We queued for about 50 minutes, so naturally, I was expecting the food to be mind-blowingly good—something truly worth the wait. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype. The overall experience felt a bit average, like something you could easily get at other Western-style cafés. Their signature dishes were decent, but nothing particularly amazing or memorable. The chicken karaage, however, was a standout—crispy, juicy, and flavorful—definitely something the Japanese do exceptionally well. The cacao drink was a bit too sour for my taste, and the dark rum coffee had only a very mild coffee flavor, which was underwhelming. The pudding is also average, and the brown sugar tastes a bit bitter... In summary, it’s a nice café, but only if there’s little to no queue. Otherwise, it feels like a bit of a letdown and not really worth such a long wait.

May 2025: Visiting from the United States and stayed at the Grand Hyatt nearby. Workers are very friendly. Found this bakery that had amazing coffee and baked goods nearby. Coffee was fabulous with wonderful tasting notes 🎶. I normally add oat milk instead of cream. The restaurant had oat milk as an upgradeable option.👍 My favorite baked goods were the bread 🍞 and the raisin roll. Also tried the avocado 🥑 toast. Stayed at the hotel for six nights and this place was my go-to for coffee and breakfast. Probably stopped by for coffee, pastries and/or bread six different times. On the last day of my vacation, I tried a "pain perdu" which was so delicious. Reminds me of a french toast... And I looked up the name and it's literally french toast 😀. Aside from the delicious bread, this is my new favorite! Will definitely come back again when I am in Tokyo again!

Google
Absolutely divine avocado sourdough toast. Beautiful synergy of flavors and excellent europea-tier bread. Cappuccino was quite weak and tasted more like latte. Maybe their coffee isn't as good. But bread and pastries more than make up for it. Ambience is nice and warm. Gets crowded quick so come early. Lots of tourists but not a tourist trap - a pleasant surprise!

Came on a Saturday morning around 11:00 am. There was already a line and the staff said it would be around a 20 minute wait for a party of 2. It ended up taking closer to 30. You order from the register and there’s separate ones for the bakery side and food. We ordered the jerk chicken bagel and the eggs Benedict toast. The toast was delicious, and the bagel was also solid. A little pricey but it’s a nice ambiance and good location if you’re around Roppongi hills. Also got a sourdough to go, which was delicious.

One of the best brunches in Tokyo. The bread is very good. Avocado sourdough bread is a must. It is very popular. It also provides coffee in cooperation with Fulgen. So if you want to eat indoors, it is recommended to come on weekdays at 7-8 am.

Easy to find after getting off from the subway. There are two sets recommended for different time but you can choose whatever you like. It won’t be too crowded in the afternoon and the view along the street is also good if you take a seat outside. Remember to take back all the plates after the meal~

We went there very early in the morning, and there was no lineup. We ordered the Egg Bandit and the avocado toast. Both portions were large and very tasty.

Google
Wonderful bakery across from Grand Hyatt. You have to get there early if you want a table. The croissants have crispy layering. We had the eggs Benedict with corned beef and avocados. Little messy to eat, but great flavors

Yelp
So glad we checked out Bricolage in Roppongi. This bakery-cafe is a collaboration between Shinobu Namae of L'Effervescence (!!), Ayumu Iwanaga of Le Sucre Coeur, and Kenji Kojima of Fuglen Coffee. For pastries, I recommend their pain au chocolat. Not sure what kind of chocolate they use (maybe semisweet?) but it's better than what I had in France. It didn't taste too sweet and had just the right touch of bitterness. My bf's mom also really enjoyed her croissant. Definitely curious about their food - will have to check it out next time I'm in Tokyo!

Yelp
Saw so many stellar reviews while in Japan and I really wanted to try out new coffee places so I gave this one a try. It seemed pretty popular from the outside with lots of tourists and upon entering there's a plethora of baked goods and I got a croissant and chocolate heart. Also ordered the chocolate rum coffee and iced coffee. The chocolate heart had hits of apricot which I wasn't expecting and the bread was quite hard. The croissant was a regular croissant. Pretty disappointed in the coffee it was very bland and lackluster and we both couldn't finish it. The most decent thing on their menu that we ordered was the corn beef Benedict toast which was good.

Yelp
Nice little bakery and coffee place that is conveniently located across the street from the Hyatt hotel. We picked up a croque monsieur and an interesting heart-shaped chocolate baked treat, both of which we were able to heat in the toaster oven that they provide near the general seating area. The servers were kind and helpful.

Yelp
Tokyo, Roppongi. October 2023. A trendy boulangerie on posh Keyakizaka. The design is understated with interior flooring of repurposed wood from an old farmhouse, a row of dog friendly tables on an outside terrace with a shaded canopy and well placed trees, and very good baked goods, coffee, and thoughtful all day food plates. When you have a collaboration between Shinobu Namae, of L'Effervescence; Ayumu Iwanaga, of Osaka's Le Sucre Coeur; and Kenji Kojima, of Fuglen Coffee Roasters, the bar is set pretty high. Expect to see well-heeled residents from the nearby Roppongi Hills Residences, business and leisure travelers from Grand Hyatt Tokyo across the street, and people from Hiroo, Ebisu, and Aoyama. Service is casually courteous. There is good signage about the daily offerings, how and where to order, and where to pick up. Everything tastes as good as it looks. It is hard to go wrong here with breakfast.

Yelp
Why. Is. This. Place. So. Popular.... I went here after several people raved to me about how wonderful it was especially for brunch. So, my partner and I finally went to try it. First of all, the seating system is bizarre. It's basically self-serve, except you have to get in line to be seated, then be escorted to your seat, only to have to market the seat with a personal belonging, then go back and get in line to order. In addition, the line to order food and coffee is the same line as people who just want to buy bread from the bakery - which creates a weird flow and backs up. It would be better if they somehow had two separate line. But I digress. After we ordered our coffee and sat down, and then went back again to order our food, we had been there for about 20 minutes already and there is (by the way) a time limit of I believe 90 minutes. I found the menu to be not quite right. I ordered the "organic farmer's" Caesar salad which was fresh, but was by no means a Caesar salad. I also ordered a side of fried chicken, which wasn't really breaded and fried, but just like pan fried chicken - it was rather bland. Also, I think there was a miscommunication but I also got a side of their home style fries, which are basically just large cubed potatoes - they looked good, sprinkled with some paprika, but were pretty bland. My partner got a double wagyu burger which came with the same potatoes, he said the bread was good, but he didn't think the burger was anything great. The rest of the items on the menu were weird - corned beef eggs benedict, a pastrami sandwich, just weird combos of stuff that don't go together. I will never go back for brunch again. Aside from ordering in line, and being guided to a table, there is no real service to speak of. The ambiance is nice in the very fashionable vicinity of Roppongi Hills adjacent. Also, twice they got my order wrong, gave me one too many coffees, which they did refund, and I never ordered an extra side of potatoes. The bread, however, is good.

Yelp
We spent our entire trip looking for the best food we could find and, as a bread-addict, this may take the prize. They had such unique, well baked, amazing breads we tried in Tokyo. I'm only upset that we didn't get the chance to try their actual cafe menu of soups, sandwiches, etc. It's a nice, cute space tucked inside a residential and commercial center. Super easy to get to via public transit (like everywhere in Tokyo). The staff was amazing in dealing with a monoglot English speaker and were happy to walk me through everything I had questions about. Most of their items had English descriptions as well. I can't wait to get back to Tokyo and this place will be first on my list of places to stop.

Yelp
Stylish and delicious bakery right in the heart of roppongi. The smoked salmon croissant sandwich was so delicious and the French toast pastry was also delicious. I also got apple juice. Wasn't too crowded in the beginning but more crowded after 9. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Bricolage Bread & Co is a phenomenal place to eat. I came here for breakfast. The ambiance was chill. The service was good. The food was fresh, delicious, and high quality. I recommend the avocado toast, fried potatoes, and croissants.

Yelp
I was very happy to find this bread bakery. Of course, I got lost trying to find it and one day I hope to actually learn how to properly use Google maps when walking! I clearly get very disoriented. Anyway, I bought three different breads, and every one of them was excellent, and I wanted to return, but ran out of time during my Holiday in Tokyo. I purchased the olive, walnut, and the Gorgonzola with walnuts breads. The Gorgonzola bread was my favorite. It was excellent, and I enjoyed it very much with a glass of wine in my hotel room. This is definitely a destination where I will return to during my next visit to Tokyo and Roppongi area.

Yelp

Yelp
Great place not only for breakfast and coffee in the service was fantastic. The employee spoke English and very helpful in what to order. The beef hash Benedict was amazing.

Yelp
Great place conveniently located close to the Grand Hyatt. Croissants were delicious and staff knew enough English to help me place an order. Try finding all of this for $8 in Los Angeles without a homeless guy camped in the corner.

Yelp
Popular spot - and friendly service. Nice selection of pastries, breakfast, and coffee. Eat indoors or out. Staff is proud of their product - and they have reason to be. Would have liked to know more about ingredients of pastries - but I have no allergies and tried a few items that were named but not clearly as to what they were. I was not disappointed - and had a popular cardamom walnut pastry as well as a ham and cheese toast. Perfect Sunday brunch with coffee!

Yelp
Located in a very convenient location in Roppongi! This little joint is right across from the Grand Hyatt and just a stone's throw away from Roppongi Hills and the metro. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and you don't have to worry about language barriers - the menu is in both English and Japanese! Came for a quick breakfast with the hubby on a Tuesday morning and opted to sit outside since the weather was nice. We decided to share a set which included coffee/soup/black tea and one entree. We opted for the vegetable tartine and additional fried egg. It was tasty, and the bill came out to a very reasonable 1200 yen! If you're in the area and looking for a nice affordable breakfast, look no further!

Yelp
Right across the Grand Hyatt in roppongi hills in a modern building is this Cafe and Bakery that serves a western clientele. Feels more like a modern Cafe in Europe. Very cool, could be a location for a movie shoot. Excellent coffee and baked goods as well. Don't go to the Starbucks if you're near here.

Yelp
This is such a cute place, the bread is literally one of the best breads I have ever had, and the coffee is amazing!
