A new hub for restaurants in Downtown Las Vegas plans to feature breakfast, tacos, croissants, and more | Eater Vegas

"At the new 201 Las Vegas Boulevard S. complex, San Diego’s Broken Yolk Cafe will take the prime corner position, occupying a roomy 4,659-square-foot full-service casual restaurant with an additional 1,326-square-foot patio that wraps around the intersection. The planned 2,200-square-foot dining area will install booth seating and feature a vintage Pacific Beach design; the California chain successfully expanded to Town Square in 2019 and became a local favorite for American diner and classic breakfast dishes, with a second location in the works for the southwest and a tentative spring arrival downtown." - Bradley Martin

This place is SO GOOD! We loved it here that we went twice while visiting the area. The food is delicious, service was so friendly and sweet, I loved the atmosphere. We got a breakfast burrito, smoothies, breakfast crossaint, and their golden state benedicts. This was our favorite breakfast.

07-13-2025 Special day, my intelligent son took me out to lunch, Mommy and son time 😍 Ordered: -Classic Eggs Benedict $18.95- the 2 eggs were perfectly poached accompanied with house potatoes. My son enjoyed his dish. -Acai Bowl $15.95- refreshing fruits a perfect blend. Service: Always a pleasure to see Karen again. She’s looking more beautiful than ever. We enjoyed our interactions with her.

Good food and presentation. A bit pricey for homestyle breakfast.

Google
What a great breakfast spot! I've come here a bunch of times and NEVER had a bad experience. Great service, great food, great atmosphere. The El Fuego omelet is AMAZING!!!

Google
Good place with ok service. Texan sized portions, so bring your appetite & plan on a nice walk on the beach/boardwalk afterwards.

Google
This Place is IHOP on Steroids!!! Amazing. The Sopes were Amazing, the Trio delight was incredible, and the Waffle with strawberries and cream was great. My Avocado toast with Salmon was fine but I feel it was off. The Avocado wasn't balanced enough and really was more of a Mexican style guacamole, the Salmon (to my surprise) actually took away from the dish. I don't recommend it. BUT There is SO MUCH GOOD FOOD to order! The Staff was friendly and attentive. Will be going again!!!!

Google
Delicious food and great service! Steak and skillet were tasty and filling. English muffins were amazing!! Only thing not recommended would be the side of Mexican rice.

Google
This breakfast spot is such a gem! The atmosphere here is warm, welcoming, and really makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. The food is absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every dish feels like it’s made with care, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. I’m from Tucson, and even though it’s a bit of a trip, I’d definitely come back here again. It's totally worth it for both the experience and the food! I got stake and eggs.

Yelp
Great service and plenty to eat with an order. They do have a 12 egg omelet with fixings. Free if you finish it in an hour.

Yelp
Talk about a huge menu, so many choices. Really hard to choose and know that the portions are going to be generous. We went on a Monday morning and there was no crowd, seated right away and the server was so nice and pleasant. Didn't even blink when she had to come back several times because we were visiting and not looking at the menu. I had the Mom omelette which had lots of veggies and they happily didn't add the spinach which I totally don't like in eggs. Choice of sides which is several types of potatoes I chose hash browns which were delicious. The outside were crispy and the inside nice and soft. Also a choice of toast, biscuit, English muffins and something else I can't remember. I had a biscuit which was obviously home made and so good. My friend had eggs Benedict which were perfectly cooked and came with a huge portion of hash browns. wish they had one of these in Seattle.

Yelp
Love love love this location. It manages to have a small town diner feel while also having some nice modern upgrades and decor. There are two parking lots in the back which is nice given the location. If you get there early enough they have some great early bird specials. We always have great service and shout out to Karen who makes our kids feel like celebrities every time we see her. This place has a true neighborhood feel. My kids love this place, but the real star of the show for me is the spicy vegan bowl. An actually filling vegan breakfast item and my favorite hands down!!

Yelp
Almost every weekend my friends and I are going to Broken Yolk cafe. The customer service team are very nice and helpful with their menu suggestions. My favorite breakfast is the seasonal vegetables omelette and of course a coffee. It's a definitely already part of my routine during the weekend and I'm highly recommend if this is your first time and you're looking for a good experience for breakfast:)

Yelp
Thanks to the Pacific Beast Fest that took place last week I was able to finally get the Broken Yolk Cafe. I have to admit that is not the type of place I would just naturally crave and the only reason I went was because I was the lucky winner of a $18 entree gift card. As I like to maximize my freebies, I ordered something that would really worth the money (eggs with something I don't think so). So I ordered the avocado toast with smoked salmon and it was large, abundant avocado and dish and freshly made. Delicious! I also ordered a pumpkin spice latte and it was perfect and beautiful. Very friendly and fast service.

Yelp
Broken Yolk NEVER disappoints! I love this diner for so many reasons. Their menu is large and has the classics but also offers seasonal favorites. Usually extremely busy in the mornings, I've never had to wait for a table for very long. Once seated the servers are quick to get your drink orders and ensure you're well taken care of! I've been here numerous times and my favorites include the egg white spinach wrap and lemon ricotta pancakes. Make sure to check out the patio up top or lean into a cozy booth space inside.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at Broken Yolk for the first time today, and it was nothing short of phenomenal. Partnering with our Foster Daughters family agency Jingle Mingle, we were treated to a memorable experience that left a lasting impression. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a beautifully decorated private room that set the tone for a special occasion. The buffet spread was impressive, with a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. As a bacon aficionado, I was delighted to find that the bacon was crispy and flavorful, without any preservatives or additives. Our foster daughter, who can be quite particular about her food, was thrilled with the options available and even asked for seconds - a testament to the exceptional quality of the cuisine. The service was attentive, friendly, and genuinely warm, making us feel like part of the family.

Yelp
Nancy was our waitress and she was friendly, attentive and definitely made our experience better! I tried the huevos rancheros, I have had better but it was still good. If I ever make it back I will try something else. The blueberry muffin was one of my favorites. Big juicy blueberries, moist cake. Highly recommend! We decided to try the mimosa flight after seeing others having it at other tables. It came with an orange juice, pomegranate juice, lemonade and grapefruit. Fun way to try different flavors! We are from out of town so probably won't make it back but I recommend giving it a shot!
google avatar

Gamini G.

Yelp
My husband was very excited to try this place. We got a table in their outdoor area. The ambiance was very SoCal themed and neat. I got the Greek omelette and the pomegranate mimosa. My omelette was cooked perfectly and was packed with flavor. I was surprised by the quantity of food. I also got a side of rice and beans. The dish came with salsa, which enhanced the flavors of the overall dish. I was surprised by how tasty and potent the mimosa was. Our server did a great job. She ensured that we were well taken care of and gave us a table with a street view. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out for a nice brunch experience!

Yelp
I love this place, the people, the decor, the ambiance, the location, the poached eggs and the sausage. But for the life of me, I can't understand why the burn the pancakes I order week after week on one side. I've asked for lightly cooked, I've spoken to the manager, and it has no correlation to the time of day, whether they are busy or not. The lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes always come out burnt. Having been a server, I hate sending my food back, especially when there is no change. I guess all I can do is hope that one day they'll get it right Call me, The Eternal Optomist.

Yelp
Varies from ok to good for a chain restaurant, but very SLOW service & missing/wrong order & illegal SANITATION are the major problems. Last time there, I sat solo at the kitchen counter & was DISGUSTED by watching MANY UNSANITARY practices...the repeatedly DIRTY cloth wiping rag touching people's food & plates repeatedly & server Nancy touching her NOSE repeatedly & scratching her BEHIND & then touching foods & putting rolls onto the plates barehanded, no hand washing ever by all at kitchen pickup area, a GERM bath. Missing item on my order came minutes later after meal done. The visit prior, my eggwhite omelette was brought as full egg, server & kitchen clearly "forgot" despite she said her order WAS for an eggwhite omelette. Hmm. Basic breakfast for 1 easily $30. At home, $5. Beware & be aware.

Yelp
First time going to this Broken Yolk location. Happy to find out on arrival that there is a designated parking lot that can be accessed via the alleyway. This location might be my favorite so far. It has a more retro diner-like feel, perhaps because it's smaller in size than other locations I've been to. There are plenty of booths and tables available, even a few cute 2-seater alcoves. I opted for the No Name omelette (bacon, tomato, and mushroom; topped with avocado and sour cream). I asked for the sour cream on the side, however I was able to swap it out for pepper Jack cheese instead. Omelettes come with a side of homefries, hashbrowns, fresh fruit, rice or beans. Also with a choice of bread - sourdough, wheat, white, blueberry muffin, biscuit, or English muffin. Portions are hearty and huge! Definitely had leftovers for bfast the next day. Ps calories are listed on the menu. Overall, a great place for breakfast/brunch before continuing on Garnet for a walk to PB beach and Crystal Pier.

Yelp
We were given the choice to sit down anywhere in the restaurant, so we decided on the table that was facing the street with the decorative window!!! It was a great choice of tables and restaurants, and when our server took our order, WE MUST HAVE STUMBLED ACROSS THE BEST THINGS ON THE MENU!!! I ordered the WILD WEST BURGER with ONION RINGS and TOMATO BASIIL SOUP, and my partner ordered the MOM'S OMELETTE with FRESH FRUIT and BLUEBERRY MUFFIN, and HASH BROWNS. I couldn't believe it. When they brought all the food to the table, EVERYTHING was so pretty!!! WOW!!! We also thought the restaurant was pretty, the green faux leather seats were so, so lovely. THEY EVEN WENT WITH THE CHRISTMAS SEASON!!!
google avatar

Don B.

Yelp
On a recent visit to San Diego we went in for a lunch. On my way in a sweet older lady recommended we get the onion rings, pretty high praise I'd say. Lol It had a classic diner feel to the place. We each had Cheese Burgers cooked to order and you guessed it, onion rings. The meal was delicious and I'll return next time.

Yelp
Anytime my boyfriend or I had friends visiting San Diego, Broken Yolk Cafe always came up as a suggestion. In the past, there wasn't much for me to eat. However, Broken Yolk seems to have recently added a few vegan options to their Healthy Side Up menu! One of them being the Spicy Vegan Breakfast Bowl. The base of the bowl is a heaping portion of homefries with JUST Egg™, spinach, mushroom, onion, green and red bell pepper, and plant based BEYOND SAUSAGE® hot Italian link topped with avocado and sriracha. And wow! It was amazing! In addition to the food itself, service was pretty quick, and the hostess and waitresses were all very nice! I love that this location has an outdoor seating area as well and ample space inside. I'm currently out of town, but I am already planning my next visit as soon as I get back!

Yelp
Holy smokes! 20 years now that Wendy and I have been coming here. They have remodeled again, and the food is just as good as the first time!

Yelp
This Broken Yolk Cafe is located in Pacific Beach. It has both indoor and outdoor rooftop seating with nice views. I experienced wonderful service when I went! I was greeted immediately as I walked in and was seated right away. I ordered a cranberry mimosa and steak eggs! Everything came out fairly quick. The food was delicious!! Good spot to eat at when in the area for brunch. Plenty of parking on the back and street parking.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, superb service and a nice café ambiance. You cannot go wrong here. The skillet was excellent and for anyone with a sweet tooth you will not be let down with the dishes offered on the menu. The coffee mugs were topped off by the attentive server who was most cordial. Well worth the visit!

Yelp
Stumbled on this place while on a walk. I didn't go in at first but ended up looping back to give it a try. The hosts were not friendly. Kind of just stared at me when I walked up to them. No response when I thanked them for the table. Strange. My server Nancy was excellent though! She was just what I needed. Helped me make great bfast choices. She was warm, friendly, and loving. Kind of your typical diner waitress vibe. The food and coffee was delicious! Thank you, Nancy! (Hosts didn't acknowledge me as I left the restaurant) Ps - good wifi! I guessed the password - pancakes lol

Yelp
I ordered the "No name" omelette and it was super moist and cooked perfectly. The biscuit was huge and tasted like homemade. The service was great and everyone went out of their way to insure our visit was amazing. The restaurant was bright and airy. I am so glad that Irvine now has a Broken Yoke Cafe of its own.
google avatar

Brittney P.

Yelp
Pros: blg portion sizes , huge selections pretty tasty over all Cons: unseasoned undercooked hash browns and home style fries The server was slammed but did a great job and had a great support staff.
google avatar

Mehki W.

Yelp
Good, just a little pricey, i recommend "the breakfast republic" for the price. Just mediocre a little bit honestly.
google avatar

Yelp
Went there with a few colleagues, and the service was really good and the food was even better.

Yelp
Cute little place with amazingly large portions! Great French toast! Chicken and waffles were so good!!! Kids loves the little robot that delivers the food. Staff are super friendly and the food is to die for. The offer of free muffins as you leave is a nice touch. The parking lot is small, but the second time we went in a week we parked across the street in the shopping center. Nice upstairs outdoor seating area. Happy for our choice. Only bad thing is the gravy has a bit of a sour taste to it. Hmmmm. It wasn't good. But everything else was delish!

Yelp
Love coming to this location. Wish I could come for dinner, too, once in awhile. Everyone's always in a good mood. The vibe is always so upbeat and it's contagious. The food is good, comes out hot, and exactly as you ordered. Your coffee and hot tea are regularly replenished so always hot. I always ask for just hot water and they are happy to provide that. They're always great when I come in with a sprained ankle or when recovering from a bad bout of stomach aches. They give lots of extra care to customers whether it's for dining in or for take out. Thank you!
google avatar

Keven W.

Yelp
This place is located near Sea World and they have their own private parking lot. I ordered the healthy as I was eating too much junk even though their specials were tempting. I ordered the avocado toast and my wife got the hash brown and egg special. The avocado toast was good and the service was fast which is what we wanted. This place does get busy even on a Sunday at around 8:45am.

Yelp
My friends and I came here on a Saturday morning. It was pretty busy, but we were able to get a table on their roof top terrace. It was a little chilly, but it was nice being out there! Food/Drinks: I ordered a stack of pancakes, a side of hashbrowns, and a matcha latte. Everything was pretty standard. The food tasted as I expected and the matcha latte was a little on the sweet side but enjoyable. Service: Service was a little slow as they were pretty busy. One of my friends and I both ordered the matcha latte. However, the size difference between our drinks was really noticeable. I wish there was some more consistency here. All of our food and drinks came out sporadically as well. TL;DR - standard breakfast affair with okay service

Yelp
We ended up coming to this location because our friend suggested we meet here. We have a broken yolk in my home town, so I wasn't really excited. It's a decent spot but I wanted to try something local. Well, to my pleasant surprise, this is a really unique location. We ended up being sat on a rooftop patio which was very large. It was so gorgeous and that was a huge perk and surprise of this specific location. The restaurant was busy but it is very large and they had a decent amount of staff working. The food at broken yolk has always been good, portions are a bit larger here so beware if you're not a big eater and order accordingly. I ended up having the strawberry Nutella crepes for the first time. They were awesome! The staff here was also incredibly nice. We all really enjoyed our meals. What a sweet find!

Yelp
We are lucky to have BYC in AZ so I was familiar with the menu and big portions. This location is huge, indoor and upstairs patio seating. There was no wait when we arrived, we were seated right away, hot coffee was dropped off quickly as we decided from all of the yummy options. The have breakfast specials also. The chorizo con huevos was great, eggs were fluffy and the flour tortilla was good. The beans not so exciting could've used some flavor. The churro French toast was recommended by our fabulous waitress Karen. We split a slice, it was definitely a winner!! So glad she suggested it. It was sweet and paired nicely with a hot cup of coffee .. it was so good. They have several parking areas in the back of the restaurant. Service was excellent.

Yelp
Great food, great service, as always! We enjoy stopping at Broken Yolk when we visit San Diego qnd it never disappoints. The blueberry muffins are so yummy. Looking forward to next time already!

Yelp
Great all American breakfast in the heart of SD Gaslamp, few blocks away from the Omni Hotel were we stayed. I had the classic eggs Benedict and An American breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was quick and the ambience was perfect for a breakfast time . Definitely coming back , thanks Veronica for being a great server. Friendly and professional. Very knowledgeable of the menu
google avatar

Yelp
John and his staff run a professional restaurant with great food and service. I always tell everyone about the Broken Yolk. You can't go wrong stopping here for breakfast or brunch. Highly recommend! Enjoy!

Yelp
All time favorite place to eat breakfast! The service is friendly and I love the rooftop seating area. Parking can sometimes be tricky and prices are a little high but it's worth it because the portions are so large!

Tendai W.

Yelp
Generous servings. Reasonably priced Very friendly and efficient service. Food presentation is great.

Yelp
Food was great, service very fast, efficient and friendly. Had the good morning burger not too heavy (got it without mayo) still had room for pancakes. Got the lemon ricotta pancakes but couldn't taste the ricotta much but they were ok. My partner partner got a skillet it was excellent.

Yelp
- Choose 2 1/2 Benedict ($15.65) - Breakfast Special #4 ($7.45) - Coffee 2x ($6.70) Food was average. We came here to see Karen because of her superb service. It was really nice to see that her demeanor still has not changed: bubbly, pleasant and attentive.

Yelp
First time trying this popular brunch place. Came here on a weekday morning yet there was still crowds so I can't begin to imagine their weekend's busy-ness! The service here was very fast. Food came to our table in just short amount of wait after we placed our order. Everyone who works here was very warm and friendly. They treat their regular customers like a family/close acquaintance. The mimosa was great. Refreshing and packed just enough punch. Very enjoyable. Their menu has so many good variety of brunch staples. I got the Classic Egg Benedict, came with Canadian bacon, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. It was very good, down to the hollandaise sauce's perfect texture, creamy but runny enough. Tasted amazing. However, the hashbrown was bland and a bit too greasy for my taste. He got the Chicken Fried Steak with sides of biscuit, hashbrowns, and scrambled eggs with cheddar. He said it was all very good and that the biscuit was great. They gave us some military discount too, which was very much appreciated. The parking was plenty, they even have an extra parking lot down the block. This is a very nice, warm, family-friendly place, and it's no wonder they're such a popular local brunch spot.

Yelp
I am writing this review about the service we received at this location. Our family has been here multiple times when visiting my parents/grandparents and usually have a good experience. I was here with my elderly father and young adult daughter who is neurodivergent and pretty high functioning. She ordered a breakfast burrito for herself and a side of hollandaise sauce (as she likes to do). Our waitress Nancy proceeded to grill my daughter on her request for a side of hollandaise sauce and repeatedly question her and comment on how she doesn't think it would go well with a breakfast burrito. She even said "wow that is the most unusual and absurd request I have ever had!". I found this interaction quite sad and troubling. I noticed the rest of the meal my daughter was quiet, teary eyed, and clearly wanting to wrap the meal up and leave. I know this seems trivial, but my daughter was clearly hurt by this interaction and is too polite and kind to ever say something about this on her behalf. I hope the staff here can be better trained on customer interactions like these and can learn when not to question a customers request. Let's treat everyone with kindness and as little judgement as possible please!

LM A.

Yelp
Went to one in San Diego and another in Riverside. Both did not disappoint! Great service, friendly staff and the food excellent. Wish we had one here in Hawaii.
google avatar

Emilio O.

Yelp
We drove to San Diego from Los Angeles for a wedding. We researched restaurants and came across the broken yolk . Our order of sopes and a tuna melt with a side salad were so tasty and delicious as well as a large quantity. So good I went back within 24 hours again the broken yolk didn't disappoint. The service was excellent

Yelp
Great, fast, breakfast spot. It's like IHOP vibes but nicer. The rooftop seating is really great on a sunny day. The wait for a Sunday, for 4 was only 10 min but your entire party needs to be present to get your table. Parking is a little tough since it's PB on Garnet but if you don't get lucky with a street spot, just park across in the shopping center lot. Good Bloody Mary flights, lots of food except the waffle was just one and a bit small compared to the rest. Super dog friendly too!

D G.

Yelp
We ate breakfast at the Garnet Ave. location, our first time there. The outdoor seating, upstairs looked inviting and we chose that. Food and service were both excellent, as was the "flight" of bloody mary's. Generous portions, excellent quality, fast and efficient service. We are definitely going back soon.

Brad J.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. Great coffee. Great service. Great early bird specials before 9. Will be back often. Found a new go to place for breakfast
google avatar

Melissa B.

Yelp
Consistently good breakfast spot in pb with little to no wait and great rooftop seating for when it's nice out. Huge menu with lots of options. We started with cappuccinos, they have milk alternative options and some flavor shots. For food we got the sweet trio of French toasts and pancakes, with the cinnacakes being the clear winner. I got the ranchero skillet which is a combination of all my favorite foods so I loved this fish and will definitely be back for it! Also got the eggs Benedict which was a classic and done well. Overall, great spot for a breakfast spread!

Yelp
This was the first Broken Yolk location I visited after moving to San Diego and so that's probably why it's one of my favorites. It's worth the wait to get a spot on their rooftop patio. The view isn't of anything, but it's still a vibe dining outside. Broken Yolk serves all of your breakfast favorites from bennys to french toast. They also have mimosas and your other favorite breakfast cocktails. I love coming here because they have lattes too. It's a pretty loud location so I'd say that makes it a great place to take kids. They'll blend in with the noise and not grab too much attention like they might at some other brunch spots in San Diego. It's casual here! This location can be a little busy, especially if you're visiting during the summer. That goes for pretty much anywhere in PB and I'd say Broken Yolk is worth the wait.

Yelp
Just had a pre-Mothers Day breakfast! 8 of us! Food was outstanding!!!!Service excellent!!!I had the BEST gluten free chocolate chip pancakes ever!!!! Thanks!

Kalea J.

Yelp
Came in for some breakfast earlier this morning. Started off with a mimosa of course but I asked for OJ and cranberry which I recommend, next time I will try the flight. I liked the amount of avocado and the serving portions were just enough to take home! I was kind of thrown off by the homefries because I was expecting something different, as far as small baby potatoes cut and seasoned/baked or pan fried but it still wasn't bad. I suggest adding salt and pepper to taste to your potatoes or omelets bc there isn't seasoning on there. Everything had tasted fine once i added my hot sauce, salt and black pepper. Turkey sausage patties were a bit cold. I usually prefer mine crispy and hot, but they were more so room temp and not so crispy. Turkey bacon was a hit. Definitely would order more Turkey bacon over the patties for next time Buttered toast was phenomenal with the avocado & omelette. If you like plenty of veggies in your omelette I recommend CYO. Service was just alright. Little things had thrown me off when our order was taken. Not too sure if our waitress was new but she was taking quite awhile to get down my order and it made me feel kind of awkward for ordering my own omelette. Because instead of just completing my order, she said i should get something else. I assumed she suggested for me to get something else, because when I said no she took a long time to enter in each item I wanted to add. And I'm pretty sure she said that because she didn't want to have to look thru her whole iPad for the options. It's okay tho because I still got what I wanted and food didn't take long. The restaurant ambiance feels like any classic diner you'd walk into for breakfast and/or lunch. They have an extensive menu with lunch items, breakfast plates, pancakes/French toast options and alcoholic drinks/coffee and fruit juices. They have indoor seating and outdoor patio seating. I recommend this spot to anyone who wants to find some quick breakfast in the heart of PB.

Yelp
Highly recommended. Sat outside and enjoyed the weather. Food portions were huge. Service was friendly and fast. I enjoyed my meal.
