I had an excellent experience at Brothers Fish and Chips! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, easily some of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. A special shoutout to Elmer, who provided outstanding service from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality these days, and it really made the meal even better. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious seafood and top-notch service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Great food, fresh ingredients, the drinks are creative. The chef Elmer is an artist, he truly loves creating a wonderful experience for his customers.

Food & service were excellent! 4 out of 6 of us ordered the 8 course tasting menu with the wine paring. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. All the wine choices were very good. Wait staff was very attentive, personable & every drink the bartender made, matched the care and presentation of the food. The lobster risotto & fish and chips were also delicious. Was our first time dining at Brothers Fish & Chips. I promise it won’t be our last.

Ate here the other night. Unremarkable fish and chips for $32. Two ok but greasy pieces of cod, decent fries. Lobster bisque came out watery, lukewarm and wishy washy flavor, no crackers or anything. $28 for a bowl of bisque that was by far the worst "bisque" Ive ever had. Two small slices of toasted sourdough came out halfway through dinner. When the bill came, we saw that they automatically give themselves an 18% "service charge" on all parties, even parties of 2. It's more like 20% as Im pretty sure they put the 18% on the tax as well. DO NOT ADD TIP if you feel the REQUIRED 18%-20% "SERVICE CHARGE" is enough. Small note on the bottom of the menu so forget it if you want to determine the tip yourself. We will NOT be back based on our experience. Definitely not worth it. Overrated

What is this gorgeousity in my mouth?! What a little gem of a place. Not only is the presentation of every plate a feast for the eyes (even the fish and chips got its own flower), but everything was seasoned perfectly and packed with flavor. The pisco sour was *divine*. The staff was also friendly and attentive, can't wait to be back.

Just had an amazing meal at Brothers Fish and Chips. We had the place to ourselves for our 7pm seating on a Sunday and can’t help wonder why this place isn’t packed to the gills every moment they’re open. Food was creative, delicious, and carefully prepared. Service was Michelin worthy with attention to detail (they overheard my wife say it was my birthday and went above beyond to make our visit special including a complimentary margarita and delicious tres leche cake complete with a candle!). We ordered from regular menu (fish tacos - may be the best we’ve had, full stop) but will be going back for chef tasting pairing soon. Stop asking where you should go and just check this place out.

this place is incredible! every dish is delicious and love the cocktails. great for date night, a party with friends and family, or just whenever you are in the mood for a great meal. order here for catering parties as well and never disappointed!

Absolutely incredibly food, cannot recommend this enough. It’s the best fish and chips we’ve eaten in Westchester. I have a severe allergy and they were very accommodating and because I let them know before they had food set aside for me that I could eat. The server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and quick. Everyone that works there has a very deep knowledge of their food and ingredients. They are always professional and very attentive. The location is a bit strange but it’s totally worth it when you’re inside.

It was amazing. The drinks were great and the food was exceptionally good. I'd definitely recommend this place. The tostones with crab are to die for.

Their truck is one of the classics at the fireworks fest. They're brilliant with the fryer, carefully maintaining the integrity of the fish and potatoes. New this year: there was no wait and enjoyed the refreshing white sangria.

Amazing seafood restaurant, working with seasonal and local fished fishes. The flounder was cooked perfectly and served with seasonal vegetables. Nothing fancy or extra, just perfectly and simply cooked food. The waitress was kind and friendly. It was affordable for that high quality food I recommend and will go again to try more

Food is pretty good. Portions are small for the price. No sides served with the tuna. Tres Leche cake tasted old No ice served in water. A tortilla and a half served with ceviche . Why not two. Very noisy restaurant with uncomfortable seats. Not worth the money for the total experience Service was slow and not friendly. Tip added to bill. I didn't even think that was legal I have taken food out here for a long time and enjoyed it. I will continue to do so but I won't come back to the eat in part of this establishment

To go location review: Best fish and chips outside of London. Yep I said it! This spot has been on my list but I underestimated how good it would be. I ordered the fish tacos and a side of coleslaw. The fish was super fresh and crispy. Topped with slaw and a mango pico. The blue corn tortilla was a nice touch. So much tastier than corn or flour! My one down side was the slaw on the taco was a little wet, so if you didn't eat fast enough it made for a soggy tortilla. The staff was nice, but 0 urgency in making our order. We waited close to 30 minutes for 2 tacos. Mind you there was only one other person there at the time we arrived. The outside is unsuspecting and doesn't give the general appear of a great spot, but don't be fooled! If you are in the market for some quality food definitely your spot!

Wow this restaurant didn't miss on a single element! I thought it was a nice touch when they added flowers on everything - made for a nice presentation. The crab tostones had some really fresh crab meat. It went well with the fried plantains and surprisingly had a great depth of flavor. The fish and chips were life changing. I didn't know it could be cooked so well like this. The fish was flaky and light, almost buttery. The breading was thin and crispy. You can pick cod or bass, and I chose cod. The tartar sauce and coleslaw were also both excellent! They gave us a free orange creme brulee on the house and it had just the right amount of citrusy orange flavor! Very cool dish, and was served in an orange peel with toasted brown sugar beneath. The ambiance was a little odd because they were playing some slightly loud remixed pop music and had a light strip under the bar which was odd because the restaurant is quite upscale. But I thoroughly enjoyed the food here!

they have raised the prices for takeout fish and chips to an extraordinarily high level for the volume or should I say lack of volume that they deliver. I ordered the large fish and I was only given one tiny container of tartar, sauce. I do not eat a large volume of food, the large fish was pretty small, even for me. This will most likely be the last time I will go back. I grew up eating fish on the Florida Gulf Coast, I know good fish. This was less than ordinary, pretty bland! The sit down restaurant needs to repair their front door. I remember that door being broken for over a year. No one wants to go into a sit down restaurant and have the door slam every time somebody walks in; it is not a good customer experience or ambience. Fix the darn door!

Was underwhelming to say the least I ordered the fish and chips the bass I got grilled fish I'm not sure if I read it wrong or what the tacos my boyfriend had were good and the fish I was looking for . The sake serving was small and the gratuity was included in the bill. After delivering the check our waitress informed us ...perhaps that's why she wasn't over zealous in attending us. I tried to make conversation in Spanish which she ignored. When we left was the only real time we were really thanked or acknowledged. For 100 we left hungry kinda sad to say .

Another great dinner here. Always the best ingredients and creative dishes. Menu is small and prices are very high expensive. But the details and the quality of the dishes make up for it.

I don't know quite how to rate brother fish and chips. The takeout side has an incredible menu with many different options like five different kinds of fried fish. The restaurant side has a handful of options only two kinds of fried fish and really good food. And expensive. I think you have to decide for yourself what what you want to experience there.

Love Brother's Fish & Chips. The name of the restaurant can be a bit deceiving. This team can seriously cook! Truly, fine dining, like eating in Manhattan. A local gem, delicious fish and chips, but so much more! I highly recommend this restaurant. Yum!!!

We did the tasting at Brothers Fish & Chips last night and it was phenomenal. Chef Elmer served us himself and explained each course. 2.5 hours and 9 courses later we were so satisfied and feeling awed by the creativity of the meal. My husband who "doesn't even really like seafood" was floored, the Tuna Mole dish legit almost made him cry. Upon sitting we were offered a glass of cava but opted for NA beers. Then the plates began! 1. White fish coconut milk ceviche with fried raspberry oyster 2. Scallops with coconut truffle emulsion, sepia caviar and cilantro flower 3. Octopus duck fat, saffron rice flavored with shrimp chimichurri garlic jalapeño aioli 4. Phenomenal Fish and Chips, But Beware of the Hidden Service Charge!! Brothers Fish & Chips in Ossining is hands down a phenomenal spot for fish and chips--no doubt about that. The food is fresh, crispy, and packed with flavor. If you're looking for top-notch fish and chips, this place delivers. However, here's where it all falls apart. The wait is long, which I can understand for quality food, but what really kills the experience is the sneaky *18% automatic service charge* they don't tell you about until the bill arrives. Supposedly, it's written somewhere on the menu, but good luck finding it. They don't mention it upfront, and let's be real--if they did, it might make you think twice about staying. And yes, this applies even if you're paying in cash. That kind of greed feels like a slap in the face after enjoying a good meal which is priced 10% above market to begin with. It's enough to make me reconsider ever coming back, and I definitely won't recommend it to others unless this is fixed. What a shame!

Perfect fish and chips and miles ahead of anything else I have ever tried. Amazing taste and food presentation at the dine in restaurant and amazing food for takeout.

I just made an order through Ubereats. The food was absolutely horrible. First, I ordered the "All Hands on Deck". There were no chicken wings in the box (it was supposed to come with 4). My cod had a taste of ammonia which signifies that it's not fresh. Additionally, both my and my fiancée's shrimp were not fresh. I literally wound up throwing the food away. She was at least able to eat her flounder. I'm very disappointed.

Delicious! On our way home stopped by as it was on the way. Had seen recommendations on Westchester Foodies. We enjoyed the shrimp ceviche and the fish and chips with sea bass. Will definately be back.

It's been two hours since we ate here, and we're still shaking our heads saying, "man, what WAS that?!?" It was that good! This spot is celebrating 14 years in business for a reason. Awe-inspiring food is made in this little restaurant nestled beside a nail salon and parking lot. Everything tastes nothing like you've had before. From the lobster in a squid-ink sponge cake, to the coleslaw on the fish tacos, to the lightness of the fried fish, to the pillowy tres leches - it's just nonstop hits. And it's not one of those pretentious places where things look artsy and prices are high and there's no flavor. No! The food here is so inventive and delicious and fresh. Cannot wait to come back and try their take-out business next door - their fish sandwiches, calamari and more. They even have adorable outdoor seating. Hats off to the insanely-talented chef Elmer and his team, and our server Guan who was so kind and so helpful to us - he gave us the best recommendations the whole night. The atmosphere is lovely and the service was great. Don't let the facade scare you away because it's a great restaurant. One of the best spicy margaritas I've ever had. Food was well presented and delicious.

Years ago my wife convinced me of the benefits & preference of sitting at the bar of any eating establishment we visit, especially if it's the 1st time we're checking out a spot. It's a sure fired, guaranteed way to get the true measure of a place & allows one to interact without the artificial barrier of a traditional table service arrangement. Had a taste for fish n chips last weekend and after perusing (& not being armored by) the usual local suspects we realized we needed to cast a wider net and zeroed in on a place that had piqued my interest in the past, Brothers Fish & Chips (B F&C) in Ossining. This required us to take a 30 minute drive north but we are not adverse to going out of our comfort zone to seek out good food We wound up driving past their location as it's in a strip center with a very narrow entryway that's hard to see at night After navigating our way back we parked and made our way down the steep parking lot incline to the entrance & were promptly greeted & seated at their small bar B F&C is charming & inconspicuous but has a warm & friendly vibe After checking out their menu we decided on ordering their mixed ceviche & signature fish n chips as well as a reasonably priced bottle of Albariño The quality, taste, & presentation of everything was surprisingly good & exceeded our expectations You can sense that the owners are paying attention to details that are forgotten about in most other establishments Moreover by sitting at the bar we discovered that they have a great regard for mixology We tried their strawberry pisco sour which was one of the best renditions of my favorite (hard to find) cocktail I've had anywhere! Jackie our hostess & server along with her colleague (sorry forgot his name) couldn't have been more knowledgeable, gracious & accommodating It made for a lovely evening and fun 1st dining experience at B F&C We definitely plan to return to try their tasting menu in the future and highly recommend if you are looking for a place that packs a real punch above it's playing weight don't sleep on B F&C

The reviews are correct. Best fish and chips we've ever had. The chips (fries) were authentic and homemade unlike anything I've had since my mom made them almost 50 years ago.

Food was amazing, and the service terrific atmosphere was perfect. we had the crab tostone, ceviche, octopus dehydrated chimmichuri, and fish tacos all excellent. The chef visited our table, which was very nice. This place is a must!!!!

Ceviche was good, unfortunately the fish and chips were a disappointment. Rather the fish was disappointing. The filets weren't any larger than those at Arthur Treachers (currently). The fries were really good, but that wasn't why I came. At that price point, I had much higher expectations.

This is a hidden gem. The food was shockingly excellent. Had the Fish and Chips. It was light and Crispy moist Sea Bass inside crunchy shell. Great Fries. Great service. Very expensive Want to come back to try thr rest of the menu

Food is good. We have to wait for a long time for the food to come out. Service is good. This restaurant does not have enough people to work. They need more waiter or waitress. The same lady does the sitting, bartender and waitress as well. The dinner took 2 hours to finish. If you have the time to wait, then it may work for you.

I prefer the sit down Restaurant to take out ..... other than soup ..... this applies to any food .... The fish is always fresh and cooked nicely ..... I was surprised to find the dining room very welcoming modern clean and neat .... I was put off by the location .... But tried it anyway and was Very Pleasantly Surprised by the entire experience

Wowsa what a meal!!! Friends had posted beautiful pics of their meals from their tasting menu. It's cute: half the restaurant is a traditional dining room and the other is take out fish and chips. You can have a delicious meal a la carte or the tasting menu. I could not convince my husband to do the 15 course chef's tasting menu. But we did do the tasting menu with wine. Every dish was light, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. We enjoyed the wine pairings which were different (portuguese and spanish wines rounded out some American and South African wines). I am excited to come back to try more of their traditional menu and their namesake (fish and chips). Well worth a visit.

We totally enjoyed our fish fry. Light, crispy, tender, not greasy. I was prepared for the $32 price per plate. What pissed me off was getting charged a $12.60 "Service charge" on top of it, plus a tip. 2 fish N chips dinners. 2 unsweetened Ice Teas (no alcohol) was $103!!!! I am glad we tried someplace new, but I agree with other posters that the portion size was surprisingly small, and the service was so slow I could have finished my dinner before they brought ketchup for my chips, if I hadn't gotten up and asked a second time.

Great story. Lovely fish and chips with several white fish choices. And if you want to splurge go for dinner and tuck into their tasting menu. All their seafood dishes have been delicious

Incredible. My partner and I have had both the fish + chips (which are crunchy, crispy and fresh every time) as well as the chefs tasting menu and we were blown away. Elmer, the owner of this unsuspecting gem in Ossining, is an Artist. He clearly buys the highest quality ingredients, the freshest fish and curates creative, artful, unique and beautiful dishes. You can taste the love in his food. We suggest going earlier than we did for the tasting (we went at 8pm) since it is an entire explorative experience, you'll likely be there for at least 2.5 hours. We tasted 9 different fish dishes, 3 desserts and a silky pour over to end the evening. PERFECT date night spot. Side note: I can't believe people complain about the prices here ... the quality + care of the food he is serving is worth every penny. If you want cheap, go to Long John Silvers. If you want a true taste of what food has the potential to be, go to Brothers. You won't be disappointed.

Food is great! Considering everything is fried, it was not greasy etc. The service is great. People there are nice.

I sat at the bar and had a cocktail with a friend while waiting for our takeout food to be ready. The restaurant has a nice vibe but very small dining area and you must make reservations especially during dinner hours. It getsbusy but their food is very fresh and delicious. Their fried shrimp is my favorite. The margarita I had at the bar was the best margarita I ever enjoyed! Had a dried orange slice and was made to perfection. Go give it a try you won't be disappointed

I came here for the fish and chips. And I wasn't really impressed. The fish came out very dark and crispy, the cod fell apart once it was cut. And the fires were super mushy. Maybe it was an off night for this place. But I wouldn't come back here and order this again. They had other options on thereby that I'd rather try.

great little restaurant, Elmer is a fab chef, he takes fish and his ingredients serious, prices can be a bit high but what do you expect with the fluctuations in the fish market and quality fish prices, a real Gem in Ossining.

Where do I begin.... this hidden Gem should be more that 5 stars. The ambience of this restaurant is exceptional. As you walk in you pass the aromatic tower herb garden that the chef used to garnish and seasoned the food. We jammed to the melodic jazz music that serenades us by Bossa Nova Covers album. The server Jackie had such exceptional people skills. The Chef Elmer Olivers from Guatemala was such an authentic person who personally explained each course. I cannot wait to go back to this restaurant not only for the ambience, the chef, the delicious food, and the melodic music. I sure would give more than five stars if I could. Absolutely above and beyond! Don't be fooled by the location! The chef is doing something special and intimate here and we will be going back for years to come. Fish tacos, tuna with black rice appetizer, risotto with manchego and portabello. Fresh fresh fresh and beyond flavorful and delicious. It was our anniversary which I had mentioned in the open table reservation and when we walked in our table was showered in rose petals! And without asking they brought us a beautiful dessert of mango panacotta with Happy Anniversary spelled out on the plate in chocolate! Run to this place! And keep Going back. And/Or - head to the Ossining waterfront Friday nights for their food truck and live music!

What a surprise! When my daughter, friend and I saw the exterior we were a bit skeptical. Just go in! We were greeted and seated by Juan who took incredible care to offer suggestions for my daughter's allergies. I don't think I've had Fish & Chip OR tacos that tasty. The plantains were just the right texture, slightly caramelized. The portions are sizable making it easy to share. When I visit again, guaranteed it's on the must-do list.

Came here with the dudes for some apps one Thursday night. Tiny interior but still cozy, tho the AC was not on and it was one of those hazy evenings. The menu for the spring/summer is a little different than their take out menu but still has good eats. We tried the red and white sangria but I found both too be very sweet and a bit overpriced for the pour. Food wise, we had the side of rice and beans, vegetables and two apps of calamari and mussels. Rice and beans were kickin tasty as was the batter on the calamari. Mussels were in a very strange broth that had a ton of mint in it-- never had that before. While it wasnt bad, I would have preferred just good old white wine and garlic. I would come back to try some of their take out fish options, or if they bring back their original menu. Food is def on the pricer side as well, our bill came to over $80 for two simple sides, two apps and 2 drinks.

Chef Elmer is has boundless creativity and skill. Dining here is always a treat. The sold out crowds at this unassuming, almost hidden, location tell you how special it is. The food is always remarkably fresh and delicious.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! My husband and I went there for dinner to start our mini-honeymoon and the experience was perfect. We ordered their tasting menu: $100/person for 8+ courses (we lost count) and several drink pairings. All of the food was delicious and beautifully plated. The service was impeccable and made the night feel special. They also accommodated my dairy allergy without any issues. We have been to a variety of Michelin starred restaurants and the service and experience here was on par with many of them. For $100/person to have this level of service/food is insane. A real gem! Their a la carte menu also looked great and would provide great value of a regular night out. Thank you Brothers!

Words can not express the joy of eating at Brothers. It is a culinary wonder to be found in a little strip mall on the fringe of Ossining. The name does not conjure up the phenomenal food that one can encounter within. Everything on their menu is superb, BUT you MUST try their tasting menu. $130pp may seem steep but 3 of us shared the 6 savory courses and two desserts. This was our fourth time ordering this delight, and it has never been a repeat on any visit. Each course is delivered in a unique "setting" and explained by our wonderful waiter. Run, don't walk to Brothers.

This is a very special restaurant in a rather unassuming space. We were a party of six and opted for the multi-course tasting menu. Each was perfectly prepared and exquisitely presented, one course better than the next, with wonderful, complex flavor combinations. Chef and his staff were awesome as well. The best review that I could give is that I cannot wait to go back. Maybe next time I will try the eponymous fish and chips.
