Wicked" would say it's quite popular. You MUST order the eggplant chips! I don't like eggplant but these were out this world - defying gravity. Eggplant is sliced super thin, soaked in whole milk overnight then lightly dusted with flour and a little bit of a special salt mix, then fried and drizzled with truffle honey. If you order nothing else on the menu order this! We did also order patatas bravas which were ok, wouldn't try them again, and the Dungeness crab stuffed piquillo peppers which was good too. Don't worry it's not spicy.

Yelp
Very cute restaurant with some indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was very nice and helped us with our order. We started with some Red Sangria, bread and cheese croquetas. The sangria was very good had a good balance of flavors. I want to come back and try their wine sangria. Bread was very warm and toasted with a good amount of butter. The cheese croquetas were delicious cheesy goodness. We then got the Paella for 4 to share. It had a good balance of protein and rice and very flavorful. I love that the bottom rice is all nice and crunchy with so much flavor. Will have to come back again to try some more dishes.

Yelp
Came for early dinner, got seated about 10 minutes. Ordered the crispy chicken thighs, tender, smoky, and spice with green olive tapenade. The crispy pig ears has the anchovy vinaigrette flavored, I think it was a bit to vinaigrette. My favorite was the steamed clams in cava with garlic, parsley and chilli flakes, it was perfectly cooked. The octopus fingerlings with smoked paprika and olives, was mushy not what I expected, a bit disappointing, I think it was not fresh. For cocktail I had the Bravas Blast a refreshing drink with a taste of passion fruit, pineapple, orange, lime and tequila.

Yelp
Wow, it's been 10 years since I last reviewed this place. It still has the same magic it did then, same wonderful wine list (shout-out to my local favorite: A. Rafanelli) and awesome service. I went on a Monday night and they were at the end of the service but had no problem delighting me even though my pooch dressed better than yours truly! The outside seating (in back, which has its own bar) was warm and comfortable. I had the patatas bravas, a scallop dish, some yummy buttery bread, and the star of the show, the Bacalao cigarillos. I've only seen bacalao served to me in Spain, and fell in love. Bravas allowed me to fall in love all over again! So tasty, so moist and delicious and perfect with the little wine. Truly the same gem I loved at least 10 years ago. Thank goodness!

Yelp
We came to this cute little wine country town for the day and lucked into finding Bravas. We were seated right away and all of the staff were very attentive and polite. Our server Brenda was lovely. We ordered several items to share. The only miss was the skirt steak as the meat had a funky flavor. No problem - they took it back and took it off the bill. I actually liked the chorizo here better than some we had in Spain. Definitely a place to try when you are in the area.

Yelp
Bravas Bar de Tapas in Healdsburg is a culinary gem that brings the vibrant flavors of Spain to the heart of wine country. This charming spot offers a delightful array of traditional and modern tapas-style dishes, each crafted with the utmost care and creativity by James Beard finalists Mark and Terri Stark. So thankful to a male staff member at Chalk Hill Winery who recommended for us to check out this place and also mentioned the other 7 restaurants owned by Stark Reality Restaurant Group. The menu boasts an impressive selection of tapas, it was truly difficult to decide as almost every item on the menu looked really good and the pics on Yelp were drool-worthy. With help from our friendly and knowledgeable male server, we ended up with these small plates: * Octopus a la Plancha with fingerling potatoes, smoked paprika and olives * Pan Oliva - toast with Arbequina olive oil, garlic, sea salt * Crispy Bacalao Cigarillos with marinated olives, lemon zest and romesco aioli * Dungeness Crab Stuffed Piquillo Peppers * Crema Catalana (caramelized orange cinnamon custard) Whether you choose to dine indoors or outdoors at the covered patio, the experience is sure to be memorable. Bravas Bar de Tapas is more than just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Spanish cuisine and culture. If you're a foodie looking to indulge in authentic tapas in Sonoma, this is absolutely the place to be.

Yelp
This place was pretty nice. We weren't expecting it to be so casual. We had 2 different servers and they only checked on us once. It wasn't that busy. The food came out fast and it was very good. They ran out of the Tomahawk or along Bone rib chop. Which is weird since it was a Saturday afternoon. So we opted for the trout. We also ordered the warm tapas- clams, octopus, truffles onion toast, skirt steak and patatas bravas. All were freshly served and very tasty. The only issue we had was when they served the trout- there were no serving utensils and with fish served like that- the first serving is usually served by the server or at least leave some serving utensils. It was also really cold inside. The AC was on and it was already 60 F outside. Anyway, that won't stop up from coming back. We will definitely be back.

Yanting L.

Yelp
Been here a few times when we visit Healdsburg from San Francisco. The food here is always great, fun to share with the group. The patatas bravas and crispy pig ears are staples that we get. Last time, we also got goat cheese toast, roasted beets, Dungeness crab stuffed piquillo peppers, crispy bacalao cigarillos, and octopus. The group favorite was the bacalao cigarillos. We had a baby with us and the servers were accommodating to us with helping us find a table that can fit a stroller beside it. The bathroom also has a diaper changing table which was convenient.

Linda P.

Yelp
Love this place. The outdoors is lovely, with heat lamps in the winter. Dog-friendly outdoors. Good food, great cocktails. Friendly, efficient service. Can't get much better. I've been here several times and everything (food, drink, service, ambiance) is consistently good.

Mariano R.

Yelp
This place is truly amazing. The food is always amazing and today, my family and I got a special experience. When we got here there was a medical emergency, and the staff was so kind, patient, and caring about all of theirs guests. We felt prioritized despite the medical emergency the staff was dealing with. I want to thank Daphne for making sure we had a nice place to sit, and COLE for being an amazing human being. This place is amazing on its own, but the staff and the kitchen are what makes this place special. Thank you Bravas! I also want to thank Frank for all that he did to help us today!

Terri R.

Yelp
We were driving around Healdsburg saw the word tapas on their sign and had to check them out. It was a weekday and we walked in when they first opened so weee seated immediately. Food was beyond amazing. So many unique dishes. Several were similar to what we have had at other tapas restaurants but we were able to try new ones. There were 3 of us so able to try several items. Some of our faves... Patatas Bravas- potatoes fried and a tangy tomato, aioli sauce, so good! Bacon Wrapped Dates- with blue cheese pieces and what really added to the dish was the Marcona almonds! Croquetas- fried to perfection with chicken, ham, and Gruyère...a must try! Obviously, since in wine country, they have a great wine list. Service is great. Server took the time to answer questions and explained portion size of dishes. Great decor, beautiful artwork through the restaurant which is like you are in someone's house. We sat inside but there is beautiful backyard seating as well. We loved the place!

Ralph K.

Yelp
Did not disappoint! The Dungeness crab stuffed piquillo peppers were amazing, but be sure to request a side a warm fluffy and buttered pan oliva. The chorizo and shishito peppers were a solid addition, and you can't go wrong with assorted olives, cheese, and pickled garlic. Their gin and tonic menu shines out of all their beverages and serve as a great palate cleanser throughout your meal.

Mary V.

Yelp
It's been too long! Four of us recently returned to Bravas on one of the hottest heatwave nights. Outdoor seating was the only option available so we sat at the outdoor bar. Despite the heat, the fun bartending team and service staff kept the water, drinks, and food flowing! We ordered a bunch of delicious savory plates to share including our faves: -pan tomate -kale salad -original BFG fried chicken (a larger portion meant for sharing) with a delicious kale salad and insane garlic toast -roasted beets -croquetas... I kept it simple with a cold glass of local white wine. Our crew also ordered sangria (white and red), a margarita, and another seasonal cocktail. We look forward to more nights on the Bravas patio when it's hopefully a few degrees cooler!

Richard W.

Yelp
Incredible food. We ordered the croquetas since we have two kids, and ended up ordering a 2nd one later because it was so good. The paella was excellent and more than enough for my wife and I. We also liked the potatas bravado. This place gets busy on the weekend so we got there when it opened and were seated not long after though there were already a few people ahead of us. If you're going at a later time then probably best to have reservations.

Ethan C.

Yelp
We came here for a Saturday dinner while passing through Healdsburg on a Wine Country road trip. We were offered bar seating without a wait, but decided to wait an extra twenty minutes for a table. If you have to wait, there's plenty of places to check out and walk around in the surrounding Healdsburg downtown streets. We sat in the backyard outdoor seating area, which had heat lamps, aesthetic string lights, and that fancy outdoor dining vibe. The menu is a bit overwhelming with such an eclectic selection of Spanish dishes and various tapas -- we finally settled on the Creamy Chicken Croqueta tapas, Roasted Cauliflower tapas, and Paella for two. Creamy Chicken Croqueta tapas (4/5): A few crispy brown balls served in a glass cup. The inside is a heavenly smooth and velvety blend of savory chicken and Gruyère, steaming hot that'll be oozing and goozing all in your mouth. Pretty good, but I felt like it was a bit overpriced for just a few balls. Roasted Cauliflower tapas (3/5): We ordered this one since it's the most popular warm tapas according to our server, but it just wasn't for our tastebuds. The heavily spiced cauliflower clashes with the sweetness of the dates, glazed bacon, and drizzled sauce on top. Too sophisticated of a pairing for me. Paella for two (6/5): Aye dios mio this paella is amazing!! The rice is cooked perfectly, with the bottom layer that touches the pan becoming a crispy pleasure. The Spanish seasonings elicit delicate yet unwavering notes of turmeric and paprika. It comes with four big sea bug shrimps, clams, and chunks of fish, all of which tasted very fresh. The dish is broiled such that the shrimps can be eaten whole with their crunchy shell if you don't want to get your hands dirty peeling! I do wish the variety of seafood was larger, like with adding scallops for example -- there was almost too much fish such that it got repetitive. Our server was also super friendly and patient. What a perfect place to enjoy an amazing weekend dinner!

Evelyn M.

Yelp
What a fun atmosphere LOVE the outdoor patio & bar vibe! We tried several tapas and each were very flavorful and unique - the tomato mango dish was my favorite with the colors, textures and flavors popping. Tge broth of the clams was yummy in of itself and the corn had strong presentation & crunch & zest. When we visit again this will be a must visit so we can try the paella.

Allie C.

Yelp
My experience here was pretty good! We visited on NYE for small bites but I was blown away by the Bravas Blast cocktail. So delicious! For food, I especially liked the chorizo & peppers dish. My reco would be to add more flavor to the duck slides, they were abit bland.

Sirikanya p.

Yelp
10/10 !!! Amazing food great ambience and wonderful service. Little complaint about octopus that was not so fresh but pig ears made it up for those. On the sunny day, try dining in the back patio with a glass of cocktail........and you will have such a blast day

Jackie G.

Yelp
The food is outstanding. Everything single bite was very delicious. The eggplant chips are a must to get!

Amy C.

Yelp
We enjoy a lot of the other places that are also managed of this establishment! This place is a different vibe but we do enjoy it

Pam M.

Yelp
The hostess that took us to our seats wasn't very friendly but our waitress was awesome. I didn't like the sangria it was too sour. I think it had grapefruit instead of oranges, which is what I'm used to. The calamari was a little too rubbery for my taste, but I did like the patatas Bravas and the creamy chicken croquetas were good. We sat in the back outside and it was very pleasant. There were fans going because it was a warm day, and the tables were comfortable.

Craig F.

Yelp
A pretty enjoyable Friday afternoon at Bravas for lunch. A small crowd was waiting with anticipation for the doors open at 11:30. off to a strange start, as the hostess opened up the door without fanfare and didn't say a word to any of the guests inviting them in or enjoying the day. Her personality was as cool as the Mount Lassen lake trout on the menu I guess. In contrast, the rest of the staff was quite pleasant and welcoming. Food we ordered, which included crab-stuffed peppers, octopus, tuna belly, sardines, and a few other items was pretty awesome and went well with the Rioja Blanco we had selected. Service overall was pleasant, professional, and unrushed. We had a great time and will be back.

Laura F.

Yelp
Great food, was able to get in last minute on a Friday night. Oddly enough my primary care physician halfway across the country specifically recommended this place, so I was glad to work it into our trip!

Ashley W.

Yelp
Two friends and I were on a "girl trip" to the Northern California wine country. We ate here for our one meal of the day -- and what an excellent choice. Two of us had the red sangria and one of us had the white sangria. We took our first sips at the same time and our eyes opened wide in absolute ecstasy. Best dang sangria we've ever had. One of them said this is a destination drink!!! We shared one of the best tapas I've ever tasted, which was the Piquillo peppers stuffed with Dungeness crab. Wow! Just WOW!!! We are also enjoyed the Bussells sprouts, the cauliflower, two orders of the scallops and one order of the grilled octopus. Everything that we ordered was superb. We sat outside on a perfect fall day which was really nice because we were there from 12:45PM to 3:15PM. This was not because of the kitchen; it was because of Frank, our server, who was almost 100% inattentive. We were having a great time so it wasn't too big an inconvenience for us but I'd have to say that easily an hour and a half passed between our two courses of tapas. We have no idea what the reason was. Perhaps he had too many tables. All we know is we didn't see him much at all. Other than that, this was a perfect meal. Because of that we decided to give a five star rating -- and we would have given more if we could. The food and the sangria, as far as we all were concerned, were just that exceptional!!!

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Overall Meh. I except more from a starks restaurant. We walked in at 5pm on a Friday asking for a table for two. It's off season, figured it would be fine. Hostess said we could sit inside at a high table to brave the heat (95) outside. Decide to go outside, to be sat at another high table. Weird. Most of our dishes were good, not amazing, which is what I would hope to expect from this family of restaurants . The grilled octopus had a slimy outer layer- my guess is it's been frozen. I've never had it like that before. Won't order that one again.

Pamela G.

Yelp
We've been fans of Bravas for quite awhile and went in last night expecting another great night out. Well, sometimes you don't always get what you want. We were seated right on time but it took quite a while to have our waiter come over and after that it took a while to get our drinks and get the waiter back to order. We ordered and were told the trout takes 30 minutes. We were ok with that but after waiting about 45 minutes, the waiter told us someone else picked up our trout and it was delivered to the wrong table. They still had to cook ours. Close to 90 minutes after we were originally seated we finally got our meal. The waiter was very nice and it didn't seem to be his fault. The manager came to our table and basically said sorry but we're really busy and these things happen. He comped us a half carafe of wine but frankly that really didn't make up for the whole bad timing of the meal. I was taking my husband out for his birthday and it was really disappointing. That said, the food was very good . The trout ( while not really photogenic) is delicious and comes with a big kale salad and garlic toasts -- for 40$ which is a great deal. It's enough for two or three people. We also had cauliflower with dates, bacon, blue cheese and almonds which was really good. We started with a martini and croquettas. We skipped dessert since everyone had pretty much left and we didn't want to sit there alone. It is a really fun place to sit out side in the courtyard on a warm summer night. I think the manager could have managed a more heartfelt apology . We have always had a great time at Bravas before and I'm sure we will again but this left me with a bad feeling.

Tanya B.

Yelp
What a wonderful slice of deliciousness in the cutest town! We had so much fun trying all the different tasty bites, I'm looking forward to coming back for more! We came in here early afternoon and loved the place from the start. What looks like an old home converted to a restaurant is adorable. The inside was clean and the hostess was pleasant. We decided to sit outside, thankful for a reasonable weather, the patio area was super cute. We ordered the Brentwood sweet corn sofrito- this was delicious, sweet and a little salty cooked perfectly it was fantastic. Roasted cauliflower, which was good, the blue cheese was very mild, it had great flavor! The patatas bravas was crispy potato with two amazing sauces a red sauce and a cream sauce... the potatoes were super crisp without being dry in the middle and the sauces blended together were freaking phenomenal. Creamy chicken croquets- which wow... these little balls of deliciousness were so good! They are roughly the size of a quarter... the outside was crispy, and inside is gooey cheesy tastiness! We also ordered the Dungeness Crab Stuffed Piquillo Peppers- ok anyone who knows me knows I am not a big seafood person but my rule is that I will always try a dish at least once... I am so glad I did... this had zero fishy taste... it was cheesy, the peppers were very flavorful and the crab meat was fine... with crispy bread crumbs on top. So freaking good I had seconds! And then we finished off the night with paella - again not a fish person but I have always wanted to try this dish... it was so rich in flavor... now I didn't eat the prawns - I was told they were not very good so was easy to stay away from that... but the clams were good which shocked the heck out of me... now they were tiny so I don't know if that was part of it... and they were a little dry... but... it was good and for a newbie to the shelled seafood it wasn't at all what I remember from a years ago. The cod was super mild, it was cooked I thought perfectly... the chicken while a little dry it was fine. The sausage inside was good very flavorful and the rice was perfect! I shocked even myself liking this dish! Over all I was pleasantly surprised and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Was in the area for a friend's wedding, and she had recommended this place to all of her guests, so we decided to come in for some quick drinks and tapas before the ceremony. It was a beautiful day to sit on their back patio and they were pretty full on an early Friday afternoon. We didn't have a reservation but they let us sit at the bar while waiting for a table to open up - we didn't have to wait longer than 5 minutes. I ordered the sangria and my partner and I shared the pan con tomate, brussel sprouts, and corn dish. Everything was so delicious and really hit the spot. I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area again, and hope to have the time to sit down for a full dinner

Suzanne A.

Yelp
Went for lunch with a friend. I've been here. many times before. Today the food was not as good as usual. Good - goat cheese crostini and beet salad. Not special - papas bravas. No zing/zesty flavors that this dish should have. Needed salt. The Brussels sprouts were not cooked enough. They were hard and tough. Wine is pricey. Watch out for the 3% added service charge. I deduct it from tip since it allegedly , is for tips.

Gilianne N.

Yelp
I am a tapas lover and I was very impressed with them. They have a wide an amazing selection of tapas and not a single disappointed me. My favorite was the beet/cheese/walnut and the fried eggplant. The service was amazing, they slowly brought out the tapas so we wouldn't be trying to eat everything at once. I also recommend their Red Sangria. We would have sat outside if it wasn't so cold and windy but inside was a nice and very cozy.

Cristina P.

Yelp
We had to leave before we could order anything to eat because of the rats around our table. We first saw one walking by and asked to be seated inside because we felt uncomfortable and while we were waiting for an answer another rat approached the table. They didn't want to move us inside so we left. Very sad and uncomfortable, I know it's inevitable but they should have some control.

Emmy M.

Yelp
Favorite bar in Healdsburg. Super cute. Great service. The food never disappoints. They have some newer dishes- also I haven't really been in a while so maybe they're not new but they're new to me- the corn omg. Yes order it. I will definitely be back for it. So good. The artichoke was really good too. I ordered the ham and truffle bocadillos which is my usual when I go there but I was full from the corn and artichoke. I was super surprised. Also shout out to Kaile and Drake!

Tony W.

Yelp
Came in on a Thursday for lunch. Front dining area was empty while most guests had opted to sit outside on the patio. Hostess was very stoic and i would not say nice at all. We ordered a lot to share between 3 people. Pan Tomate - Tomato puree on toast. Pretty good, bread was soft where it needed to be, and crispy where it was supposed to be. Patata Bravas - Roasted potatoes in a red tomato sauce with mayolike sauce on top Jamon Iberico - Self explanatory, but pretty poorly sliced, came in chunks and the slices weren't uniform Anchovies - Nice plate of refreshing anchovies Creamy Chicken Croquettes - nice and crunchy, good flavor Roasted beets with walnuts and sliced cheese - likely the best thing we ate Duncans mushrooms - very standard butter mushrooms with herbs Crispy chicken thigh - came a bit burnt and thigh was no longer juicy. dont recommend Grilled octopus - comes with potatoes, grilled octopus was a bit grainy. i wouldnt recommend. Overall, the starting tapas were decent, but didn't blow us away. The 'mains' (mushrooms/chicken/octopus) was very underwhelming.

Minus one star for the off putting smell of old seafood dispersing throughout the restaurant. We enjoyed the sangria and the crispy chicken thighs, goat cheese toast and Brussels sprouts. The outdoor dining area was cute and the service was attentive.

Yelp
We got jamon, croquettes, scallops, octopus, cauliflower. Cauliflower was very good, scallops were solid, croquettes were ok. The jamon was fine but I don't think it was the real deal. The octopus was awful, so chewy. I love octopus and when done right it's amazing. Also my wife got a drink and it was basically a sweet gin and soda.

Yelp
It was ok! I read such great reviews I was underwhelmed. We had the olives and that was my favorite part of the lunch. The duck meatballs were blah and I did not like the chimichurra. My husband liked the kale salad, but I thought it was bitter. The scallops were overcooked, so I only ate one. The French Press coffee was very nice and the wine was "fine". Our waiter was on top of everything. I'm not sure for $150 I would go again.

Yelp
We had a pitcher of sangria and it was just so so. Had the jamon bocadillo which was a small ham and cheese. It tasted alright but nothing to write home about. Roasted brussel sprouts were up next with a little chorizo, goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette. I liked the chorizo. The octopus was the highlight of the evening. I've never had it better anywhere else. The chicken thighs I also enjoyed. That dish placed second. The hot rum balls ( 5 ) were delicious. Nice and hot. How can you go wrong with this delightful dessert? Great way to round out the meal. I will say that I thought the menu was a stroke of genius. It folded up into a small area and you didn't have to worry about the server picking it up as it folded so neatly and tested against the wall.

Yelp
Headed here on a Friday to celebrate my birthday with my hubby. It was a bit of a gamble, since neither of us had been here before. HIGHLIGHTS + Super cute area in downtown Healdsburg + Easy to make reservations online + Lots of variety in the menu + Friendly services LOWLIGHTS - Honestly, all the food felt like it was overcooked :/ It was almost as if all the ingredients were right, but the execution was off. Octopus, Brussel sprouts, mussels - everything tasted very chewy and over cooked. - Patatas Bravas tasted like breakfast potatoes and mayonnaise. Yikes. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening... but food was definitely a miss which is unfortunate. Maybe we had an off night with the chef, because I feel like all the pieces were there to have a great meal.

Yelp
Yum, this place was absolutely delicious! We were able to make reservations on our weekend trip there and definitely enjoyed our meal. We ordered a handful of dishes to share between the table: -Goat Cheese Toast (5/5 - OMG TO DIE FOR. I am actually not a big fan of goat cheese because of how strong it is alone, but it was paired and balanced with the sweetness so well on this toast. Highly recommend trying this!) -Fermin Jamon Iberico (5/5 as well!! If you pair it with the juice of the chili, the acidity balances it out perfectly) -Crispy Pig Ears (4/5 - definitely a different take on how I have ever had pig ears before. It like the crunch, but an extremely oily dish and some were overfried) -Roasted Cauliflower (5/5 - pairs so well with the dates, blue cheese and nuts on the dish) -Octopus (3/5 - I actually didn't find anything special about this dish. Was probably my least favorite dish of the night) -Skirt Steak (4/5 - good cook on the steak. It is as you would expect, so no surprises there.) Unfortunately, I was completely wined out for the day with all the wineries in the area so didn't get to try any of these dishes with a wine pairing but I can definitely see how some of these dishes would pair super well! Stop by if you're in the Healdsburg area and make a reservation if possible :)

Yelp
Yet another amazing lunch at Bravas. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary a little early with Sunday lunch on the relaxing outdoor patio at Bravas. It was bustling and crowded on arrival at 130pm, but within 30 minutes the crowd thinned and our food and drinks had begun arriving, and all was right with the world. Not a dud in the entire selection of potatas bravas, pan tomate, roasted cauliflower, crispy pigs ears in anchovy vinaigrette, calamari on pesto, skirt steak on red onion marmalade, crispy chicken thighs on green olive tapenade, and drinks of course (a glass of red sangria and Cabernet). So great to have such a reliable foodie destination that never disappoints!

Yelp
This is our favorite small plate restaurant to go to for a special occasions! The price for most dishes are reasonably priced compared to other small plate restaurants. My favorite dishes are goat cheese toast with golden onion and truffle honey AND eggplant chips. We need to get these two dishes every single time we come here! Other great dishes are Brussels sprouts, Duncan's mushrooms, creamy chicken croquetas, and patatas bravas. Desserts here are just okay for me. I prefer to go to Noble Folks for yummy ice cream. Service here is a hit or miss. Today, the server never checked on us and we had to get the host, busser, and food runner to order more stuff. But other times service is great.

Yelp
EXCELLENT! Zero complaints. If you are in the area it's a must. Every single thing we ordered was amazing. Service was spot on. Seriously one of the best meals I have had in so long!

Yelp
Tasty! Fun tapas style restaurant. Wasn't super hungry, but tried a sampling of dishes. Simple kale salad was light and refreshing. Bacon covered dates were a little too rich. Loved the fried eggplant chips. Requested extra rosemary to offset the greasiness. Loved the honey on them. Fav of the dishes we ordered. Potato bravas dish was our least favorite, lacked salt and flavor. Service was efficient.

Yelp
What a lovely and quaint little tapas restaurant. Looks like a cute house from the outside. We split our group into two tables since they couldn't accord a big group so the kids were excited to have their own table. Service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long for the food to be served (aside from the paella, which is to be expected). We ordered: Croquettes: 4/5 these were good but a bit salty Eggplant chips: 4/5 nice and crispy and sweet Duck bocadillos: 3/5 ok a little fry Pan tomate: 3/5 good but nothing special Paella for two: 5/5 I really liked this, seafood flavor wasn't overpowering. Worth the wait. Sangria: 4/5 sweet and powerful. Got me woozy Octopus: I didn't try this Chicken thigh: 4/5 sweet and tender, nice crispy skin Goat toast: 5:5 yummy with lots of flavors going on. Cider chorizo: 3/5 ok Duncan mushroom: 4/5 good medley of mushrooms What a special place to dine. So happy they had space for us.

Yelp
Someone I know LOVES Bravas! I hope it's not for the [patatas] bravas because those were fried bites of sadness. But, at least it didn't die in vain like a well-done steak! A local fav for affordable tapas, Bravas (Stark Reality Restaurant Group) is open for takeout and dine-in. No delivery. They allow dogs on the patio but they make you keep a placard of rules on your table at ALL times. Silly but I'm assuming they've had issues in the past. Rezzies are highly recommended on the weekends. We made one for weekday lunch but it wasn't needed. M E N U Spanish Tapas Menu: Chilled + Hot Tapas, Tinned Fish, Toasts, Bocadillos (little sandwiches), Raciones (family-style entrees), Paella, A La Plancha (grilled proteins), and Postres (desserts). As a first timer, the menu was overwhelming (50+ items) so it's best to peruse the online menu before dining. Full bar. 3% BOH service charge. F O O D * Patatas Bravas: Fried Potatoes w/ spicy tomato sauce, aioli ($12): https://tinyurl.com/mt3akhxf Surprisingly meh for such a basic tapas staple. While crispy, the patatas were not seasoned and the center was undercooked, not fluffy soft as it should be. The copious amount of aioli thrown on top didn't help, it just made the patatas soggy. * Crispy Pig Ears w/ anchovy vinaigrette ($10): https://tinyurl.com/yc5ph5je Good texture, crispy, chewy, and soft but soooo salty. * Skirt Steak w/ valdeon cheese butter, red onion marmalade ($19): https://tinyurl.com/4srdczet --Requested medium rare The steak itself was on-point, perfectly medium rare, well-seasoned, and tender. The salty sweet funky flavor profile sounded good on paper (blue cheese+onion marmalade) but the blue cheese and finishing salt ended up overpowering the steak, making it overly salty. * Sea Scallops w/ romesco & leeks from the fire pit ($19): https://tinyurl.com/bde8tkzj Nice sear on the scallops but they were overdone. * Dungeness Crab Stuffed Piquillo Peppers w/ idiazabal cream, jamon migas ($18): https://tinyurl.com/2zzna45j Star of the show - hot, cheesy, creamy, tangy deliciousness with crunchy jamón breadcrumbs for texture. It gave me crab dip vibes so I wish this was served with a side of bread. S E R V I C E Unwelcoming hostess. Our server was awesome - very cheerful and upbeat. Food service was incredibly slow for weekday lunch service at opening time (not busy). Long lags between courses, at one point we waited nearly 40 minutes for the next course (steak). We noticed customers who arrived after us received their orders before us. A M B I A N C E Converted house - cozy indoor dining area and great backyard patio area with outdoor bar, umbrellas, and fairy lights. Even without a dog in tote, patio seating over indoor seating for sure. P A R K I N G Easy street parking. Overall, great patio vibes with just ok tapas. I'm obvs in the minority and with such an extensive menu, maybe we ordered wrong. But, I felt the 4.5 star rating was inflated because of the area. I'm sure others will have a better experience!
