We've dined here many times before -- at least a dozen -- and have generally enjoyed our experiences, which is why this visit was especially disappointing.
We requested a booth reservation not in the bar area, but when we arrived, we were told we could not be seated at a booth unless we had a larger party. This was confusing, as there were several booth tables occupied by three people, the same size as our party.
Once seated, our server returned to the table every few minutes asking if we were ready, despite us explaining that it was brunch and we needed a moment to review the menu since it differed from what we'd had before. Instead of allowing us time, he hovered nearby and appeared to be watching our table, which made the experience uncomfortable.
The food itself was also an issue. The salmon was overcooked and heavily seasoned. Additionally, we specifically requested the dressing on the side, yet it arrived already on the salad and had to be corrected.
Throughout the meal, the server repeatedly asked if everything was on one check and continued asking if we wanted anything else, which felt less like attentive service and more like being rushed out. When he cleared the plates -- despite the fact that almost none of the salmon salad had been eaten, only a few bites total -- he never asked whether we enjoyed the food or if something was wrong.
We're disappointed because this is a place we've supported many times in the past, but this brunch experience felt rushed and lacked the level of service we've come to expect.
