The 29 Best Restaurants in Kingston, Jamaica | Eater

"Mediterranean vibes abound at this rooftop restaurant, where chef Damion Stewart’s fresh approach to food makes a welcome addition to the Kingston culinary scene. Small plates include ahi tuna bruschetta with a Scotch bonnet kick; sweet and smoky pork belly with the quintessential crunch; and pesto flatbread topped with fragrant buttery escargot, spicy chorizo, and mozzarella. Larger plates showcase specialties from the land and sea, including standouts like the curry goat pasta, deliciously tender lamb shank, and the Broken Burger infused with subtle flavors of pesto contrasted with sharp cheddar. Craft cocktails also feature local flavors, like the lychee mule, a take on the caipirinha with fresh mango and gin, and a riff on the Long Island iced tea that features local ginger beer." - Leisha Wong

I can't complain about the food it was pretty good, service was also excellent, servers were attentive. The nighttime inside layout was dark set, with enough mood lighting. Thr majority of tables were for two do with that information what you'd like, outside is obviously a different vibe but definitely for larger groups

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. Firstly, I must say that the ambiance is great; you almost forget that the restaurant is located within a plaza because of how well they have worked on creating an upscale ambiance, especially if you sit inside. The service was also great, not perfect, however, no complaints about the overall service. I had the Curried Goat Pasta; it was a little spicy but I think it was delicious. Their cocktails are a little pricey, but I like them; the Brew-Jito is a favorite of mine. I will recommend it; I will visit again.

Dinner at Broken Plate was just as described on their website. The flavors that hit my taste buds were delightfully scrumptious. I chose the crab cake small plate to start and I was not disappointed. The salsa was a combination of sweet, tangy and savory that complemented each other very well. For the large plate I had the lamb shank with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. JOY! the lamb was soft, juicy and quite delicious. I don't remember if the sauce was listed but it was so delightful; I felt that my taste buds were dancing. For desert we had the coffee infused carrot cake. Delectable, melt in your mouth and the sauce completed the deliciousness. Thanks to our server Amanda for recommending my selections as great choices and being attentive to our needs. Shout out to the chef on a stellar job. Everyone loved their meal. Broken Plate this was overall a very satisfying dining experience. I will be back!

I was on vacation in Jamaica in August and I took the opportunity to dine at this fabulous restaurant. The ambiance was fabulous, the service was impeccable and the food was quite exquisite and tasty. I had oxtail pizza, my friend had a lamb dish, the other had pasta. All the dishes were very very tasty and looked very attractive on the plate. I highly recommend Broken Plates. Chef Damian, Chef Dawkins and the entire staff is doing their thing!!!!. I felt like I was dining in Manhattan......that's the vibe I got there. I'm definitely going back whenever I visit JAMAICA again. Thank you Broken Plates for such an awesome experience.

The food was amazing and the service was very good. My boyfriend and I shared their shrimp salad and it was one of the best salads I ever had. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and the dressings were very tasty. My boyfriend had the seafood scampi, which included lobster and mussels. I am not a fan of scampi, and I would definitely order it when I return. The sauce was so delicious and pasta cooked perfectly. I had the ribs and fries for my entree. It was just okay. I wouldn't order it again.

This place has been on my list for some time and I finally got to visit! It was definitely a great experience. I got seated outside, where the view was calming and the food more enjoyable. The evening was a bit chilly, but once that alcohol hit, I completely forgot about the breeze. The drinks were tasty and I like the fact that I could actually taste the alcohol and it wasn't watered down. The food was perfect! I ordered the shrimp pasta and I was definitely not disappointed! The shrimp tacos were filled with a lot of different flavors and the chicken breast lollipops definitely was different in a good way! The service was great and our server made sure we were comfortable the whole time. The prices were a bit expensive, but with the taste and quantity, it was definitely worth it.

It was a wonderful experience. I got to try curry goat pasta and oxtail wonton for the first time, and they were delicious. It exceeded my expectations. The tiramisu pancake had too much coffee. It was as if the cover of the coffee container fell off and too much came out. We had to scrape off the excess. The inside seating area was a bit smaller than expected. However, the layout was good, and the tables were not too close together. Also, the music was barely audible, so we were able to have a conversation and hear each other clearly. Overall, it was a good experience.
