The Best Brazilian Restaurants in the Northeast | Eater Philly

"Showcasing Brazil’s Italian roots, this aptly named pizza shop emphasizes the ‘massa’ (crust) and distinctive toppings rather than heavy sauce; I try Ricardo’s favorite, the Tropical, which includes corn, hearts of palm, and catupiry (a cream cheese sometimes baked into the crust), and for something sweeter I go for the thin-crust Nutella com banana and wash it down with the popular Brazilian soft drink guaraná." - Amanda Stahl

I usually enjoy ordering the “Jantinha” from this place, but today was a disappointment in both service and food quality. While I appreciate that young people (15-20 years old) are given opportunities to work, proper training in customer service is essential for a better experience. As for the food, the seasoning was flavorful, but the meat I ordered medium rare was extremely tough—almost inedible. The rice was burnt, and both lunch boxes were carelessly prepared. I hope these issues are addressed, as I’ve had better experiences in the past.

The Açaí bowls are to die for! But the food is delicious nothing less, the pizza is about an 8/10. The burger 10/10 & the Brazilian food platters are amazing!

I really struggled whether to write this review or not. I hate seeing bad reviews on a place I have only been to once, especially if it is locally owned. But, there is no way this place has 4+ stars. Ordered a pizza with sausage. What came out looked like either canadian bacon cut into 1 inch strips, or some sort of kielbasa. Just looked nasty. However, I could barely see the "sausage" with an avalanche of greasy cheese on top of it. Somewhere beneath all of the cheese was a crust that was nowhere near crispy. It reminded me of cereal when you leave it in milk to long. Taking each slice from the box the entire contents on the crust fell off. Just a really bad experience. Owner, don't bother commenting back. We won't be back. I hope what we got was just a bad day for the guy making the pizza.

The shrimp Alfredo was way too greasy and salty, it raised my blood pressure… I also ordered the strawberry chocolate pizza and it was disgusting… I actually went here again after that. I ordered online so my food could be ready when I got there. I got there and they hadn’t even started.

The best Brazilian pizza in Philadelphia. My boyfriend don’t wanna eat any other place because this one is so far the best. And of course, so much more soft and tasteful compared with the sad American pizza. Obs.: they make pizza like mineiro. Important to know if you are from São Paulo 😅

Grabbed 3 pizzas and their shrimp appetizer since my normal pizza place was closed. Compared to Italian east coast pizza it's definitely different, but that doesn't mean bad. Got the Brazilian sausage, white and banana pizza. The bread was a bit chewy, and a lot less greasy then what I'm used to. It was nice. The banana pizza was amazing though. Definitely a dessert meal. Very good. The shrimp though, the Camarao Empanado, was likely the best shrimp I have had outside of Asia. Fresh cooked and huge. I have one bit of advice though, if you don't speak Portuguese, you might want to skip the call and order online. While they do speak English, the call was a little rough and they had to pass the phone to a second person. Definitely recommend this place.
