"There are two reasons why you should make a reservation at Bruce & Son in Greenport: first, to get some food in your stomach before consuming any alcohol. And second, to mentally prepare yourself for a day of clinking glasses and hearing someone murder the pronunciation of “gewürztraminer.” If your ideal breakfast is actually dessert, their hotcakes are loaded up with peach butter, maple syrup, dried berries, and seeds for some crunch. For a more protein-forward meal, the egg sandwich has thick slabs of sugar bacon for the ultimate savory-sweet combo. If you have some time to kill between brunch and your first tasting, Main Street has lots of antique and gift shops prime for browsing.  " - anne cruz

"While there are only two tables on Bruce & Son’s covered front patio, these are the best seats in Greenport for people-watching, especially during brunch. There, on Main Street, you’ll see couples fresh off their boat, families pushing strollers, folks coming up from the Hamptons by way of Shelter Island, and lots of dogs. The all-day brunch menu leans hard on breakfast, with excellent hotcakes with fresh berries and a couple of heavier sandwiches like a BLT. The dining room has a clean, country look, with a few tables that you’ll need to reserve. Dinner is another solid time to stop by, when they do things like a burger on brioche with a punch of fresh mint and dill and a grilled cheese that’s beefed up with asparagus, fontina cheese, and peppery horseradish mayo." - sal vaglica

Google
The staff in here is very friendly and know so much about the history of the building and the neighborhood. We got some good go-to spots from our waiter. Food was very delicious

Elisa

Google
This was such a nice, comfortable spot and friendly with several staple brunch foods but with a more international take on several dishes. They also had an amazing and healthy drink menu. I especially enjoyed their candied bacon and saffron butter scone! The only cons were that service was a bit slow and it was difficult to accommodate a large party size but we did stop by, without reservation, at a prime Saturday time slot. I would definitely recommend and return!

Google
Ate here twice - the food and service were excellent. Chocolate chip scone & pumpkin butter were fab as was the sourdough and berry jam! Mixed berries were so fresh! Eggs were buttery but great.

Google
Found this place by mistake, and what a wonderful find! Apparently you need reservations, but i walked in to see if it was ok to dine with my pet bird, to which they said yes, and got sat right away! The staff was super friendly and helpful, fast, efficient and respectful! The food was amazing! I ordered the hot corn cake, which is similar to pancakes: absolutely loved it! Plus the truly have freshly squeeze orange juice! Highly recommend this place!

Google
Highly recommend this spot if you are in Greenport. Excellent food! I had the grilled gem lettuce with a sunny side egg on top - very good. Also had a bite of the chicken salad sandwich. Delicious! Will definitely go back.

Google
Very trendy restaurant, a lot of unusual but delicious menu items. We got the mushroom tartine and the egg sandwich. Both we spectacular. In addition, we got two iced matcha lattes with oat milk. They were very friendly and accommodating with the stroller. They had two outdoor seating tables but both were reserved; inside had a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Google
Fresh food, unique menu, potato-less, the crunch and presentation is amazing. Very helpful with the menu and made the entire experience efficient. A calm setting, made the whole meal enjoyable.

Google
I have to start with the 'brown sugar bacon'! Oh my goodness! It was BEYOND delicious! First time trying bacon with sugar and I must say I was delighted. I ordered the eggs Benedict, which was great. The sauce over the eggs helped amplify the dish and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The location is also super cute, supporting local artist by displaying their artwork throughout the restaurant. It was quiet and cute and close to the water. The staff was lovely, helpful and friendly.

Yelp
The staff was extremely kind. They found out it was my boyfriend's birthday and they made an extra effort to give us a better seat and they also surprised us with a candle!they were very attentive and nice. The food was also amazing.the menu is very simple but you can tell it is good quality. We hade a great time having breakfast!

Yelp
Exceptional brunch experience! Bruce & Son is aesthetically pleasing, uncluttered and welcoming. By recommendation of friends we split the hotcake (not to be missed!) enjoyed the BLT, and egg plate. The bacon was next level. I had the mushroom latte and it was delicious. Overall farm to table fresh vibes that come through with every bite.

Yelp
Simple menu with not so simple flavors, Bruce & Son rotates their menu and offers a variety of interesting breakfast and lunch items. With indoor and outdoor seating, the restaurant is lovely and offers fantastic window or fantastic views of the bustling town. Reservations are highly recommend, however the cancelation policy is extremely stiff. Charging $25 per person, you'd better make sure you make your reservation! They did text to confirm which I thought was a nice touch and our service once there was outstanding, friendly and pleasant!

Christina A.

Yelp
I have no idea how this place dropped to 3.7 stars. It's amazing. The service staff is the sweetest ever AND the food is amazing and creative and I love the drinks!!

Theresa S.

Yelp
What a great place for breakfast or brunch ! They prefer if you make a reservation as the restaurant is small with limited seating and with just a few tables outside. The menu is unique with a twist on some of the basic breakfast meals . The owner was so friendly and helpful. We did make a reservation and were immediately seated . I enjoyed the egg sandwich with cheese , sugar bacon , pickled onions and greens .. soooo delicious! The pickled onions added a fantastic layer of flavor to the sandwich and the bacon was nicely crisp. They have a variety of coffee's, lattes, juice , wines and cocktails. I did order a cup of coffee , it was a very small serving for $5 but was very good and full bodied . A little larger cup would have been appreciated. Hope to return soon !

Yelp
Came here because our original spot was fully booked and the host was kind enough to fit my group of 5, despite it being busy as well. Started off with an iced latte which was sooo good and then tried their mimosa, made with fresh squeezed orange juice which was a first for me. The BLT was a very generous portion but it was super delicious! Such a cute brunch spot for sure!

Alexandra L.

Yelp
The Quick: Innovative delicious food that will satisfy any adventurous eater. We always have an incredible meal- especially if you order the honey cakes .. so indulgent! I usually opt for something savory and try to split with the sweet goodness. Make reservations!

Laura P.

Yelp
Loved this place recommended by our Airbnb host. Great location in downtown Greenport. They squeezed us in since we didn't have a reservation. The service was friendly and attentive. Perfectly cooked eggs, fantastic sourdough toast, delicious mimosas that weren't too sweet. The butternut hotcake was like a dessert - so tasty! Charming yet modern decor. So glad we came.

Donna C.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING! We were in town for a wedding. Took a chance without a reservation for brunch and were able to sit at the breakfast bar in the back. Perfect! Lamb sandwich was quite possibly the best thing I've ever eaten - and I'm over 60! Even the coffee was perfect! I hope we have to return to Greenport so I can visit them again!!

Kendra B.

Yelp
This is an absolutely perfect restaurant for breakfast & lunch! Everything is a hit - from standbys like the egg sandwich to the seasonal items that rotate in on the menu, it's always impossible to pick because everything is so good. (The summer BLT was enormous! I ate it for two meals!) Do not miss the grilled romaine when it's on the menu in the summer. Also still thinking about the curried cauliflower dish w/ egg, pickled peppers, and labneh. Heaven. The mushroom latte is worth every penny, so warming and delicious. It's a small space, it gets busy, with a small staff and a tiny kitchen - so it's wise to make a reservation especially if you are a larger group, but also even if you are just two people. The staff is super kind and wants to be sure you have a great time. To those people complaining about staff and not having a reservation, I implore you to be kind/patient and understand this is a small business doing its best. It's not NYC and for that I am glad :) Can't wait to come back here next time I am in town!

S B.

Yelp
The best most innovative breakfast I have ever had! Second time here; had to make a reservation of course. Love love love the quality of food here.

Angel M.

Yelp
An upscale, local restaurant with good service and fresh, local food. We stopped in for breakfast and decided to have the BLT. It was massive and absolutely perfect. Toasted to perfection and with a spicy mayo that made for a wonderful flavor and crunch. Cold brew and cappuccino coffees were made to order and with all the artistry you would expect from a place like this. Delicious and fresh.

Michelle R.

Yelp
It took me a while to visit Bruce & Son because it's very pricey for brunch food and, as a matter of principle, I have a hard time justifying paying $10 for a scone. However... it turns out the $10 scone is nothing short of fantastic. Two words: BANANA BUTTER. I had similar reservations about the $9 Vietnamese egg coffee, but if you like Vietnamese coffee as much as I do, it's worth trying- intense and sweet with a really lovely frothy texture. This brings me to the $17 egg sandwich (brioche bun, folded omelette, gruyere, sugar bacon, pickled onion, baby arugula, dijonnaise). Having now eaten this thing multiple times, I feel it is my civic duty to tell you that this is the BEST egg sandwich I have ever had. I love a regular old $6 BEC as much as the next Long Island native, but this thing is on a whole different level. Every element of this sandwich, every taste and texture, stands out, yet it is all somehow perfectly balanced. It's a work of art. I cannot say enough good things about this sandwich. Just get it. The only thing I've had here that is less than five stars is the service and ambience. Both are just not quite on par with the food. The seating is poorly designed- hard and uncomfortable- and when it comes to service, well... this is the kind of place that charges you for a cup of hot water (which I found out because my friend likes to drink her water hot in the morning). However, it's possible to walk in and get takeout, and even in a to-go box, the food continues to be absolutely top notch.

Claire H.

Yelp
Great grilled cheese. A 5-star experience. I will be a regular patron. Great service and loved the open space.

Thomas L.

Yelp
The chef is an artist, he puts so much thought and care into each one of his dishes. We come every weekend. The fruit panzanella is amazing

Yelp
Amazing experience!! This place is very popular and gets packed so reservations are a must! Outdoors is dog friendly, food and drinks were amazing and service was awesome!! Our server Alexander was phenomenal super friendly and accommodating. Will be back!

Christine D.

Yelp
Great brunch spot, set in a chic setting. The chocolate scone with banana butter was out of this world! So good! The burger was almost a play on a Vietnamese sandwich which was amazing! All of the menu options seems to have a slit Asian twist on American classics. Can't wait to go back & try more! The service was great. We didn't have a reservation, which I would recommend, but were seated quickly.

Bella S.

Yelp
Had a fantastic brunch here! The food and drinks were spectacular, and our waiter did a fantastic job! He was super attentive and great at recommending items! first time here and will definitely be coming back! its awesome! worth every penny!

Yelp
MISERABLE HOST GREETING CUSTOMERS We walked in on a beautiful morning to almost all the tables being empty (meanwhile the restaurant across the street had a waiting list) The Host looked miserable and only asked if we had reservations(no good morning). We asked to sit near the windows to enjoy the sunlight but he stuck us in a corner due to reservations. The waitress was very nice. Food was good for a very limited menu but very overpriced and they don't have substitutions( for bread, cheese etc.. ). we left an hour later and those tables were still empty! Host didn't even say Thank you as we were leaving I regret not going somewhere else.

Josh F.

Yelp
Wow. That was the first thought that came to mind after our brunch experience at this North Folk Long Island breakfast only restaurant, recommended by Bon Appetit. Despite the long wait, complete with amazing service, this place accommodated our last minute choice for brunch, seating us at the chefs bar. The Michelin star contending chef creates a breakfast masterpiece, taking basic ingredients to stellar levels. I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich, while my wife enjoyed the hotcake. This was beyond the traditional. We were even hoping to return for a second round the following day, however our vacation pans didn't accommodate the dates. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant when visiting Greenport in the future and highly recommend you check this place out.

Yelp
We were out and about with some friends on our recent weekend stay out on the North Fork and were able to get reservations for a late breakfast for a table of four. Service came immediately and with it came a good explanation of the different specialty coffees they specialize in. The young gentleman who helped us in ordering recommended some great flavors and let us know what to expect as far as the effects of various drinks. Need energy or feeling stressed? They can provide a matcha latte that will fix you right up. Food was really good and they offer some unique tasting breakfast items that will surely fill you up. We ate our fill and then paid our tab very happy that we chose this terrific spot downtown. Parking is either on the street or muni-lots that won't cost an arm and a leg or you can walk a little farther and find some of the free spots available farther from the main drag. For sure we would come back and certainly recommend Bruce and Sons.

Stephanie K.

Yelp
I cannot say anything that would paint an accurate picture of the other worldly experience we had dining at Bruce & Son. They have gone above & beyond social distance & COVID 19 protocols. Of all dining experiences since last year, this felt by far the safest & most comfortable. Tables were spaced very far apart & there was no interactions between patrons. The staff was amazing & went above and beyond to accommodate us. My server was aware of my dietary restrictions & made great recommendations! She took the time to explain everything on the menu & make changes to what I chose! My significant other & I both commented on how pleasant & helpful our server was. Each item on the menu is thoughtfully crafted & unique. The Egg Sandwich was unlike any other we have had & we couldnt get enough. I can't for the life of me recall the name of what I ordered. It had hummus, feta, & the best roasted carrots I have ever had. Parking is available on the street and there is also a municipal lot within walking distance. We booked a reservation on the Resy site & communicated with the hostess via text. We were able to be accommodated early, just by texting back the confirmation we received. So simple! Keep in mind they do charge for late cancellations & no shows so you will need to have a valid CC on file with Resy. We are already planning our next trip to the North Fork, just so that we can enjoy brunch here! We can't stop talking about the Cardamom Cold Brew & regular Cold Brew!

Rob P.

Yelp
If you are a booshie Brooklynite or a sophisticated hipster this place is right up your ally. Don't get me wrong the breakfast was very good & had a nice twist like you'd expect from an upscale brunch like establishment but the prices are definitely in the Hampton/city range & the ambience is about the same. All in all it's good, limited menu, great fresh squeezed OJ but expensive.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Quaint place with a small menu. Food was great and the server was wonderful. Would have loved a few more options.

Christina V.

Yelp
Didn't sit in and took it to go bc they are always so busy. Menu was not very large but I ended up with the egg sandwich which was phenomenal !

Colleen K.

Yelp
Sorry it took so long to discover this place. Creative healthy menu, extremely delicious. Can't wait to go back. We had the breakfast sandwich and savory steel oats!

Scott K.

Yelp
Terrible customer service. Even though half the tables are empty they will not take you if you do not have a reservation. The staff acts like they are above you.

Megan C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my brunch at Bruce and Sons two weekends ago. I went with a big group of eleven people and service was pretty good all things considered. I ordered a hot matcha latte and I split the BLT and curried potatoes with my sister. The BLT was one of the best ones I had ever had. The sourdough was buttered and perfectly toasted. Some people weren't a fan of the sugared bacon, but I loved how sweet and crisp it was, but it was not overcooked. The tomato ratio was amazing. I don't normally like mayo, but the mayo-sauce was very good. The curried potatoes were really good. I would've opted for less sauce, had I known, but my sister really liked the amount. It was kind of pricey for the items, but I think it is worth it, especially since this place is not one I would go to regularly.

Karla S.

Yelp
i love the turmeric latte and the corn cakes. it's heaven. sugar bacon is always a hit also.

Paige J.

Yelp
You're crazy if you rate this place less than 5! Firstly, the general feel of this place is very farm to table and community, so if you aren't into that then this might not be a good option for you. It's kind of hippy or granola in that you can tell they are close to the Earth (if that makes sense). We made a reservation for 6 for brunch, they had our table ready and it was by the window and could not have been a better spot. The restaurant was well let and seemed very clean. Food we tried - Burger - juicy, cooked perfectly and fresh toppings. It's hard to mess up a burger, but this felt like it was real ground beef and real ingredients, which I really appreciated. Flourless Matcha Pancakes - if you dig Matcha (acquired taste) then you will love these. They supplied a healthy stack, more than enough to get a good sugar/carb buzz going. Benedict - a few people in our group got this and all said it was delicious. I didn't try the dish, but it looked beautiful and filling. Roasted Squashes - yes! Might sound like a weird breakfast, but it's served over toast and the sauce pairings are superb. I tried to get a dip in each sauce, the cheese, egg and squash so each bite was perfect. What a wholesome, awesome thing to eat for brunch. It kept me full for hours. Torta Cubana - this was the odd dish we ordered. It was a large sandwich, but didn't seem to have much else going on. My friend did enjoy it, but this isn't something I would have normally ordered. He's the least "farm to table snobby" so it suited him best. ;) Water - you don't get regular water you get mint, cucumber infused water. The boys didn't like it, but the girls found it refreshing. Just ask if you want regular tap and they'll bring it. Coffee - good and hot. Odd that it was served in clear glasses, but they are particular about the coffee they buy/serve so I felt like I was down to try the experience - which is what this place is all about. It's ok to be different and not serve coffee in a mug - there are no rules. Mimosas and drinks - yes, everything we tried was delicious! It's cool they are diverse in food options as well as drinks. We all tried one another's and every drink was refreshing and smooth. Staff - seemed to hustle and care about your experience. They are a bit laid back, so if you are on a time crunch just let the waiter/waitress know so they doesn't disappear for 15 mins while you're enjoying drinks and getting settled. Location - right in the heart of town - easy to walk to the ferry or train and right by some adorable shops. Can't say enough about the experience, can't wait to go back. Word of warning - if you are just a basic food person and want staple/Cisco foods this place might be too out there for you.

Erin S.

Yelp
This place is great - interesting food, good service. The seating is quite uncomfy and a little awkward but the space is great and the menu is fantastic. Good job people!

Matt K.

Yelp
Fantastic food! Service excellent. Loved the chocolate chip scone with banana butter and creative egg sandwich on brioche with sugar bacon!! Won't need lunch.

Olivia A.

Yelp
Service was top notch and the food was great, clean and fresh. They got us seated immediately and we're super responsive staff that indulged in my questions about the menu. Fair warning: if you don't eat gluten, this is not the place for you. We had the pea hummus toast with a friend egg (very light and fresh tasting), the ham toasty with fig jam (which was so, so good-- but a bit on the heavier side) and tried their seasonal toast with fresh red and pickled green strawberries (was good, but too much yogurt on the bread). Drinks- iced dirty chai was amazing and we gave their Vietnamese meringue coffee a shot, which was with the try and interesting-- but I don't think I'd be a return customer for that bevy. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Greenport!

Aina B.

Yelp
Stopped in for a little breakfast by myself, and was promptly seated at their lovely little makeshift outdoor dining area. The server wore a mask and brought a water carafe and glass for me to serve myself, a paper menu, a paper printout of their COVID procedures, and sterilized utensils. It felt as though the seating was far enough from the sidewalk that I wasn't overly concerned about passers by, and I felt that they were generally being very conscious of the safety of their clientele in their planning and protocols. The cardamom cold brew was refreshing, but the smoked mackerel smørrebrød (open-faced sandwich) was heavenly! Salty and rich and creamy in all the right ways, it was an herby taste of the sea. Piled on a hearty seeded bread slice was an herb cream, smoked mackerel, a gently boiled egg, thinly shaved celery, pickled onion, and a sprinkle of seaweed furikake. I enjoyed every bite and know they're changing their menu up a lot due to COVID, but hope this one will be a recurring sandwich, it was truly wonderful. Great service, great meal, laid back, safe vibes-- I was very happy

Juliana O.

Yelp
This review is only for the service to be fair but consider twice if you're thinking to spend your money that you earn with sweat in a place that don't want your business! I was so excited to drag along my husband and son for a Greenport trip from Manhattan. I made plans this is the place we're going to have for brunch. I came here myself to check in for a table for 3 while my husband and son stopped at the local toystore. I asked the receptionist (short & blonde) if they have table available for 3. She pointed out a table that's available and that she's going to give us.....then, wait for it....asks me to go outside and double check the menu posted outside and make sure this ""is what you're looking for." for real? Sounds to me as Asian: "This is an American cuisine place, make sure you want this food and not Chinese food!" I've lived in NYC for 10 years and my husband is a white guy and was born and raised in NYC. We NEVER came across anyone saying something like that as we come into a restaurant. This is New York, the Jews eat Chinese food; the Americans eat ramen; the Asians eat salami and lox unless this lady lives in a village of Greenport who never go out of her village but serving in her little fantasy restaurant. On top of that, who will not look on Yelp or Google and check prior to arrival at what the restaurant offers on their menu nowadays?! So my husband came in after that and asked her what's that about? Her reasoning was they have a lot of people come and get seated and find out that their menu is not what they're looking for! Please. If you read my review, you guys decide if it's the way to go to not go to your restaurant. PS: I did my search, the same lady actually claimed as one of the business owner whose name is KASSATA B. and treated customers very rude if you check all the negative reviews they got!

Dina R.

Yelp
Absolutely terrible service!! The host thinks he's above you!! The entire restaurant was empty and he wouldn't seat the four of us because we didn't have a reservation!! Relax it's breakfast!! He finally seated us in a corner when we asked him to sit by the window. The food was mediocre and way overpriced. He didn't even say good morning and not one thank you as we were leaving after spending $110 on breakfast. Don't go there, not worth it!!

Sara L.

Yelp
My husband and I were disappointed eating here yesterday. I never write reviews, but i had to on this experience. We have eaten here before and enjoyed it. The food was good but the pricing not so good. I ordered an tomato onion and cheese omelette. They charged $6.00 for cheese on an omelette, which usually comes with cheese, $6.00 for tomato, i guess the onion was included. $5.00 for a half cup of coffee. If they are not happy with your tip they will charge your credit card extra to their approval, Blatantly written on receipt. Last time for us! Shocked when they have a packed restaurant across the street which has great food and is always packed and less then half the price for a delicious full breakfast!

Stephan S.

Yelp
Went there for breakfast recently to try the place again. It was not since the before the pandemic that we had been there. Breakfast was decent (breakfast sandwich) but the hostess, Kassata, who happens to be the wife of the son of Bruce, Scott who is now the Chef, was not very friendly at all. Making us wait, asking us to move out of her way several times while we were waiting, and making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as if we were bothering her. Since the place was packed, may be she did not care if she offended her patrons, but still we thought this attitude we got from the wife of the owner was not acceptable and we will not go back.

Bill S.

Yelp
Bruce & Son, somehow Bruce sold the business to "son", there was no liquor license for our Sunday brunch. Entering the restaurant, it felt more Williamsburg than Greenport. Nice layout of the restaurant, we walked in with reservations (highly recommended) and was seated by the window. They have outdoor seating on the sidewalk but I'm never a fan of people walking in close proximity to your food & drinks. My wife is telling me her omelet was fresh, cooked to perfection and it sounds silly, but they way it was cooked made it 5 stars. They cooked the egg whites, folded in the salmon and then topped it off with capers. It wasn't all mixed together and served. Very impressive. My dish? Totally off the chain just on taste. I ordered the benedict. Two poached eggs on top of grilled ham and toasted ciabatta brad. It came with a tasty hollandaise sauce called ramp?! Insane.. Along with a side of as-per-agus, this was an incredible brunch dish. Now if I only had a bloody mary... The girl I grew up with in Brooklyn and her husband joined us. She says: Billy, I ordered too much brown sugar bacon, take some. Mmmm... bacon candy. Soooo good! I highly recommend Bruce & Son, hopefully they'll have their liquor license before the summer is over.

Edward S.

Yelp
Fair service/ food was "good" but overpriced. The marginal service by the waiters countered the decent quality of the food. Have been coming out here for years. The reservation fee of $25. is a unacceptable. Showed up at 0900 for breakfast. The waiter's attitude was " almost as if he didn't want to be there...". ( maybe he's not a morning person, but it's 9 AM,... just do do your job isn't too much to expect). Had to ask several times for a "coffee refill", and only by going up to the service area,...I would of poured it myself with greater expediency. Bruce and Sons is indicative of the GREAT NEED for a " good Greek Diner " in the area, and a restaurant / diner that opens at an earlier hour, not 9 AM. The cost of breakfast was NOT commensurate of the service or the mediocre quality food. POn a positive note: the pancake dish was good, hearty, full of grains. On a 1-10 scale it was an "8". The Greenport downtown area needs some competition. The waiters did NOT seem motivated by any degree. However, the greeter did meet us with a smile and sat us at a table.

Nick O.

Yelp
We had breakfast here about 11:00 a.m. on a Friday this month. No wait time. We thoroughly enjoyed it.  We had the hot cakes and The egg sandwich on brioche bun.  let me tell you, both were fantastic. The waitress was very friendly the place clean and nicely presented. I absolutely recommend this place as your go-to breakfast place in greenport. Oh and I had a raspberry lemonade .  One of the best drinks I've ever had! Also I totally disagree with the lady down below who said that the waitress told her to look at the menu because she was Asian lol Myself and my girlfriend sat down at the table and considered walking out because we couldn't find anything that we liked at first . but then we did find two options. Turned out to be incredible. So it entirely is possible that people would walk out of the restaurant because of the limited menu and it is better to take a look at the menu before you go in at any restaurant but we didn't. After all, it's a breakfast place, who would think about looking ahead at the menu to eat breakfast.

Yelp
Best BLT I've ever had! Great server! My family really enjoyed! A bit pricey but worth it!

Yelp
Came out to Greenport for a long weekend with my wife and decided to try Bruce&Son one morning for breakfast. The egg sandwich and cold brew were off the charts amazing! The meal was so delicious we can back a second day and had the smoke ham toastie. Again, our food was amazing and we luckily snuck in without a reservation. If you're out in Greenport, this is a MUST for breakfast!!

Yelp
Open for breakfast/brunch, this hip cafe sports a unique and delicious menu with creative hot & cold beverages as well. I had an iced chai coffee which I never usually order and it was great. The pea shoot /pickled mushroom and goat cheese rye bread open faced 'smorg-ga-bord' (sp) plate wasn't the first choice until I saw it pass by for another table. I changed my order and lucky for me. It was delicious, well balanced and beautiful to look at. (Normally I'm not a fan of rye bread but this one was nutty and a little sweeter.) The grilled lettuces were delicious and the poppy scone flakey & irresistible! MUST RESERVE ahead of time. Enjoy folks!!

Yelp
Foodie heaven for the brunch enthusiast! This is one of the best and most unique brunches I've had in a very long time. It's also great for those who have a gluten or dairy allergy, or are vegetarian/vegan! The coffee selection is plentiful (the have Vietnamese Egg Coffee!) I decided to go with a standard cappuccino with alternative milk (oat milk) and it was the fluffiest cappuccino ever. Several of my friends ordered a coffee and added CBD oil to it for an additional charge! There are also mimosas and other tasty looking alcoholic beverages available. For brunch, I ordered the flourless matcha pancakes: OMG! They were so fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Such a unique concept and great for those who are gluten and dairy free. I also had a side of the brown sugar bacon: WOW! It's literally like candy! The decor is adorable, a cross between rustic and beachy. The staff was so friendly and attentive throughout the meal. We didn't have trouble finding street parking on a Sunday morning at 10:30am! Prices are decent, you get what you pay for, and you are certainly getting quality here!

Yelp
Great food! Not such a fan of those "loud" types of places ... especially for brunch. But hey, if you don't mind loud music and not being able to hear yourself think then go for it. Everything we have ordered from here was excellent. The flavors and textures are on point. Being a very busy brunch place the food comes out in a relatively decent amount of time and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would have given 5 stars if the place wasn't so loud all the time.

Yelp
My favorite lunch spot in Greenport. They have a small menu, but what they make, they make well. Highly recommend the mushroom tartine, the grilled lettuces, the egg sandwich and the prosciutto, pressed melon and mozzarella on a croissant.

Yelp
I have to start with the 'brown sugar bacon'! Oh my! It was BEYOND delicious! First time trying bacon with sugar and I must say I was delighted. I ordered the eggs Benedict, which was really good. The sauce over the eggs helped amplify the dish. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The location is also super cute, supporting local artist by displaying their artwork throughout the restaurant. It was quiet and cute and close to the water. The staff was lovely, helpful and friendly.
