The 10 Best Burritos In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Founded by a pair of brothers (not cousins), this West LA taco stand has mastered the art of wrapping obscene amounts of meat into their newborn-sized burritos. The process starts with a tortilla as big as a vinyl record that’s layered with cheese and heaped with meat—get al pastor with sweet pineapple slices, or any of the braised meats like suadero or cabeza—plus beans and rice. You’re then handed the unwrapped burrito to load up with as much salsa, onions, and cilantro as you’d like. And no matter how crazy we’ve gotten with the toppings, they always manage to neatly seal it shut." - sylvio martins, cathy park, garrett snyder

The 18 Best Mexican Restaurants On The Westside - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Meet the late-night taco kingpin of the Westside. Conveniently located just off the 405, you can peel off the freeway for an impromptu taco at Brothers Cousins anytime between 6pm and 11pm, Tuesday through Thursday (and midnight on Friday and Saturday)—just expect lines to start forming as soon as they open. The main attraction at this roadside spot is its wide, bubbling pan of tender meats that have been braised into absolute submission. Choose your cut of choice—asada, carnitas, chorizo, lengua, suadero, among others—and the taquero chops it to order, scooping it into a supple corn tortilla in one swift motion. Pro tip: If the line is down the block, Brothers Cousins has an “annex” location two blocks west with smaller crowds." - sylvio martins, jess basser sanders, brant cox, arden shore

The 25 Best Tacos In Los Angeles - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Conveniently located at the corner of National and Sawtelle just off the 405, Brothers Cousins is the late-night taco kingpin of the Westside. Lines begin to form around 6pm for the main attraction: a wide, bubbling pan of meats that have been braised into submission. Choose your cut of choice—asada, carnitas, chorizo, lengua, suadero, among others—and the taquero plucks the meat from the pan and chops it to order, scooping it into a warm tortilla in one swift motion. They’ll usually have some soft, fat-cooked potatoes and carmelized onions to help yourself to as well, and the salsa station is always well-stocked and pristine" - sylvio martins, garrett snyder, brant cox

Google
Probably one of the best taco places in LA. We think about wanting to go every once in a while. $2/taco.

Wow… just wow…. Never thought a food stand on the side of the road could make me feel this type of way. I discovered this place on TikTok while scrolling on the toilet. Immediately I knew I needed to try this. I approached the stand only to find a group of long lost family members smiling and making me feel welcome. For the first time I was a true “Hermano.” You could instantly tell these people were masters of their crafts. The only thing finer than their slices were the prices. I’m debating making this a daily routine to visit my newfound brothers and cousins. The service was impeccable and the food was making me salivate like a rabid dog. I ordered a top 2 burrito I’ve ever had in my life (and it isn’t 2). The smell and the taste is to die for. I will warn that they are closed on Mondays unfortunately.

Google
One of the best burritos in LA so def come here to try some. They give great portions of meat and their pastor marinade is incredible. I went to the one at Sawtelle but there are two locations

flat rate

Google
Everything about this tacos is amazing. Whoever didn’t try it. You have to run and you’re gonna need to stay in line. The people are amazing. The food is amazing. Only good things. I’m going there at least three times a week and it’s not expensive. Where are you? Gonna find a burrito for $10.

There are plenty of amazing taco stands in LA. This is as good as it gets.

Friendly staff and delicious taco nearby! The price is very affordable. If you are okay with street food, standing eating, very recommend!

Google
I feel extremely fortunate to be living in the street taco era here in west L.A. I myself am an Al Pastor lover & I actively seek for new places that offer it. I actually judge street taco vendors by the quality of their a Al Pastor & if they rotate it on a pike. I feel like there are so many options out there & I have yet to try them all, but I can honestly say this place is in the top 5 for me all time. I've had Al Pastor in San Diego, east L.A., etc. For me, I prefer a taco vendor that doesn't cook all the meat in one grease pot. I know a lot of people like this, but I do not like when my meat is mixed with all other types of meat, including intestine, tongue, etc.. I like that they separate the meat, and I like it when the Carne Asada has a smoky barbecue kind of taste to it. This place offers my exact preferences and is a diamond in the rough. For all you taco connoisseurs I strongly recommend that you give this place a try. This place is getting more popular now, my days of eating here without a line are soon to be gone. Enjoy friends.

Google
Great tacos- super tasty, good price, has every side/ addition you could want. there’s even music playing. Has an organized ordering line and the chefs and staff were very friendly and attentive. So happy I ran into this walking to Vons. Has a few stools to sit on if you want to eat there. A table or two would be nice since gets pretty crowded but eating on the parking barrier on the side of the road w everyone still a vibe you know

Yelp
I've been coming to Brothers Cousins Tacos since 2019 and their tacos and burritos have tasted the same every single time. Talk about consistent. Don't be afraid by the long line when you get here. It moves pretty fast and I would say on average I wait about 20 minutes to get to the front of the line. It's also so worth the wait. I've tried almost all the meats in taco form. I would say my favorites are the Al pastor with pineapple, Cabeza, and Lengua. The Al pastor is always well marinated and has a nice roasted and crisp to it. This meat alone makes me want to come back time and time again. The Cabeza and Lengua are beyond tender. They also don't have a game-y flavor. I would say definitely my favorite street taco place in so cal. Oh and they're also only $2 each like what????? So cheap and packed with meat. They use 2 tortillas per taco. Their burritos are $12 and is a great value. But I will say they're so huge that I can't take it down in 1 sitting. They put rice and beans then before they roll it give it to you so you can load it up with whichever toppings and salsas you want. I would say you could get the cheese in the burrito if you're feeling in the mood but I personally prefer it without the cheese. The nights we've gone they have Horchata and Jamaica. The Horchata was on the sweet end and had a grainy texture, it's not our personal fave but the Jamaica is great. Balanced between the tart and the sweet. Parking is very easy since they're in a rite aid parking lot. They are Cash only!! Overall Brothers Cousins is so good and you should definitely come check it out.

Yelp
Food 3.5/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 3/5 It's a bummer this place is cash only. I'm may be biased because we have had our share of phenomenal tacos via taco trucks, street tacos, and Mexican restaurants. The price is unbeatable at Brother's Cousins, but I was quite disappointed when the cabeza taco was a big blob of fat, with no meat. We tried one of each taco - all the beef/pork options. All the meats were extremely diced and minced so much so that they seemed fried, which seems carcinogenic. Some meats like the al pastor or lengua, I like to actually chew the meat. The amount of sauces and condiments were amazing though. Not sure if it's the best taco spot in LA but I wouldn't mind giving it another shot!

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place! Stopped by Saturday night, and there was a decent sized line. We waited about 10-15 minutes. I ordered a Regular Pastor Burrito + Cheese and a Mexican Coke. They filled the burrito with the cheese and meat. Then, they had a spread of toppings to add to your personal liking and gave us a plate to add veggies on the side. I wish they let us add the veggies directly in our burrito instead of the side. We decided to sit in the parking on the stools. It was a bit messy to eat, but the burritos were good. It didn't necessarily "wow" us but it was certainly worth the price. $10 for a huge portion size that lasted me two meals. I'm glad I got a Coke to pair with the food. Overall, I had a solid experience and would recommend everyone trying at least once. A bit overrated in my opinion but great budget friendly meal. Cash only! Parking: Free parking lot!!
google avatar

Ashley P.

Yelp
Got the al pastor burrito with no beans - huge portion for a great price. Definitely recommend adding onions and a potato if you get a burrito. The only downside is that it's a huge mess to eat because the tortilla is pretty flimsy, but I'm impressed with how good it is even if you get takeout/don't eat it fresh. Don't forget to bring cash!!!
google avatar

Gloria L.

Yelp
Lines here move fast and is definitely worth a visit although nothing really wowed me. Their meats were all super tender and I enjoyed their al pastor and Lengua tacos. Tacos are $2 each and burritos are about $10. They also have additional sides like potatoes and onions as well which is nice. They are cash only so make sure to bring cash here. I would come back for a late night snack if I'm in the area again with friends.
google avatar

Amy T.

Yelp
WOW. These tacos were soooo good AND for the price of $2 each that's a steal now a days. They even have burritos for $9 (which we didn't get but hopefully next time)! There was a small line when my husband and I arrived but the service the staff provided was efficient and the line moved quick! It might have been our drunchies speaking that night (maybe partially) but every bite I took was so flavorful. Top taco meat I would have to say is the Al Pastor. They add a generous piece of pineapple on top which adds a nice subtle sweet taste to the taco. Definitely a must! Whenever I am back in the area I am for sure coming back!

Yelp
I LOVE Brothers Cousins! I've been coming here for a few years now, and I am never disappointed. I crave it whenever I'm in the area, and the rush I get from their food is better than anything - even better than the rush you feel when a dog or cat decide you're their favorite person, or when you find a $20 bill on the ground, or when you wake up fully rested at the right time without needing an alarm. They are located by a RiteAid, so there is ample parking space. They only take cash, so be prepared (there is also an ATM in the RiteAid just in case). Their food is very affordable (ie $2/taco), they have all the self-served toppings/salsas you need, and you can get as much stewed potatoes, peppers, cactus, etc. as you want. I've noticed that Brothers Cousins has gotten more popular, so there is a much longer line now than a few years ago. When you get to the point where you're ordering, the staff is friendly and lively. Oftentimes there is music playing, but there is no greater symphony than the taste of their delicious al pastor and pineapple chunks in a taco with your favorite fixings.
google avatar

David Y.

Yelp
There's a reason that, in a neighborhood with what seems like multiple taco stands on every block, Brothers Cousins is often the only one with a line. And a long one, too. I ordered six tacos, two each carne asada, Al pastor, and suadero. Tacos are $2, 50 cents more if you want cheese. Then, you pay (cash only!) and grab self-serve toppings. They have all the classics - lime, radish, a few different salsas. My only complaint is that the limes are a little dry, probably because they are sitting out there all night. There are some stools nearby where you can eat, but most people eat off the hood of their car or just take it to go. However you plan to enjoy them, these tacos are well worth the trip.
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
A little overhyped imo. Don't get me wrong, the tacos are decent. Flavor is good and they are generous with fillings. They said, I'm not a big fan of the tortilla here. It's a little thick and dry and too much corn. Lines are long and there's usually quite a bit of a wait. Plenty of other good options around so probably won't be back again.
google avatar

Randy O.

Yelp
There are several taco pop-ups at the corner of National and Sawtell, but you can't miss Brothers Cousins. Just look for the crowd! Huge variety of tacos, plus tortas and burritos. The tacos are all solid, but there are better tacos elsewhere if you take them individually. (For example, if I want just buche, I'm headed to Morealanos at Grand Central.) But if I want variety and the enjoyment of eating off the hood of the Subie, surrounded by a bunch of other taco fiends, I'm making the 70-mile drive to Brothers Cousins. (We also visit our daughter while we're here, but on the down low we're really there for the tacos.) Super-friendly staff who are pros at the taco game.

Yelp
New to the area and was craving a late night snack. Saw this tent on the side of the road with a massive line and was intrigued so I planned to stop by the following night. Service was awesome. The workers are polite and quick, very helpful and made the experience pleasant. Food was made fresh right in front of you as you wait in line. The anticipation was definitely making my stomach rumble. Tried the Al Pastor burrito with cheese. You can get it with pineapple, and I recommend doing it this way. A generous helping! I couldn't finish it in one night. I also recommend their cilantro salsa. Very refreshing and light. Planning to make another visit to try the tacos soon.

Yelp
Brothers Cousins always hits the spot! My go to order is the Al Pastor burrito with rice, beans, and cheese ($11). The Al Pastor meat has a nice char and lots of flavor. I like adding pineapple and the onions/bell peppers too. Just fyi, Brothers Cousins has a new second location just south of the S Sepulveda and National Blvd intersection. I went to their new location the past few times and the line has been much smaller with less wait vs my experiences at the original location near National and Sawtelle intersection.
google avatar

Cathie P.

Yelp
What do you expect when you get on a line on the sidewalk where there is a tent, grill and spinning meat? Not much, if not for the rave reviews of others, I would not have expected much at all. It is on the street, there is no fancy ambiance. If you are on line, you are here for the food. Don't take it to go, eat it on the spot. They have a tiny area to the right with 8 chairs. If you're lucky, grab a seat. If not, eat it by your car. When in LA, you need to have tacos, and to have the best, you need to get these street tacos. The pork with pineapple and the green sauce was my favorite. I heard the lines can be long but it goes fairly fast. Don't miss this stop!
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
I recommend the tacos de cabeza, the taste is quite authentic and prices are very reasonable.
google avatar

Ryna D.

Yelp
One of the best taco trucks in LA! I'm so glad I talked friends into going to try this. It was so good I've brought other people with me since and have tried to go back whenever I'm passing through Sawtelle. The line moves quickly so don't be discouraged. It's cash only so come prepared. The al pastor is a must have here but everything I've ordered thus far has been excellent!
google avatar

Jimmy S.

Yelp
The al pastor is the star of the show here. For around 10$ (or 11$ with cheese), you get a fairly thick and large portioned burrito filled with a decent amount of meat. It all goes very well together with the beans and rice. There might be a tad bit too much pineapple but it's a minor complaint. The al pastor is very good and flavorful along with a nice char. I've tried the other meats and found that the suadero is very good! I'd come back to try the tripas to see how that is. the lines can get very long depending on the time and day you go. It could take up to 45min or more in some cases.
google avatar

Sandra D.

Yelp
This place has great burritos! I like their chicken and beef. The sauce selection is good, workers are fast, always a line up but it goes smooth and fast. They got loud reggaeton playing while you wait. $9 for a burrito that feeds you 2-3 time is worth going
google avatar

Jenny J.

Yelp
There's a good few times I drove by here but because there's a line so I don't wanna wait for it but I finally cave in on lining up. It was the best decision everrrrrr. They are "CASH ONLY"!! Make sure to bring cash. I didn't know since three was a picture 3 years ago so I assumed they changed that. I venmoed a guy in front for $20 and got 10 tacos. Hands down on the al pastor and I'm picky usually. It was flavorful and it's a must with pineapples. I got my friends carne asada, chorizo, and also Al pastor. They loved it. Super tasty and everything. Imma try everything else next time when I have more cash. But I see why people wait for their foods!! I also want to try their torta. Looks like a bomb ass sandwich!! Please follow me on Yelp if you like my vibe. Or my IG eatwothjennime

Yelp
I heard about the hype to check out Brothers Cousins Tacos. A burrito for $9? Count me in! While driving there, it was easy to locate them by just noticing the long line of people. At first I thought it was a food truck, but they were under a canopy. I ordered a regular burrito with an option of rice and cheese. First they add the meat, cheese, and rice. My wife and I were confused when they handed to us. We were told to add any toppings and sauce (similar to a buffet or salad bar). No wonder the line moved pretty slow. After you made your choice you hand it back to them to fold the burrito. At the end, you can order drinks (ex. Horchata). The new experience was nice. Was it worth the wait in line? Not really. Tip: While in line, make sure to put the sauces on the side by placing them in the small containers provided instead of inside the burrito. I learned by mistake by adding the mild sauce in the burrito and there wasn't much flavor. I wish I packed up spicy sauces on the side just in case. When eating a burrito, I rather add sauce while taking every bite. Also when ordering tacos or al pastor, they don't add the sauce so you must prepare them in containers to go. Also, I don't like when the meat was chopped minced. I rather have my meat cut thick inside the burrito to taste the tenderness. Well lesson learned. On the bright side, less pricey for a large burrito (much larger than most super burrito), the horchata was delicious and staff done a wonderful job!

Yelp
Brothers Cousins Tacos: A Love Letter to LA's Late-Night Hunger Pangs Ever had one of those nights where you're not sure if you want to party or just grab the best taco of your life? Well, Brothers Cousins Tacos has you covered. Nestled under a humble canopy with a big "CASH ONLY" sign that feels more like a warning of how much you're about to love this place, it's a beacon for every hungry soul in LA after dark. Let's start with the trompo. This colossal, rotating tower of al pastor is a work of art, roasting to perfection as the meat sizzles and drips flavor onto the grill below. It's like watching a gourmet meat ballet unfold before your eyes. The guy carving it looks like he's in the zone--focused like a surgeon, except his patient is your stomach. Now, I dare you to try to resist the smoky allure of the fresh, juicy tacos they assemble right in front of you. But this isn't just about the tacos (though they are *fantastic*). No, Brothers Cousins Tacos takes it up a notch with their bubbling cauldron of culinary dreams: a simmering pot of beef, potatoes, and nopales that could bring a tear to the eye of the most hardened taco enthusiast. The sheer volume of savory goodness packed into this pan feels like the taco gods are bestowing you with a late-night miracle. As you wait in line with a crowd of fellow taco worshippers, you can't help but feel like you've stumbled into some kind of secret LA club. But trust me, after one bite, you'll realize why these street-side taco magicians are the real deal. Pro tip: don't let that "cash only" sign catch you off guard. Bring enough green to cover a feast because you'll want to try everything. Also, wear stretchy pants. You're going to need them.
google avatar

Isabel Y.

Yelp
My first time trying street tacos and they were decent! The lengua was by far the best meat, followed by chorizo. Unfortunately the chicken was very dry and the corn tortillas weren't anything special, but I tried the al pastor burrito and it was probably the best thing on the menu. There was a long line when we arrived, so we waited for at least 30 minutes or more, but service was quick once we got to the front. The station at the end allowed us to grab as many toppings and sides as we wanted, including salsa, avocado cream, onion, cilantro, lime, jalapenos, radish and cucumbers. There were seats at the end to eat there as well if you didn't want to take it to go.

Yelp
Brothers Cousins gets a third 5-star review from me. I recently ventured to East LA, specifically to try some of the more famous and renowned burrito spots. Some were quite good. Fantastic, even. But none to the level of Brothers Cousins. I still stand by this statement: Brothers Cousins make the best burritos in existence. Still waiting to be proven otherwise. Also, these people rock. Time after time, it's nothing but friendly, up-beat, and eager-to-please service. What crazy person would give Brothers Cousins anything but 5 stars?
google avatar

Ethan N.

Yelp
Casual Taco stand on Sawtelle near UCLA. Tacos go for $2 each and are good quality. They cut their al pastor off the stand fresh and provide grilled veggies and potatoes cooked in the beef stock. They also serve burritos, quesadillas, etc. I would recommend this spot if you're craving street tacos in West LA! Be prepared for a line as most nights the wait is 15-20 minutes. There is plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to the stand. They have a few chairs to sit on, but you may need to eat on your car.
google avatar

Carlo G.

Yelp
A great Mexican street food spot in the Westside! I got the mix cheese burrito with al pastor and asada and it was so big and filling! I love that they have their own Al pastor carving, so the meat seemed freshly prepared. It was also cool to see the pineapples on top of the Al pastor and the juices sliding down onto the meat. The burrito tasted great and was it really cheap too! I loved the self serve grilled onions as well as the variety of condiments available. I looked up this place before I went and saw they gave free potatoes with each meal, but when I went there was no potatoes, so I wish they would keep that consistent each night. I also got the horchata which was good for the price. It's a bit of a long line and long wait though, even for a week night. But it's definitely a good LA cheap street food vibe!
google avatar

Ashley H.

Yelp
Went at 10:00pm yesterday. Line wasn't super long so that was good. It wasn't amazing, the food was pretty greasy. The Al pastor was already "preheated" for then to add onto the tacos, not too fresh. It's outside only so you just eat in your car, but at least you can park jn the Rite Aid lot. Cash only. Lowkey racist of them to ask me where I come from. I'm clearly Asian American. And then he spouted random Asian slang at me. Would just go to a restaurant or somewhere else....
google avatar

Diana S.

Yelp
In a land of countless taco stands, Brothers Cousins is doing tacos a bit better than the others. You order your tacos, burrito (add your toppings and they'll wrap it up tight for you), mulitas, quesadillas, or torta. With it comes so many toppings: grilled jalapeños, pickled carrots and radish, onions--raw grilled or pickled, and salsas (avocado is a safe bet every time). At $2 per taco, the value and quality are absolutely there! I only gave a 4 instead of 5 because the Al pastor wasn't freshly carved and maybe that was because of the time we went or because it was cold. Please remember that it's cash only and tip the friendly folks running this spot. Most definitely hits the spot for a quick dinner or after (multiple) drinks!
google avatar

Nishat H.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday night and waited about 30-40 minutes - very worth it!!! The tacos were $2 (or $2.50 with cheese) and they were so delicious. There were lots of toppings and 3 different salsas. Highly recommend!

Amy Q.

Yelp
Their Al Pastor Burrito is an absolute MUST. It's not your average burrito. They crisp up the cheese, use a super thin tortilla, and throw in some pineapple magic. Totally worth my 50-minute drive--no regrets! Their carne asada tacos is Pretty standard, tortilla little bit thick for me... like any other taco truck. Only $2 each taco its a steal. Why not?
google avatar

Misa O.

Yelp
Obsessed! The workers were so kind and accommodating. Such delicious tacos for a reasonable price (not the cheapest I've seen but great for the quality). The Al Pastor was my favorite, and I loved their pickled onions. Their Avocado sauce was a bit watery though. Remember it's CASH ONLY.
google avatar

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
CASH ONLY! went 20 minutes after they opened. took 20-30 minutes to wait, order, and get my food, but by the time i left the line was over double the size. there's like 2 tables? but most people eat in their car. lots of parking. order with one person and they'll ask if you're eating there, in your car, or at home. if you say home, your tacos will get wrapped in foil with no plate btw. as you walk down the line they'll give you a plate to grab grilled onions and chilis which you hand back to them to wrap up. after you pay theres a toppings bar w onions, cilantro, red onions, radish, lime, cucumber, and avocado/green/red salsa. they have bags and sauce containers for those taking it to go. i got 4 tacos and i would rank them 1. cabeza 2. pastor 3.asada and lengua. the tacos are pretty small (size of your palm), but they do fold and stuff them with meat which is appreciated. they also use corn tortillas. cabeza was flavorful and super tender, pastor also had good flavor and i asked for pineapple too. overall, a solid spot for tacos on the westside at a very cheap price point, but slightly overhyped. wouldn't wait more than 20-30 minutes, but would go back to try their other items/meats
google avatar

Yingbo W.

Yelp
Wow the best taco stand with great food and good vibes! There may be better elsewhere but I don't feel like trying them all because I like how consistent Brothers cousins is. I seriously went here 4 nights in a row. There are two locations. They opened a new location like 2 min away on Sepulvada. Just go there because not as much of a line and the taste is the same. Otherwise for the original location on Sawtelle, you're looking at a 40 min wait on a random Tuesday night. I'm not too big of a fan of burritos. My favorite thing to get here are the mulitas. You get chewy cheese and your favorite types of meat! The best meat (I've tried them all including the weird ones like tongue and head) are asada, al pastor, and the tripe. They cook these very crispy with burnt end like gristle. I love that. They provide a generous bar of toppings like limes, onions, and cilantro plus vegetables like onion and cactus. The horchata isn't very good and the Jamaica is really sweet so I don't necessarily recommend the drinks. The price is really good too, a whole filling dinner for $10-15!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
11/10 - everything on the god damn menu There are a few places I rave about on a frequent basis and this is one of them. Honestly, a little surprised I took this long to review this place, but brothers cousins is an absolute must everytime I am in the Sawtelle area. The first time my roommates and I tried this place was prior to it blowing up on tiktok and we all were in agreement it was the best Mexican food we had ever had. Despite the much longer wait times now the quality has still yet to go downhill which is a huge plus. The service is super friendly and self explanatory, order what you want, put your toppings on and they will take care of the rest. Music is always a vibe and the energy of the workers is great. Honestly don't have a single bad thing to say about this place other than I wish the wait times were shorter.
google avatar

Sophie C.

Yelp
So worth the hype. Visiting a friend in LA, and she made sure to take me here as an introduction to the Mexican food scene here. The line gets pretty long, but these guys have it down so it goes quickly. They have fun music playing while waiting! Lots of customizability while ordering, decent burrito prices and great taco prices ($2!). We ordered a Al pastor burrito, HEFTY portion of meat (although I wish there were was more cheese). They give the burrito to you open faced so you can add toppings yourself, and you hand back the burrito for them to wrap. Horchata was delish, salsas were delish, grilled veggies were delish.

Yelp
There's a lot of hype around this taco stand and honestly, I would say it's a little too much. The food is very delicious, but significantly better than other stands? Not so much. We came around 11 pm on a Friday and there was plenty of parking. There were 2 other stands at the corner and they had no customers. A long line was waiting for Brothers Cousins tacos. We waited about 10-15 minutes before placing our order, which was ready within minutes. My boyfriend got a carne asada torta and I got 3 al pastor tacos and 1 chorizo taco. Prices were super cheap and the torta was huge! They had all the condiments ready. I always like grabbing the cooked onions, cucumber, radish, lime and salsas. We ate on their little stools on the sidewalk. Honestly, very delicious! But I wouldn't go out of my way to wait in their long line especially if you already have a more convenient and yummy location. I'll give that they have a lot of options like the torta, but I'd only stop by again if it was on the way or when there is not such a long line.

Yelp
The food here is amazing. Bring cash. Come before you're hungry because the line can get long! Consistent, quality tacos, burritos, horchata, etc, etc.

Yelp
In a place like Los Angeles where street tacos are widely available and the options are unlimited, brothers cousins tacos was the name I kept hearing. If you can't find the stand, just look for the long line, that's how we found it lol. The Al Pastor with pineapple is epic, it's no wonder that's their signature taco. The chicken and beef were also very good. Chorizo was pretty dry, I probably wouldn't order them again. The price of 14 tacos along with an hibiscus drink was around $30. Peppers & onions, potatoes, and condiments are all complementary. This is also a cash ONLY business.

Yelp
I used to frequent Brothers Cousins in 2018-19 abs had it again after all these years. Still solid. I was craving a carne asada quesadilla and my husband got the el pastor burrito. We loved both. They are so nice and wonderful. Westside staple.

Yelp
Food is great and I'll be coming back for sure, mostly for the pastor. Service is also great, workers are friends and straight to the point especially when your friend helps order . The few times I've gone through never have any horchata available, it's always out... the overall atmosphere is great. They have plenty of parking near by but it seems like nobody knows how to park or drive

Yelp
Street tacos. All day. Every day. Filling. Easy in the wallet and quality. Go there now.

Yelp
Delicious $2 tacos! It's cash only & there's plenty of free parking but very limited seating. They offer grilled pineapple, plenty of toppings, and so many meat options. I went on a Sat. night so the line was very long, but it moved quickly.

Yelp
I'm still dreaming about that al pastor burrito. It's truly a feast for the taste buds. Everything, from the flame-kissed meat (slightly charred), to the "just sweet enough" pineapple, to on-point seasoning throughout that made every individual element soar, to the proper ratio of beans to meat, to perfectly melted cheese, to the heaping portion size (come hungry!), all at an exceptional value of just $10. Quite simply, it's a burrito as it should be done. The meat is clearly the star here, and boy does it shine. I'm not even a big pastor fan, and this made me a convert. If you live in the area, you should be coming here at least once a week. If you are visiting, hop off the plane at LAX and run, don't walk, to Brothers Cousins. I'm not kidding. It's worth the journey. Try it with the red salsa for a little kick! P.S. the tacos were just ok. I tried the asada and chorizo. I felt these were a little small and a bit one-note (though you can customize as you see fit with the self-serve add-ins). $2 a piece, though, is still a good deal.

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Brothers Cousins Tacos - their food is absolutely incredible and lives up to the hype. We found out about them from a random Instagram video and drove over an hour to try them. Their stand was on the curb near the Rite Aid, and the line was LONG. I think we waited about 45 minutes, but the food was well-worth the wait. Not to mention their efficiency at making the food - tortillas were literally being thrown from person to person. We got the Al Pastor burrito w/ cheese as well as an al pastor quesadilla. The burrito is STUFFED with al pastor and is so flavorful - hands down would drive all the way back again just for this burrito. Their quesadillas are huge, super cheesy, and filling. Their al pastor is cooked fresh on a spit at the stand, and they cut the meat as you order - can't get any fresher than that. It was some of the best al pastor I've ever had. And their prices! So reasonable for the amount and quality of food you receive. My burrito was around $11 and the quesadilla around $9. They are cash only, so make sure to have some on you. If not, there is an ATM inside the Rite Aid, and the cashier can also do cash back on a purchase. Hands down, come here. The line might be long, but it is worth every minute spent standing in line. The food is incredible - you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
I love me a good taco truck and LA has a lot of them but this place is good and worth. got a burrito with al pastor, rice, cheese, and no beans and it was $10. after they put the meat in your tortilla you can add onions, cilantro, other condiments in before they wrap it for you. all the sauces are tasty. cash only and plenty of parking in the rite aid area need to come back for their tacos. there is a second location that could have a smaller line, I waited an hour on a Friday at 7:30pm.

Yelp
Okay, so Brothers Cousins Tacos (original location) is probably my favorite tacos from a stand/truck on the westside. This is their second location not too far from the original. Like 3-4 blocks close. Same friendly, helpful folks. There's less excitement because when I went (late during a weekday), there was little to no line. That's fine by me. I will give up a little on the vibe if it means waiting a lot less for my food. Plus, they way the truck is positioned, you feel a little more protected. I love the original location, but I definitely have to say I get worried with the fast traffic so close to the lines on the sidewalk. This place operates pretty much exactly the same with the same delicious meats. I ordered an asada, a carnitas, and an al pastor taco. Once I got the tacos, I got to dress it up with the fresh toppings and salsa. Such a delicious, satisfying meal and experience. They really do have some of the best tasting tacos in the city in my opinion. I didn't order it this time, but I am intrigued by the burrito. They hand you the plate with the tortilla filled with meat so you can add the toppings and salsa you want inside. I really like that and my mouth is seriously watering as I write this. Parking is super easy because there is a large lot where the CVS and Vons is in the area.

Yelp
It's better than I remembered. This place has absolutely blown up since I last went, and now the lines are longer than I could have imagined. However, their service, their quality, and kindness still holds up. They are easily one, if not the best, taco stand on the westside. Brothers Cousins has some great options outside of its pastor, like suadero, asada, pollo, lengua, and tripa. What is impressive outside of it, is that they offer boiled potato in the meat juices, cactus, carrots, bell peppers and onions to top your tacos. It is a killer add and makes for some of the best tacos you could ask for. While others get burritos, and as social media has made it famous, I would opt for a smattering of tacos. I would bring cash, and consider getting here before 10pm, along with comfy sneakers. Of course, enjoy eating it in the parking lot on a trunk or in the car. You'll thank me when the grease drips from your mouth and onto your hands while you chomp on their goodness.

Yelp
Okay gotta hand it to them, best street meat we've had. The Al pastor burrito had high expectations and did not disappoint.

Yelp
The tacos here are good by westside standards. If we are being honest though, mexican food on the westside is on a much lower level... than even OC, let alone the rest of LA. $2 per taco may seem cheap because everything on the westside costs so much. If you consider the quality and quantity of the food, There's an argument for $2 being a fair price but It definitely can't be considered a good value though. TACOS The meats are about average. The tortillas are average. SERVICE Good, friendly service PARKING Street and nearby lot (free)

Yelp
Burrito was great but the workers kept saying ni hao and annyeonghaseyo and bowing at me while making the burrito

Yelp
My friend hit me up to checkout Brothers Cousin tacos tonight. I had it bookmarked for the longest time. We drove 40 minutes in the pouring rain and witnessed two accidents along the way just to get some good eats for our starving tummies. The both of us will go far for good food even though we've never tried this place we both saw on IG that it was a popular spot multiple times and read good reviews which isn't necessarily true but we were gonna make the trip to see what the hype was all about. I didn't want to fiddle with tacos tonight I just wanted to cling onto one piece of food and enjoy it until the last bite so I opted for the Al pastor burrito with pineapple and rice. They give it to you open face so you can add your own toppings I.e. onions, cilantro, lime, grilled onions and sauces. Then you hand it back and they'll roll your burrito back up for your enjoyment. The workers are friendly and talkative as I went back after devouring my burrito to get food for my compadres back home. Which consisted of a pollo chicken taco and Mulita which is a mini taco sized quesadilla with cheese, meat and pineapple. Everything was reasonably priced. The burrito was priced at $9, the tacos $2, the Mulita $3, quesadilla $9. They have a variety typical meats found at a taco establishment. The stand is on the street corner with canopies to cover themselves and partially cover their patrons. They do have some short stools to sit on but it was pretty wet outside which most people left and ate in their cars or took it to go. I highly recommend this place for your next Mexican food outing with you or your friends as you'll be greeted by friendly faces and served really good food. There is plenty of parking in the lot.
