"Run by Chef David Castro Hussong, this spot is located on the Bruma winery property. Entirely outside, the lovely tree-covered space welcomes guests to take a seat at the oversized communal table or a few smaller tables flanking the sides. A contemporary menu echoes the casual setting. Starters like ceviche or cauliflower with mole are followed up by hearty main dishes like short rib with shiitake and noodles. The pizzas are a popular choice, and though far from traditional Italian, the Mexican spin (think tender beef birria with chile morita) are very successful. Don't sleep on dessert, especially the flaky banana tart that delivers on flavor and, like many other dishes, is sized for sharing." - Michelin Inspector

"It’s cool under the shade of low-hanging olive trees at chef David Castro Hussong’s raw bar. Located at the Bruma winery, the restaurant offers abundant seafood towers layered with local oysters, umami-rich blood clams, and cooked shrimp, all of which pair beautifully with a chilled bottle of Bruma’s rosé or fresh, mineral chardonnay. Long, sturdy communal tables leave plenty of room for wood-grilled pizza or raw trout tostadas dressed in a green sauce that tastes like Hussong’s garden. Stop by for brunch on Sundays for waffles or a croque madame, which oozes with enough creamy mornay sauce to last you through an afternoon wine tasting." - Bill Esparza

I took my wife for our anniversary. The place is gorgeous outdoors restaurant, chill place, food is fantastic! And dessert is simply the best I ever try. We try pizza, ceviche, guacamole and cheesecake. Don’t forget to take a picture behind the bar!

If you are looking for a great mid day dining experience this is a must visit. We had tostadas and fried fish/chicken today but have had pizza in the past. We haven’t had a bad bite to eat in two visits. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is casual but happy. When we were there it was a mixture of families, couples, a birthday party and what looked like a girls trip - all were well attended to just like the two of us. I also had a mocktail made with pineapple and coco cream that was delicious. Accessibility: you park across the street and have to cross a dry creek bed to get to the restaurant. There is a staircase down and up for you with handrails. Probably 6-10 steps each. I didn’t look around for other access points.

A pleasant, relaxing country side restaurant. Outdoor seating. Welcoming and attentive staff. Food is great, the menu is a bit limited though. Great view of the grapevines, countryside and mountains. Fresh air

Really disappointing experience. Bruma is basically it's an uber-pretentious wine compound with low quality products propped up by outstanding service and superficial beauty. "All show, no go" is what I'd call it. A glass of red blend is about $20, for example. You can get a similar quality bottle of red blend for $20 at any number of wineries in this area. They had some little pizzas that were equivalent in quality to local pizza chains in San Diego. If you're into pretty looking things that aren't actually good or special, this place is fine for you. Lots of cool places to take pictures

I dined here in December 2022. This is one of my favourite restaurants in the world. A beautiful setting, welcoming and attentive service, and some of the most delicious and creative dishes I've ever tasted. So so amazing.

This was quite possibly our favorite meal on a recent 3 day trip to Valle de Guadalupe. Absolutely gorgeous setting, magical at sunset. The squid and shrimp pizza was honestly one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The “broccoli guacamole” was surprisingly addictive. All the cocktails were fantastic. I wish I could give this place 6 stars!

This place was a major miss in terms of food, service and overall experience. That it's listed on the Michelin Guide is laughable. Here are the pros: Lovely setting. Good cocktails. That's it. Here are the cons: Pretty much everything. The service was downright bad. No one helped us during our entire meal, except the hostess who finally took our order after we sat waiting for 25 mins. The menu is limited. We tried the broccoli guac, roasted vegetables and pulled pork sandwich. This was some of the saltiest food I've tasted, and I love savory and salty flavors. We didn't finish anything we ordered even though we were starving. The long, family-style tables are a cute concept, but fall flat. you're sat so close to all the other diners that you can hear everything they're say (even things you don't want to hear). If you have a large group it might be better, but it's a terrible atmosphere for an intimate or romantic meal. I was excited to try this place, but it was unbelievably bad. With so many great restaurants in the Valle, I would skip this one and go somewhere else.

Our current favorite brunch/lunch spot in Valle. Nice ambience and great food. Make sure to try the ceviche, the broccoli fake guac, and the pizzas!
