The Best Kebabs in Paris | Bon Appétit

"A compact, lunch-only canteen offering just two sandwiches: a crisp falafel for vegetarians and a signature shawarma made from a chicken-turkey-lamb mix marinated for 48 hours. The meat is baked on a wood-fired horizontal spit, layered into a pillowy pita with carrots, cabbage, fresh mint and drizzles of tahini and amba (salt-cured mango hot sauce). Both sandwiches are available in half portions for lighter appetites." - ByLindsey Tramuta

Stopped by with no expectations and the food was AMAZING. The meat was insanely well seasoned and the bread was fresh and soft. Fries on point. The service was friendly, and one of the guys is a capoeira practitioner and speaks Portuguese! Vai , Brasil!

Quite tasty and a level above most other shawarma places you could find in Paris. The meat being roasted on actual fire really is better, if you like it a little bit charred. Don't expect options on the menu though. There's the shawarma, and then a veggie option with falafels instead of meat. Only order the fries if you're particularly hungry, the sandwiches are already generous on their own.

Shawarma sandwich was good, interesting taste. French fries were so so. Great staff and price is ok. I recommend it.

Meat was absolutely too salty. The pita was fresh and fluffy.

We had a delicious dinner here. Visiting Paris from NYC and we go to many middle eastern/Israeli restaurants and food at Azar was more unique and so yummy. We had most creamy hummus, yummy tomato soup with chicken, left-leaning with shrimp and most delicious cheese burache. A must to visit. And our server was so lovely.
