Twin Cities Restaurant and Bar Openings to Know, November 2025 | Eater Twin Cities

"Expanding with a second location, this cafe—founded by Kate Sidoti in 2018 on Uptown’s Lake Street—serves nutrient-packed, from-scratch meals built from local organic ingredients in a 2,700-square-foot former Red Pepper Chinese Restaurant outfitted with a greenhouse-style dining area, a seasonal patio, and a retail market; breakfast, lunch, dinner, seasonal beverages, and espresso drinks are all on offer." - Jeffy Mai

Google
Brim is a favorite for us, especially when looking for something both tasty and healthy. Have long enjoyed the Uptown location and am excited about the Edina location. Mercado Chicken (num chipotle sauce & perfect chicken) and Umami Rice Bowl (kimchi and tamari ginger) are my two favorites. We live further north, but this is worth the trip & easy to access (freeways & parking). Ambiance is always lovely. Excited to visit again soon.

This restaurant is fantastic! Great food for celiacs. Completely gluten free. Glad to see the same management as the Minneapolis location. The manager, Kyle, and his crew do a really nice job. I look forward to great success in this location. Oh, and make sure to try the egg sandwiches during brunch hours.

Excellent food, more space to sit and easier parking than the Minneapolis location. Very excited to have this gluten free restaurant as an option!

Cute place but a disappointment (11-9-25). For the prices charged and marketing, you should be able to expect great food with decent portions. Flat white was very weak and not even room temp. Breakfast Sandwich was small (especially for price), barely warm and the side of bacon was barely cooked (not crisp at all), cold and very salty. The very small pile of purple cabbage salad (?) was tasteless. My friend ordered a cortado, toast and jam. The toast was completely cold - not warm at all - and served without the jam until she asked for it.

Was so excited for a gluten free restaurant to open nearby! But prices are super inflated, portions were super tiny for dinner. Two skimpy sandwiches and two cups of soup, a bowl that was half empty, no drinks - for $60. I've been GF for 10 years and rate the food a C minus. I'm so not frugal but left feeling like I should have just gone to lunds instead, and since the place was crickets on a Friday night it lacked any atmosphere whatsoever. IF it's still there in a few months maybe I'll try again.. it might be fine for a $9 morning coffee if that's your thing, but I'd not endorse for any actual dining.

Ordered iced mocha, pb smoothie and avocado toast. Iced mocha was fantastic and received right away. Waited 25+ mins for the smoothie and toast after going up and asking status. The avocado toast was the saddest I’ve ever seen for $15. Thinnest focaccia toast ever doused in seasoned oil topped with avo slices and sesame seeds. Won’t get again. I will give it another go with something else and hope for the best.

I have been here 3 times now. The first was great, the last 2 they have been so overly busy, they completely forgot my order, and after I waited 20 mins for a “lukewarm” golden tumeric latte, I walked away with something that tasted like cinnamon chicken noodle soup. It was horrible. I even tipped them over 3$ to make it… If you’re paying for an 8$ latte, plus tip? at least make the correct one. I won’t be back again. Nobody said sorry. Not worth the money anymore.

We had a great experience at Brim! The food and coffee were super tasty, and I appreciated that they have an accessible and affordable kids menu. Will absolutely be back!

Yelp
I love having a GF option that I can walk to! The food is fresh and delicious. I loved the bread and homemade jam and the peanut butter cookie. They have so many items I will be back to try! They have a parking lot and you order at the counter. The space is clean and good for a smaller group. Service was fast and friendly. I will for sure be back!

Yelp
Had espresso drinks and cookies - all were great. Nice ambiance, ample seating, and easy parking! Look forward to trying a full meal here too.

Yelp
Went their with a small group on a Saturday morning. Eben though it wasn't overly crowded it was very noisy. I had the grilled cheese sandwich and basil soup. The soup was good but not impressed with the grilled cheese. My wife had the omelet which had way too many onions. The rest of the group said their food was OK but not great. Hopefully things will improve as they have more time to get established.
