"Brothers Fish & Chips sounds like it could be a waterfront shack, but it’s actually an out-of-the-way seafood refuge in an Ossining strip mall. There’s a full-service restaurant next door to the original Brothers takeout spot, and both places serve carefully sourced, beer-battered fish and other fried marine life. The relaxed and friendly restaurant has a DIY-meets-deluxe aesthetic, and the tasting menu of the day may include dishes served with dehydrated chimichurri or mezcal tomato sauce. Not every dish hits, but this place has an undeniable charm, enhanced by details like edible flowers grown onsite and cocktails made with fresh juices. There’s also a short list of a la carte options each day, and themed dinners throughout the year that are worth checking out." - mike wasserman

BEST PLACE! Love the food very perfect for dates, and celebrating important events with your loved ones. Food is made with love and the presentations are incredible. make sure to book your table. It gets very busy. The Tasting menu is the best part of the place. Enjoy every moment and dish that comes in. Service is perfect sometimes get busy and understand but love the people.

Food & service were excellent! 4 out of 6 of us ordered the 8 course tasting menu with the wine paring. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. All the wine choices were very good. Wait staff was very attentive, personable & every drink the bartender made, matched the care and presentation of the food. The lobster risotto & fish and chips were also delicious. Was our first time dining at Brothers Fish & Chips. I promise it won’t be our last.

Just had an amazing meal at Brothers Fish and Chips. We had the place to ourselves for our 7pm seating on a Sunday and can’t help wonder why this place isn’t packed to the gills every moment they’re open. Food was creative, delicious, and carefully prepared. Service was Michelin worthy with attention to detail (they overheard my wife say it was my birthday and went above beyond to make our visit special including a complimentary margarita and delicious tres leche cake complete with a candle!). We ordered from regular menu (fish tacos - may be the best we’ve had, full stop) but will be going back for chef tasting pairing soon. Stop asking where you should go and just check this place out.

Food quality is always top notch. But value and service were below par. $22 for the smallest portion of calamari I've ever seen, by far?. $30+ for what used to be a huge portion of fish & chips but has been cut down to what you'd get at local pub? C'mon guys. Lobster risotto was great though. Service was way too slow. That calamari app took over thirty minutes from when we ordered. Won't be back, at least not for the regular menu.

My second tasting menu at Brothers and it did not disappoint. Each dish carefully crafted and explained by Chef Elmer himself. A three hour culinary journey of the sea. My friends and I left completely happy and satisfied.

Awesome fish and chips! The Caesar salad is awesome, too! I'm knocking off a star because they told me on the phone they had chicken tenders (which weren't on the menu, but I thought I'd ask because I was ordering for a family including kids who wanted chicken tenders), but upon pickup it was a fried chicken breast cut into strips. These aren't the same and it felt dishonest. I'd have rather just have been told no, or told what I was ordering more accurately.

Update from 4/20/2024:The magic that Chef Elmer brings to his restaurant is evident in his quality of ingredients, creativity in methods, and artistry in plating. Most delicious preparation of seafood that mixes taste, texture, and aroma, a true sensory experience. We had the restaurant week menu but have also tried the tasting menu. The experience at Brothers is much more than just eating a meal it is dining theater. You will not find a more caring, passionate chef! A must go to spot in Ossining. Fabulous fresh seafood with an innovative twist. Great cocktails and dessert too.
