"Camp Baps’s tagline is “an ode to fish camp food,” a nod to a time when a colony of fishing camps lined the shoreline of the lake, serving as a weekend getaway for city dwelling New Orleanians. And the food is a tribute indeed, with Gulf seafood shining in dishes like the cornmeal fried shrimp, grilled snapper collar with and fried frog legs with white barbecue sauce. "This nanobrewery has its brewhouse and fermentation tanks crammed in a space the size of a large bathroom but it’s pumping out beer after beer at stunning speed. From hop bombs to imperial saisons to porters to German styles, Robert Bostick and and his team at Brieux Carré have been keeping foot traffic in the Upper Quarter and Frenchmen Street happy. Google
4.5, but rounding up. -0.5 for being at the rougher edge of the French Quarter and having a tight indoor space. But making up for it with multiple GABF award-winning beer styles (there aren't many in NOLA), focused on Czech lagers. Great, new, covered outdoor area. Super friendly and informed staff. Alternative scene.

Google
This was my hang out spot because it was a one block from my hotel during this stay in New Orleans. The brewery is located in the Marigny neighborhood and borders Frenchman Street. The staff are super friendly and welcoming and they appear to have locals hang out there as well! The space indoors is small..but they have more space out back in their Biergarten. The beers are brewed in European style Lagers/Pilsners. I enjoyed the Saison they had on tap...lil funky and sour! The prices were moderate (flights $17). If you are in this area...I recommend you stop in and check them out!

Google
Small brewery just off of Frenchman, it was really quiet when I went. Basically just a few of the regulars and off duty staff. I hung out on their back patio reading for awhile before I decided to come get some snacks at the bar. Surprise surprise, I had a couple of IPAs, one hazy one not. Both were very drinkable for extended sessions. I got a bag of the hatch chili jerky and it actually paired well with the beer. Only had a couple beers while I read a few chapters, then moved on to the next.

I work at a brewery in Colorado and I gotta say, if you’re in town and you want great beer, stop here. They’re producing high quality beer. The atmosphere is great and the bartenders are very professional and personable.

Google
Nice beer venue, friendly service, very cool merch, fine tasting beers. Recommended stop if you are trolling about NOLA.

Beers here do not disappoint. And shout out to Tyler…He is a rock star! Super cool guy! Great bar tender, very social. He made this place! Love the indoor area and outdoor garden area. Fun hang out area!

Dropped in twice on our dog friendly tour of New Orleans. Great beer and pretty back deck for people and pooches.

Google
We stopped in while visiting from Delaware. Nice little brewery located close to Frenchman St. Our server was very attentive and really explained all the options. They have a small outdoor seating area in the back. The bourbon barrel stout was the best beer of the ones we tried. We really enjoyed the whole experience and would return.

Jessica R.

Yelp
Nice beer selection. Enjoyed my flight, and I got the Grodz, Chuggo, Sacred, and Cows. All of the beers were great.

John R.

Yelp
A bit out of the way but worth the journey if you are into beer or have a large group. Service is super friendly, and it is great that you can get your beer in three different sized pours. The Černé Down For What 15° is the best one I had, but they have a number of others that come in for a close second. The area in the back is a place that feels familiar. There are a few games back there and large tables to enjoy great times with friends. I can't comment on their food but as part of a large group we had a crawfish boil and gumbo brought in that was amazing when combined with the beer. If you need a lot of space for a good time, consider making this one of your top choices.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had time to kill before our flight home so we decided to check out one last brewery in NOLA. Brieux Carré was a fun place to hang out for a while. I stuck with their liquid death waters - which they had a pretty decent selection of. My boyfriend tried two rounds of flights and we had fun trying all the fun beers they had. My boyfriend especially loved the Beer It Forward wall! He bought one for a New Jersey teacher so hopefully someone snatches that one up. They have some fun snacks but we were too full from lunch to indulge. We headed to their back patio and hung out for a while. I do wish they had some games or something in the back to spend some time but we still had fun. Staff was friendly too. Place was minimally crowded on a Friday afternoon.

Yelp
Before hitting up Bourbon St to see what the heck happens there on a busy night, we decided to find a few craft breweries and came across this place. It's at the end of Frenchmen Street and looks like a house on the block. We stared for a quick second and realized this was our place. We walked in to a long bar with a few people in line looking to place an order. After a minutes, the line cleared up and we grabbed a couple of beers. I went to look for a seat and found a patio in the back. Cool spot, it's lit up with holiday style lights all around. There's a small deck but also just some grass. The beer is pretty decent. You can buy snacks with your beer. We sat back to people watch and catch up. Weather was beautiful and ambience was great. The bartender is really cool, will give you recommendations if you ask for it and very helpful. The prices are fair and the inside is pretty cool too. Nice spot to start or end your night outside the zoo that is Bourbon St

Yelp
Great brewery with live music. Enjoyed the vibe of this place with a small indoor bar area and outdoor patio. A good variety of beer styles served by a great staff. I enjoyed the It's LuminOsa Not LuminSA!, Italian Helles and the Fauxhemian Pilsner, Czech style Pilsner. Definitely on our recommendation list.

Christina M.

Yelp
Brieux Carre is located at the very end of Frenchmen Street and easy to miss, but don't! Lots of different types of beer to choose from, as well as some NA options like Liquid Death and soda. There are a handful of snacks, like chips and jerky to tide you over between meals. The beertender was super friendly and patient, and happy to help customers choose the right beer for them. There is a great patio in the back with plenty of shade and a big-screen TV to catch the game. This was one of my favorite stops on my latest trip to NOLA.

Crystal N.

Yelp
Brieux Carré is by far the best brewery in New Orleans. They even have a few awards from the Great American Beer Festival! Whoever decided to take on lagering in the humid, hot Southern weather in a pretty small brewing space - what an absolutely impressive accomplishment. The lagers are crisp and light, perfect for this type of weather. They do have a relatively big patio space in the bag, so don't let the small bar front deceive you. So cool to get a classic Mlíko too! They definitely know what they're doing, just wish they could fit in a canning line into that space and I could bring some home with me!

Megan S.

Yelp
Orders: 90's Women's Power Ballads Hazy IPA | Put the Coffee in the Coconut & Drink It All Up Porter Great new brewery in a cute neighborhood walkable from downtown New Orleans that offered us a much-needed airy backyard reprieve from the high energy experience that is the French Quarter. The beer was wonderful and the patio attracted cool people to connect with. Inside was cozy with cute little tables, tv's and a kind bartender that indulged my bad jokes - highly recommend stopping in for a beer or several!! If you're local, they've got limited quantity gorgeous ceramic mugs available for purchase that they keep there for you to enjoy whenever you stop in. GOALS!

Katie S.

Yelp
Worth the walk off the beaten path, love a great brewery, but this place is special! Tyler is also awesome if you have questions , or want to try something new. The names of the brews are the most creative that I've seen in a long time! Just order for the names! Never had a milk pour, try it here (you can if get a baby one if you're scared)

Laura S.

Yelp
Super small brewery. The beer was so so. Not a whole lot of room to sit inside. Nice beer garden depending on the weather.

Tyler M.

Yelp
Good not great. I was impressed by the wide variety of styles offered but nothing was exceptional. Very small seating area inside but out back looked to be more open. Cool place and glad I came but wasn't knocked out by it. I got a couple flights so I could try almost every thing on the menu.

Caroline Z.

Yelp
I am not a beer person at all, but even I enjoyed this Rizzberry beer! The group I was with were all way more into beer and while they all liked what they ordered, they all ordered Rizzberrys for their second round. This place is pretty cool, with tons of different types of beer on tap. Almost no seating inside (it's a tiny place!), but they have a nice (still smallish) outdoor patio area with tables and barrels, as well as jenga and music playing. It was cold, but they have space heaters in the back part of the outdoors space.

Jen A.

Yelp
We stumbled into Brieux Carre for a couple of flights and had a great time! Beers are great, staff is friendly, and it's just a cool spot. It's a little hidden, but has lots of seating inside and out.

Mike S.

Yelp
Stopped in yesterday and was very impressed by the beers. Wide variety of styles and the beers that I tried were excellent. Really hoping I make it back in one more time before I head back out of town.

Troy S.

Yelp
Decent craft brewery just a half a block off if Frenchman street. Small seating area at the bar, and a small space out back. The beer was decent.

Brian T.

Yelp
Phenomenal brewery focused largely on Central European lagers, all of which are amazing. Friendly staff and a friendly, if comfy, space. Well worth the trip and it's a few steps from Frenchman street!

Mike W.

Yelp
Awesome beer choice variety would give a 4.5* but not the choice. Would like to see more elevated ABV on tap. None the less the 2 IPAs I did try with very unique names were solid at about 6/6.5ABV. Service was up to standard. Seating area and ambiance were super chill for a Saturday afternoon. Definitely recommend for the craft beer crowd. As I said some feedback for IPAs would be to incorporate a double/triple higher ABV option 7%++

Meri L.

Yelp
In town with my boyfriend. Yelp brought us here! It was just a short 4 minute walk from our hotel. After a quick look over the menu we decided on "Good Lord Knows I'm Brieux." It's an American rice lager. It was nice and crisp. Easy drinking beer. They also have IPAS as well as sours. Very friendly atmosphere. It's definitely a local spot, but we were absolutely welcomed. A little small inside. A few small tables align the wall, and then a few seats at the pouring area. Prices reasonable! We will be back!

Candace R.

Yelp
We arrived to Frenchman Street with some time to kill before our dinner reservation and parked ourselves in the patio here for a bit. I don't love beer but I do enjoy a good Pilsner, and their blue ribbon didn't disappoint. We opened a tab and enjoyed some relief from the sun in the back, where someone was manning a pizza oven and there were a few other parties enjoying the weather. Music is a little loud but not obnoxiously so and the bathrooms were clean and stocked. Definitely a nice place to hang out for the afternoon and catch up with friends.

Karen S.

Yelp
We stumbled on this place walking back from Frenchman's street. It's just off a half block on Decatur. It didn't really fit with the vibe of Frenchman's so it was a nice change. Very relaxing to sit on the patio out back and chill with a good beer. They make excellent beer. We had a hazy IPA we really liked and they had a smoked wheat which was very interesting. We ended up stopping in 3 times during our 4 day visit to New Orleans.

Chris E.

Yelp
Just a few blocks from the end of the Riverfront Trolley line and the French Market station this brewery is steps from Frenchman street and Vieux Carré in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood. We will get to the complaint people will give you - this place is very small and you will have trouble sitting at the bar but there is a nice patio out back for seating complete with games and a stage for music. And, of course, fans to keep you cool. BRIEUX CARRE is a bit different than your typical American brewery. Have you ever had a mliko (milk) pour? Probably not. This is the reason I wanted to come here. They have 4 Lukr beer faucets, which if you follow Czech beer innovations, allows you to quickly and efficiently pour a perfect Mliko pour. Mliko is a Czech style pour where it is almost entirely silky "foam" or more technically beer in foam suspension. Meant to be drunk quickly to enjoy iitssweet taste it will eventually turn to a liquid. Of course my love of Czech style beers lead me to this place just to try it...and then I didn't. I was with a group of friend who aren't the beer lovers like I am and I had to make the choice...one beer that is a Mliko pour or a flight of four beers. Hearing such good things about this place and loving Czech style beers I knew that there was only one option...the flight. One of my friends got the sour, I Am A Donut, and loved it and the other got a flight as they were not big beer drinkers with Grodz Dammit Bobby, which is a wheat lager; El Chuggo which is a Mexican lager with lime; Sacred Brieux an Imperial Pilsner with Orange Blossom Honey; and Why do Cows Have Hooves which is Milk Stout...As for me I stayed more traditional: Brieuxvar 10° a Czech Pale a.k.a. Světlé výčepní whose name is a take on the Budvar name; No Shoes, No Jorts, No Service which is a pre-prohibition lager; You Spund Me Right Round 12°, also a Czech pilsner or Světlý ležák; and Flek Me?? No Flek Ů!! 14°, a Czech Dark Lager or Tmavè Pivo. I loved all of them and were very well done and refreshing for a nice warm afternoon in New Orleans. A couple things about the beer. It is not going to be served "ice cold" or "chilled". It will be at cellar temperature which some people think is a little warm. That is how this beer is meant to be served to bring out the flavors and it also demonstrates the passion for quality of the owners. They have 17 beers on tap and I would love to have tried them all. Sadly we had to head on to our dinner reservation so I reserve my Mliko pour and the other 13 for my next trip.

David John A.

Yelp
Really lovely little brewery off of Frenchman St., you may miss it, but the entrance is unique as it almost resembles a stable. Beer here was solid, had a nice IPA and Sour, you can get those reviews from my Untappd account. Service was nice and the back yard patio is very cozy and charming, soon as you sir at a table and take in the greenery you're on cloud 9. This was my first trip here, but look forward to coming back. Cheers!

Briana C.

Yelp
Stopped in right before a cocktail making class because I arrived a little early. This tiny little spot is super cute and a hidden gem! They offer some delicious dark brews which are my favorite to drink in the winter (I visited around January of this year). I had a porter... sorry forgot the name. I didn't have time to get a flight but I wish I had and I definitely wished I had had more time to stay and try more of their brews! Definitely worth checking out if you love beer and are in the area!!

lynda r.

Yelp
Had a flight, liked them all! A little pricey as it was $20 for a 4 pour flight and a sticker, but we are where we are!

Wesley S.

Yelp
This is a small little brewery, one of the only few places that had hazy IPA's on tap when I searched. So my girlfriend and I came here for a couple of hazies, chilled in the backyard, and had a good time.

Patrick R.

Yelp
Great little place with off the hook beers!!! A small place with a neighborhood vibe and friendly staff!!

Katy A.

Yelp
Didn't think I'd learn so much about beer today but here we are. Incredible lager selection which is appreciated. Chill spot & recommend you stop in

Sarah M.

Yelp
Affordable. Good beer. Nice staff. Casual vibe. Unique beers. Space is very small but comfortable.

Mark W.

Yelp
This is one of those treasures you happen upon and are pleasantly surprised with. Bryce was the bartender/brewer and he is smart, sweet, engaging and gregarious. The names of the local brews are as clever and enjoyable as the beers themselves. I would recommend anyone go and grab a local craft beer there but I have to warn you, it won't be just one. Definitely a good place to get lost

Brad S.

Yelp
The beers, beer names and staff were all amazing. The heated back patio was outstanding in the January chill and the beer it forward board was outstanding. Definitely a solid vibe.

Kenny B.

Yelp
One of my absolute fave breweries to go to when in NOLA. Usually a good selection of darks, sours, IPAs, and euro lagers

A G.

Yelp
Casual spot to grab some beers away from bourbon! Nice patio out back and staff was great. Laid back and grew beer selection!

Christine C.

Yelp
Brieux Carre Brewing is as fun (if not more) as their beer names. To give you some insight, I had both the Hefe Around and Find Out (Hefeweizen) and the You Spun me Right Round (Pilsner). Their beer garden is awesome. Fully equipped for rain, chilly/warm weather with awnings and space heaters or fans. Great spot to hang to watch a football game or bring a deck of cards and have a good time!

Greg M.

Yelp
Very cool little (and I do mean little) brewery just a half block off Frenchmen Street in the lower Marigny Triangle. How they can brew twenty beers in a space this small, I'll never understand, but they put out some damned good beers! Best service we've had in a full day of distillery/brewery visits. Intimate setting. Cozy little courtyard with live music on occasion. Two pop up eatery options today, one on the sidewalk out front and one in the rear courtyard. Nice escape from the raucous Frenchmen scene.

Jackie D.

Yelp
I love this little brewery. The location is great, right off Frenchmen near the quarter but it doesn't feel touristy. It feels local and almost intimate, like a really good dive bar. Their staff is knowledgeable and kind and open to letting you try something you're not sure about because their beer is truly unique. Because they are one of the few that self distribute, they innovate in the tap room with beers like a Apricot Smoked Sour, or a Mliko poured Pilsner. My fiance loves their IPAs and their darker beers as well. This is one of our favorite stops when we come to New Orleans and we can't wait to come back!

Bob S.

Yelp
Really good brews. 20 on tap guys are awesome back patio good place to enjoy! Good merch as well

Jeff H.

Yelp
Amazing smaller brewery in the Marigney. Absolutely incredible IPA's here with a wonderful patio enclave out back

Krys K.

Yelp
Great brewery, nice spot right off Frenchmen Street. Back patio is nice and beers are delicious.

Zach H.

Yelp
Cool little brewery. Good IPAs. Nice outdoor patio. Service was good. Nothing to excite me too much but I would come back if I was in the area.

Katelyn S.

Yelp
Nothing bad to say about this little brewery upon our first visit. They had a nice array of brews available and the bartender graciously allowed me to taste two different styles before deciding on a pint. The back patio area is really cute, and there's space inside as well as a table or two out front as well.

Lauren S.

Yelp
So nice here. I had the LUKR! I love a red beer. Husband had a smoked IPA. He was into it. Friendly folks inside. Clean bathrooms for patrons. Playlist was ...interesting. We heard everything from obscure British rock bands to Bone Thugs N Harmony. Not exactly sure how this place gets down during a rush but a lovely respite midweek after you've walked clear across town.

Jay J.

Yelp
Always super dope staff and beer, clean brews always. The place is super chill and always stop here first when we come in town.

Kendoll C.

Yelp
I'd give them 4 stars for the ambiance, but settling on 3 stars because I didn't love the beer. Just outside the French Quarter, they were a nice little brewery to visit. The sign isn't that large so we had to really keep an eye out! They offer a few bar seats, a few side two person tables, and a large outside picnic table selection with under roof and open sky tables. They had a decent number of beer choices-offering pints for $6 and flights. I grabbed a Sphree Sphreads coffee porter (bit too sweet-chocolately) and hubbie an Falcon Warrior IPA (had an intense citrus kick with a pulp like haze). We enjoyed hanging out in the outdoor picnic area-nice and quiet with decent beer, they offered a far better experience to Bourbon Street drunkenness. The bartenders aren't super talkative, but they deal with tourists all day, so props to them.

Josh G.

Yelp
Despite a city with open bottle policies, multiple official drinks (hurricanes anyone?), and a street actually named Bourbon, I'm still gonna gravitate to beer. At Brieux Carré Brewing Company I found some superb beer at that. The craft beer scene of New Orleans is not bursting at the seams like some other cities (maybe it's that street I mentioned which holds a lot of the enticement instead), but for those who have bought into the awesomeness of ale, they'll be rewarded with Brieux Carré. The brewery, located on the outskirts of the French Quarter, is pretty darn small. Actually the courtyard they have in the back is probably bigger. But that adds to the craftiness (as often seen in bite-sized breweries of the New York area). You'll find several of BCBC's own brews on tap along with a handful of other local ones. Despite not having had those other beer options, I stuck with Brieux Carré exclusively (after all I was visiting them, right?). A flight of six set me back $20 (a little steeper than I'm used to), but each beer gave way to truly awesome flavor. I did my best to pick a nice variety of styles. From the amber-colored and smooth Maw Maw, to the perfectly sour Rubber Chicken Rainbow, to the chocolatey finish of Big Beautiful Malt, each beer was almost better than the last. Favorite? Barnyard Circus Folk which gave way to a lovely subtle bitterness while still holding on to superb saison qualities. Nothing disappointed so lemme just shout out the other two: Notice Me Senpai (a robust porter that lived up to the style) and Rainbow Book Quote (a not-so-hazy NE style IPA that still brought on the dank). A quick convo with one of the employees was also cool (as was his offer to charge my mildly-dying phone). Gotta love friendly beer makers. Overall, Brieux Carré really rocks the (hopefully) growing craft beer scene of New Orleans. Each brew was made with effort and you can tell by the taste. I almost went back a second time (if I wasn't venturing for other beers), but just know that if/when I do return to NOLA, Brieux Carré is gonna be one of the top choices in damaging my liver (after a hurricane, of course).

Doug D.

Yelp
Brieux Carré was just one of the coolest breweries I have ever visited. They are located a half a block off Frenchmen Street, which is my favorite area of New Orleans. In a neighborhood with lots of bars, it's nice to have an alternative brewery where you can hang out. I really like the smallness of this brewery. It feels intimate and personalized. But they also have a back outside area, too, which often has entertainment. The staff and other customers are really laid-back and friendy, too. One beer I tried was the Krewe de Brieux--or a name similar to that. It came recommended by the staff based upon my personal likes. I have found that small breweries will brew the freshest beer because they can't brew it in such large volumes at a time.

Justin K.

Yelp
Great beer, impressive selection of lagers and ales. Super friendly staff. Really enjoyed sampling a flight and grabbing a beer to-go!

Shellie W.

Yelp
Great place and a great vibe! Great little patio in the back with some extra seating in the front. Remember for now to have your a picture of your covid vaccine card.

Tyler A.

Yelp
Fantastic small brewery with a great vibe and some of the best beer names ever. They have a great mix of different styles of beers from traditional lagers to hazy ipas. Friendly service and good music playing as well.

Stacy O.

Yelp
My husband was annoyed at my insistence that Cafe Du Monde was the first thing we do in New Orleans so I appeased him by immediately taking him here after our beignet adventure. It's a tiny little space indoors, though it appeared there was an outdoor seating area in the back (we never ventured that far). We grabbed one of the wall-mounted tables, almost too small for the flight paddle, and enjoyed the energy of the bar area. My husband had a flight with six different beers. He enjoyed them and said they were the best beers he had on this trip -- definitely more interesting options than a different brewery he ventured to on his own on a different day. Service was friendly and warm. They were suddenly swarmed and kept up with the pace, though they did run out of glasses for flights. I would definitely recommend Brieux Carre as a diversion from cocktails.
