Yelp
Brew Brew Coffee Lounge may not have the flashy, stylish exteriors and a logo of the Statue of Liberty painted in green, but they have friendly faces, neighborhood serenity, and quality coffee from Metropolis.
After a trip to the bank on a Saturday morning, Rosa J. and her hubby needed to continue their days with energy and open eyes. I occasionally passed by Brew Brew when running errands at Logan Square/Avondale neighborhoods on Diversey, one (1) block east from Pulaski and directly across from the Kosciusko Park.
Other than the basic fresh-brewed coffee such as Americano and Red Eye, they have a few caffeinated specialty beverages. We adventurous people ordered a medium mocha, a medium tiramisu latte, and a poppyseed muffin. The total came to $11.45. I would say prices were fair for the neighborhood standard.
When I was settling down, pulling my i-pad mini out of my bag, and logged onto their free wifi, our drinks were delivered to our table. How kind! That's why I like the local neighborhood coffee shops, because there's no need to ask for names and write them with a sharpie on the cups.
Their tiramisu latte was listed on the "special menu" on the black board in the back. If you like to "drink your dessert in a cup," I would definitely recommend this creatively-crafted beverage to you Yelp sweet lovers!
Their matcha mocha was quite solid as well. After all, you can't go wrong with Metropolis coffee in the house!
I wish a community coffee house like Brew Brew Coffee Lounge exists in my hood, Albany Park. Perhaps re-creating BBCL will be my next mission in life...you never know!
