Bravo Pizza

My Midtown pizza crawl 2024 Just mid quality and flavor for the regular slice here. Sauce is too sweet and crust too floppy. Place is tiny, just a counter to eat on and a couple of tables in the back. Definitely better choices around that area, but I guess it's not bad a bad place to stop for a slice after a late night bender.

Rude staff. No menu listing out pizza options and prices. No tags on the pizzas either so have to guess what the toppings are. Asked staff for help but they were impatient and just blurted out some names quickly. Crust was tough

I work a block away and there a few pizza places in Midtown. However, this is my GO-TO. The pizza is always hot & fresh. They have a wide variety of pizzas. It is small place. So even if there is no seats available, this is a great place to grab a slice or two and eat it at Bryant Park. Only down side is their AC. Not always comfortable but that’s because they have a huge oven cooking pizza at all time. This place is now called 5th Avenue Pizza, which was previously Bravo Pizza but with the same staff.

Delicious pizza, you can't go wrong. It's close to Bryant Park and pretty much across the street from the library.

was grossed out by the canned mushroom taste like vinegar. i got a mushroom green pepper slice for $7. It was not heated up at all, cheese was cold, but they "put it in oven".... Upside pizza around the corner is so much better!! :(

Staff were extremely rude. Listen to these reviews, they do not lie. The staff are disrespectful, dont listen , and the pizza is overpriced. We saw it in the window and came back to grab a slice. Ive never received so much attitude in a place that I am quite literally giving my money to. F u bravo pizza😂😂

Amazing place. Great variety of Pizzas and they are made fresh. I recommend this local restaurant. Stop by if you are in Manhattan midtown. You wouldn't regret.

Extremely overpriced: a simple cheese pizza slice over $7 and the taste is horrible (tastes like paper) - disgusting. Staff very rude and unfriendly

If you need food relatively quickly, this is a decent place. Good service. Nice guy behind the counter. Lots of pies to choose from for an individual slice. I got the pepperoni-chicken-bacon and they warmed it up. Too thick and overall wasn't good pizza.

What a huge disappointment, I have been coming here for 20 years and come every time I visit New York. The pizza has made a serious downturn. Barely cooked and now doughy like the rest of terrible pizza places in the country. There must have been a new ownership change recently. They changed all the Sicilian slices to round deep dish style. Heartbroken

COLD AND SOGGY SLICES Walked in for a quick slice on our way to catch a train at Grand Central. There is no menu or pricing shown and two slices had me paying $14!! $7 per slice is already insane so i hoped it would at least taste amazing and i was wrong. I got a mushroom slice that was soggy and cold, tasted like something out of a high school cafeteria. My boyfriend got a slice that was even worse and the dough tasted like white bread. They didn't even heat up the slices fully. There are so many better places around to get a good slice, don't go here!!

I would give zero stars. Not NY style pizza. Prices are not posted and outrages for what we have experienced in the city many other times. It was just convenient. Would NOT recommend to anyone wanting NY style pizza.

Nice NY style. Small drop in eat. Pepperoni margarita good stuff. Nothing fancy, but true New York City vibe.

Yeah don't go here. This a next level rude place. I understand there is a different vibe in the city but this is unnecessary. It's like they don't want to work or help you. Saw a family of 4 straight up leave. Guess they don't like business.

They're accessible if you're walking/shopping on 5th av or hanging in Bryant Park. The End. Yelp said I had to write more so... For the plainest of slices the tag is $6.00. Because it's in the city I knew it was gonna be a bit more than usual but what rock have I been under for this long that slices are now $6.00!?! Now if it was yummy I wouldn't have been on about the price but I really didn't like it. I don't want to say it's the worst I've had but .... The End.

We passed by Bravo Pizza and vowed to stop before we left NY. Though expensive, it's a pretty good slice of pizza. We will stop back there on our next trip in the future.

If you are one who enjoys overpriced bad pizza, this is the place for you! No published prices.. $13 for two ;())$ l/:;(). slices. Tourist trap to the max. NYC my whole life, could be worse ever. Go around the corner to Stone Bridge on 41st and get a custom made pie at the same $$.

Pizza was tasteless and expensive. Not only this place but pizza in general is becoming expensive. 4 slices for $27. But customer service was good.

Slices here are just ok. A bit thicker of a pizza compared to other ny style pizzas. definitely more on the pricier side. would probably pass on a second a time.

I was here the past week... pizza with good flavor, good size and a variety of flavors, the place is SMALL ..... the costumer service was HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!! All the employees were rude, unkind-less, for some reason a feel their eyes on me every time I bite my pizza lol, I catch them like 7 times, is that normal ? My husband notice too lol

Quick, friendly, better than average pizza, $8.50 ft or two slices (pepperoni & cheese)

We came here for lunch and enjoyed a slice a pizza, salmon filet and a Greek salad. The pizza was very good and very large. The salmon filet was very good and seasoned well with sesame and teriyaki. The Greek salad was good but was missing dressing which would have been good to have. Everything was fresh and cooked warmed up in order. Lots of seating upstairs and outdoors.

Randomly ran into Bravo pizza place and it was so good. I was so tempted to eat all and I had to go gym. Ill come back again before going to gym. Margherita pizza is crunch warm and soft melting when I had a bite. You must try it, cant describe the texture and taste. Best pizza in NY for now! Happy to find this hidden spot!

ive been here 3 times the last 4 weeks i work down the street. both subs barely had any meat for 15$ then i ask for an extra BBQ sauce with my chicken finger dinner and you charge me 50 cents. dont spend it all in one place instead of keeping a regular and making 100s now you never see me again. hope its worth it all you places that are so petty you charge for sauce

I used to be a huge fan of this place. They had a few locations across the city. Unfortunately, it's been several years since I've been here. I wanted to grab a quick slice before heading back home--the quality of the pizza seems to have deteriorated over the years, but it's still a quality place for some pizza on NYC FYI--it's an $8 minimum to use your card here.

I was in the city with my kids looking for a pizza place and happened to have found this place. The line to get food went to the outside of the door so I figured it would be a good find, and I was right. We got two cheese slices and one onions and pepperoni (yes I know weird lol). It was delicious!!! Although my cousin would debate that's not NY pizza haha. It was great either way. This is a hole-in-the-wall place. It's jam-packed and there's barely any place to sit. Although we got lucky is that two couples left and we were able to sit in the small table next to the wall. The attendant serving the pizza was super nice and helpful. The cashier was a little less nice and serious. He was not smiling and put my sodas on top of the soda machine for me to grab. I thought that was a little rude because it was too high for me to get them. For those of you that don't know me, I am petite in stature. I literally had to ask him to grab them for me hahaha. Other than that when join the food and had a good time. There's plenty of pizza to choose from with all kinds of toppings. They have other food that's not pasta as well. It's worth it for the food. P.S. There is no bathroom so pee before you come here. Haha

First time in NYC in many years. Looking for a quick bite and walked by Bravo Pizza. Cooked pies on display in the window drew us in. We tried a square slice and a pie (triangle) slice. Both great. First bite in NYC was a success. And they serve bottled beer!

Thick cut pizza! Pre-cooked, pre-heat when you order! $5 a slice, not your thin cut that you want it. But when you are hungry and needed a quick bite, this would do! No, we won't come back! $8 over to charge with credit card.

I don't know what it is about this place. I'm sure there's better and it's not all that easy on the eyes but we always end up back here. It's good pizza and consistent every time we come it's the same.

The pizza looked ok from the window. Soon as they saw black people walk in the door the racism begin. They ignored everything question we asked like we were ghost. I guess because our faces weren't white in a business suit we got ignored. I literally had to ask hey are you ignoring my co worker he couldn't even look at us to answer so fucking sad. I would not waste one dollar in that bland pizza place. I don't wanna rate this piece of shit place but in order to post I have to put a star a shitty one at that bastards.

Okay so this is definitely a tad too expensive for NY pizza ($16.50 for 2 slices and garlic knots) but it's really good at least. If you love cheesy pizza this is a good bet.

My go to fast food is always pizza no matter where I go. This is the only pizzeria that was close to me in the area. I have eaten here a couple of times. I find that most of their specialty pizza look good but their crust is really too thick for my taste. I got their plain cheese slice and it was just OK it was much smaller than I expected. The place it's self is not that big but they were busy because of their location. When I am hungry and on the go this place is quick and easy and I can be finished eating and on my way in less than 10 min.

Omg just right on 5th Avenue- the best pizza! The smell of their pizza is all over ok 42nd. Incredible tiny place but so cozy! After long walk, it's a perfect spot for a small bite. We had pepperoni and mushroom slices of pizza. All were delicious! My child actually asked for extra, and he usually was picky with his food. Check it out!!

I had only been here when absolutely drunk off my ass and thought it was delicious. I've since been here sober and am ranking slightly lower than I would normally (probably more of a 3 star) because I feel lied to lol

This is a totally above average NYC pizza joint that gets the coveted 5th star upgrade specifically for its "Grandma" slices. They're pretty unusual, being square like Sicilian but not as thick. And they're mostly sauce with parmesan on top that gets all toasty in the oven. It may sound risky to some but trust me it's fantastic, especially when fresh, which somehow it manages to be every time I'm here. Honestly, I usually manage my trips to midtown around a chance to visit this spot. Apparently they're an NYC chain but I haven't tried any of their other locations yet. Everything else I've tried there is great too, even the fountain soda is good (don't laugh, for some reason that's REALLY hard to find in this town.)

Great Sicilian slice here. Nice crispy crust on the outside and fluffy on top. Good sauce as well. If you are in the mood for a slice it's a good choice.

In the midst of the hustle, Bravo is the tastiest and affordable choice in the area. Soft crust, tasty cheese & sauce, and not too much cornmeal underneath. I got two slices and total cost with tax is $6.60 (as of Sept. 2019). Inside is pretty tight, good luck finding a seat if you're with a group.

They get a star because that is the least I can do. Horrible service.... avoid this place.

I must have ordered the wrong thing cause the whole place was busy. I had ham an pineapple and broccoli and chicken . I wanted white slice no more and I wanted meatballs they don't do that huh . Not the best MY Piazza in my opinion

Was in NY for one day only and had a few minutes for a super quick lunch, so naturally I wanted some infamous "NY Pizza." While okay, it didn't wow. I had a slice of pepperoni and meatball/mushroom. It was doughier than I expected. My colleague had cheese and a chicken roll. I'd try the Chicken Roll next time.

A very small pizza shop but quick & good. Been craving New York City pizza with thin crust. Tried the pizza with tomato only. Put some garlic powder on it and gobbled it all up. So Yummy Did not disappoint.

I ordered a grandma pies and clearly the delivery guy was doing cartwheels or something with the pie because this is what they brought to us. The cheese was on the box and the sauce was everywhere. The pie looked really unappetizing. I called and asked them to fix my order but the guy refused and was rude and told me to take it as is. Do not order from this place!!!!

The pizza looked better than it tasted. The sauce always throws me off here. The pizza itself has potential but that sauce is missing flavor and it can't be ignored. I ordered a Sicilian slice and a meat lovers. Both slices were missing something. I tried to indulge in each bite but to my dismay was always disappointed by the reality of a flavorless slice of pie. The variety that is offered makes for a hopeful foodie enthusiast but once you sit down to grub, there's simply no love. The overall location is definitely convenient and very clean. So I like that. My advice is to rethink the sauce and make an ok thing something great.

So. Bad. Decided to give this place a try, but boy was I wrong. I ordered two margherita slices and they were just plain awful. The sauce tasted sweet which I found extremely odd and it had what appeared to be little wooden sticks scattered throughout. Not sure what they were trying to accomplish with that, but I never desire to eat wooden sticks on my pizza. Don't go here. I told my co-workers where I went and they said that place is no good. Now I understand.

First time here, and by God it's going to be the last after a employee Sergio's rude and complete lack of manners way of behaving from being the counter, we got 6 different slice's and when I asked him to change out one of them do to a very bad after taste he got all angry and defensive, "that no one had ever complained about his pizza's before, there was clearly something wrong with me" and on and on. All I wanted was just one slice changed out, but I may as well have been asking to change out the all order the way he was acting out. Save your self the trouble and please go someplace else.

It's a pizza place in NYC that sells small slices of pizza that don't look anything like NYC Pizza at all. It's not bad BUT there are plenty other places to get pizza from than this.

Nothing out of the ordinary. A regular cheese slice. Slightly pricey coz of the location but a good meal got 10 bucks. Place is good for takeout. Not a lot of seating space and typically busy on weekends.

First of all I watched them put my pasta in the microwave. second of all, there was a hair in the middle of it that i found after eating 3 bites of it. Third of all, pasta was rubbery. This location sucks.

I m surprised by the not great reviews here. I come to this bravo pizza a lot and always love the pizza. The crust is always really crisp and the sauce has the right ratio of flavor and sweenetess The meat lovers is great and the margarita is not to be missed. Warning this pizza place gets very crowded on weekday lunch rush.

Excellent pizza here, and one of the best tasting garlic knots that I have had in this area. Deliver is quick and they handle it well, pizza arrives nice and hot and not soggy like some places just toss it into the box. The Sicilian slice is huge and very good and cheesy its a shame there is only so many corner ones as its my favorite. Regular pizza is excellent also, its my favorite pizza place in the midtown area, not too oily and the crust nice perfect. Prices are also great considering its location in the heart of midtown. They also don't skimp on the toppings, the sausage one was loaded, normally you have to dig to find sausage hidden inside the cheese as some pizza joints in the area. Very happy with this place, go and try for yourself!

It's the best kosher pizza place and it's not close. Much much better than the downtown location.

This is not a Chicago deep dish pizza. Also, they charged $3 per topping, which we thought was ok because we were ordering a Chicago deep dish pizza....not. We live 8 blocks away and it arrived cold? Not worth your money, order from somewhere else.

Stopped in for a snack and got a slice of the bacon pizza. It was super cheesy and there was plenty of bacon. Crust was good, but just a tad on the bland side. Overall, solid piece of pizza!

I enjoyed Bravo. I got the pizza with the most veggies on it: Broccoli, onions and olives. The toppings were great, the sauce was better, but the crust left something to be desired. It was a little soggy on the bottom and I like it thin and crisp when I'm in NY. Atmosphere was nice though. More places to sit that some of the other places we visited in Manhattan.

Came here for a quick bite. I got the pineapple pepperoni slice and a plain cheese slice. They were both good. My reason for the two stars was the guy that works up front (who puts your pizza in the oven), he was very rude and when I asked if there was pizza with just pineapple without pepperoni, he snapped at me and told me "what you see is what we have". He was also rushing me to order even though there was no line and nobody behind me. They did have a lot to offer so I'm not sure why he would be rushing customers when they have a bunch of different toppings with no signs as to what they are. I will not be coming back, the pizza wasn't good enough to deal with rude service.

Pizza was not the best, just okay, got cold writhin two minutes of sitting down & staff was not very friendly. I wouldn't waste your time here if you're looking for some good quality NYC pizza go elsewhere.

I stopped at a few places while in NYC for a slice of pie and this was one of the best. All I had was a slice of cheese but it was great! The selection here is large enough to appease any hunger. The line moves fast and the staff were rather friendly. Stop in if your in the hood.

Expensive but my favorite pizza slice of all time. Their "fresh mozzarella" slice is worth the pilgrimage from westchester county! They have other slices also that are just a bit too "busy" for me. One regular cheese and on fresh mozz to go please :). This place is very small but there is some minimal seating in the back if you're feeling adventurous. There are many times where you'll walk in and see that they're all out of their famous pie... if they don't have plans to make another, you better order the pie.... it's dam well worth it.
