This place is amazing! I love the prices of the food, the ambiance and that all the food is done fresh. You must try their sorrel and pastries, they are to die for. I also enjoyed their fish sandwich and even their bread is done in house. The fact that this place offers half off to recipients of food stamp in this community is superb. I will absolutely support this place!

Excellent! This is a cooking school fashioned as a urban restaurant. All the food is made fresh on the premises. The Cucumber Lemonade needs no sugar. It is perfect as is. The food is amazing with it's own originality. I had grits, scrambled eggs and turkey sausage and Cucumber Lemonade under $10. I have already invited friends to join me on a special group outing to eat here. The price is surprisingly affordable. What a special treat to have a quality eatery in the Brownsville community. Yes, I would conduct tiny meetings here. Yes, it is spacious and transparent. Yes, the sever is experienced with customer quality assurance. Yes, highly visible from the street. Yes, accessibility-friendly. I praise this resturant business school for being a service-to-others business model. Thank you.

Great place in the Brownsville community of Brooklyn for breakfast, lunch or afternoon delight. Staff includes students and interns of the culinary arts, food service and restaurant business. Their service is wonderful. The dining in experience was quite comfortable as we talked and worked with our laptops.

They messed up my order but I was fine with it! Everything I had was to die for,grits,biscuits, home made sausage, the hot sauces....etc....... list can go on. Everyone is nice!service is EXCELLENT YES the hood has it's own jewels too. Not to mention great coffee!!! I choose their coffee over Starbucks any day!!!

The space is well laid out and beautifully decorated. My food order (the big breakfast) was well cooked, arrived in good time and seasoned to perfection! I will definitely be back!

Cool event place. It's not to big or small. The outside should be updated to reflect the inside Also to help bring life back to a dry looking area.

I love this center, it's spacious,clean and everyone is friendly yet professional. I love that it's It's community based, all the programs are free and they are health focused. I just wish more people in the neighborhood would take advantage of these services.

Got to give it 5 stars got to love what this place is about, and represents it is trying to promote healthy eating and living with fresh food Great drinks healthy drinks, like Sorrel vegetable and fruit drinks A beautiful scenery nice place to sit down and relax. So basically trying to bring a better type of living two people in a low-income neighborhood prices are reasonable I love the police and the idea. I just hope people appreciated enough. And they make enough money to stay open...

I have not yet eaten here but I intend to soon! The menu looks great and they provide free culinary training to youth in the community. Hours are currently M-F from 7am-3pm. In their own words: "The BCCC neighborhood eatery and café are designed to provide a quality, comfortable dining experience for Brownsville residents. Our cuisine is inspired by the history of the African Diaspora; dishes are frequently prepared from produce grown in Brownsville. The eatery and the cafe is operated entirely by culinary-career training program participants under the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and General Manager. The BCCC offers a 50% discount for recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program."

I absolutely loved this place. Being from East NY Brooklyn it was great to see something like this in Brownsville. The place is set up on a very trendy way with a hipster vibe. It's very spacious and clean. To my understanding it's a non profit ran culinary arts program that plays a duel role as a restaurant . The chaos one is inspired by the African diaspora and the meal I had was absolutely delicious. I had the fish grits and greens. The combination of flavors were perfect and the fish was prepared wonderfully. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they all had a friendly attitude. All of the meals are very reasonably price and I believe they offer 50% discount to residents of the community that are on supplementary benefits. I think a place like this is a gem in this type of community. I believe that having beautiful spaces like this to eat and relax offer a new experience to people who may not be able to provide fine dining experiences outside of their community at the moment. I was very pleased with my experience and everything else about this place. I will definitely be returning and I hope to see more places like this in the future. One more thing they don't accept tips for personal gain. Any tips they receive go as a donation to the organization so tip well! Lol

I recently discovered it and I fell in love with it. It's just so beautiful and calm with great food and service. It's a great way to support the community by providing healthier options and opportunities for youth. If you feel like the prices are high, they give you 50% off a meal for showing your SNAP card (you don't need to swipe it or have any money in it). I hope more person come because it's worth going. Best falafels I have had so far.

I really can't big this place up enough. This is such a nice addition to Brownsville I really hope they do well and inspire other entrepreneurs to open up spaces like this in the neighborhood. This is the type of place that you would find Downtown Brooklyn or in Manhattan, but in this neighborhood it's a hidden gem. The food is fresh, the space is airy, eco-friendly and the menu is really something different. I feasted on the jerk chicken gyro and the fish & grits w/ collard greens. I am going to take it as far as to say that this was the best fish (whiting) and grits that I have ever had. This is a must try! The jerk chicken gyro was delicious as well. There were tons of flavor bursting out of the gyro and that is what I must say I enjoyed the most. The flavors are really pleasing to the palate to where you can taste every ingredient added. Another thing that I can thoroughly say that I respect about this place is the menu is very well priced and they have something extra for the community which really impressed me. That being said if you have SNAP benefits you can flash your Benefit card and get 50% off your meal. Whether that applies to you or not I greatly admire that they are still inviting people from the community to eat here at an extremely affordable price. They are not here to gentrify and push people out which is pretty incredible if you ask me. For my beverage I had the cucumber lemonade (very refreshing) and for dessert I had the raisin cookies (delicious). Overall this is a GREAT spot! If you're in the hood pass by!

Very nice place Brownsville needed this ,my daughter did a summer internship here and she loved it

I always eat here but recently the food has gotten bland. & today I found a half bottle cap embedded in my food, I am completely mortified. I would like to share a picture of this on here but I don't think yelp has that option here.

The food here is awesome! The service is great as well. I absolutely recommend this place to Everyone in NYC.
