Brothers Creamery Frozen Custard

Mediocre experience. If you have an ice cream craving, I’d go elsewhere (i’m aware this is custard not ice cream). Custard isn’t the best but if you have a specific liking for it then sure. I ordered the oreo malt at first which was very soupy so I exchanged for an oreo fudge concrete which was better. The employees were nice with my issue which was appreciated.

Good custard, good service, but too small to service the neighborhood it’s in. This place was super busy on a summer weekend evening, and they had a pretty efficient system of taking orders, giving tickets, and calling groups. It was fast enough that the group of people waiting for orders didn’t overwhelm the seating and waiting area. The concrete was tasty, though nothing special, but there wasn’t much seating space outside. The single trashcan was overflowing. If there was a true local ice cream spot in the area, I’d choose that over this in a heartbeat, but it did the trick as a sweet treat!

Cute place. However I did not think the custard was anything special. I thought the flavor was very mid. Would rather have something from shake shack or McDonald’s honestly.

Very disappointed with the product today. Handed us the ice cream melted and in a second cup saying “sorry” while she gave it. Usually very good product but not today. I might come back.

What an amazing ice cream shop, or more specifically frozen custard shop. I got the biscoff concrete and it was delicious blend of biscoff cookies and frozen custard. The menu had an interesting list of options. Going to try next the cinnamon rice pudding flavor concrete that is described as tasting like horchata. Or maybe the Belgian Butter Pecan. Update: I’ve didn’t tried their cinnamon rice flavor and Belgian butter pecan. Belgian butter pecan was another 5/5 like the biscoff. Full of flavor and different textures. The cinnamon rice pudding (horchata like) is 4/5…great ice cream but missing a little more of the horchata taste and doesn’t have the different textures experience as the other two. It’s definitely solidified my opinion that it’s the best ice cream in the neighborhood.

So excited for this new ice cream spot in Lakeview East! The menu has concretes, shakes, and sundaes - I went with a classic Oreo concrete (it was delicious!), but want to come back and try some of the more interesting flavor combos! The shop is adorable and they have a few benches both inside and out on the sidewalk. The team working there was super friendly and service was quick. Was just telling some friends how there's been so many "artisanal" ice cream places popping up the last few years, have been waiting for a spot like this in the neighborhood!

Wonderful ice cream store. Great employees even better custard. I had the Cookie Monster concrete mixer and it was refreshing to see a store use that many cookies. Usually Oreo shakes are sparse with Oreos. This Cookie Monster held to its name with plenty of Oreos and cookie dough chunks. Must recommend the wild berry cheesecake as well. Overall amazing experience

I'm basically always craving ice cream, so I was super excited to discover Brothers Creamery! The inside is quaint and cute. Hippie vibes with the mural of the truck. There's a few benches lining the shop to sit and eat or wait for your custard. I ordered the sea salt turtle sundae and was shocked by how big it was! It was delicious too! The custard is so creamy, I would eat it plain and I'm not much of a plain vanilla fan! I've also ordered the biscoff concrete which was amazing as well. I loved the chunks of the biscoff cookies and the contrast against the smooth consistency of the custard. I would 100% come back for either of these, but I want to try more options! I also love that you can build your own, so the options truly are endless.

Hey y'all, I'm back again, let's just say this place is so good right after you had some wings from crisp. When you first walk in you get this very clean cut very Instagram worthy very hippie vibe . we knew the custard was going to be good but when we tasted it, it was like buttery good and melted so good. I've always been the girl to order the Biscof cookies on Delta flights triple the cookies for me so when I seen that they had biscof cookies Sunday i was elated. my boyfriend ordered the espresso brownie concrete, and the brownies were not hard. They were super soft and super chocolatey. If you like coffee, you'll like that. The service was very good and he actually had to build my Sunday because that was not part of the menu which I was surprised . it is if you build your own, it is so worth it. Check it out !

Ordered the small wild berry cheesecake concrete which was a good size to share. The inside of the store is small with a handful benches to sit on. We thought the mix would go all the way through the cup but the bottom layer was the vanilla custard while the wild berry part was only the top half. Overall was good- I would come back!

Brothers Creamery is very creamy! I love their custard. Its a vert small spot not much space to stay and eat. The service is nothing special but they make your ice cream just the way you want it. I recommend the strawberry Nutella, wild berry cheesecake and Morgan's grasshopper.

I'm going to preface this by saying that I am a huge chocolate fan and have probably never ordered vanilla outside of one brownie sundae. This place is amazing. Only selling vanilla, I thought I may not enjoy this as much but I was wrong. I did not hesitate in getting a biscoff concrete. The custard was so creamy making for the absolute best consistency. The taste wasn't too overly vanilla and the biscoff mixed in gave an extra sweetness without being overpowering. Along with the biscoff spread, the biscoff crumbles were plenty and had a contrasting texture to the soft custard. I enjoyed this so much, I would come back and get vanilla by itself. I highly, highly recommend this place. You could get this after one of the many amazing restaurants in the area or just on its own like me.

What a cute little spot! We got the berry cheesecake concrete. The ice cream is mixed on the spot, kind of like a blizzard. The staff are nice and quick with service too. It's a casual spot in Lakeview to grab some ice cream and hang out outside if the weather is nice. There's not much room for seating, so be prepared to take it to go.

Phenomenal ice cream in lake view!! I've been saying that Chicago's ice cream scene is lacking and brothers creamery may have redeemed that statement. The concrete mixers are delicious, filled with toppings, and the perfect thick consistency where it's creamy like a milkshake but thick like regular ice cream. I got the Cookie Monster but got hot fudge instead of the blue syrup and it was exactly what I wanted - rich and so many textures! A long line formed while I was there and there were only two people working but the mixers were made quite fast. They have a few benches inside but not really a place to sit in and eat; definitely a to-go spot. A little pricey at ~$8 for a small but they really filled it to the brim. Can't wait to go back!!

Scooters finally has some fierce competition in this city . The custard here is great. A few complaints but not enough to remove a star: 1. This place doesn't have kids sizes 2. There really isn't a "small" and the adult sizes are a bit too big ( I know for some that would be a huge plus and not a con ) 3. No real seating available except for a small bench. The actual product is great- refreshing, rich, creamy and delicious. Chose a suggested concrete, make your own creation with many topping choices. chose a sundae or milk shake. My little one ordered the Nutella concrete and thought it was amazing and I had the strawberry/ banana sundae which was great as well. If they add a kids portion and a smaller portion option for adults, I'll come back ( while I try not to have that much dessert, in a moment of weakness I might come back anyway!)

My first time having frozen custard from here and wowwwww the texture is insane!! We got the Morgan's grasshopper concrete and one scoop of vanilla. I almost prefer the plain scoop because you can really taste how creamy and custardy the vanilla is.

Very good frozen custard, and OPEN IN THE WINTER!!! We love frozen custard and our place closes for the winter so we were SO happy to find Brothers! It's 2 blocks from my mom's house, so we can walk. Custard is super creamy, and they offer some interesting(and tasty) toppings. I had the vanilla custard with the toasted almonds and chocolate ships. Yum! Their custard is a bit sweeter than the other guys, but so good! Please give them a try!

Brothers serves delicious custard in large portions. The small was almost too much custard for me but I really enjoyed it. The prices are super reasonable as well. Just be warned that it can be pretty heavy so don't be afraid to split with someone.

Frozen custard was tasty but... Not so frozen sadly so it melted super fast. Got the pecan concrete and my friend got the sundae which was nice and frozen still. Flavors seems awesome tho

You ever eat too much at rotary sushi and you need a nice walk somewhere to get something sweet? Well let me interest you in Brothers custard. Bothers has one flavor - vanilla. It is creamy, smooth as silk, and somehow pretty light without sacrificing anything. There is a strong vanilla flavor that feels classic but in a perfect way. Because I was bloated I only ordered a scoop of vanilla for $4, but they have a variety of mix ins and ways to spice it up if plain vanilla is too boring Can't recommend this place enough! Just really excellent!

I've been meaning to stop by this place for a little while. Last time I went it was not open and I was so sad. I finally got the opportunity and I ordered the 12 oz wild berry cheesecake flavor. It was a vanilla base with blueberry preserves and bits of cheesecake mixed in throughout. I think 12 oz was the perfect amount and service was fast. There are also seats indoors for people to chill in which is great considering the weather somedays.

Went here after dinner earlier this week as I'd walked be it many times and heard good things. The prices are reasonable and they have a decent selection of different options. I ordered the custard with biscoff butter and added banana. However, they completely forgot to add the biscoff so it was just custard and banana, which was good but not exactly what I ordered. I will try again soon and hopefully get what I order!

This place was delicious! I am a huge fan of frozen custard and am so glad that I have found a new frozen custard spot closer than the nearest Andys. I got the Grasshopper concrete and it was delicious! The textures and the combination of the oreos and Andes mint chocolates was a perfect complement to the vanilla custard. I was worried it would be too minty or too artificial tasting but it ended up being perfect. The concrete itself was huge and could easily be split between two people in my opinion. One minor thing is that I wish that the custard itself was a little bit thicker in consistency as my dessert started melting into a liquid almost immediately after I got it. But I would definitely come back in the future because the flavor combos are delicious and the location is great too.

Great place to grab a dessert. Lots of options to choose from when it comes to making a concrete with their vanilla custard. Workers were very kind, would definitely come back to try another flavor! My boyfriend got the banana one with pecans and it was amazing. I opted for the Reese's which was good but not as good as the banana!

First the Crepe Shoppe and now this!! I must say that Peter and Marius; you have out done yourselves! This is by far the best custard I have ever had in my life! Thank you for this! This will be a great addition to Lakeview! My custard had flavors in every bite! I'm definitely a peanut butter holic and this satiated that craving! I took it to Lincoln Park and along the way people kept stopping me to ask where I got it from! I had fun being a walking billboard :)!! Congratulations and thanks for your custard photo assist too!

Amazing frozen custard! I got the Morgan's grasshopper with comes with Oreos. Some of the family members I was with shared a vanilla one but I don't remember if they got any toppings. One of my cousins raved about Brother's so I'm glad we went today. Service was friendly. I live in CA but look forward to coming back on my next trip to Chicago!

A warm welcome to the new kid on the block: Brothers Creamery Frozen Custard! I had to stop in for their soft opening today (and tomorrow). This cute little spot is bright and fun. For the no frills folks, you can choose between 2-4 scoops of their classic vanilla frozen custard in a cup or a homemade waffle cone. I went for an Oreo concrete but would love to try the Biscoff concrete next time! They also offer shakes, sundaes, and custard in a to-go pint. The vanilla custard was decadent and addicting. It reminded me of my childhood summers - I never wanted it to end! Please go show this place some love by stopping in for a sweet treat and follow them on social media.

Best custard ever. Will be coming back again and again. We came here last minute for dessert on a weekend night and it wasn't too crowded. My gf got the peanut butter cup on the left and I got the banana/pecan on the right. SO TASTY!

We came during the soft opening, and we were blown away. The Sea Salt Turtle is crazy good. The staff was very kind, and there's some indoor seating. This is definitely be our new ice cream spot. Fantastic!

My girlfriend and I went for ice cream while cruising around and landed here after hearing great things about this place. This is probably the best custard I've ever had!!! I got the wildberry cheesecake and my girlfriend got the espresso brownie custard. We will definitely be going back!

These boys can do no wrong. First The Crepe Shop (a couple doors down) and now Brothers Creamery! They're currently still in soft open I think, but I ordered the Berry Cheesecake Concrete and it was phenomenal. Flavor was all the way through and nice big chunks of cheesecake throughout. Like a gourmet Blizzard....SO GOOD!!!

Right now, they only have one custard flavor, vanilla, but it was very tasty! You can add on toppings too; I went with cookie dough. It's super creamy and filling, hitting the spot just right!

YUM. I just moved to Chicago, and one of the first things I did was google all the dessert places in my neighborhood. I'm on a mission to try all of them, and this was on my list :) First off, their soft serve was some of the BEST I've had. Creamy and smooth, and just the right texture. I got cookie dough and caramel sauce, and the caramel was AMAZING. I told them to surprise me in terms of the salted caramel or regular and honestly I don't know what i ended up with but it. Was. Amazing. Perfect consistency and the taste was very natural, not those processed caramel sauces! All in all HIGHLY recommended and I will DEFINITELY be back, maybe too often

"Can we have more of it?" My daughter begs from the other room. "NO!" It's too good. And this place isn't exactly on my list of foods to help me watch my calorie intake. But damn I feel bad putting it in the freezer for later. It's friggin delicious. We got the biscoff concrete. Because my daughter asked. I should have said no there too because then I saw the Grasshopper. Ugh. I'll have to come back asap to get that now. I'm thrilled this place is in the neighborhood. We've needed more frozen desserts like this around. It sure is tasty. I can't wait to come back.

Best frozen custard I've had in my entire life. Generous portions, quick service, cute decor. Can get crowded in summer but they're fast and it's so so worth it.

Staff is so so nice. The frozen custard is delicious. They only have the one flavor, I think ,and you can add all kinds of toppings/mix ins and pick how you want it, like in a cup, waffle bowl, shake, etc. It's such a cute place with good music so if there's short wait feels, it's not bad at all.

We had to try at least one custard shop on our trip to Chicago and this place won after evaluating our options. It's a new spot, but it's already getting great reviews. I ordered the banana and Nutella sundae and hubby ordered the Morgan's Grasshopper concrete. Both were large portions so plan on doing a little walking afterward because we were quite full afterward. The. Us yard was creamy and smooth and we both thoroughly enjoyed our choices. They have 4 benches outside to enjoy your custard if the weather is nice.

If my boyfriend was single he would be hooking up with Brothers everyday. Personally I prefer Yoberri's non-fat options #skinny

SO good!! Friendly and efficient service, small little custard shop with amazing flavors and add-ins. Their list of concretes all look so good, tried the wild berry and it was amazing. We also tried a chocolate shake and it was one of the best chocolate shakes ever. They're currently featuring a pumpkin flavor concrete as their seasonal, would love to see a key lime or s'mores next summer. Will for sure be back.

Some of the finest custard I have eaten outside of Jarlling's Custard Cup. Excellent service by the young man at the counter. Outstanding location on Broadway just south of Wellington. Affordable priced too. Two scoops for $4.25

First time trying frozen custard! The custard was good and the quantity was huge. I got the vanilla with bananas and Nutella and shared it with a friend. I don't think I could have had it all by myself haha. Service: they were really nice but not flexible. I asked if they would give me only one scoop, and they said no. I asked for an extra bowl so that I could split it and they said no again. Maybe it's not profitable for them, so I understand :)

So happy there's a custard place in lakeview east now!! great mixes and flavors. and it's a cute little shop! is a little pricey but super consistent with quality and general chicago cost. highly recommend :-)

Delicious frozen custard and friendly staff. The concretes have pretty garnishes (mint leaves, pumpkin pie slices, etc) that add to the whole experience.

The space is super cute! I'm sure it's nicer in warmer weather since they also have benches just out front. Staff was friendly and gave helpful input on flavors to try. The custard was so good - I had their seasonal flavor of pumpkin pie. I also think you get a good amount of custard for the price; I saved mine because I couldn't finish and it wasn't bad the next day either! Will definitely be going back!

Good spot on broadway if you are looking for a treat after a long walk. Only had to wait a minute tops to get my ice cream after ordering it - very fast service. Interior is very creative and great for pictures. Ice cream was good but a bit runny; feel like it could have been a bit creamier.

Great new spot added in Lakeview this summer. The portions are large which is good for the price, however it may even be worth splitting with someone. Clean space and kind workers. A bonus to the community!
