These Are the Best Bakeries in London Right Now

"Famed for its Borough Market doughnuts—especially the repeatedly viral crème brûlée flavor—this bakery has expanded the craze into a hands-on crème brûlée experience where fans can learn to make the signature treat themselves." - Stacey Leasca

King’s Road Restaurants in Chelsea, London | Eater London

"Another Pavilion Road high-point, Bread Ahead’s Chelsea bakery has plenty of outdoor seating and the same best-in-show selection of pastries, doughnuts and cakes as Borough Market and Beak Street — all available to nibble on site. Buttery Breton kouign amann are present and correct, and there’s a range of substantial lunchtime sandwiches too." - Emma Hughes

Where to Eat Chocolate In London | Eater London

"The first eat-in Bread Ahead doesn’t disappoint. Behold the pyramids of brownies on the counter — choose from plain, hazelnut-and-almond and the occasional seasonal special. Then turn around and gaze in wonder at the doughnuts piled high in the window! (The selection changes, but velvet-chocolate-caramel and chocolate-orange are regulars). It’s worth getting there early and settling in, and there’s plenty of space in the back for laptops, making this a sweet spot for sweet-toothed freelancers." - Emma Hughes

came here for some quick brunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised. lovely interior with very comfortable seats and straightforward ordering-at-seat system due to the efficient staff. the food itself was delicious and came out in a very timely fashion. not too expensive, either, although it’s certainly not cheap: it was about £15 per person for a drink and a decent portion of food. while there’s likely many other places you could get a higher volume of tasty food for the same price, i certainly do think that the quality makes bread ahead a worthwhile visit. i’ll probably be coming back again to try the sourdough pizzas that i became very curious about!

I have been a customer of Bread Ahead for a while, had good experiences and not so good ones, but the good one’s overweight the bad ones. Breakfast is good, they are a bit slow due to the demand especially on events days. Food is tasty and portion is good sized. One time in the evening I ordered a slice of Pizza and they gave me 2 as they had more pizza and wanted to be nice. I appreciated that a lot. Overall, recommended

Came here as a quick detour on my way to the London design outlet. Happy that the almond croissant was above average! Flat white was strong, but a bit of a smaller cup than usual. I'm curious about the sourdough pizza, so we'll definitely come here again when I'm in the area. The cafe itself is lovely (with lots of natural light) and a step away from Wembley Stadium.

Pretty disappointed with my visit today. We ordered two breakfasts and two orange juices, but after waiting nearly 40 minutes, we still hadn’t received any food. When we asked, the waitress said only the drinks had been put through — no sign of our breakfast order at all, even though she’d repeated it back to us when we ordered. What made it worse was that other tables who arrived after us were already eating, and we felt completely ignored. The staff member who took our order seemed very attentive to other customers but barely acknowledged our table. If we hadn’t followed up with another staff member, I doubt anyone would have noticed. When the food finally arrived, it wasn’t worth the wait. The bacon was greasy and unevenly cooked — some bits hard, some soft. The only thing we actually enjoyed was the bread. Overall, a really frustrating experience. I hope the service becomes more consistent, and everyone is treated with the same level of attention.

Quick pit stop after Outlet shopping. Menu is extensive. Industrial environment. We chose a slice of margarita pizza (large and awesome), ceaser salad (great but over dressed), fal e fal burger (very tastey). We brought doughnuts for later. All good. What's not to like👏

This bakery is located near Wembley, about a 15 mins walk from the underground station. They have plenty of seating and offers a comfortable atmosphere. They provide a variety of doughnuts, pastries and coffee. I tried the vanilla doughnut, chocolate doughnut, and a mocha. The doughnuts were delicious, with plenty of filling and just the right level of sweetness. Unfortunately, the mocha was quite average. Next time I visit, I’ll stick to just the doughnuts!

I was served and greeted by lady Googla Ophelia, what a wonderful lovely lady she is. She was so kind in talking and understanding what does I exactly want even after the different accent. I belive this place is amazing but what makes it more amazing are the staff. Food was delicious and hot, freshly backed Donuts were amazing and very light weighted.

I had high expectations for this place, but it didn’t live up to them. The coffee was decent, but the pancakes were extremely disappointing—some of the worst I’ve ever had. The texture was dense and tough, more like something you’d find pre-packaged at a supermarket. Rather than being served with classic butter and maple syrup, they were overwhelmed with an excessive amount of cream. Overall, a letdown. Let me know if you’d like it to sound more casual, polite, or humorous!

Yelp
Great spot to grab dinner and a drink before heading into Wembley. The space is very large with both a bakery/cafe and restaurant area. We sat outside and ordered a meal to share and two drinks. The smash burger was very good and a hefty portion size. Service was great as well. Only downside is that, probably due to an unexpected amount of business all at once, the restrooms were not maintained and all stalls in the women's room (I think 4) were out of paper. Luckily someone boyfriend grabbed a role from the men's for the few of us that noticed early enough! Generally, seems like a great option pre event at Wembley!

Yelp
Before Oasis concert, I stopped in for a drink. Important!!! You have to order a meal to get alcohol. That was okay since I was also hungry so my partner and I split a burger and chips and I also had a Crème Brûlée Donut. The burger was large and loaded with toppings. The crème brûlée donut is soooo good. We almost got a slice of pizza to split, but full from donut and burger.
