Decent coffee place at Exmouth market. Their coffee is good. The cakes also quite nice. Had the pecan and pistachio one.

Banana cake, muffin and matcha latte are great. It’s not very spacious inside, can’t be too fat or you can’t squeeze in. Come here again, not sure why the staff are not so happy, or they are just serious in making coffee or too busy. I hope they do enjoy their work as they did a great job.

A really lovely place and I would have given it 5 stars, had it not been for the slightly dry cakes (we ordered 2) and the smoothie that hadn't totally been blended. But everything tasted very nice. Service was good, and plenty of outside seating creating a chilled cafe atmosphere for Exmouth Market.

Very average but somewhat popular in Exmouth Marche favourite Hot Chocolate Mocha and chocolate brownies delicious good sugar rush youthful staff and a buzzy atmosphere good meeting place. ✨✨✨tom

Excellent lunch deal at only £5.30 for having in. A great variety of sides! I’m very pleased with my lunch + they have lovely selection of drinks. Their brownies are also super yummy. Very pleasant atmosphere here at lunchtime. Local Greek community spot! Very cute.

We wanted to try something very English for breakfast but we were unlucky every time we went there: first time they ran out of porridge and any items on the breakfast menu, and second time they just didn’t serve them on the weekends… so we had a feta pie, which was okay good!

The iced mocha is delicious - chocolatey and the coffee is really intense. Really nice to sit and people watch at the end of the street. Self-servive but staff are pleasant welcoming

bad service! arrived for the first time and when it was my turn the guy asked me what i wanted and I ordered a freddo espresso. however that was the food queue and instead of instructing me to order at the bar he just said No! and another guy joining him after i asked for a freddo again since i thought the were joking but the just continued saying no as i ordered. Very rude to clients visiting for the first time! will not be coming again.

The customer service is really good for a London spot. Their latte with soy is really good as well. Not weak at all! They don't have half and half here and not sure if any coffee shop will have it from the conversation with the staff here. The chicken and avocado sandwich was amazing. Nice and hot with fresh avocados!

**I came to write my review of Briki in October, read the lovely Alex S's review and thought "well, she said it better." And then I left, and now I'm back. Because Briki deserves it, and even though my review is basically the same as Alex's -- I'm going to write it, anyway! Exmouth Market is a charming street to grab a little coffee and a bite to eat. Always bustling comfortably, the area has a great energy. Briki has added to it -- opening recently and providing a nice balance between the chains (Nero, etc) and Caravan at the other end of the street. I enjoyed a perfectly lovely flat white and a frittata with side salad. It's counter service with all the offerings laid out very nicely and in abundance. We were through the line swiftly, paid and took our seats, our food arrived within minutes. Just as a proper cafe lunch should be. We chatted and enjoyed and the din of the place was entirely pleasant. I'll be back, Briki. Great to have another option along Exmouth Market at which to indulge. Parent pro-tip: open 8am weekends and steps from Spa Park Fields play areas.

What a delight! This corner coffee shop is right on the beginning of Exmouth Market and has such character. The staff is super sweet and on top of it made me laugh. Everybody was speaking "spanishish", so I asked if they are all Spanish. No. He made me guess 10 times until I named all countries that are either Italian, Spanish or Portuguese speaking. Turns out: they are all Greek!! And we had a laugh. I took the Bacon Quiche with salad to go and had a bite on the way, since I was so hungry. Because it was SO SO SO good though, I finished the entire thing while walking....yeah that happened. I'll def be back and try some of the other sandwiches, croissants and fresh shakes and def sit down for a coffee sometime. Try the Bacon Quiche!!!

We needed breakfast before we caught the train to the airport. Briki looked really appealing from the outside and we had pasted it a couple of times that weekend. I always need a coffee in the morning to get me buzzing and with it! I choose a flat white and really enjoyed it. My OH choose a freshly squeezed orange juice which was good too. We both had a ham & cheese croissant which was freshly made that morning. It was very tasty and hit the spot. The interior gas that rustic edgy feel to it but we sat outside as it was quite humid/muggy and I like to take the dry weather as it comes. It's a little expensive for breakfast but that's London prices for you. Service was simple, nothing to moan nor praise about. It was simple. I could use contactless too, which was a bonus. They have wifi too!

It is with heavy heart I write this but Briki has lost all that made it such a local favourite. The coffee is now mediocre, labelling the staff rude would be an understatement, waiting over 15 mins for an average overpriced coffee because they need to ensure all their friends have drinks first (being a paying customer does not pay) is ridiculous. I can no longer recommend this place at all. I thank you for the memories when you used to make excellent coffee and had professional staff.

Oh I love this cute little coffee shock nestled in the heart of exmouth market! The staff are super friendly, really taking time to explain the menu when you visit and making you feel welcome. I opted for the briki - largely due to me not knowing what it was. I've since been informed that it used to be the poor mans coffee in Turkey, many years ago.. Due to it being made from coffee husks, rather than the beans.. It is a truly different flavour, with he coffee tasting grainy and like sediment.. It's something you have to try, it's very unique and a nice change from what you'll be used to! The warm croissant smelt delicious so I'll be making another trip soon, just to try them!!

***Disclaimer: this review benefits from the rosy glow of having visited Briki with Colleen C. ... will try to be as objective as possible, but readers should be aware that the company only helped the 4-star rating*** Briki is a new/ish addition to the Exmouth Market strip (welcome, Briki!) but, even though I'd strolled / stumbled (time of day dependent) past it several times, I had never had the opportunity to give it a try. Enter: Friday lunch. FRI-YAY, RIIIITE? RIGHT. Lunchtime brings a buzz to Exmouth, and late October is still warm enough that almost all seats at Briki - both inside and out - were occupied during the rush. Pop inside and THIS IS AN INDECISIVE EATER's (me) DELICIOUS NIGHTMARE: sweet and savoury croissants, quiche and frittata, several cold salads and filled baguettes and "dessert"-y options that range from the semi-virtuous (grainy loaf) to the downright sinful (fruit-studded tarts and large, iced cakes). WHAT TO CHOOSE?!? In anticipation of Halloween's sugar rush the following day, I took a staid and conservative approach: frittata with a side of greek salad. The frittata had a combo of chicken, ham and cheese suspended within a soft eggy structure. It and the salad - fresh chunks of tomato, cucumber, red onion (only comment: mo' feta!) - were both on-point. Didn't have a coffee, but look forward to getting a coffee+baked something (my eye's on you, flourless chocolate and orange cake!) next time I'm in the neighbourhood. Briki is busy during lunch (doing both eat-in and take-away), but with several people behind the counter things moved quickly. Yelp note: the area is a little quieter on weekends, but Briki's got ya covered: 8am - 7pm both Saturday and Sunday.

Located at Exmouth market in a corner building, Briki is a cafe/deli offering a nice selection of counter and hot food as well as good coffees. The service is friendly, prices are reasonable and the cafe itself has a lot of natural light and a good amount of seating. Yea, there's also WIFI. Bonus. The only niggle is that if you get a takeaway coffee they come in super large cups, so if you're like me and you like your coffee strong, best you ask them not to top it up with milk/water to the rim. Also advised to take care when drinking takeaways as I've had a coulle of dodgey lids. Best to take some serviettes.

A must-stop on the Exmouth Market tour, Briki is the perfect cafe atmosphere with great interior and exterior people watching opportunities. Had the coffee, juices and some pastries and enjoyed the ebb and flow of people coming through. Tables are small, chairs are even smaller and dogs are welcome. Spend five minutes or forty five, the visit warms you to the bone.

Loved their pastry and salad combo! Their spinach and feta pastry tastes home-made and their salads are incredibly fresh. Try their juices as well - this café is not messing around!

I would describe Briki as little Greece :) this cute coffee shop opened last year at Borough market by a Greek guy. The place has ambiance and they know their coffee. The only downside is that it is always difficult to get a table either inside or outside since most of Greece congregates there. This is not intended to be a racist remark. It's more a cultural observation that when Greek people get together they talk for hours and don't just leave when they finish their coffee. They keep talking for hours amongst friends, which means that they never leave their table! As I said, the coffee is amazing and if you can manage to get a table then you can actually get around to trying some of their nice salads and sandwiches, then even better! One thing to note is that the service can be a bit slow due to not much staff so if you're in a hurry for a takeaway coffee then this may not be the best option in the area.
