"Next month, diners in Sugar Land will be able to chow down on a neverending feast of meats at Breakers, the suburb’s first all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue destination. As Eater previously reported, the restaurant is set to make its debut at 16535 Southwest Freeway Suite 2605, and now we’ve got an official opening date. This is the first Houston-area location for the California-based chain, which currently operates a number of outposts in Dallas-Fort Worth, Virginia, and Georgia. According to its CEO, the restaurant is intended to offer a more upscale, “fine-dining” vibe than a traditional Korean barbecue. As far as the food is concerned, diners can choose from two different all-you-can-eat barbecue options, one of which includes additional kalbi, or marinated short rib. Beef bulgogi, teriyaki pork, spicy chicken, squid, pork belly, and scallops are also on offer, all of which are grilled right at the table. On the side, find banchan (traditional Korean side dishes) and soups like kimchi stew and naengmyeon, a chilled noodle dish. Breakers Korean BBQ opens in Sugar Land on March 8. Eater has reached out to the restaurant for additional information on pricing and its hours of operation." - Amy McCarthy

Great family night! We enjoyed the food although my wife doesn't like that we had to cook everything ourselves. This was our 2nd time visiting and I love the food. I like how you can choose the food you want and make it how you like it. Also that you can have all you can eat. There was no charge to take the remainder of the food you didn't eat home. The only downside was the wait for more food to come out. It took a little while. But great experience overall.

This is such a fun experience, whether with the family, date, or friends, everyone is sure to enjoy this fun Korean BBQ restaurant. We opted for the *All You Can Eat* special, at just $35 per person, we definitely made the most of our money. This special comes with a starter course, appetizer, second course, third course, and dessert! We were completely stuffed by the time we left. Everything was sooo good, too! The staff are very friendly and the restaurant has a fun vibe. We will definitely be bringing the kiddos next time! We know they would love cooking their own food. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is attentive. Michael was a great server. These selections of meat are great quality and a nice variety. It was a great tasty meal and I can’t wait to come back. The restaurant is also reasonably priced and the all you can eat is a great option.

Edwin the manager was very polite and friendly and made sure we were comfortable, he came over a few times to check on us. Edith our server was awesome She answered every question my inquisitive asked. The Drinks are great here. This was an awesome experience. I will definitely return.

Absolutely amazing tonight! Had 2 servers help us. One was the head server (I think) and she was fantastic. Funny and well knowledged. The other was a new guy but he was very helpful and did everything he could to make our experience enjoyable. The food was very good as well. It is all you can eat for ~$25. We ordered the marinated chicken, spicy squid, prime beef bulgogi, brisket, and charcoal pork belly. Our meal also included unlimited sides you could pick while, some others were complimentary.

My friends and I stopped by for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Not busy at all. The host greeted us as soon as we walked in, sat us in a comfortable booth and the server came right away. She immediately explained the menu and answered our questions. She changed the dirty grill to a clean one without having us telling her to do so. She helped us grill our meats and explained how to cook them well for us to enjoy. It was delicious!! The side dishes were amazing too! We will definitely go back. Establishment was clean, good food, good service. (The only bad aspect were the restrooms since they needed attention)

Yelp
Highly recommend checking this Sugar Land GEM! $35 per person for ALL YOU CAN EAT with impeccable table service can't be beat! This restaurant definitely is my new favorite place. I have frequented the city's Chinatown Korean bbq selections, but this price for all you can eat with a good selection of meats and the quantity that is given on the plate is hard to beat. THE MEAT: There aren't any sauces because the meat is already pre seasoned. Very delicious and lots of meat to choose from on the menu. I'm not a fan of the beef brisket, but I definitely liked the Pineapple Pork Belly, Breakers Steak, and LA Galbi. The Beef Bulgolgi usually is hit or miss at Korean bbq restaurants for me but I liked it here. Be careful about the $10 charge for any leftover meat!!! You cannot bring any leftover meat home in the all you can eat. HOT FOOD: While we didn't get any hot food, there is quite a selection of food to choose from that will be cooked in the kitchen and served directly to your table. You CAN bring home the leftover meat if you order hot food. THE SERVICE: We went on a Saturday afternoon and we were seated immediately. Table service was super attentive and the meat came within 5 minutes of placing an order. THE DRINKS: The Gummy Bear Soju pitcher was AWESOME!!! The electric blue Soju was a first for me so it was exciting to try this cocktail. Very sweet and easy to drink with the meat. THE DESSERT: Churro Rice Cake is dairy-free!!! YAY! It comes with ice cream if you want that. I liked the sugary goodness of the piping hot rice cake on a stick. A great finish to the all you can eat style buffet. INTERIOR: Very classy Korean bbq design of the tables and chairs. Casual attire is fine. Great place for large groups, families with kids, family-friendly, dates, and professional. The only downside to this restaurant is that the table is too small in length... It was tricky trying to figure out where to put the meat plates, but we managed to strategically cover our table and the server was super attentive so he would come to pickup empty plates as soon as he saw them. THE PARKING: Plan ahead. This restaurant shares a parking lot with a popular shopping center. Good luck finding parking on the weekends. The bright side is that there is a large parking lot area on both sides of the restaurant and it's not entirely impossible to find a parking space. Do I plan to return? Yes! Do I plan to tell everyone about this restaurant? Yes! This place has gotten a customer for life out of me.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner for two recently because we were at First Colony area. We didn't have high expectations for this place to start because we heard from others that this is pretty Americanized KBBQ, but since they have the AYCE option, we decided to try this place out. The interior of the restaurant was nice and modern. We were there on Monday evening, and the restaurant only had a few tables occupied when we looked. Service was definitely much slower than the typical KBBQ restaurants that we go to, especially for a slow day, but the servers were really nice. There was a decent variety of side dishes and a variety of meats/seafoods that were available. The sauce options were a bit weird (thai chili sauce, sesame oil w/ salt/pepper, and spicy mayo) from the usual sauce options from typical KBBQ restaurants, but we didn't mind. We ordered the strawberry cutie mocktail, miso soup, glass noodles, fried dumplings, Breakers steak (thin cut ribeye), spicy chicken, spicy pork belly, garlic pork belly, and buttered shrimps. The best part of the dinner was probably the strawberry cutie mocktail and the buttered shrimps. I can't have alcohol because of a health problem, so I was so excited to find a place with non-alcoholic cocktail options, and the strawberry cutie tasted great. The buttered shrimp was the best part out of the items we ordered. They smelled so good and tasted really nice. The rest of the meats that we got tasted okay. The miso soup was extremely bland, and the glass noodles were okay (plain glass noodles w/out veggies). The quality wasn't as good as we would like for $35 per person AYCE. We were hoping the quality would be a bit better. Overall, this place definitely wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best either. We wouldn't go out of our way to go here next time, but we wouldn't mind eating here if we didn't know what else to eat in the area.

Yelp
Delicious food and very reasonably priced for all-you-can-eat. You can imagine that they may lose money if you come in with an appetite. The detracting part for me is that the staff are a bit strange and are overly-involved in your cooking process. The whole point of these places is to cook your own food at the grill installed in each table. That being said, it seemed like every time we would put food on the grill a different waiter or waitress would run over and start flipping our food around without asking. While they didn't ruin the food, it detracted from the experience and made the atmosphere a little hard to enjoy with someone so constantly over-involved in your table. It was so much service it almost became insulting, like we don't know what we're doing. Perhaps similar to letting a young child "drive" your car but you have your hands on the wheel and feet on the pedals.

Yelp
I came in here to celebrate a friend's birthday. She had picked this restaurant because it's close to where she lives and because she'd never been here before. Our experience started okay. Our waitress was friendly but she'd forget little stuff like utensils, etc. Not a big deal, we'd just ask for them and she'd bring them right out. All the food that we ordered was delicious and prices were pretty much comparable to other KBBQ restaurants. At the end of our dinner, when my friend had told our waitress that it was her birthday, our waitress told her that she could get a complimentary dessert and she started telling her what desserts they had available. My friend decided to get a cheesecake. Well, the waitress came back and told her that the manager said NO and that she could only get ice cream scoops. No biggie, but it sounds like the management needs to train the waitstaff better on this. Now as my friend and I were chatting while she was enjoying her ice cream, there was yelling! The manager/owner was yelling at the top of his lung at another person in Korean. And this wasn't just for a short while - he was pretty much yelling at continuously in Korean. I don't speak Korean so I don't know what the deal was, but come on! This was a place of business and you're just going to start yelling like that? My friend and I decided to leave this this point and when we did, the waitress and he hostess apologized profusely. And as we were walking out, they guy who was yelling was also storming out the restaurant. It would have been a good experience had it not for the yelling at the end of our dinner. It was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Don't think I'll be back.

Yelp
This place has changed drastically Menu has changed and side dishes are not as tasty as before Place doesn't seem as well maintained as before Odd smell where we was sitting and very hot in the establishment to the point I was sweating. Floor very slippery from oil and grease Service was mediocre Not sure if I will return to this location unfortunately

Yelp
No wait on Saturday. Walking in you can smell that grill smoke. 2 options for AYCE bbq. Option A $25.95/pp (half off for kids 5-9. Kids under 5 free. ) option A pork bellies, chicken. OPTION B $29.95/pp includes beef bulgogi and shrimp. You can do a la carts but price per dish is almost the same at AYCE. There is a $10 fee for leftover meat so eat wha you order. The cream corn was out, not available today. The salad wasn't great. Tasted like Italian dressing. Miso was ok--standard. The pork belly all tasted bland. Not the best bbq. The kimchi sides were ok but they only give 3 pieces of each. The steamed egg was a little too liquidy but it was pretty good. The japchae glass noodles we're actually pretty good. They do have a big bar menu and soju options that we didn't try. Service was very good, very attentive. There's a button to hit if we needed attention but the servers we're constantly checking on us so we didn't need to use it. Overall goto bellaire or katy China town for better kbbq.

Brandye C.

Yelp
On the all you can eat menu, everyone has to pick the same option out of the ABC choices. I didnt like that. Not kid friendly. They have vegetable fried rice and garlic fried rice for vegan options.

Jewlz J.

Yelp
Food was ok. It would have been a little better if we got our food altogether and not have to ask for everything little thing and wait 10 minutes while food was getting cold. The meats came out before the drinks. Then no sides or rice or sauces until another 10 min after we were cooking our meats. On top of that, we would have to flag our waiter down to ask for the sauces because only the sides came out 10 min later so then we had to wait another 10 minutes for the rice. Seriously ? Then we kept asking for our soup that came with the meal, we didn't get it until the end of the meal. Uhm what? They never refilled our drinks and our burner was black and we had to ask them to change it. Guess what, waited a long time to get that changed out. We didn't get our drinks until half way thru our meal. This was the worse experience ever. The food wasn't even that great and to wait for everything slowly and not in order is ridiculous. How hard is it to bring the sauces and sides before the meats? I literally had to get up from my table to hunt down the waiter everytime. Would not recommend at all.

Esther R.

Yelp
Food was good . Service was NOT. Had some issues as there's a discrepancy in prices online vs the prices in store . Other than that pricing issue this is a fun place to come with a group of friends and enjoy an afternoon cooking together.

Yelp
Returning from a day trip to the Rio Grande Valley the other day, a simple thought hit me at the Buc-ee's in Wharton: I want Korean BBQ. It's rare for my family and I to go out for a bite, and with my 40th birthday in mere days, I thought we'd go somewhere that's basically a once-in-a-blue-moon thing. And KBBQ is something I don't partake in much. That's how we ended up at this establishment. Before we were seated, a quick scan of the menu directed my attention to the combo that feeds up to five people, which became our dinner. The combo consists of pork belly, beef brisket, shrimp, bulgogi, and short ribs in addition to complimentary salad, miso soup, rice, and banchan. I wish I could you tell you that the combo was worth the $100 I plunked down but it was hit or miss. Some parts were enjoyable such as the banchan, the short ribs, and surprisingly, the shrimp, but the pork belly was a mere disappointment as it was devoid of any flavor. ordering the combo, I figured that the meat portions were generous but the amount could best serve three. We also had to wait a while for a few items. Our waitress did her best to accommodate us. It was cool of her to apologize for the shortcomings though it wasn't her fault. There's still some hope I could come back here and have a much better experience, which is why I rate Breakers between three and three and a half stars.

Mel N.

Yelp
Marinated kbbq is pretty consistent and service is quick and easy. Pricing is decent for the amount of food you get. The bulgogi, teriyaki chicken, short ribs, and japchae are all pretty good! If I didn't live so far I would come here more often!

Natalie T.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to check this place out for ayce Korean BBQ. When we walked in, I noticed the large industrial fan blowing by the front. I should have seen it as a red flag but this place has been on our list to check out for a while now. They have several menu options, depending on the type of meats you prefer, prices vary. I was pretty disappointed with the selections for AYCE, especially for the price listed. It took our server a while to get our drink order. We were there at 5pm, it was not busy at all. Then midway, we got a new server because apparently the other one left? Which was fine because she kept forgetting to bring us items on our order. I'm assuming the first girl was going through training because service was very subpar to say the least. She was trying but I think they really need to work on training their younger workers to know how to manage the establishment. Anyway, the a/c seemed to not have been working, we definitely felt it when we started cooking. [Thought they should have at least warned us.] Not a great first impression.

Jack L.

Yelp
I checked the prices on a previous post for AYCE and saw that the price increased by $10~ and the selections were halved, which disappointed me when I found out when I sat down. The meat was nothing special an, I would give a 2 stars but the attentive service convinced me to give a 3 stars instead. The seats were awkward and would tip forward if you sat too far on the edge of the seat.

Don C.

Yelp
Ok caveat. They haven't been open a month and didn't do a "soft-opening " Walked in not busy still had to wait- guess they are trying not to overload the waitstaff. Our waiter. Nice guy. Pretty efficient. Didn't look like he had a "section" because he had tables all over the place. Full bar. Nice. Drinks came out fast. I had draft Sapporos so that was quick. Negative. They were "out of" iced tea. This is texas you cant be out. Go to the store. I didn't care I don't drink it. Also advertise you are all you can eat with two options!! I didn't know til we got there! Banchan/side dishes. Building has a pic of spinach and another of bean sprout but they weren't inside. My two faves. I did eat the spicy cucumber which was fabulous. My friend said the fish cake and kimchi were ok. Meats. 3 at a time. Spicy pork, beef bulgolgi and teriyaki chicken. First two really good quality. Not like all you can eat Jin quality from beltway 8. Chicken had bones involved. We weren't handling that well the manager/owner stopped by to check on us then later came back and cut up the chicken like a samurai so it would finish cooking. It was good. The spicy chili and bean paste sauce were good. We were well looked after. Can I get you anything? 3 grill changes. 9 plates of meat total. Stuffed and will be back. Ok business suggestions. More banchan. Cheap and fills you up. Plus I love it and would eat less meat. Two advertise you are all you can eat AND al a carte. Oh NEVER not have iced tea this is texas. And as things smooth out have enough staff to use all your tables- those are growing pains things but we want you to stick around and it's a high rent area!! Also hostess needs to give out drink menus if you have them. I didn't know if you had sake or soju which I would have ordered. Still a good 4 stars for me. My dining partner said 3. I think it's really good. Oh guy above me review for all you can eat for $28. Yeah you don't get that at Korea Garden but I am just as full and the quality is a tad higher It's all you can eat sides so that is good. We didn't have dessert but they have some.

Jamie N.

Yelp
The bad reviews really lived up to the infamous hype. $35 per person for limited menu and no korean soup is absolutely ridiculous. Instead they have miso soup..? They no longer have galbi. The salad was what seems like a coleslaw mix, flavor was okay. This place is very Americanized and not what KBBQ should be like. They offered spicy mayo and sweet chili sauce for the meat dipping sauces..... instead of traditional ssamjang. Service was okay but definitely the last time we're going here.

Nathan M.

Yelp
Not sure who would give this place anything more than a two star? The food was not good at all. The meat was bland and they were missing tons of items unless you upgraded to the premium. If you go the the restrooms you will not want to come back to eat. The girls working are nice and sweet, so sorry they must not have a great manager.

Mary H.

Yelp
This was our first time trying out Breakers. Overall it's a pretty solid restaurant. We went on a Saturday evening and there was no wait time to be seated. Our server was nice and pretty attentive. After awhile, your table does get less and less attentive as the servers are more focused on newer guests. The restaurant has a doorbell for each table, ring the bell if you need your server.. this doorbell serves no purpose.. the servers are too busy running around to be paying attention to the rings. The restaurant needs a better system / organization for the servers running the tables. The servers look worn out / tired as they are running around and it was only 7pm..

Tan T.

Yelp
Food was mediocre, we liked some pickle bon-chon, and seafood pancake. Our server Sarah was very good and helpful. However, While making reservation Sunday on 11/27/2022, the manager of evening shift assured us a discount rate per Asian radio Ads. When we finished our meal of 6, He profusely denied to honor with a very lame excuse that we must use an APP, which no one mentioned in advance, neither the radio ad manager nor himself. Not that matter of $$, but it was such a bad reputation of a service manager, especially, we were physically confirmed by him prior to make reservation. Feel like a very cheap trick. Will never come back nor make recommendation

Shantel S.

Yelp
We aren't from the Sugarland area but we were recommended here by some friends. Let me first start off by how accommodating they were. We were late coming from family pictures with my whole immediate family for my moms birthday. They were still able to provide great service. (I hate how other places they give your reservation away). Second, we were with a lot of kids. I LOVEEEE how they had a server cook for the kids and then serve the kids their food on their own table. It was gray not having to worry about that! (The only thing I worried about was my picky son not eating enough!) The meat was yummy. We got the premium package. We tried it all. I also like how they had good side options for the kids like fried rice. It was a lot of food and our server hooked it up. If you are in the Sugarland area and craving Korean bbq, come here!!

Elisabeth H.

Yelp
Breakers is a great all you can eat Korean Grill/BBQ. The ambiance is very bright and the music is smooth, a very futuristic feel. We were seated immediately and greeted by our waitress. We were seated unfortunately next to a group of high school boys who wouldn't stop coughing and sneezing, very surprised they were let in. We ordered some of their dumplings and fried rice and they were delicious. I could've eaten 7 orders of both and gone home content! We tried about 8 things on the menu, each of which were preseasoned and delicious. Our waitress made sure to explain what it was and how long to cook the meat. It helped us tremendously because we probably would've severely overcooked everything. I think we did overcook a couple things and they still turned out great! Some meat was thicker than others and was occasionally chewy to eat. I wish I could've stayed and ate more but I had no more room left! Their pricing is fair but since it's all you can eat and they offer good meat, it's a little pricey.

Lillian H.

Yelp
I went to Breakers about two weeks ago. The staff wore their masks correctly and they also checked our temperatures at the door. The restaurant was clean and the seating was spaced out. They changed the restaurant from all-you-can-eat to combo meals. I picked the combo with the ribs. The quality of all the proteins was excellent and the service was perfect. It also came with Korean side dishes, kimchi soup, and soybean soup. I actually prefer the new combo format over the all-you-can-eat because I'm not stuffing myself for hibernation. I love this location so much. The one in Dallas was so-so, but this Sugar Land location is AMAZING.

Joseph Y.

Yelp
First. Their website and on Yelp says they open at 11a. We showed up at 11a and the sign on the door says 1130a. Annoyed that they don't update the info online, but we waited. They didn't open the doors until 1145a. Second. Their place has a strong underlying odor-- almost like sewage that permeates the space. However that might not be their fault-- while it was unsettling at first, figured that the scent of grilled meat will overpower it. However. The meat just wasn't good. The quality wasn't great. The seasoning-- I just might be too korean for this place. Finally-- on their website and on Yelp, they list their lunch AYCE as 17.95. However at the restaurant, they charge you like 21. We asked them why do they listed as 18 on their website and they basically made it sound like it was our fault that we came expecting what THEY listed on their website (opening time and price). Overall it was just not a good experience from the beginning to the end. I hate that this was our experience. So we won't be going back there. I get that they might've had an off day. But at their prices (which are not what's listed online), I'd rather go somewhere I know it'll be good. Hopefully you'll have better experience. But we're out.

King T.

Yelp
Came here on a whim for lunch because we were shopping in the area and got hungry. I really didn't know what to expect, but came away absolutely impressed with the cleanliness, food, and service. We ordered the AYCE lunch and basically kept loading up on the pork belly, beef belly, and bulgogi. The bulgogi was particularly flavorful and tender, which is something that you can't always expect at these AYCE spots. Our server, James, was absolutely awesome. He was attentive friendly, and made our experience wonderful.

Suna C.

Yelp
Get your ish together! Sunday... Yelp says open till 10. Your door signs says open till 10. It's 8:30. Got turned away at the door saying the closed and showed me all the staff was sitting at the bar. Yep! Good luck with the business! Clowns!

Tommy S.

Yelp
Don't bother going... I'll keep it short. -rude, clueless owner -horrible service (not waiter's fault if anything I felt bad for him) -skimp on food; my short ribs had 5 pieces the rest were bones and pure fat -the side dishes are a joke -cheap owner trying to cut corners and save money on everything -any Korean place in Bellaire is 100x better -DO NOT EVER cook a steak well done... why are you even cooking my food in the kitchen when it's a kbbq place. That should be automatic jail time... Seriously, a well done steak smh... Has the world gone mad! Long story short... The owner scams you out of a true Korean meal to save himself money. And I mean he really really puts his best effort to do it. I do not mind spending what I do mind is you trying to take advantage of people. Keep drinking that Shies Tea, I sure as heck won't be back.

Crystal C.

Yelp
Cons: not at all the same as the other Breaker's locations we've dined at. This place is a franchise and it sucked. They don't honor the lunch specials listed on the corporate website. Owner said they stopped a few months ago. Dinner prices all day long here. No wonder no one else was here when we were here. They didn't have the white rice cake wrapper that the Atlanta location has. Meat was inferior quality, especially at these prices. Unlike other AYCE places, they strictly enforce the you have to pay for any uneaten portions policy. Pros: the waiter knew we were so mad. Went out of his way to friendly/nice/attentive.

Jordan K.

Yelp
Foods great, my server alia was very attentive and helpful. Been quite a few times and id recommend the restaurant to anyone

Tutti S.

Yelp
First off the modern decor is a nice touch to add to a great dinning experience. Food was tasty and fresh. Keep in mind, tables have the grills in the tables, so you do all the work of cooking, which kind of adds to a fun night of eating out. I can char my beef, the way I like it!!

Lauren T.

Yelp
Came here for the first time with a group of 10 people, and I'm sad to say there are probably other Korean bbq options I'd try before coming here again. I'll start off by saying the place itself is very chic and cool-looking. It's got a good location in the Sugar Land Town Center, and the tables/booths are clean. I do appreciate that they have seating for parties that doesn't require splitting up the group. The servers were very nice, but it did take a while for our orders to come out. We had to ask them to leave pitchers of water since it would take too long to keep asking them for refills. Granted, they had a few other large groups too, but it was a hassle having to ask times for more bonchon, water, and rice only for us to get one of them 20 mins later. We had to keep pressing the call button several times. :/ Not sure if this is a temporary change due to the pandemic, but the AYCE menu changed so that it doesn't include galbi (short ribs); you have to purchase those a la cart. That was a little off-putting since other places have galbi on their AYCE menu for the same price. I was also a little disappointed in the small bonchon selection. They only had fish cakes, kimchi, and radish. Usually other places have a bigger spread and will refill them for you more readily. We would only get one or two small dishes each time we asked for more, and we had to split them between 10 people so obviously we'd run out pretty fast. The quality of the meats we did get were very good, so I gave a few stars for that. The porkbelly cuts were super thicccc (lol) and the marinated meats were tasty. Overall, I liked that they have a convenient location, a cool ambience, and nice servers. However, the limited AYCE menu didn't seem to make the cost worth it when you can get more meats for the same price (or lower) at other places, and the super small bonchon selection was disappointing. I would put this as a good place for a large group where you'll mostly be drinking and if you're more interested in ambience, but if you want something closer to an authentic Korean bbq experience, I'd probably save this place for last unfortunately. :(

Yelp
I ate here for the first time and also treated out my ex coworker on her bday which she also enjoyed. We both got the all u can eat option off the menu. The service was excellent, our server was always coming by us every couple minutes to ask if we are okay and if we needed anything

Yelp
We came here quite often and I have to say boy have things changed. The food is amazing still let's be clear and our service was actually excellent! So why the low score? Management and the the overall cleanliness of this place looks to have gone down. Our server clearly had multiple tables and still was exceptional. The manager was disappointing he asked if we where ok, we asked for additional items he actually never bought the items. The bar was not stocked so choices slim and our waiter made the drinks. This visit was definitely not at the top of my list I love the food the bulgogi to die for! but things have changed and we may have to break up .

Yelp
Loved our first trip to Breakers! My wife and I, came with our two young children, not really knowing what to expect. We knew it was a cook yourself Korean BBQ chain, but that's about it. The staff that greeted us was friendly, and we only had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. The table size is the only thing that I really didn't like of the whole experience. With 4 of us at one of the regular sized booths, it was just a little tight, as there are so many different plates and bowls on the table. As far as the food goes, there are two menu choices. One is 24.99 and the other is 29.99. Kids were half off, up to age 9 i believe. We went with the 29.99 version, as it included a couple extra things, and for not much more money. Its a little confusing how it all works, but essentially they bring you 6 or so Korean sides to start, along with whatever rice you want (the garlic butter rice and bulgogi fried rice are amazing) and then you choose 3 types of meat to begin with. There are other side options available to you, such as miso soup, cheese sauce, and many more. After your first meats, you can keep ordering more, and more sides as well. Its all you can eat, although the short ribs are limited to 3 orders. Our favorite meats were definitely the aged short ribs, bulgogi, and spicy pork. We got a tip from our server to get the cheese sauce to dip the pork in, and it definitely paid off. There was plenty for the kids to eat as well, such as teriyaki chicken, shrimp, ours love the bulgogi, and much more. It wouldn't be an every day meal for us, but definitely a great place to try for a special occasion.

Yelp
One of the hidden gems in Sugarland. The food is great and the environment has a mix of antique and modern look to it. There's different types of people around, very diverse. Even got to meet Phuqey and Ms Kim. They looked just like the tiktok videos, even better to have met Devi.

Yelp
Don't waste your money! And here's why. Came here looking for AYCE Korean BBQ since the place we go to is closed Monday's. Big mistake. Place is expensive but on par with other KBBQ places however for the price the meat selection is very limited for an "all you can eat" menu (at it's highest $35 tier). Service was mediocre and it took a long time to get food to our table. Soda was flat, so we decided to ask for a sweet tea and was charged for another glass. There are many other Korean BBQ places within a 15 min drive of this place. Want "AYCE" try Handam. Handam has a ton of different options for "AYCE" and does not cheap out on quality of the meats. Another great KBBQ place is Honey Pig, but it is not "AYCE". Two places that are 15 mins away and much better in both experience and value. Don't get suckered in to paying for sub par Korean BBQ because it's convenient and located in a nice area like Town Center. You have other options that will leave you more satisfied than what you will ever get with this place. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Yelp
who runs this place? it smells like urine, the tables and walls are disgusting, ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. do the owners not care about this location anymore? the servers masks are so dirty its BROWN. our share plates were nasty with food on it. They took our order, and i asked will you be able to remember if you dont write it down, and she said okay- 6 minutes later she comes back with a paper and pen asks us to repeat our order. it took them 20 minutes to take our order and retake it. This will probably my first and last time coming here. If you dont want to work dont be here, your negative energy makes me lose my appetite. servers touching their nasty ass masks and hair while walking around, manager came by with his phone in his hand typing on his phone while speaking to us- its 1015pm, they mentioned this was their last call time when we walked in. We asked our server if this was last call and she legit said YOURE GONNA ORDER MORE? YOU ALREADY ORDERED ALOT. YOU CAN FINISH EVERYTHING? we asked for our full check, we didnt eat ONE ITEM we ordered. none of our food came out. but we paid our FULL BILL and will leave. this is disgusting. (update) as we are walking to the front to pay we heard a gentleman call us "fkn bitches" in korean- maybe he thought we werent korean and wouldnt hear or understand? lol who does that? while we were standing in the front this old korean gentleman comes up and tells us if we had an issue we should have brought it up to him- WE WERE SITTING DOWN FOR 40 MINUTES. sir while you were busy sitting out chatting with your lady friend- the server or manager should have brought it up to you, instead of harassing us about whats going on. even in the front, it took us 6 whole minutes to get our check, pay, sign and leave because they couldnt get us our itemized receipt. if you dont want to work, dont come. dont harass your customers because you dont have it in you to be polite. People work hard for their money to come and support local businesses. The least you can do is apologize for the mishap but instead yall rolled your eyes, acted busy texting on your phone and try to ignore us when confronted.

Yelp
This place is filthy. Table was streaky with old wash cloth. It was our first time as an experience, but it was wildly underwhelming. The taste is ok but sub-par. I will not be coming back.

Yelp
First time visitor, for lunch yesterday. We were surprised that they did not offer a lunch menu. I don't know many people who are looking for all you can eat for lunch. I think this business could do a big lunch business if they offered a smaller lunch portion and/or special. As a result we ordered a la carte. I had the $14.00 beef bulgogi bibimbop. WOW! Served in a crackling hot bowl with rice, mushroom, spinach, carrot, cucumber, and the BEST tasting grilled beef with a perfectly steamed egg on top. The most delicious thing I have had in a long time! The rice on the bottom was crispy and brown and absolutely delicious. Wish I had taken a picture for you. My husband had the $14.00 spicy pork ramen. He loved it. The dine in menu is impossible to find online. I would recommend improvement to the Breakers website. The restaurant was impeccable clean, and service excellent.

Yelp
Really good food, but the poor service ruined it for my wife and I. Tried to flag the server down for a refill of ice tea, to no avail. She ended up having to get up and go to the bar to ask for a refill. Our server never changed the hot plate out, and finally another server came over and did it for us. When it was time to pay our bill, our server just left us there for over ten minutes. Left my card visible in the check folder as he walked past our table multiple times until we had to flag him down- again. Really marred what was a good lunch. I'd love to rate this place higher because the food deserves it, but the service was just abysmal.

Yelp
A solid 4 from me. It's a typical Korean bbq spot...they bring meats, you cook it on the grill, and the sides they bring are already cooked. The decor is super nice. Food: the meats were good. You definitely get a lot for your $, because it's all you can eat. All of the meat is not seasoned which I didn't like per say, the beef Bulogi had the most flavor. The chicken could have been sliced thinner which would have allowed for more flavor too. Drinks: the daiquiris are so so...very watery. I would probably order a non icy drink next time.

Yelp
Food is mediocre. Super overpriced. Soup cost around $15 and it had 1 meat in it. Literally only one. And it's called kimchi PORK soup.

Yelp
I saw this place recently and knew about bulgogi beef from my Son, who was stationed in Korea for a year. Very nice place with burners in the center of each table for you to cook your meal or they can do it for you. We were lucky to get Stephanie as our server. She was simply fantastic! She guided us through how to cook and the sauces to use with each item. We decided on the all you could eat A list. We ate so many different things and all were good, but the bulgogi beef was a favorite with many close seconds! We left so full with a smile on our face and will be back soon! Great experience I recommend everyone try!

Yelp
This place has outstanding customer service! We made reservations for 5:30 but came early and they seated us right away. We were greeted by the hostess and manager (I think his name was Jimmy?). I informed our server, Micah, that it was our first time there and she was very helpful and awesome. She gave us the drink specials, walked us through the menu, gave recommendations, was very knowledgeable with the menu and answered every question we had. Throughout our dinner, Micah grilled, refilled our rice, meats, drinks, and was very attentive. Another manager also stopped by the table a lot. I don't remember her name but she made sure we were having a good time. The food is pretty good! I enjoyed everything we ordered. The portion sizes were just right. We got to order up to 3 meats at a time and I'm so glad there's a limit because we would have ordered more than we can eat. We had the beef brisket, prime beef bulgogi, garlic pork belly, marinated pork (my favorite), spicy pork, steamed egg, and seafood pancake. I've tried a lot of seafood pancakes and theirs is the BEST. It was so good that my mom ordered one to go! (You can to go appetizers) Oh, the price was $25.99/person, which is very reasonable and affordable. On Monday thru Thursday there's a discount on cocktails and wine...I cannot remember how many % off but I highly recommend the lychee soju..Micah suggested it and WE LOVED IT! We ordered a pitcher of it. Overall, I had a great first time experience at Breakers and I will definitely come back and recommend to everyone! Only complaint: I wish I could eat and try more meat!!! If you haven't tried Breakers, give it a try!

Yelp
I came back here with a group of three others and had a much better time. I think it dramatically improved my overall experience. The food: I tried the $29.99 menu and got a couple of different things from the last time I was here. First, the certified prime black angus beef shortrib (wordy) which is an additional cost was amazing. It was marbled and buttery, and well-seasoned without overpowering the meat flavor. It was by far the best meat I've had at a Korean BBQ, though I generally don't order things off menu like that. Aside from this, I thoroughly enjoyed the beef belly. It was fatty and coated your mouth in a really good way. It's even better if you can get a good crisp on it. This was my favorite item on the all-you-can-eat menu. We kept ordering more of it. I didn't try the shrimp, but the galbi was very good, and if you like galbi a lot then it probably is worth the extra few dollars for the B menu. Again, solid quality KBBQ. The restaurant and service: Being in the normal booth was a significant improvement over the large tables in the back. There was more leg room and it was just easier to share the different items. It did get a little crowded on the table at times, but that really wasn't an issue since our waitress was extremely attentive and nice. She quickly cleared empty dishes and knew when to bring out different items. It was also probably easier than trying to serve twelve people. I don't usually like to give too much credit to service because I know it can be so variable, but I would say I had one of the best overall customer service experiences that I've ever had. Overall: I would certainly come back to Breakers. I have not personally had better quality KBBQ or service at another Korean restaurant in Houston prior to coming here. I hope they continue to excel.

Yelp
Worst experience, worst service We told them more than one time that the fire of the grill is not working probably! It took more than 20 minutes to cook the meat ! We told the manager but he didn't care Very bad experience

Yelp
Is there an unspoken trend among new restaurants in Houston to not give a crap about replicating the quality of food that their popular mother restaurants were known for? Is there not enough competition out there so they decided they could cut some slack? Or do they just think Houstonians have shit taste? Dallas Breakers and Houston Breakers have almost identical interior designs, but feel like two completely different restaurants. First red flag was when our server suggested "Teriyaki Chicken" as one of the most popular items on their menu, to which I could not stop myself from blurting out a challenge to his opinion. "Wait are you serious about Teriyaki Chicken...?" Thought I was in an authentic AYCE KBBQ restaurant, not PF Chang's? I was appalled that it was even an option on the menu. Also there was no portion reduction for a smaller party, so we were not able to try everything on the menu. Started off with the Brisket, which was about 90% lean meat, where as in Dallas I remembered it to be around 60%-70% lean meat. The Pork Belly comes seared on the outside, while Dallas serves them completely raw. Pork cheeks were not on the menu (but Teriyaki Chicken was???). The sauce for the Marinated Beef Short Ribs was way too sweet. The steamed egg was overcooked and too firm. But the most ridiculous item was the shrimp. It was peeled and looked like it's been soaking in sauce for a good amount of time. I haven't been to a single KBBQ joint, and rarely any Asian restaurant, where shrimp that was meant to be grilled is peeled for you, let alone marinated ahead of time. No need for me to describe how that one went. Yes, y'all landed yourselves a spot far outside of Chinatown, but it doesn't mean you should adjust your recipes to cater to the general population who are clueless about KBBQ. Hire more servers and train them to guide the customers through the entire process of the meal and how to fully enjoy every dish, like most KBBQ restaurants do. Heck, KBBQ places in LA Cali don't even let you touch the grill. You basically have a chef at your table 24/7 instead of a server. The only item I truly enjoyed was the Beef Belly, with the Ribs being tolerable. But to be able to order these two items, the price is bumped up from $29 per person, to an atrocious price of $36 per person. Jin's menu has a MUCH larger selection, with better quality ingredients in my opinion, and only charges you a flat price of $26 per person. You know where I will be bringing my business whenever I am in the mood for AYCE KBBQ. #209

Yelp
The staff are great, super friendly. Unfortunately it took for ever to bring the food out. There was inconsistencies in the mixture of sweet tea (got watered down between refills). The meat was good, but not many options. Super sweet staff, but so many inconsistencies. Did not enjoy my dinner. I hope they can improve because it's a really nice restaurant, but there is definitely some things to change. My experience did not leave me wanting to go back again

Yelp
Food and staff improved. Also got an upgrade. Best servers are always on Saturday. Gotta see the crew at its best with great drinks like the gummy bear soju
