Highly recommend their bread! As a non-local, this is a must-stop for me when I venture out to Whistler. Perfect spot to pick up a bite to take with you on hikes or to grab breakfast if you're staying in the Creekside area. All local, organic, high-quality ingredients and super fresh bread baked daily.
So far, I have tried their country-style sourdough and their sourdough baguettes. The baguette has the most white flour content I believe, while the country-style sourdough is a whole wheat bread. If you are not a big fan of the taste of whole wheat, I still recommend you give this spot a shot because Bred by Ed has such a great texture. As well, even though it's all sourdough, I found it was only mildly sour, so super palatable for those who don't really like sourness in sourdough.
Also, their hummus is sooo good! Super smooth and a really nice balance between chickpea and tahini. Definitely recommend picking up a container of it to pair with your bread.
In terms of price point, fair and pretty in line with artisanal bakeries with similar offerings - around $6-9 for a loaf. There are also baked goods like cookies and cinnamon buns, which looked amazing, priced at around $5 a piece.
The store is a little tucked away in Creekside Plaza, but there are maps and signs in the plaza to help you figure out where they are, so no fear. The store itself is lovely. Love that you can see what the kitchen is up to with the open-concept setup. Did not notice any sit-down space and since COVID is still a concern, not surprised. Only 2 customers max allowed in the store at a time.
