Some of the best BBQ that I’ve had in a while! I’ve been here a handful of times now. Pork Ribs, Brisket & Sausage are always on point! The tacos are good too! Every side they have is delicious! These people know how to BBQ! Definitely my go to spot.

July 18th 2019- still as good as the first time. The brisket was perfect. Tried the Boudin and it was fantastic as well cooked just right with great flavor. The loaded potato salad was still on point. Love this truck. May 30th 2019 - This new bbq wagon is fantastic. Don't even need a sauce. The pork ribs were perfectly cooked and had perfect flavor. The brisket was moist and had a nice bark. The brisket beans are a meal in themselves. I could eat them alone. They are full of brisket chips. The smoked mack and cheese is well done as well. What make it a home run is that not only is the bbq awesome its lite on the pocket for bbq. If your in Rockdale stop by and try it out. They also have a selection of hand crafted sausages.

Pretty good BBQ. Ribs are great. Brisket is tender and moist. I'm a bit picky on sausage and the jalapeno cheddar is ok - not bad but just not my cup of tea. Slaw has cilantro which I did not care for so just a heads up there if you do not like cilantro. Street corn is good. Great staff and environment.

Some of the best bbq I've had sitting at a picnic table, outside. This place makes it feel like your at a picnic but the meat is the best in state. The brisket, ribs, and sausage are mouthwatering delicious. Worth the drive if you don't live in the area. Sides of corn and greenbeans are passable. The owner even came by our table and asked our opinion. Will definitely be back again.

Got here at 10:45...1st in line! Got the 5 meat 3 sides sampler since it was our 1st time here. Outstanding bbq. Brisket was the best ever. The turkey and chicken were tasty also. Got a 1/4 lb of pork belly that was really good. The kicker was the peach glazed baby back ribs...WOW. You have to try these when you come. Sides were great. My only small quibble was the Nutter Butter banana pudding. Tasted great but no bananas in the mix. But best ever bbq hands down. To me, this place should have been Texas Monthly's Number 1. Maybe next year

Super tender brisket and ribs. Pork steak was good and peppery. Sides were good. Nutter butter banana pudding to die for!! Awesome staff and the owner was very nice. Make the trip!!

So I’m working in Cameron Texas, and for lunch I google food near me. Bretts BBQ in Rockdale. WOW! The ribs, brisket, the turkey and sausage is all delicious. Go try them if you haven’t. If your going to central Texas, look them up.

Incredible bbq , really impressed. The plates are one of the best deals around too . Very generous amount of meat. Brisket and pulled pork are the stars here for me. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a trip from Austin
