I recently visited Juniper's Brother with a friend who was visiting me in Memphis. This restaurant had been highly recommended and was buzzing with activity when we arrived. Despite the crowd, we were seated fairly quickly, although we did have to wait for about five or 10 minutes. However, I must admit that the service was a bit lacking. The waiter took quite some time to attend to us, which is something I value highly in a dining experience.
Once we were able to place our order, both my friend and I decided to try the pancake special, which included one pancake, one egg, and pure maple syrup. We also ordered a side of potatoes, bacon, and grits. The food was good, but it didn't quite exceed my expectations. It satisfied my hunger, but it didn't leave a lasting impression.
However, what truly stood out during our visit was the Juniper Latte Espresso, which was recommended by our server. This delightful concoction consisted of caramel, steamed milk, whipped cream, and a chocolate drizzle. It was absolutely amazing, and I couldn't resist having two cups of it. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and it was a true highlight of the meal.
As we were leaving Juniper's Brother, a young lady who was about to enter the restaurant with her boyfriend asked us how we liked it. I must admit, I found it difficult to accurately summarize my experience. While the food was decent, it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. However, the Juniper Latte Espresso was a real standout. So, if I had to sum it up, I would say that my overall experience at Juniper's Brother was just okay.
