"In Chatham, Stephanie Hart, owner of Brown Sugar Bakery, will expand her candy business, Brown Sugar Life Is Sweet, thanks to a $1.5 million grant from the Chicago Community Trust; Hart bought the Cupid Candies factory at 7637 S. Western Avenue in December 2020 and began selling sea salt caramels and chocolate turtles in January 2021. The grant will help refurbish the structurally needy building and provide space for Brown Sugar’s cake-baking operations as well, and Hart hopes construction will be finished by October." - Naomi Waxman

Brown Sugar Cookie Shop Maplewood NJ I am not from NJ but needed some cookie platters delivered to a friend’s home in Maplewood NJ. It was Labor Day - nothing was open and we needed the cookies delivered the next day. I took a gamble and emailed the Brown Sugar Cookie Shop. They answered back immediately and were INCREDIBLY accommodating and helpful! The cookies were delivered on time and, better yet, I heard they were delicious. It was a pleasure working with Tricia and I would do so again in a second.

Professional customer service and presentation were fabulous! I purchased it two days in a row. The first order was gifted to my school clerks, and they each thanked me for such a well-packed box of great-tasting cookies. After hearing his great the cookies tasted, I placed a second order .and Friend the scones. Very tasty, moist, and you taste every ingredient... I can't wait to taste the brownies in 2 weeks.
