Brekkie & Bake Shop

Heard great things about Dr Murphy's Food Hall and stopped in to try Brekkie & Bake Shop. Open for breakfast, simple menu and baked goods. Ordered the Sausage, Egg & Cheese, Fried Chicken Benny and 2 coffees to go. Made fresh to order, Everything bun with the sausage was a bit salty, but the gooey cheese and egg compliments the pair. The homestyle gravy on the Fried chicken works. Remember to get a side biscuit, as the sandwich comes with enough egg, chicken and gravy to make two! Will look forward to trying other menu. Decent breakfast sandwiches historically but the chicken caesar salad and coffee I ordered today were inedible. Chicken was so burnt it tasted like straight oil, croutons so hard they would lodge in my teeth and salad was wilted and had no bite to it. The cold brew was supposed to have a splash of cream but instead, all I got was cream. Will not be back.

Great made fresh breakfast sandwich, huge w/eggs sausage, cheese (not me) and unique roll. Will be hard to eat a fast food breakfast sandwich again.

Taylor has a great place here. I love everything I've ever ordered. The breakfast tots are AMAZING. One of the few things I can eat with morning sickness. You can't miss their grilled cheese either. It's the best. A big plus is that they supper the Guest House and medical patients, families, and veterans that stay there during treatment. Good food from great people helping a worthy cause?! How could you go wrong? Thank you Adam & Taylor!

Everything was delicious. I was so hungry today I forgot to take a photo beforehand. I really wanted to go to a Japanese place but they all didn’t open until 11, and my mother was really hungry. This place is oh so conveniently located right next to rush hospital. Food was delicious always was. Outstanding customer service, nice friendly guy. I do have one complaint- today there was only the one guy working, what gives? He can’t make the food, prep the food, and do cashier all by himself. He managed just find and had fast Service but hire some more people or pay him for doing like 3 jobs

i’ll try this place again because i want to like it. but, we were underwhelmed with the flavor, the consistency, the price, and the counter service. we ordered 2 veggie bowls with eggs. the staff person rang us up for that plus a salad. i didn’t pay attention when i paid. an expensive breakfast. the order took a looong time. when i checked in, they had prepared the coffee first & it was getting cold sitting on the counter next to the salad we didn’t order. i took those so we’d have something to eat while they cooked the veggie bowls. the salad was average, mostly lettuce. the veggie bowl flavors were just ok. the mushrooms and cheese were tasty, but over 50% of the bowl was dried, flavorless potatoes that we didn’t finish. and the eggs weren’t warm enough for our preference. we had a mediocre breakfast that cost almost $40 with tip and we were still hungry afterwards. next time i’ll try an egg sandwich and keep it simple.

Had the fried chicken Benny. DELICIOUS, fresh made biscuit and homemade sausage gravy. Large servings. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

Tried the Carpe Diem, the Fried Chicken Benny, and the Loaded Tots. Everything was absolutely delicious! It's hard to choose a favorite. Would definitely recommend!!
