What a little jem this place is!
I was very fortunate to have been able to visit this place several times during my visit @ The Gaylord and to not be disappointed once!
Located in the Magnolia section of the hotel, close to the elevator entrance, this place has character, charm and just projects pure passion for there heavenly treats.
First of all, the cookies! Christy's cookies that is, Made from the heart and passion of a previous well know foot ball player ( that I cannot recall the last name) who decided to take his love for baking and using all top notch quality ingredients to start his own business that has since become a local Tennessee favorite!
My first cookie experience trying was of there white chocolate macadamia nut coockie....Holly hot damn! Talk about an explosion of soft, chewy, decadent flavor in each and every bite, if calories didn't matter, me and these cookies would be on! I ended up getting a can of cookies to take home with me for myself and some family members. I got an array of different flavors with the peanut butter and chocolate chip being another that I later tried, despite the fact that they had broken a bit during my travels back however, they managed to still impress : )
Next fabulous thing offered here? The coffee! Frothy Monkey coffee that is, Yup with a name like that, you can only be curious and in hopes that it will be something worth trying and it was! Frothy Monkey coffee is a local organic coffee unique in flavor and excellent in taste. This was the only decent coffee within the hotel and far in-comparison to the poor coffee bean.
I also came here for breakfast twice having the fruit container filled with rich colored fruit more for your buck compared to other places there and some granola cereal that I had one morning that was fantastic!
They also serve Gelato and other pastry's there that I was not able to try.
The real highlight of my experience here besides the great treats they offer, was the incredibly friendly, sincere service I encountered from the lady working there. She gave me the whole background and story behind the cookies and coffee explained to me passion behind the goods and made me feel right at home.
Overall, if your not going to go to any other places in the Gaylord, make it a point to stop here. Fantastic treats made from the heart with above average ingredients, all at a reasonable price and all equipped with some downright friendly, sincere service.
Wish they had one here in the bay : (
