Breadbelly B12 - Dogpatch

Fun to explore this Asian inspired bakery/café on Pier 70 in Dogpatch. Like the industrial space, plenty of seating. Tried the shrimpwich and Fried Chicken Cutlet sandwich. Both, very hearty sandwiches! The shrimp patties were large and tended to overwhelm the slaw and other flavors. The Chicken cutlet was moist and flavorful! The chocolate miso entremet was very tasty and a nice finish!

Cute bakery shop and sandwiches. Got the chicken cutlet. Prices are a bit steep for sandwiches and coffee. 5% fee on top as well. Portion size is normal. Iced coffee was decent - $6. Overall a premium brunch spot next to padel courts.

The Biscuit Smash comes out to $20.53 before they ask for a tip at counter service ~ very overpriced. The Sando is solid, biscuit a bit dry, great flavour though. Worth closer to $14 but a good option I suppose. Sweet Pastries look good, the patio is the star here

The food is at the new Breadbelly location is as food as the original one. This location definitely has a „colder” warehouse vibe but it’s also easier to grab a table. The shrimp sandwich and salads (seasonally changing, always crunchy fresh and interesting) are great lunch options. The kaya bun is filled with lots of pandan cream and the coffee is solid.

I have been longing to try their bread at the sunset location but never got a chance to travel so far. Now finally got to try their dog patch location. I had the breakfast sandwich with the fried egg and smoked ham. It is very delicious, however I would like it a bit less salty. The sauce, the kale and the ham together is too much salt and makes me feel very thirsty afterwards. The bread is soft and fluffy, the fried egg is perfect with a crispy edge, and I love that they added lettuce to make it more refreshing and crunchy. I also notice the chef intentionally grill all edges and angles of the bread to make it evenly toasted all around. Thumbs up to their attention to details! Drink is ok, nothing noteworthy but not disappointing.

So happy for this location! Love the vibe and the outdoor seating. Tried their Kaya toast and matcha and found the toast to be too sweet and overpriced (and not real nonya Kaya). So don’t expect anything close to ur Singaporean kaya toast but the location is super cute and they have a lot on the menu that I’m sure are pretty good!

December 2025: Stopped by for pastries to go. Tried a few including the kaya bun and the passion fruit monkey bread. I was very impressed with everything. Went very well with an afternoon cup of coffee. Would definitely come back again for more delicious pastries.

I really enjoy coming to this location as it’s clean, safe, and spacious - an easy spot to bring my dog and stroller. I’ve had several of their pastries and prepared items. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but I think the quality, flavor of the food, and pleasant staff make it worth the visit. Some of my favorites are the breakfast sandwich, biscuit smash, pandan toast, and ham & cheese croissant.
