Boston’s Best Coffee Shops | Eater Boston

"You’ve likely seen Broadsheet’s coffees on restaurant menus all around town, but the roastery also maintains its own sunny cafe on Kirkland Street, right on the border between Cambridge and Somerville. Cozy up with a cup of top-notch coffee at the shop, and then grab a freshly roasted bag of beans for home brewing, too." - Erika Adams

I rode my bike here to meet a friend for coffee. I was pleased to find out that they offer a great selection of brew types and coffee roasts. I definitely want to come back and buy a bag of roasted beans. I ended up ordering a regular espresso and it made me really happy when they served it with a small glass of sparkling water to cut through the tanginess. All this to say I enjoyed my espresso experience here. In terms of coffee shop vibes this place checks all the boxes. The seating area was light and airy, well decorated with plants, and setup with ample seating options. I am excited to come back here again!

Google
Great coffee and even better baristas! They are friendly and helpful especially to first time visitors. The foam on the coffee is fantastic and I appreciate the indoor and outdoor atmosphere. Visited twice and they are consistently great!

Google
We are espresso/coffee lovers from the west coast, and Broadsheet wins hands down for best coffee shop we have tried during 2 weeks of vacation. So sad it’s our last day, lol. Best cortado I’ve had in months, and they care about their drip coffee, too, which was so good. Not to be missed!

Google
As a regular here, I can happily say Broadsheet is one of the best coffee & espresso cafes that I've encountered so far in my journeys across the US and Europe. In addition to the consistently high-quality coffee/espresso drinks and pastries (quiche!), I highly recommend the diverse offering of take-home coffee bags. Keep an eye out for their interesting options like anaerobics and single-origins.

Google
As cafe owners from out of town, it was nice to be welcomed to another roaster that carried such excellence and camaraderie. Their espresso was perfectly dialed in and the Colombian drip coffee featured on bar was beautifully mouthwatering. Definitely plan on coming back!

Google
The food selection is small, but it's very good, and the coffee is amazing. I had a cold brew and a baked egg / rye bread thing, at the recommendation of the helpful barista. Amazingly, I spent under $10. (Okay, it was over $10 with the tip.) Atmosphere is relaxed.

Google
I have been going to Broadsheet 2-3+ times a week for the past two years. Their coffee is the best stuff around; you'll see many shops around here using their beans. I regularly get their lavender lattes but love the seasonal drinks they offer. Their food is always great and they keep finding new ways to entice me. I regularly get their Pink Peppercorn Biscuit with Pimento Cheese spread. Most fluffy biscuits you'll have, and they're baked in house! Best of all though, the staff are lovely, knowledgeable, and passionate folks. They are so friendly and have given me a true sense of community. I love you Broadsheet <3

Google
This is one of the finest coffee roasters in New England. Best place around here for specialty coffee, especially single origins and lighter roasts. Unlike a lot of its competition, it’s independently owned, and they roast right on the premises. If you want to try a variety of truly excellent coffee, check out this place. Of course, they sell beans for home brewing. Highly, highly recommend it. Baked treats and overnight oats. Spacious inside, tables on the street. I usually get the single origin or “special”espresso. The coffee here gets better and better. Staff is pro and friendly.

Yelp
Another cafe on my list! It is a cute cafe with good lighting and a lot of seatings. It can definitely get packed so you might not get a table easily. The prices are reasonable and they also have seasonal drinks and syrups and a good amount of pastries. I like to get the good old vanilla latte at every new cafe I go to and compare them. The espresso had a rich and smooth flavor; the vanilla was subtle and not overpowering; it was a good ratio of steamed milk as well. One of the top vanilla lattes on my scale for sure. I will definitely be coming back for their other drinks. -9/10

Yelp
This is a popular coffee shop with nice house made syrups. Service was good and it can get busy here. Tried the mocha which was a nice smooth, creamy drink with bold, bitter espresso that paired well with the slightly sweet dark chocolate.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday morning. There wasn't many people yet so we were able to order immediately. We had one normal cappuccino and one special cappuccino, both were great. The special one was more fruity which my mom really likes. The cardamom bun we had was very good--- not too sweet, very cardamom-y and was satisfying for breakfast. There was outdoor seating too, and was pleasant to sit either next to a window or outdoor catching up with friends. The coffee shop faces a not-so-busy street, so you could enjoy a peaceful morning. I'd come back again.

Yelp
I was at work and my coworker mentioned this place to me. I needed an afternoon pick me up and saw that this coffeeshop was less than a 10-minute walk. Such a cute space and friendly staff! I went with an iced coffee and chose their seasonal flavor which was smokey maple. OMG YUM! It was so good! I didn't get much smoke which I didn't mind, but it tasted almost buttery to me. I really enjoyed it! I am sure they have other tasty treats but will definitely come back to try another seasonal flavor!

Yelp
Cute coffee shop with plenty of space and light. I had a nitro cold brew with orange juice (don't remember what it was called exactly) and it was really good! I've had really subpar ones before and was uncertain of the combination actually working together, but once I tried this one, I understood.
google avatar

Yelp
Eclectic little coffee shop with some really cool things to eat and drink. Ambience is very laid back and decidedly collegiate
google avatar

Gabi K.

Yelp
3.5// This place is hit or miss for the coffee. On the good days it's so good, but on the off days it can feel a bit disappointing I can't lie, especially after paying over $7 for an iced latte. I have come a few times and even in an iced latte the shot of espresso feels slightly off. But I've also come when it was super yummy. My favorite was the orange rosemary iced latte seasonal syrup. So good. The vibes are cute and the baristas are nice. Overall solid but I wish it could be more consistent.
google avatar

Jana H.

Yelp
Great espresso! Always appreciate going somewhere that roasts their own beans. It was great to see on the menu the beans that they were using for the day for their items. Really enjoyed their espresso (which was their special blend for the day) and a good Americano (a different blend). Only thing better would be to have an espresso flight to try multiple! Great stop close to Harvard with good ambience and would be a nice place to work. Would recommend if I'm the neighborhood!

Yelp
Fabulous coffee! ..... Friendly, knowledgeable staff! Best coffee shop (AND COFFEE! ) in Massachusetts!
google avatar

Ailun H.

Yelp
Nice store front with some seating, the barista was helpful with suggesting a drink that fit my preferences. I like that they use their single origins for their black coffee drinks here instead of a basic house blend NITRO COLD BREW: YEMBEK NATURAL (16 OZ.) - 5.50 I'm not normally a nitro cold brew fan but this was was really tasty and refreshing this Saturday afternoon. It was frothy and sweet without being overly acidic. I can taste the fruity sweetness of the strawberry, golden raisin and grape candy. This was one of the better nitro cold brews I've had and I'd highly recommend it. The only thing I regret is not buying a bag of beans from Broadsheet. Next time!

Yelp
If I'm ever in Boston again, I'm definitely coming back for the vanilla latte. It was a solid 10/10. The espresso was smooth, and the vanilla syrup did not taste like artificial sweeteners like it does at some places. Also, the vanilla syrup is homemade. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any food, since I originally came there to have brunch. I saw some photos on Yelp before I came in, but it was just pastries and whatever they had in the showcase. The inside was modern and clean, and judging by all the people on their laptops, a good place to study.

Yelp
I didn't know coffee could taste so good! Broadsheet is the best coffee place I've been to thusfar. They're famous for roasting their coffee nearby. They're a good 3rd wave coffee shop and a massive step up from Starbucks. That said, I drink my coffee black and appreciate good coffee. I personally think they're slightly better than Blue Bottle, which is often considered the gold standard of 3rd wave coffee franchises. If you like 2nd-wave coffee (lattes and cappuccinos) , they're good, but not great...no place will make a latte that's 2x better than Starbucks because milk ruins the flavor of coffee. However, their coffee beans are definitely 2x better than Starbucks, if not more. They're priced a lot more as well. You get what you pay for. They charge a premium for really good coffee and deliver....if you actually like coffee. If coffee is just a vehicle for caffeine for you and you need a ton of sugar and milk to ensure gulping it down...well...then you don't like coffee. This place is a little better than what you're used to, but you may not notice. But if you drink your coffee black?...MILES ABOVE Starbucks, Dunkin, or any beans you can buy at your local grocery store. This place opened me up to the world of coffee and showed me just how good it could taste. I don't dislike Starbucks, but it feels like McDonald's to me now...fine, but underwhelming...something I'd be happy to see at a rest area or airport, but have never drank at a local one after trying Broadsheet.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid spot for a coffee. I ordered a latte and my girlfriend ordered a chai latte. The prices are not bad for third wave coffee. My latte was great I could taste that the shot was pulled well. However, my milk was very foamy for a latte. It was foamy as a cappuccino should be. The chai was very tasty! No complaints there. There is ample seating but it was packed when I went and had to sit with a stranger. I also wish that they had simple syrup instead of just sugar packets, but I'm just nitpicking at this point.
google avatar

Yelp
Sunny atmosphere with a handful of tables and great people watching. I had a buttery croissant and a very solid iced latte. This would be a perfect studying/remote working spot... only if there was WiFi. Walked a mile here to work only to leave about ten minutes later to find a different spot to work. Will only be returning on a social outing with a friend. Be warned, students looking to study + remote workers!
google avatar

Ravi B.

Yelp
This was actually my favorite coffeeshop in Boston! It is close to Harvard Square and MIT. They made the best lavender latte (iced) that I've ever had. My friend's nitro cold brew was really amazing too. They look like they can get packed, but I was there at the perfect time on a weekday morning. The vibes were great and the baristas were really nice. I'll definitely be back here when I'm back in Boston!

Yelp
It's great to see how they've transformed the cafe for takeout only. There are two ways of ordering: order online or in person. They do not have their baked goods list online so I decided to order in person. They've transformed their front door as the ordering door. They have line marks to ensure people waiting in line are 6 ft apart. I ordered a cappuccino and a sumac roll. It seemed that they make some baked goods for the day and sell out pretty quickly! I went around 9am and there was already a lineup. I noticed they also sell coffee in bulk, which I may pick up next time.

Yelp
Broadsheet is one of the best coffee roasters around. I've been to their cafe many times pre-COVID for both food and drink, but this was my first time during the pandemic. Their website makes it super easy to order and pay ahead of time. I ordered a cortado and an iced latte, along with a pre-made quart of oat chai latte and a bag of coffee beans. Once we got to the cafe, there were already several groups of people either waiting in line to order or waiting to pick up. Broadsheet was always quite popular and still remain so! I am pretty cautious about social distancing and was glad to see taped markers on the sidewalk for both types of waiting. They converted their front door into a coffee window with a barrier between the person at the register and the customer, and the employees were all wearing masks and gloves. We did have to wait for our drinks despite ordering ahead, since they make their single serving drinks once you arrive. But everyone was really friendly, and our cortado and latte were both on point, just as we remembered. I do wish there were a way to avoid waiting on the sidewalk with clusters of people, especially for those with pre-existing conditions. But overall I'm glad to see Broadsheet is doing a splendid job in these strange times.

Yelp
Great coffee, staff is rude and unfriendly. Service takes good product and nice customer service to be a 5 star.
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
What a cute coffee shop! Stopped by here to get some relief from the rain. It's a small venue and there's no sitting room (but there is a little bar you can stand next to and chill by), but the shop is super cute and the workers there are all so nice! A lot of the coffee is roasted in house and they sell plenty of beans and other cute merch :-) I got the lavender latte and it was great - I almost chugged it down immediately even though it was a hot drink. It was a welcome relief from the cold weather outside! A lovely place to stop by for a cuppa if you're ever in need :)
google avatar

Blake Y.

Yelp
If I lived in boston I think this would be my daily shop, great drip and a pretty solid cortado. Calm environment so great spot to edit photos.
google avatar

Darlina L.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop! The drinks are solid--my go-to's are iced mochas and matcha lattes. They have tasty seasonal special drinks too! If the weather is nice, there is some outdoor seating. Indoor seating is limited, especially during peak busy hours. I was disappointed to stop by one morning hoping to try their pastries, only to find they were out of stock! Even at 8am!
google avatar

Iad A.

Yelp
Nice workers and service. The inside of the coffee shop is a pleasant place to focus and study. The Chai latte had too much black tea and cloves giving it a bitter taste. Also no wifi which you have to use hotspot...
google avatar

Karina G.

Yelp
Still the best coffee ever - just adding to say that their stick bun is made with croissant or flakey pastry or whatever and it's DELICIOUS
google avatar

Adina S.

Yelp
This is a pretty typical coffee shop for the area. The decor was a bit interesting and almost reminded me of an ice cream shop. The coffee was solid, but nothing special. Gets the job done.

Saskia S.

Yelp
totally not worth the value for money. was looking for quiet space to work with great coffee, wifi, and nice service. this place had none of it. service was rude, coffee not good, and there was no wifi. i don't recommend it
google avatar

Gauravi P.

Yelp
This is what a 5 star coffee shop looks like! Our entire time here was so enjoyable from when we walked in to when we exited. The staff is very knowledgeable about coffee, the menu options, and their trade. I learned something new when the barista told me that oat milk was actually better for the environment than almond milk. She informed me that the almond plant is invasive but also that almond milk requires a lot of water to produce. (Look it up if you want to learn more) But I was really happy when she informed me that this coffee shop only carried oat milk and cashew milk as alternate milk options.) We ordered: 1.) Egg Boat Khachapuri (large portion) 2.) Latkes with Smoked Salmon (2 potato latkes topped with a poached egg and comes with smoked salmon and a side of yogurt and fresh fruit) 3.) Cortado 4.) Latte with Oat Milk All the food and drinks were 5 stars. There wasn't one thing I would change. I also am an oat milk convert and no longer an avid almond milk fan. I would recommend coming here during opening time or at least on the early side of the morning as this café is very popular and seating is filled up fast!
google avatar

Chelsea M.

Yelp
Hands down, best coffee around the Boston area! We've tried multiple different bags of beans and they've all been amazing. My husband and I favor their hot latte to order in store - haven't found one better. Love Broadsheet!
google avatar

Cathy Z.

Yelp
You can't walk or drive down Kirkland Ave. without noticing the huge, Instagram-worthy "COFFEE" neon sign out front of Broadsheet Coffee Roasters. Luckily, Broadsheet Coffee Roasters has both style and substance. $3.25 is fairly expensive for a cup of drip coffee--Boston prices at the Cambridge/Somerville line--but, from perusing their website, they really put a lot of thought & effort into sourcing the coffee. You can read all about a particular bean, including tasting notes and comments from the producer. I tend to prefer more rich/chocolate-y coffee, as opposed to the acidic/fruity brew they were serving when I was there, but it was still delicious and packed a good dose of caffeine despite being a darker roast. The ambiance is sleek and modern, clearly catering to a young/hip crowd. With the huge windows facing out onto Kirkland Ave., it's great for people-watching. If you're planning on doing work here, charge up before you arrive because I couldn't find any outlets. I'm not sure when they roast the beans, but the roaster is right in the shop--I always love the smell of roasting coffee! The breakfast & lunch menu is mostly Middle Eastern-inspired. I didn't get to try the food because the kitchen closes at 2pm. I'm not sure how I feel about the combo of falafel & coffee, but I will definitely sample it another time. I also want to try the espresso drinks!
google avatar

Emma E.

Yelp
Cute and hip coffeeshop close to Harvard. Love the exposed white brick and handwritten menu. Also the various plants! I ordered a lavender latte. The espresso was very good, but the lavender syrup was a little dull--couldn't really taste it, to be honest. Prices were to be expected for a 16oz in a city. The baristas were really nice and conversational, which I appreciated. It seems there is currently no public seating. Cool place overall
google avatar

Matthias W.

Yelp
Went out of my way for their cortados and beans until staff member raced to door to flip sign to "closed" before I could open it. That tells you a lot.
google avatar

Alan S.

Yelp
I passed by Broadsheet on a circuitous uberpool trip and, struck by what appeared to be an inviting bright and airy space, made a mental note to return. Overall, the vibe here is great, and on a weekday morning had the right level of soft buzz for me to still be able to focus on my work. I had an iced Americano and the levant sandwich, which was light and delicious. If you haven't had labneh, its a tangier Middle Eastern cream cheese, which paired well with cucumbers and eggs in Broadsheet's sandwich. I will plan to add Broadsheet to my repertoire of coffee shops in the Cambridge area.

Krista B.

Yelp
Good coffee and good croissants ... not sure why we need 85 characters to post a review though.
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
My favorite cappuccino in Cambridge! Their coffee is much better than most of the competition in the area (Darwin's, Peets), and a little more reasonably priced than Blue Bottle.

Eduardo J.

Yelp
NO SEATING! I'm sure the coffee is good but I didn't even have the chance to try! People have laptops and books out like it's a lounge. If it has that type of vibe you need more seating so those that simply want to come and enjoy coffee can have a place to sit!
google avatar

Evan H.

Yelp
This is Boston's one true coffee roaster. If you're a coffee obsessive and/or experimentalist and love brewing coffee at home, this is where you should get your beans. They edge out other outstanding Boston fixtures like Gracenote and George Howell, and got me to give up on a Blue Bottle subscription I had for over a decade. They source and roast beans with a spectacular degree of perfectionism, and bring this mentality to preparing espresso drinks in their lovely cafe. I only wish they stayed open later, but otherwise this place is best of the best.
google avatar

Zhen C.

Yelp
TLDR - Taste buds satisfied Might need a second breakfast, buuuuut now I can't afford that. Breakfast menu is small (like 5 menu items) but I like the options. All of which exude millennial snobbery but I dig it. Had the khachapuri (Georgian cheese bread) for $9.50. Came with a great sauce that was a tinge spicier than expected, but delicious nonetheless. Feta-mozzarella blend was good and I'm not a huge feta fan. The coffee I had didn't really fit my palate. I won't try to describe it because Idk coffee well, but it was a little thick and had a very strong taste. Not acidic and no nasty aftertaste but I wasn't a huge fan. Price is also a bit high for a small breakfast. Spent a little over $13 on the bread and the coffee.
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Stopped in to check out the soft opening and grabbed a couple coffees. The prices are in line with other cafes (aka high for coffee, but typical for Cambridge). We didn't try any of the food this time around, but the pastries and menu both look promising. The interior is light and airy, and the decor your standard contemporary-industrial. Definitely prime for becoming the new neighborhood study spot. Since my experience was limited to their soft opening, I'll have to come back to try more of the menu. For now, five stars for the space and service.
google avatar

Hannah K.

Yelp
I ordered the Georgian Egg Bowl and a iced latte. I spent $15 on this breakfast, and although the egg bowl was good, I wouldn't say my meal was worth the money. The menu was very small, which I personally didn't mind - but those who are picky may not find what they want. Their pastry selection was also pretty small. Broadsheet does have wifi, but it was a bit slow. Also, I could only find ONE outlet in the cafe! On the brighter side: - latte was good - service was very good - inside was brightly lit and good spaces to work alone
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
Great unique coffee shop! Their lattes were very good - I enjoyed the vanilla. Additionally l, their chocolate croissant was delicious - wish they warmed them though! Would go back - will be excited when they offer in person seating because the ambience / aesthetic is great. Super friendly staff too.
google avatar

Jessi F.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in Somerville area serving up anything from avocado toast to lavender lattes. Nice environment thanks to the floor to ceiling windows. Last visit was solid, but left a little more to be wanted. Latte ($4.25) was large, but came out lukewarm and a bit weak for my taste. Smoked salmon toast ($10) was delicious but tiny! Definitely come check this out, but be prepared for smaller portions if you order food.

Meg B.

Yelp
Broadsheet is probably the best coffee you can get in the Cambridge area. A variety of complex flavor profiles, this is a great spot for coffee nerds, but staff are friendly and can help anyone along. The space is often a bit crowded and the old food menu is no longer available, though there are some baked goods sourced from local bakeries.
google avatar

Yelp
Gluten free coffee cake muffin?! Sign me up! All around loved this spot. Good food options -- well labeled menu for allergies (GF/DF). Kind and helpful workers. Clean space. Delicious iced chai! I was there during a weekday so used the WiFi to do work. Good work environment during the week. I imagine it gets busy on the weekends... Check this cute place out! I'll be coming back for that coffee cake.

Yelp
I'd been meaning to check out Broadsheet Coffee Roasters for awhile now, and finally I found the right moment to stop in! I frequently bike/drive by the cafe on my way around town and have been interested by the looks of the place for a long time - the big COFFEE neon light sign in the windows and the outdoor seating always made me curious. I'm here now and quite pleasantly surprised and satisfied! Firstly, there's plenty of places to lock up a bike outside between the street signs and two or three bike posts on the block. Just from walking into the cafe it's apparent that the owners/staff know what they're doing in terms of high quality single origin coffee/espresso. The drink menu is simple - little to no flavors (maybe vanilla?) - and contains all the classics I'd expect (if someone serves a cortado, then they probably know what they're up to). The interior is beautifully decorated with modern, minimalist design: white walls, light blue-ish white-ish grey-ish wood floors and light natural wood finishes with light blue accents! Love it. Oh and there's plants!! A personal favorite of mine. I ordered a cortado for here with low fat milk - its delicious and pretty perfectly pulled and steamed. I have no complaints. The espresso hits the right spot in the back of my tongue without feeling sour or leaving a bad taste. The creama was flavorful with the right amount of acidity. The small amount of steamed milk made for a great smooth finish! YUM! The person who took my order was quiet but nice and professional. The barista was friendly and helpful. They have free wifi - unlimited on weekdays, one hour on weekends - totally reasonable. There is more seating than I expected. Five 2 person tables outside on the sidewalk, bar seats along the front window and lots of small tables inside as well. I could see it getting busy on the weekends during brunch hours, but at 10am on a Wednesday it was the perfect mix of filled and empty tables. And yes, in some ways, I understand that people say it is expensive - but good coffee/espresso is more expensive than Starbucks/Dunkins/the gas station/the neighborhood diner. It just is. But I think it's worth it and so will anyone who enjoys a quality cup. For instance, I spent $3.25 on a 12 oz cup of iced coffee at 4A's in Brookline yesterday and got horrible service and bitter coffee with no outdoor seating or ambiance. Today, I paid $3.75 for an incredible cortado, expert service and a beautiful aesthetic. That $0.50 was well worth the difference in quality and overall experience. (and PSA - tip your baristas!! Especially if they make drinks this good and serve with a smile). I did not try the food, but hope to come back with my partner and split a menu item soon! Will update!

Yesha R.

Yelp
Best lattes in town. I come here at least weekly and all their seasonal flavors are amazing, although lavender is my favorite!

Yelp
Broadstreet Coffee Roasters has been on the top of my coffee list for a while. The tall glass windows, neon coffee sign, wooden tables, white exposed brick, makes this place incredibly aesthetic. The vibe of the cafe is a mix of people working, catching up and some meetings. I ordered a plain cappuccino which tasted delicious. Not too acidic with deeper roasted flavors. Broadsheet as free wifi to the public (only 1 hour on weekends) with plenty of seating. I counted five 2 person tables, four 3 person round tables, a five seat counter overlooking the street, at least 4 outdoor tables, and one large 8 person seated table. So yes there are plenty of seats and outlets! An added plus is that there are plenty of bike racks so you can lock your bike safely! TLDR: This cafe is for: Anyone! I would 10/10 come back because of the aesthetic, drink selection and overall vibe of the cafe. Wifi: broadsheet (all lowercase) Coffee?: Delicious! Would recommend the cappuccino for 4.28. Would I come again? Definitely. Fallen in love with how quaint yet spacious it feels. Added bonus? There are lots of plants.

Yelp
I've had their coffee beans before (which were beautiful) so was very excited to visit Broadsheet when I was in Cambridge and they did not disappoint. Ofcourse it's currently take out only, but the staff were incredibly patient and welcoming, which is always wonderful start at these nicer coffee roasters. They had an incredible Geisha single origin offering too which worked incredibly well in their cappuccino - it had an bright, almost orange blossom like taste that was very memorable. They also bake their own pastries in house, and I have to say their croissants were delicious too. Overall I highly recommend this spot, get their beans too if you brew coffee at home!

Yelp
Broadsheet - I went to you for the first time today. I had an overall very good experience. Let me highlight why. The aesthetic is beautiful. The interior of this coffeeshop is Instagram worthy and carefully considered. The thought behind the design here goes a really long way in providing a comfortable experience. Even the ice cubes are perfectly cubed! My friend and I had a cappuccino, green tea, and 2 brunch plates. We were satisfied with everything, the flavors were balanced and locally sourced. The design of the food seems very intentional - a good balance of vegan and gf options too! The only reason for knocking off a star is the price tag. It costs us $40 for two drinks and two breakfast plates and really it just cant be justified no matter how you look at it. Anyway, I'd definitely come back here to work or meet with a friend! Overall great experience.

Yelp
Tl;dr: come for food/coffee/relaxing, but not to do work. Cafe rating - 4 stars For work rating - 2.5 stars Cafe: I had a delicious quinoa bowl and ice chai latte. The chai was esp great- not too sweet! Would definitely come here again for a light brunch. The space itself is really light, airy, modern - great place to relax with a friend or a book. For working: I was disappointed because I had come here for the purpose of getting some work done. The WiFi didn't work for me after about 10 minutes, and there weren't any plugs anywhere. Also there are just a few tables available which generally look like they are reserved for larger parties; everyone else had to make due with either counter areas or shared small tables, which aren't terrible but not the best set up for working. Also the front door slams shut really loudly and let a lot of cold air in making the table near the door unpleasant.

Yelp
Unlike the pictures suggest on yelp, this cafe NO LONGER SELLS MEALS! You can still by pastries, but there is no food menu like the pictures on google maps suggest. I came to this coffee shop based on a recommendation I received from a facebook group, and while I was disappointed I couldn't get one of their delicious looking lunch items that I saw in the pictures of this location, I still loved my overall experience at Broadstreet. The coffee shop had an open and inviting vibe, and it was nice to see people really taking advantage of it by working out of there (I saw a few people on their laptops, so I imagine they have wifi). The latte I ordered was $5 and was the best latte I've had in my four years living in Boston, the perfect amount of milk, the taste and aromatics of fresh ground coffee beans, beautiful coffee art, and served in these cozy large mugs! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
