Short version: I ordered french toast and catfish. I got my french toast at 1:30pm and did not get my catfish until we were checking out at 2:30pm. I asked for a refund on something because of the atrocious wait time for my items (that should have arrived together) and they instead took my food (from my to-go box, after I'd clearly stated I wanted it) and threw it away and told me "we took care of it."
Full version: I had the absolute WORST experience here. My party of 4 visited on a Sunday afternoon and chose patio seating. The first red flag was ordering drinks and realizing 1 of the 3 was made differently and another came in a completely different glass. The second red flag was watching the staff bring food (completely uncovered and exposed) from a food truck sectioned off to the side of the building. 2 people in my party ordered right away and 2 people asked for more time. The waitress didn't return for nearly 30 minutes to take the final 2 orders. So, of course, the 2 who ordered first got their food (after a 60 minute wait). The presentation was laughable. 1 person ordered a breakfast sandwich that looked like something they could make at home in 10 minutes and at a much higher quality. It started to rain and the waitress mentioned bringing us an umbrella for the table or finding our party a new seat--neither of which happened. We were left to get rained on and were completely disregarded the entire time. Thankfully, our table neighbors were nice enough to let us sit a bit closer to them to get under the patio covering (that doesn't cover the full patio, mind you, so we were still getting rained on). My french toast arrives (after another 40-60 minute wait) and my friends grits arrive as well. We both had additional food items that were nowhere to be found despite being ordered together as ONE meal. While we're patiently waiting on the other part of our meals, another friend orders a hookah--which takes 30 minutes to arrive. Then, they bring the hookah as it's raining (and we're clearly not in an covered area, so, does that make any logical sense to you???) My friend tells them we're no longer interested because -- hello -- it's raining. Finally, we're beginning to check out (because we don't want to sit around and get rained on) and I STILL don't have the catfish I ordered WITH my french toast. Why they would bring my french toast out an hour before my catfish is unbeknownst to me. As I'm paying my bill at 230pm, my catfish arrives. I ask for them to refund SOMETHING from my ticket seeing as I didn't get to eat my food together (or at all bc I did not touch the french toast) AND my items arrived an hour apart from one another. A random waitress takes my food, although I tell her I WANT MY FOOD, and says she'll have it remade within the next 10 minutes or get me a refund. Now, we're inside, waiting for a resolution and the "manager" Debra, (who has walked past my party multiple times with no acknowledgment of what's going on) finally comes up to me and says, "I took care of it." So, I ask where my food is (because I never told them I didn't want it, I told them I wanted to be accommodated for my two items arriving almost an hour apart when they were ordered together) and she says she THREW IT AWAY. So, not only did I starve for almost 2 and half hours, you also threw my food away instead of COMMUNICATING and simply taking accountability for your slow, trash service. So, at this point, I ask for a receipt showing the food has been removed from my ticket and after another 20 minutes of waiting, she brings a receipt saying she's only charging for gratuity. It's truly the audacity for me. NONE OF YOU DESERVE GRATUITY! I will never be back and will be sure to discourage anyone I know from visiting this place as well. None of my party was satisfied with their meals, the food and food presentation was mediocre (according to my friends who got to eat) and it was overpriced.
