COZY! We love coming to Brother Juniper’s although we don’t come often. I love the atmosphere and the layout of the restaurant. The ceilings are low and the tables are close together giving a more intimate feeling. I had two biscuit sandwiches and both were excellent. I had the sausage and egg biscuit and the egg and cheese biscuit. My daughter had the pancake with eggs, bacon, and breakfast potatoes. She said her meal was great as well. The service was fast and friendly. We look forward to returning.

Google
Perfect pit stop en route to the Memphis airport. It was bustling on a Saturday morning but the staff was hustling and the restaurant uses a convenient text alert and wait list. The 20-minute wait was less than 10 minutes, and we enjoyed delicious biscuits and standout cheesy grits. Drop coffee is a bit forgettable — treat yourself to something from the barista instead. Convenient parking lot behind the building.

First time visiting and it was nice. The atmosphere is really nice. Our server, Peter was really nice too! The food was good. The Service was good. I will definitely revisit. The Juniper latte was absolutely delicious. I loved it!

Google
Really good breakfast spot. Well worth the drive. I added Jalapeños and salsa to the Denver Ommellette and it was perfect. My partner got the basic bacon and eggs and was very happy with that. Great service by Brooke. I will be coming here again.

Growing up in Memphis this place was always a local staple. I got the opportunity to take my kids there during a visit to town and I was glad to find that everything was still delicious! Service was great and the unique atmosphere was unchanged. Had the Juniper Benedict and Kate’s Potatoes. 🔥

I don't know why it to us so long to try Brother Jupiter's but what a mistake is was waiting. We got there and we were #15 on the wait list bit in no time we were seated. Our waiter was right there to take our drink order and then our food order. My wife got the French toast meal, my son got the fireman omelet and I got the waffle meal. My wife's French toast was very tasty, the egg was cooked to perfection, the bacon was really good and the potatoes were awesome. My son loved his fireman omelet and his cheesy grits were excellent. My waffle was amazing, my egg was also cooked to perfection and my plain grits were plan grits. I also ordered a biscuit and side gravy that was ok but probably won't order them again. We really enjoyed our meal.

Our go to spot for breakfast! Owners and staff are amazing. Food is incredible with lots of veggie options. Brother Junipers supports our community through charitable giving as well. Out of towners love it and it’s our first stop when they land in Memphis! Love y’all thanks for doing what you do.

This was my first time eating here. I will go there again!!! Good food....good service.....good atmosphere.....the customers at the next table over were talking to our table also. Everyone in the building was very friendly......good food does that!!!

Yelp
Before hitting the road and heading out of Memphis for a day trip, we made our way to Brother Juniper's for breakfast. Located near the University of Memphis, this is definitely a staple breakfast spot. To start, I ordered the juniper latte with oat milk. It was subtly sweet and the perfect amount of caffeine. For my order, I ordered the Florentine, which was an open faced omelette with a side of cheese grits. The omelette was fresh and flavorful and absolutely filling! The cheese grits were creamy and decadent. And the biscuit was buttery, flaky perfection. Both my father and my husband enjoyed their respective dishes - biscuits and gravy and a spicy open faced omelette whose name I now forget.

Yelp
We came here before heading home from Memphis on a family friend's recommendation. This place must be near or in the college area as there is a college bookstore beside it. There isn't a lot of parking but there is a parking lot across the street we utilized since the businesses were not open. We had a 45 minute wait, but the restaurant has a waiting list you can view on your phone so you can see when you are close. We waited in the car until we were 3rd on the list. We were seated on the enclosed porch - which worked out well because inside was packed. Good sign right? We had coffee and: Open face omelettes for my son's, the San Diegan and Florentine - the sons gave them both a thumbs up. 4* The Gravy Benedict, very hardy breakfast; the Hollandaise plus gravy, yeah ... Very rich! I also went with the loaded cheese grits, to put everything over the top!4* We also shared the cinnamon roll pancakes - these were perfect, so delicious and wonderful with coffee - another reason I couldn't finish my main! Portions were plentiful and flavors were poppin'. Overall 4.5* I would definitely come back (This place was crazy packed, so plan accordingly)

Yelp
Brother Juniper's is good for breakfast, offering what is now the commonplace mix of healthy (avocado toast) with the less-so. Just on the basis of visiting Memphis for a couple of days, their "best breakfast" slogan seems accurate--to the extent that we ate there two days in a row. Biscuits were amazingly moist and flaky, the best I've had in a while. Just these are worth the stop. There are variety of egg/potato dishes available. I tried the San Diegan all out "open face omelet", but found that there were too many competing elements in the dish. Next time I would opt for one of the simpler potato dishes. Note for those with an aversion or allergy to egg: BJ's offers a range of potato-based dishes with nary a fleck of egg involved. Second time around I went for the Mushroom Portobello Mellow. This was a perfect creation with the exactly right ratio of egg to stuffs, the egg perfectly cooked in omelet fashion, and sides of potato and that aforementioned biscuit holding up their side of the plate. Coffee was hot and relatively strong (relative to the standards of my hometown down at the end of I-55). Service was prompt and friendly, with coffee and water refills coming around regularly.

Yelp
Clean restaurant, friendly staff, great Denver omelette. This was my first time here and it will not be my last. Lane was a great waiting. I sat at the bar since it was just me

Dawn W.

Yelp
Food tasted like mom was cooking in the back. Super homey space and great service from everyone there. Definitely going back. 9/10

Yelp
Come here for the cinnamon roll pancakes!! Better than any actual cinnamon rolls I've had. Everything else was fine but not stellar. The sausage patties were a little overcooked, and my husband was disappointed that the Monte Cristo sandwich was served on plain sandwich bread rather than a sweet, beignet-type bread (again, we have been ruined by Disneyland). I also ordered an orange juice that never came - we ended up canceling our order once we realized it wasn't coming and we were halfway through our meal. The waiter was super apologetic.

Breanna T.

Yelp
Wowwwww I can't believe I haven't been here sooner. I literally use to live in the area and never heard about this place. But better late then never right. From the reviews people said it is alwayssssss packed and I can agree it was haha but luckily I was by myself and got seated quickly. The place has a lot of charm and the house is so cute. Def full of college kids and families but that's okay. I decided to start with the Juniper Latte which was really tasty. I wish I would've told them almond milk but still good. The whipped cream was so good. The food I must say they did they big one. I got the potato's with chorizo sausage and it was soo good and cheesy. I added sausage gravy with my biscuit and that def hit the spot. Everything was so hot and fresh and everyone was very friendly! I think this is a place where literally everything is good. I will be back to try more items.

Yelp
This is a great spot that stays busy, but showing up early enough guarantees quicker seating. This alone is a testament to their outstanding food. I loved their Greek omelet with gyro meat and feta cheese. I'm a sucker for sharp cheese. I picked it out with home fries and a biscuit. The biscuit was delicious, but the home fries could've been warmer! Overall, the Greek omelet is rich in flavor and it pairs well with a buttered biscuit. Make sure you get a cup of coffee!

Yelp
I recently visited Juniper's Brother with a friend who was visiting me in Memphis. This restaurant had been highly recommended and was buzzing with activity when we arrived. Despite the crowd, we were seated fairly quickly, although we did have to wait for about five or 10 minutes. However, I must admit that the service was a bit lacking. The waiter took quite some time to attend to us, which is something I value highly in a dining experience. Once we were able to place our order, both my friend and I decided to try the pancake special, which included one pancake, one egg, and pure maple syrup. We also ordered a side of potatoes, bacon, and grits. The food was good, but it didn't quite exceed my expectations. It satisfied my hunger, but it didn't leave a lasting impression. However, what truly stood out during our visit was the Juniper Latte Espresso, which was recommended by our server. This delightful concoction consisted of caramel, steamed milk, whipped cream, and a chocolate drizzle. It was absolutely amazing, and I couldn't resist having two cups of it. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was a true highlight of the meal. As we were leaving Juniper's Brother, a young lady who was about to enter the restaurant with her boyfriend asked us how we liked it. I must admit, I found it difficult to accurately summarize my experience. While the food was decent, it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. However, the Juniper Latte Espresso was a real standout. So, if I had to sum it up, I would say that my overall experience at Juniper's Brother was just okay.

Yelp
Such a cute breakfast nook in Memphis! I was told this is a go to for a lot of my Memphis friends and this place did not disappoint! From the hostess to server, everything was great! The menu was very extensive, but be prepared this is a bit pricey for breakfast food. I got a Juniper Latte to start off with. Christmas vibes were coming and they put it in this cute mug. I ordered the Hungry Tiger and all the flavors were delicious. I wish there were more potatoes though.

Kevin W.

Yelp
I love coming to this place. I just found out that they have a virtual waitlist. Add yourself to the list before you even drive up to the location. Warning, parking is limited so you may have to park across the street. The wait times can be crazy during the weekends and early morning weekdays. Came here early Friday so the place was not busy. I ordered the Lamb and Garden Omelet. It was loaded with gyro, spinach, and feta. I also got the loaded grits (chives, cheese grits, sour cream, and bacon). I had biscuit. Be sure to ask for the apple butter. Everything tasted great.

Christopher C.

Yelp
Brother junipers is the best breakfast joint in Memphis. Food is always hot and delicious. Their selection is outstanding. I've been going here for probably 20+ years.

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Delightful spot. Great food Convenient location. I've always had great service. Quaint and homey ambiance.

Gayle O.

Yelp
Consistently tasty, high quality, made-from-scratch breakfast or brunch here. Highly recommend the Greek omelet, biscuits, and their coffee.

Beth S.

Yelp
Excellent breakfast joint. Eclectic. Kinda small and crowded and it can be loud. But it's worth it. I love their open face omelets. (And I don't even like omelets). I've had several different ones. Today I went with the Pacific Northwest open face omelet. Coffee is often served in mismatched coffee mugs which I find super endearing and fun. Highly recommend this unique and delicious restaurant. The service is always pleasant and friendly. They have pancakes and waffles to please the kiddos. Check it out!

Babs D.

Yelp
We just got off the plane and couldn't check in to our Airbnb. This was the Best choice. Service fast and the food. Good cheese grits biscuits and the pancakes were outrageously huge!!! Never had an open face omelette but I would get another!!!

Michael Y.

Yelp
Top notch. This place does not miss. The coffee is hot, fresh and never bitter. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is top tier breakfast fare. If you come on the weekend, prepare to stand outside for awhile. Try to get it on a weekday so you can sit and enjoy it.

Ed S.

Yelp
This is without a doubt the best breakfast food I've ever had. I had the San Deigan with loaded cheese grits and a biscuit with gravy. Absolutely delicious. The only thing I'd have enjoyed more is a softer biscuit. Their's are kinda crunchy which seems to be a trend. I've had a couple that way recently. The guy with me had the pancake special with country ham. The pancake was massive. Came on its own platter which was larger than the other one. He took some of the ham home for his wife but the rest had magically disappeared. I'll be going back when I'm in the area.

Catrina T.

Yelp
ALWAYS a fabulous experience. Had a great breakfast and awesome coffee. They have consistently good food and consistently good service!! I highly recommend. Pro tip, use the Yelp waitlist feature! It is so convenient. This place stays packed (and rightfully so)!!!

Destiny C.

Yelp
Some really great breakfast! Was very busy! Was worth every second and more. I would eat there Everytime I was in town.

Tif G.

Yelp
It's good. This was our second time, but it's been about 10 years. Despite lots of amazing reviews, it clearly didn't leave an impression as we didn't realize we'd been here before driving up to the place. It's breakfast food. Nothing special.

Brieanna W.

Yelp
Got the 2 piece French toast with a side of home fries, bacon, and an egg! Home fries were amazing along with the coffee and bacon. Wasn't too fond of the French toast; however, it did come with a cute personalized maple syrup container. Came in around 8:30 on a Wednesday morning, and it was very quiet! Started really picking up around 9am. Bought a cute souvenir mug, but for $25 dollars....... Overall service was great, just really lacks the ambiance.

Robbin D.

Yelp
This place is divine! Everything was fresh and hot. Service is great. Prices are reasonable considering how much you get. It reminds me of my grandma's house when I was a kid in the 90s, eating breakfast at her dining table. Just love this place!

Memphis F.

Yelp
This is another hidden gem in Memphis. Locally run, well-managed, just off the University of Memphis campus (next to the Tiger bookstore). There is often a wait for seating, but so worth it. Today's feast included the open-faced Florentine omelet (homemade pesto, fresh shredded mozzarella, spinach, tomatoes), cheese grits and one of the City's best Southern biscuits. Service was prompt and friendly. Will be back!

Kandis B.

Yelp
Been here many too nes before and it's always a hit. Expect a wait.service was excellent. Staff were kind, quick and friendly.food was amazing as this is one of our favorite brunch spot. Don't forget to get your home fries... they are simply amazing and sometimes I just want them. Wonderful spot that is apart of the local DNA of memphis.

Harvey G.

Yelp
Seated right away. Alone, so sat at the counter. Good coffee, pancake special, bacon was cooked perfectly. Service was quick. $21.00 before tip. Will be back again!

Tammy H.

Yelp
I come here for an excellent breakfast at anytime!!! I love their food almost as much as their message. When you go, you can read their mission statement. This touches my heart. The portions fill my belly. Now, have fallen in love with two dishes, the Greek Omelet & the Lamb & Garden Omelet. Have no clue where they get their lamb from & if I did, would probably go to also support them. These omelets are nothing to scoff at. They are so large, easily two meals for me. Yes, they warm up well. The cheese grits served with it are just an extra delight. Their hot sauce that is located on every table has a great flavor. I also love the fact they only have sourdough bread. Oh so yummy!!!! The coffee is always fresh & everything is served with a smile. The service there is just a delight. So many reasons to go here. I will give a warning. If you are going on the weekend, get there EARLY. Otherwise, don't' go hungry because you are going to have a wait. Yes, the wait is worth it, but still. I generally go for lunch during the week. No matter how packed it is, you get the same friendly service as you would if you were the only ones there. Come hungry & enjoy!!!

Dianna S.

Yelp
Consistently great food and coffee. This breakfast place is one of my favorite places to dine. I met some friends for breakfast. I ordered a Florentine opened face omelette made with a bed of pesto, topped w/ sautéed spinach, tomatoes & green onions, w/ turkey sausage & mozzarella cheese. Very good and flavorful. Came with cheese grits and a buttermilk biscuit. Love their biscuits! The coffee is very strong and flavorful. Always quite tasty! I had three cups. Can't wait to come back to eat more delicious food at Bro Junipers!

Clarisa B.

Yelp
Everything from the food to the service was A+. The cinnamon roll pancakes are absolutely bomb and their open face omelets are always hearty and filling. Great, casual, comfortable atmosphere with terrific food.

Brittany S.

Yelp
Best breakfast in Memphis! Really busy because of it try to arrive early. Always kind service.

John S.

Yelp
This was my first Brother Juniper's in far too long. When I was a student at the University of Memphis, this place was of course in the breakfast/brunch rotation. Since moving away, it's been one of the Memphis restaurants I miss the most. As a very indecisive foodie, I was just as overwhelmed by all the delicious items on the menu as I remember being 10+ years ago (or however long it's been). After scouring over the menu, I settled on the Desperado open-faced omelet. The bed of three fluffy eggs was paired with a tasty avocado spread which added a creamy texture to each bite. The mountain of toppings included Tangy sautéed tomatoes, green onions, black beans, salsa, mozzarella cheese and sour cream. I added a little habanero hot sauce which elevated the dish to a spicier level (I like the heat). Each bite was packed with flavors that all played well together. I'm so glad I chose this one, although I know there are many other tasty items I'd try next time I go back. The cheese grits were just as delicious as I remember. The garlicky and cheesy notes make all other sides of grits seem inferior. The large, fluffy biscuit added a nice supplement of carbs. I highly recommend using Yelp's waitlist ahead of time to reduce your wait once. We had a relatively large party and only had to wait 15 minutes once we checked in. The service was great and the ambiance inside was just as cozy as I remember. I can't wait to go back -- hopefully soon.

Alexandra O.

Yelp
Yummy breakfast spot that is "no fuss." This place is like a humble diner but with a fun menu that boasts creative takes on classics. What we ordered that I recommend: Smoked Salmon Benedict, Kate's Fancy Fries, Bacon What we ordered that I don't recommend: Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (too sour), Juniper Latte (too too too sweet, no coffee flavor). The service was great. We had an attentive server who was super friendly. I don't know if we'll be back next time we're in town. But I wouldn't be mad if we were!

Caleb J.

Yelp
Tad pricy, but well worth it. Cinnamon roll pancakes were the star, bacon, eggs, salmon were all delicious as well. Service was excellent too. Definitely a must try in Memphis.

Marquita a.

Yelp
Friendly staff, great service, attentive, but not over bearing, cute little mom and pop, brunch spot. My son and I enjoyed orange juice and a side of biscuits and gravy. He ordered the chorizo burrito and I had the desperado. Everything was out in a timely manner, and it was hot. Just how I like it!! My son said the chorizo burrito was really good. The desperado was good too. Could've used a little more salt but that's personal preference. I'd go back when visiting Memphis to try something else on the menu.

HsiaoCheng W.

Yelp
Really enjoyed breakfast. Nice stop for those of you flying in at the airport. Parking in back is limited but we got a space. Nice porch area and green space out front. The servers were so nice. Food was fantastic. We got the juniper Benedict and gravy Benedict (both with cheese grits), and the loaded biscuits and chorizo sausage with wheat bread. They got their own hot pepper sauces and black pepper. Nice decor. My only gripe is that we were seated next to the swinging kitchen door when there seemed to be plenty of other seating in the restaurant. I didn't say anything but it actually was distracting and also you could feel the temperature difference when it swung open too. So I swapped seats and had my kid sit next to the door instead of me. Heh heh. Coffee comes in mugs with different shapes and logos.

Chris F.

Yelp
One of the best breakfasts we've ever had. Can't recommend enough. The omelet, potatoes, and pancake were absolutely incredible.

Jason G.

Yelp
$50 for breakfast? WORTH EVERY PENNY! We had the Monte Cristo with a side of cheese grits and Mellow Portabello omelette. Quality ingredients that were expertly prepared - living in Texas, for some reason, grits are hit or miss because they are either over or undercooked. They were PERFECT here. I guess that makes sense with a Memphis restaurant. The latte was good although the chai latte was a little too cinnamony but still overall the food and care and service were 5 star. Also - very generous portion sizes. Come hungry! This place must be insane on the weekends!

Kendall K.

Yelp
Food is fantastic! Wait staff is friendly. Coffee is superb! Seriously, some of the best in the city. Get the loaded cheese grits!

Steven S.

Yelp
If you want the best breakfast in town, go here. Make the trip, it is so worth it. Yes, there is sometimes a wait, but again, it is worth it. Portions are plenty and the food is always excellent.

Lydia M.

Yelp
Delicious place for breakfast! My husband and I both got open face omelets, that came with cheesy grits and a biscuit. I had the Pacific Northwest and it was so good...I would definitely get it again. Our almost two year old had a pancake and the cook came and talked to us and even brought him some blueberries! We were worried about a wait based on other reviews, but didn't have to wait at all! We arrived around 8:15 on a Wednesday.

Nicole S.

Yelp
Definitely the best breakfast in Memphis. Home fries are TOP NOTCH. Service is down-home feeling and it's your typical breakfast house ambiance. There will likely be a wait, but use their waitlist option on their website so you're not waiting as long once you arrive!

Tricia L.

Yelp
If you are tired of the status quo, and want well made food this is your spot. The customer service is always great. We order to go, and do not have to worry about our order being wrong. You get a lot of food for the prices. My favorite is the Potato with Gyro meat. I always order my egg over easy and add an extra. Nirvana. They are always busy, but always professional. I only wish they were open longer and on Mondays, but I'll take what I can.

Melissa M.

Yelp
You definitely need to hit this place up when you are in the area! I had an omelette with chorizo, cheese, black beans, salsa and sour cream and it was delicious and that biscuit omg was amazing! My youngest got the kids plate and it came with a frisbee size pancake and there syrup was insanely good and came in these little mason jars. My eldest had there cinnamon roll pancakes those were the best.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
Brother Juniper's was nothing short of an amazing breakfast! The full espresso bar was so cool, and the drinks were really yummy! I got the Juniper Latte with almond milk. The raspberry mocha was delicious too! The menu had a great selection of options. Our food came out so fast it surprised me, and our server was helpful and friendly. I'd never had grits before and she recommended their cheese grits, which were amazing! I highly recommend the cinnamon roll pancake. It was SO GOOD. Definitely check out this restaurant - you won't regret it!

Forest S.

Yelp
I've literally been coming here since 2013. Consistent service, consistent quality, great food, great people. It's a quaint place with an intimate atmosphere for two or a family. There's really nothing more to say. You have to try it for yourself!

Keith W.

Yelp
Great breakfast, great selection on the menu to choose from, all breakfast items that we ordered was freshly prepared, the omelettes was oversized but made perfectly. The cheese grits was delicious. Give's brother junipers a try

Stephanie O.

Yelp
Pancakes were sublime!! And, if you can believe it, the service was event better!! I would return again and again!

Ty C.

Yelp
Our favorite of the breakfast/brunch places we tried in Memphis. Three of the four of us ordered the San Diegan omelet with cheese grits and biscuit while my 17yr old son ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes. Everything was amazing. My 21yr old daughter even commented about the quality of the ingredients that are used on the open face omelet. Everything was amazing. I also loved being able to make a reservation from the hotel using the Yelp app so that we didn't have to wait so long once we arrived. We would recommend and we would return.

Lisa P.

Yelp
My favorite place in Memphis! This is the place I will make the drive for to introduce friends who have not tried it or those who have never been to Memphis. It has a warm inviting feel to it even though not fancy. They have a large selection of delicious omelets and scrambled egg breakfasts. They have pancakes and waffles but the thing I love the most is the cheese grits. They are so good. They have something for every taste even Vegan. The service is top notch It's a little pricey but the food is quality and well worth it. I can't wait to make my way there again.
