"Two years since entrepreneur and developer J Dapper purchased downtown's former Nevada Savings and Loan Association Building, San Diego’s Broken Yolk Cafe filed new paperwork to bring its famed breakfast and lunch menu to a ground-floor space. Located at 201 Las Vegas Boulevard S., the Broken Yolk Cafe began the city’s architectural review process earlier this month. Original leasing documents allocated a 4,210-square-foot area for the restaurant, plus a 1,268-square-foot patio. A tourist hot spot in San Diego's Gaslamp District since 1979 and now grown to more than two dozen locations, the Broken Yolk Cafe immediately became a busy hit at the Town Square retail center when it expanded to Las Vegas last year." - Bradley Martin

It is so very rare to visit a restaurant where staff is happy. This is one of those rare treasures. I watched a waitress quietly and respectfully dance while ringing in an order. Our waitress was attentive and so kind. The manager also briefly stopped to ask how things were going. The food was spectacular! Belgian Waffles, Eggs Benedict, cold brew coffee, and banana strawberry smoothie were all perfect. This is a hidden treasure that is well worth your time.

Exceptional breakfast place! Loved the creative, unique, elevated breakfast selections. The Broken Yolk blows away any other breakfast restaurant. Of course, an egg is an egg. But, given the other available choices, that sets this place apart from any competition. Dee was an excellent server who made us feel very welcome. The full bar with breakfast, is a welcome touch too. Will certainly return.

Quality food, exceptional service, clean cute restaurant. Reasonable prices. What more could you ask for. The chicken was a nice thick piece with a nice breading that wasn’t too thick. The Benedict’s were fantastic and I loved that you could mix and match so I got to try two different ones. Would def recommend and go back!

We stumbled upon this place and could not be more pleased. The service is impeccable! From the hostess to the waiting stuff and the manager/owner. The food was amazing! We got the Ranchero Skillet, the Mom and El Fuego omelettes. I loved how caring and respectful the manager/owner was - we noticed how genuinely he thanked the employees for cleaning the tables and checked on the guests how they are doing. The space is very light, large and spacious with large windows. Would recommend and come back!

I have been wanting to visit this location since it's close to my home and work. I'm glad we finally did. I've been to the other Vegas locations and ones in Cali. I truly enjoy dining at Broken Yolk. This downtown location is conveniently located on the corner of Carson, and it was easy to park. Service was ok. I think she needs a little more customer service training. When you or your team forgets something that was ordered and the customer asks about it, apologize and say you'll check on the status. Our food was served, and I still didn't get my bubbly drink. When asked, she looked at us and said ok. Food: Corned Beef Hash with Mexican Rice Feta Avocado Toast I always enjoy the Avocado Toast and all locations have been consistent. Nice decor and good-sized restaurant.

Nice breakfast/brunch place. They have very good egg specials, with veggies and potatoes. I had ricotta pancakes- they very good, but ricotta was inside the pancake so I needed to add some jam and syrup on top to get that extra flavor. Service was great!

To begin, I must commend the outstanding hostess, Lilly, who warmly welcomed me and expertly guided me through the seasonal pumpkin favorites as well as the entire menu. My waitress, Amber, provided exceptional service, offering spot-on recommendations. The biscuit and gravy, hot chocolate, and hot honey chicken paired with pancakes were absolutely divine. Additionally, every dish was served piping hot.

My husband and I visited on Sat around 9am. The place was not busy at the time and we were seated fairly quickly. The staff is all very friendly and attentive! We ordered the mimosa flight to start and it was delicious! My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and I had the red chilaquiles. My food was a little dry and bland but otherwise our visit was enjoyable. The price was not bad since the total came it to about $60. The restrooms were very clean but small (only 2 stalls) which did include a changing table for those who have little kids.
