They are super friendly and very fast! Great selection of spreads. My partner had a whole wheat bagel toasted with Garlic and Herb. I had a jalapeño Asiago bagel with bacon egg and American cheese toasted. It was delicious! We also had their ice latte with oat milk. I'm so happy we tried this place! We left happy and full! Definitely recommend! Wish we had enough room to try it all but sadly we don't 🤭 oh, our total was 27.33 plus tip 4.23 total amount 32.46. Not bad at all!

I try to go here every time I visit my son in Astoria. The quality is amazing. I usually try to bring some back home to Ohio with me. The bagel sandwiches are delicious also, and they are huge. I love the selection of cream cheeses they offer. The staff are all so friendly. Highly recommend.

I have no idea what has happened to this Brooklyn bagel location when I am around this part of town due to visiting friends I will go. I ate from here two weeks ago and have never gotten sick like that from the Brooklyn bagel I knew in 2012-2013. It was disgusting. I took a bite and tasted the turkey bacon and it had an unsettling taste, like it was old. It was the epitome of food poisoning. My family members ordered a bagel and asked for it scooped, it never was and the tuna salad which Brooklyn bagel was famous for years ago looked cold and old. This place which was a goldmine unfortunately was very obviously sold. What a shame. I don’t usually write reviews but what me and family endured after eating there, we will never return, stomachs were in knots for days. If you have sensitivity to certain foods, want quality food, etc. Take your self elsewhere unless you want to feel nauseous. No we did not order anything outrageous either, if you consider turkey bacon and an egg as over the top. Customer service sucks and nothing is updated in there. Few others who have worked there also stare at you then look at the other employees like your from outer space, you can feel the judgment and attitude just because. Save yourself the trip.

Great neighborhood bagel spot. They listen when you ask for only a little cream cheese (trust me this is rare). Staff is friendly and often bi- or tri-lingual. Only downside is it closes earlier in the afternoon. Lots of people come and eat here or grab and go. Lemon poppy seed cream cheese. Irish soda bread bagels on Saint Patrick's Day! I come here often.

Really good bagels and they're huge. Definitely recommend the everything bagel with the veggie spread.

Love this place. Every time I come from San Antonio, I find my way to this place. The bagels are huge, they don't skimp on the cream cheese and the people are sooooo nice! I really appreciate them. Take extras!

Funny how Brooklyn Bagel doesn't have a single location in Brooklyn... Anyways, we love getting our bagels from Brooklyn Bagel because their bagels are always soft and perfectly chewy. It also doesn't hurt that they have such a large selection of smears and bagel creations on their menu. My favorite is the Hungry Man on an onion bagel (or wrapped when I feel like having less carbs) and my wife's favorite is the Noguchi on a garlic bagel. The place can be quite crowded, but everyone moves quickly, so the place never gets crazy packed. There is a small dining area (~10 tables), but we usually take our bagels back to our apartment to enjoy. A very solid bagel shop and gives the New York style bagels a good name.

Stopped by here for a quick breakfast and got the third rail which was a healthier option with egg whites turkey bacon avocado Gouda and hot sauce and it did not disappoint very filling. We also got the meat egg and cheese and it was gooey and the bagels were both so fresh and soft. Definitely need to try it with cream cheese next time!

Love this bagel shop, I go everytime I'm in town to pick up bagels to bring back home. Just an absolutely classic NY Bagel spot, with a variety of spreads and bagel flavors that are well made and reasonably priced for bakers dozen. I highly recommend the French Toast bagel as interesting departure from the classics, but for a traditionalist the Everything bagel will do the trick! Quick service and does have some seating if you need to sit down.

I'm a fan of Brooklyn Bagel by NYU so it was a pleasant surprise to see them in Astoria too. They have the same ordering system (order first, receive your order ticket, pay at the other register) so it was a very seamless and well-organized experience. I was in and out within 10 minutes with an egg everything with butter ($2.95) and a sesame seed with veggie cream cheese ($5.75). The bagels were very fresh and had a generous amount of cream cheese. Overall a solid bagel shop and my go-to in the neighborhood.

Overpriced, rubbery tasting GARBAGE bagels. Will never be going back. THERE WAS A BUG IN MY BAGEL. I am beyond disgusted.

Ordered a bagle w/ pain cream cheese, this bagel was the size of my hand you can tell they are made fresh cost was around $9.00 I did also get a bottel of coke to go with my bagle so it was about $6.00 for the bagel . Not including tip. Service was good the lady behind the counter was pleasant but had a hard time hearing me it may have been because of the music,not sure but we got what we went in for. The ambiance was decent the tables needed to be cleaned and it was a little hot in this shop, but I did like that they support artist they had a couple different pieces of art for sale which seemed to be by locals. The bagels are fresh and the selection is a variety for bagels and cream cheeses. Among other food and drinks.

Back to my once favorite bagel shop. This time for full-size bagels. Use to come for mini bagels which I thought were the perfect size. Although the full size bagels are large, it might be a bit too large and you definitely are eating lots more bread. Taste is still great. So I guess I am in the minority where I am a definite big fan of the mini bagels here and am an ok fan of the full size. Keep the size and take out a little of the dough and maybe reduce the price a bit and it would once again be a hands down winner! Service continues to be excellent.

Brooklyn Bagel's bagels are beasts! You know they don't skimp on the cream cheese when you hear a customer ask them to go light on the stuff. And when you walk by a house chowing down on your smoked salmon bagel sandwich (the Bkbagel Classic) and someone outside exclaims, "That's a huge bagel!" Well, I forgot what she said exactly, but you get the picture. The everything bagel ($1.75) is no slouch, measuring at about 4.5" in diameter and weighing roughly half a pound. The seasoning coats both the top and the bottom of the bagel which I always approve of. Chewy, fresh, and delicious!

When we visited New York, our Air B&B was within walking distance of Brooklyn Bagel. We tried their BKBagel Classic with smoked salmon, scallion cream cheese, red onion, tomato and capers. Every day after that initial visit, for the rest of the week, I'd wake up at the crack of dawn and make the 10 minute walk down Ditmars Blvd so that I could get my order in just after they opened; I needed more of that BKBagel Classic in my life. It's packed with the perfect amount of toppings and, months later, I find myself thinking about how perfect it was. Calling in your order is helpful but Brooklyn Bagel's people are quick enough that you could order when you get there and not wait terribly long. If you're visiting New York and you're in the area, definitely stop by for a BK Classic.

We ordered the Hell's Kitchen egg sandwich and an everything bagel with cream cheese. The Hells Kitchen sandwich was a solid breakfast. I was looking for a small yet noticeably special addition to this sandwich to score a 5 star review but it was enough to definitely deserve 4 maybe 4.5 stars. It was lacking that little element which would of had me saying this is the best breakfast bagel I've ever had. Needless to say from the picture of the everything bagel with cream cheese you get your moneys worth on cream cheese lol.

I was recommended this place by a friend in the neighborhood. I went to the location in Astoria off Ditmars. I've been back a few times now. Most recently I got a sausage egg and cheese with a black coffee. It was TOOOOOO GOOD !!!! Brooklyn bagel instantly became one of my favorite bagel places. The bagel was fresh and full of flavor. The coffee was super rich and delicious. The staff is a huge part of the reason I love it. They are all so friendly and hilarious. It feels like such a warm and cozy place thanks to the staff. Can't wait to go back soon!! I recommend this place to everyone!

Best bagels in new york! and every time I fly back I always stop by to grab one. The variety of cream cheeses , fresh bagels that are just incredibly soft and light, and the great service! My go to is definitely a plain toasted bagel with the vegetable cream cheese or the pimento olive. It's perfect every time and the cream cheese is also very light . If you need a to start your morning off great , stop by here you won't regret it ! and grab a coffee with that bagel.

Amazing quality bagels whether you order delivery or eat there. Bagels are warm and fluffy. Service is quick and they have lots of variety. One of my fav bagel shops in nyc! Great spreads and don't sleep on the orange juice!!

Brooklyn Bagel is just your average bagel spot. I do come here often because it's convenient but nothing spectacular. I'm not a fan of their egg sandwiches because I feel that they're kinda bland. If you do get an egg sandwich just make sure you tell them to add salt and pepper. They have a variety of cream cheeses and bagels that are fun to try. Keep in mind it does get busy at certain times and they're not plenty of seating.

Fell off. The bagels aren't the same anymore which is sad because that's the only reason I was a return customer for a while. The service is mid, the overpriced food is also mid, and they always seem to be closing early.

Although a local bagel shop today was my 1st time trying. I ordered a Bacon egg and cheese on a toasted everything flagel . It was enough for two people and absolutely delicious!

Had breakfast here yesterday. Got the Cooper which consisted of Nova Smoked salmon, avocado, tomato, red onion, caper and lemon. I opted to have it on a toasted everything bagel. All of the flavors came together and melded beautifully with every bite. Skip the Iced Tea. I thought I'd be getting freshly brewed black tea. The option didn't describe that it'd be of the lemon ginger herbal variety. It wasn't totally bad but it wasn't the flavor I had a craving for. Knock a star for that. Knocked another star due to the fact they no longer make my favorite Tuscan artichoke cream cheese. That was a winner right there. BB should seriously consider bringing it back.

Sorry for putting in an order soon before closing, but thanks so much for delivering the goods! Everything I've ever had from Brooklyn Bagel is great, including the true-to-form NYC-quality bagels. But why have I never had the Hungry Beast wrap until now?? It finally fulfills a long-held yen for a breakfast burrito similar to my fave when living in southern California. I also appreciate the whole wheat wrap and bagel options, and the coffees are always on point. So glad to be spoiled with bagel deliciousness right here in Ditmars.

I was craving a lox bagel and was so excited to find a 'Brooklyn Bagel' even though I was in Queens. I used to live near a Brooklyn Bagel in Manhattan and had these bagels all the time during catered breakfasts. The bagels are your typical New York round with small holes. The bagels are freshly baked, chewy and soft on the inside. I used to really enjoy Everything bagels but now I like the classic plain and blueberry bagels. What I love most about Brooklyn Bagel is their assortment of cream cheeses. I believe they have almost 20 flavors from cannoli, smoked salmon, veggie, strawberry, and bacon scallion cream cheese. The cream cheeses could be purchased on the side or with a regular or mini sized bagel. If you order ahead on the Brooklyn Bagel website, you will get a 10% discount.

Hands down the best bagels in NY... fight me on that. I give them five stars despite getting my order wrong on several occasions. I don't care, you get what you get and you'll eat it, and enjoy it unless there's an allergy or dietary restriction, then I understand you being mad lol. Even their under-toasted and burnt bagels taste better than all other bagel shops around. They make the most perfectly toasted crispy on the outside, soft on the inside bagels. They skimp on nothing. The everything bagel has a ton of everything seasoning on it. Tons of sesame on the sesame bagel. Same goes for all the other flavors. And their biyalis! The best around. Crunchy, soft, with lots of onions. So damn good. I've shipped these to friends who've moved from queens to different parts of the country. Even a few days old these are better than any bagel across the country. A must try bagel. My fave, toasted everything bagel with scallion lox and jalepeno cream cheese, followed by sesame bagel with scallion lox wnd jalepeno. Even the French toast bagels with scallion lox cream cheese is delicious with the perfect combo of sweet and savory. Add Jalepeno cream cheese for a but of a kick. It's not spicy at all because they remove the seeds. It's just the flavor. SOOO GOOD!!!

From a guy born and raised in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn - I can definitely confirm this place has some of the best bagels around. Great service, good prices, and great portions. Highly recommend.

Best bagel & cream cheese I've had. I got the everything bagel with garlic & herb cream cheese. It was spectacular. Next time I'll get the bagel lightly toasted though. The cream cheese was divine, I need this bagel at all times.

I ordered a turkey and cheese sandwich; there was basically no turkey or cheese on my sandwich. Not sure why I just paid 10 dollars for a roll with mayonnaise

Amazing selection of bagels, tons of spreads options, long lines on the weekend, very attentive and hardworking staff. Look at the menu before ordering. Best bagel spot in new york and you're lucky if your able to find a table or get a seat, so be patient. These bagels are like the opioid epidemic. They truly have the best bagel spreads I've ever had in my life. The egg sandwiches are awesome. The only downside is the expediting of orders. The cashier area tends to get crazy during peak hours. This place gets a line out the door. Combination of cream cheese and bagels make this one of the best bagel places in New York. Always quality service even during busy lunch and breakfast hours and fairly fast service. Overall brooklyn bagels is the best place for bagels in new york. Theres nothing close when it comes to bagels and spreads.

So I just moved to Astoria and no lie, when I was apartment hunting I'd check the distance between the apartment prospects and one of the Brooklyn Bagel locations. IT'S THAT GOOD. This place knows bagels and they do them WELL. Cream cheeses? They've got plenty. And tofu options too. Prices, great. Service? On point. It's dangerous being a few blocks away, but I'm NOT complaining. Hellooooooooo favorite bagel place!

I want to love this place because it's so close to my house but the service and management here is just so subpar. I am constantly given someone else's order or my order plus someone else's or just my order completely wrong. The people who work there are not the nicest either. The lines are so disorganized which makes coming here hell on earth.

Go hungry!!! Great bagels! HUGE. Could easily feed two or more people. My BF referred to it as "the four pound bagel". He ain't wrong, lolol. Oh! And the coffee was delicious. The first sip had me stop dead in my tracks on the sidewalk and say "Wow!" into the cup. Fast, personable staff made for the perfect hit and run breakfast. Go get some!

I think I've now been to every Brooklyn Bagel location in Astoria! This one by far is the smallest but they are also just as delicious as the others. Tip: if you go in the afternoon, it's best so you can avoid the lines. There was one couple in front of me but the service still went pretty quickly. I ordered the Cooper without capers and a schmear of scallion cream cheese (I almost always have to have scallion). I am moving closer to the Ditmars section soon so def will be coming back to this one!

I finally decided to write this review after a recent trip to a different (mediocre) bagel spot reminded me again that Brooklyn Bagel produces the absolute best bagels in New York City. The bread is perfectly baked, the creamed cheese is perfectly flavored, the add-one are perfectly fresh and yes, the portions are perfectly HUGE. We've been to this spot dozens of times, and it's always a treat. (Our favorite cream cheese is JALAPEÑO. It is very spicy and delicious.) Note: The bagels are also great frozen, so be sure to order extra and save them for a rainy day.

Extreeeeemely overrated. It just lacks that local bagel spot flavor and taste. It has almost a fast food taste. And if you don't order like a robot, expect attitude from the staff. Try to show zero personality when you place your order and you should be fine.

Got a hudson on everything and lox with veggie cream cheese. Gotta say these bagels are LOADED. Make sure to come early on a Saturday. Lines start forming by 1030am. Accidentally ordered a hot coffee and the employee kindly gave us an empty cup of ice. Only down side was the trash on the seats and load of crumbs on the tables - guess it cant be helped during rush hour.

AMAZING NYC bagels! These bagels are huge, freshly baked, and hot out of the oven. They are slightly crispy on the outside, soft, chewy, and doughy on the inside. They are covered in tasty seeds and seasonings. These bagels are slightly larger than other places, making them much more filling and satisfying. They have vegan cream cheese options available. The vegetable tofu cream cheese spread went great on an everything bagel. I would recommend NOT ordering your bagel toasted here, as the consistency of the bagel fresh out of the oven is truly divine. Toasting the bagel will ruin this wonderful consistency. This place is a must-try NYC bagel place if you are in the area. It is an excellent option for vegans seeking breakfast. It's a great place to have around Astoria!

This delicious and savory breakfast was the perfect start to my Saturday! The portions are massive and it's totally at the right price point. It was a quick, efficient, and enjoyable meal! 10/10.

After a quick bite at Hinomaru, I was still hungry lol. I see that there was a bagel spot across the street and I figured I could go for a nice toasted cinnamon raisin bagel with a hearty spread of lox cream cheese. I am a total sucker for a toasted cinnamon raisin bagel w/cream cheese so I might a bit biased but this was some damn good bagel they got here! The nice fluff it had within the bagel was on point and the Los spread was absolutely delicious! I would 100% recommend this bagel set up to everyone, you won't regret it. Aside from the food, I love how the staff is extremely fast paced and worked very professionally. Would I recommend this bagel shop? Fuck yes I do!

Very disappointed with online service, I placed an order that was supposed to be ready at 8:08AM and I didn't receive it until 15 minutes later then I get home and I realized that they got my order wrong. My receipt clearly says everything bagel toasted but I got plain bagel well toasted, that was as hard as a rock! Update: They called soon after I posted this review and apologized for getting it wrong. They also gave me a full refund on my order, which I thought was very professional. Thank you for responding so quickly.

Each time I go to New York I make at least one stop here. Always grab at least two dozen to bring home. Everyone that I've ever encountered here has been nothing short of amazing. Even during the morning rush, their employees stay top notch and show the best disposition. Their bagels are always fresh and the taste is unbeatable. Toasted plain with chive cream cheese is my first pick, but they have so many other options that are just as good. This will always be my favorite bagel shop in NYC, and it will always be one of my last stops before hitting the road and heading home!

Super crowded on a Sunday morning...no surprise there. Didn't have a table at time of arrival. Line was semi long and very disorganized. There seemed to be two separate lines, but we didn't know which was for what. Ordered lox and plain cream cheese on toasted everything bagel. Got to the cashier and ordered my drinks. Had to repeat myself several times. While waiting for drinks, didn't know exactly where I was supposed to wait cuz there's no space. The other cashier was rude af. "Miss, miss, miss!!!" to get my attention. When I looked at him "did you order?" "Yes." "Did you pay?" "Yes." then he semi rolled his eyes. Like dude, did I ask you for anything as you see me picking up my drink jackass. Bagel and coffee was alright. Not worth the rudeness. They need to get organized.

Ok bagels here a great when they get my order right. I leave here most times with wrong order or a bagel that was supposedly hot so I don't request it toasted only to find out it's not hot or even warm and I'm often left disappointed and wondering why I even got up early on my day off for a cold hard bagel. The bagel is good but some advice. If a costumer asks if any of them are hot don't lie.
