Yelp
Bring CASH! Like a mini county fair for adult is $3 admission! Local fun Flee market/Swap meet with random items, rides, games, concert, and BEST Mexican food I've had. No hard alcohol but there's 32oz beers for $9.50 with spice around the rim (+$3 for clamato added in), $5 seltzers. Speaking and reading Spanish would be very helpful (or else learn via Google translate). Reminds me of back in days SoCal LA Whittier Park festivals, or Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet nights.
Everything is outdoor. Food hall is covered from above. Parking is free and gets packed. Very family oriented, lots of kids. Entrance moves fast. Definitely a place for foodies, families with skin dependants, teens, date night or fun with friends over drinks to stroll around. I didn't see any fur babies here. I think we stuck out more being the only 2 Asian looking customers there? We grew up in mixed Asian/Latino community, so we felt weird there wasn't more Asian there too haha But my brother did say the Asian or even ethnic mixed Vegas community is tiny compare to LA.
Mexican FOOD we tried was amazing. Hands down better than east LA in price, and quality. BEST carnitas I've ever eaten!! It was moist, not greasy or oily, with great texture. We thought we needed to add our own salt, but not necessary here. I can't eat dairy (popular line was Machetes quesadilla), so we picked
- LA Botana (means snack) because I love carnitas! We got the Botana de Carintas $8 plate (enough for 2 semi-hungry ppl). I asked for mixed so they added in skin too. I crave going back. Then at the end of our strolling, we called back for last round at the corner shop called
- Gorditas El Fogon with bar seating. The sope was super heavy $4 (like dense pancake), Gorditas $3.50 (cheesey for the SO). Handmade tortillas sold us. I'm not a sope fan or normally every order order sope cause it's usually too heavy for me but liked it for what it was. Booth and bar seating are within and around the outdoor food hall cover.
Swap Meet/Flea Market items include used, new appliances to handmade items....Giant straw hats, $50 leather boots, restaurant supplies, appliances, mattresses, incense and stones, belts, jewelry, toys, homemade shoes to more unique homemade good. Snack tents, fruit tents, drink tents.
Carnival rides, and carnival games with prizes. Kids and teens buy silly string to snapper poppers to play in public. Adults wanting to play too? Theres foosball, retro video games to play with others, or live music concert.
Any gummy candy lovers? Best time to get candy from here is warmer weather like end of May or June. All the gummies are soft!! Gross but other gummy candy lovers would appreciate this haha
