B’s Kitchen

Lovely place for casual dining. They have a pizza oven which is the centerpiece of the restaurant. They are known for the pizzas. We enjoyed our drinks and pizzas. High quality ingredients. Service is attentive and helpful; she helped us with some recommendations. While delicious, the pizzas weren’t mind blowing. Didn’t really make us desire to go back. We are more thinner crust lovers so that could have also played a role here. So if you are a regular crust lovers this might be amazing for you. There were groups of people and families enjoying their dining experience. It is a good option to pop into in this neighborhood. Give it a try and enjoy!

Delicious wood-fired pizza and Italian dishes with a local twist—highly recommend! We had a fantastic meal here while staying in Princeville. The vibe is casual and welcoming, but the food is way above average—everything feels homemade and thoughtfully done. Started with the fried calamari, which was prepared more like a chicken cutlet—lightly breaded, crispy, and honestly one of the most creative takes on calamari I’ve had. The fresh garlic bread is exactly what you want it to be—crispy edges, soft middle, and packed with flavor of fresh garlic and herbs, straight out of the wood fired oven. For mains, we shared a few dishes: Pulled pork + pineapple pizza from the wood-fired oven—Hawaiian-inspired and super tasty. Crust was spot on. This was a daily special. Pesto gnocchi and rigatoni bolognese — both were rich, fresh, and comforting without being too heavy. The pesto gnocchi The lasagna was layered perfectly and felt like something you'd get at a family-run spot in Italy. Also tried the catch of the day sandwich (ours was sword fish) and it was fresh, simple, and really good. Cocktails were great too—well balanced and refreshing, not overly sweet. The server recommended an Italian mango soda with whipped cream - so good and unique! Service was friendly, and you could tell the staff cared about the food and the experience. Definitely a spot we'd come back to!

AMAZING! I wish I known about this place earlier in my travels. I got the garlic bread, pesto gnocchi & added chicken. It was phenomenal. I wanted to keep eating but I am full! I’ll be honest, this was BETTER than 1 Kitchen. Highly recommend.

Ah. Should've known this was gonna be a bullcrap experience. Host was on his phone, texting, not listening to us. Had to repeat ourselves. Gave us dirty water glasses with lipstick on them. Had to tell him to remove it and pour new one. The pizza was lukewarm, way lukewarm. Tried to ask if they could re fire but they said they would have to make another. So we took home four slices of cold pizza..rather nuke it at home anyway. Such a disappointment especially considering its right down the road from a top notch resort.

We walked in and the bartender and hostess were extremely nice, so we had high hopes. We placed a to go order and had drinks while we waited at the bar. But we got home and the bun on my chicken sandwich was totally burnt. Why wouldn’t you replace the bun? I’ve never had that happen before. It could have been a simple fix. Everything else food wise was mediocre.

We ate here on Monday evening and were less than impressed. Honestly nothing we ordered was good. Got one app, one salad, two entrees and spent over 130$ for mediocre food. Our server was just fine no complaints there, but there are way better options for food on the north shore than this place. We went to the one hotel for dinner the next night and paid the same amount for the best sushi I have ever had. Skip this one from a couple of locals opinion.

Allister makes fantastic drinks, the vibe is laid back, and the pizza is made to order, delish!! When I told the manager of a previously bad experience up the road, Julie went out of the way to assure she made up for it and left our night positive. Felt the love and the local vibe. Highly recommend

My husband and I had a delicious dinner. We ordered margaritas, Caesar salad, pasta, and a pizza. Everything was excellent, but the pizza was something special. The crust was fantastic and the sauce was awesome So, so good. Service was great, as was the atmosphere. A wonderful place to eat on the north shore!

We've been to Princeville-Hanalei a lot and B's is easily among the top places we dine for reliably good food, warm service and lovely atmosphere. The menu is burgers, pizza and pasta--but done very very well so I've never had nor heard of a bad experience. The food is solid and the space is large so they can accommodate a lot of walk ins and large parties.

Very nice ! Didn't expect such a beautiful, trendy spot on the other side of the front doors. We stopped in the night of the Night Market. We shared a delicious salad Godesss. Our Bespoke pizzas came out quickly and perfectly topped. So nice to have Athletic IPA on the menu for hoppy pairing of pizza without buzz. Fabulous service

Very busy evening and it took awhile to get seated. Split a burger which was tasty. Also got the garlic naan which was good. As long as you're patient, you will enjoy your time.

Our first visit with 6 people was disappointing, the service was slow, they lost our order, food okay. I found out from the manager Julie (or Julia) he was a new server, which explained the problems. The hamburger was was overcooked, the caesar salad with chicken is a small serving and nothing special. Our friends were happy with their pizza. On our second visit with 19 people, the service was FANTASTIC, and we ordered pizza, which was pretty good. I recommend the pizza. Others were happy with their various pastas. I had a Mai Tai and it was different than the usual, but really good and not sweet. Worth a try. Over all my impression is your server is key, it is easy to get in and a group of 6 or more you can make a reservation. They are so close to being a good restaurant, I hope they can up their game for everyone. The Princeville location is so convenient, I want this place to be successful, but I understand it is hard to get employees in Kauai. It is worth visiting, but with moderate expectations.

Ambiance, fine. Very uncomfortable chairs. Service...pretty slow, and it wasn't busy. Food, meh. I had a mahi mahi sandwich with pesto, pretty good, great french fries! Spouse had Lasagna, liked it. I tried it, needed seasoning or something, kind of bland. Other orders in our party were chicken sandwich, Ceasar with catch of the day, and the burger. None were very good according to our fellow diners. Overall, not bad, but wouldn't return unless there were no other options.

Fraud & Food Food was tasteless. Service mediocre at best. Manager was rude when we sent a flavorless salad back. The bill says it all. Trying to SCAM people with miscalculated estimated tips is FRAUD!

Pizza here was actually fantastic! The pasta we ordered was average, but I certainly go back for the pizza and a beer after a long day out having fun.

If you go: make a reservation, don't plan to arrive early and get a drink at the bar on a busy night, keep your fingers crossed that you get Natalie as your server. This past Sunday night was packed at B's and luckily we had a reservation. We arrived about 20 minutes early and the hostess agreed that getting a drink at the bar before our table was ready would be good. At the bar,we waited several minutes to be greeted. We could tell things were busy so we didn't mind. When the bartender finally came our way, I made the mistake(?) of saying that we were just getting a drink before our table was ready. That yielded many rude comments during our time at the bar. We tried to order easy drinks and agreed for our check right away to help her out, but unfortunately she didn't see it that way. I understand things get busy. I understand that customers wanting more than one drink are ideal. But neither is an excuse for rude comments. Once we got to our table, we had a lovely evening. Natalie was the best server we could ask for. We had the calamari, a (not-so) little gem salad, beef cheeks for him and pesto & burrata for me. I would've liked a little spice in my dish, but other than that everything was delicious. Including the sticky toffee bundle cake dessert.

B's Kitchen was a pleasant surprise during our last visit in July. As it was in very close proximity to where we were staying, we ended up here after a day of beach hopping and exploring the island. At first we thought maybe we were just really hungry, but by the end of the meal after having the tiramisu that was made at the table, we concluded the food was really that good. So good that we almost went back the next day but we had a full list of restaurants to visit so we ended up not making it back. That being said, this will be a spot for us to visit for every Kauai trip. Service was friendly and efficient, the restaurant has a really relaxing vibe with lots of open space and cute decor. Pros: Delicious pizza and desserts, friendly staff, cozy setting Cons: N/A

We were looking for hamburgers. This was the last place close to our resort. The hamburgers, fries and pizza were awesome and tasty. The service was exceptional. Thank you for making one of our last nights in Kauai memorable. Next time we are out here, this will definitely be one of our go to places.

Ordered the cheese pizza with the hot honey drizzle. Not very good. Overall it was just ok. Cool place on the inside, service was good and food was so so..

Great drinks and pizza! You gotta try their Macadamia Mai Tai, absolutely delicious! We ordered calamari and the BBQ chicken pizza (it did not disappoint). Great place, would come back.

The food was okay, but the menu is waaayyy overpriced for what you get. I'm not going to trash them though, the service was decent, we just won't be back. There are much better options to spend your money on than this place. It also took an hour to get our order, not something we appreciated with kids.

Ordered a medium done burger and it came out charred like cardboard--bun was soft & sovgy, inside condiments sparingly--only good part were the fries--bartender apologized said he'd give a discount but didn't want to get manager--discount was $5...was so hungry and took soggy bread off and ate hard burger--came and had indigestion and heartburn!! very bad experience!!

Excellent service from Allistar at the bar, and Cherie following up with me to get my credit card back to me while I traveled the islands. Food was delicious, and ambiance too notch! Nice work to the B's Kitchen!

The size of a small airplane hangar, this expansive Italian themed restaurant is decorated with wood, shiny surfaces and floor space. FCFS Resv. But apparently they take birthday parties. It's a great large space for an art gallery, although once an 8-top gets a few cocktails you'll need to shout to converse. The bar is center stage although the large open kitchen line also has counter seating to watch cooks do their magic or their fingers. Interesting Vintage Italian movie poster reproductions and decor placement. The service was stellar and products came out fast, but I mentally repositioned all posters while waiting for our meal. Looks like the trend of larger menus has been adjusted due to lack of skilled labor and housing. The menu, cocktails and wine list were recently revamped, so the fried calamari, wings and mozzarella sticks are out but prices increased. Pizza is their mainstay. We ordered mushroom with truffle seasoning of which there was a scant hint. I feel it needed a pinch of salt and crispier crust from the massive gas pizza oven. Their Roasted Beet Salad had a few bits of beet, nuts and Gorgonzola cheese and the tariff was questionable. Ahi Crudo was similar in the 5 slices of fish were a day old. I didn't stumble across any Marcona Almonds, but the dressing had a good viscosity sans the evidence of Sherry. Our partners had the Ribeye and Mahi which looked and tasted great. We shared the Ice Cream Brownie that was pretty awesome. Since they're one of many restaurants in pricy Princeville they may not be concerned about competition. However, If they could keep everything that simple and consistent (like that great efficient blond ponytailed server) they'll get more frequent/repeat business from us.

Long wait for a table on a Monday night, even though it didn't seem especially busy. Service was very friendly and welcoming but a bit slow. Prices were quite high for the caliber of courses. Caesar salad was just so so. Pizza was decent but a little bit doughy for me. Portion sizes were reasonable but I still left there hungry.

This is a photo update to my last review. Great place for a date night...even if that date is yourself!! Pack your patience, and grab a bottle of wine. Service is friendly but can sometimes be slow..this is a good time to remember you are on island time

Very surprised by the restaurant on the inside and ambience. Was impressed. Server was friendly, food was pretty good... fish sandwich was average, rigatoni was delicious, pizza was good.... Overall a good experience

The Fettuccine was gross! Looked like it was made ahead pasta overcooked the sauce was think like glue! Needed Garlic and Salt and Pepper! The chicken on top was a hunk! Not cut up and mixed in! Seemed old and could barely cut it with a knife!!! Garlic bread should have been called Garlic pizza! Lazy food just a fast food garbage food! Never coming back! Fresh sauce and noodles is not hard! Never recommend it! Way over priced for that kind of food! The waiter had the personality of a wet piece of bread'

We really enjoyed our dinner at B's Kitchen! The pizza was amazing , and my wife's salad was so fresh and delicious. This is a cute restaurant with very friendly staff! Highly recommend eating here if you're on the North Shore!

I love B's Kitchen and have from the first time I visited. I don't know what is with the bad reviews. I have always had excellent service, excellent food. Everyone is so friendly. I look forward to going there every time. Their Caesar salad is the best I've had on the island. My husband said he really loves the pizza. I love their steak and fries as well. Everything is just delightful. Recently they changed their menu to make it more mainstream . My favorites were still on the menu so no problem there for me. We come to Princeville every year for over 17 years. I don't recall when B 's first opened. But I was thrilled as the restaurant previously at this location I did not care for. I recommend this restaurant highly. The food is great and the atmosphere is charming.

What went well: The food and drinks were pretty delicious. What didn't: It took 20 minutes to get served water. It took 35 minutes until we ordered. The waiter gave us the wrong drink and then insisted we keep it after telling me that a martini and margarita are basically the same drink. We waited 90 minutes until we got our food (the restaurant wasn't slammed) All the tables near us were also disgruntled. We asked to order multiple times and were told to hold on. Every "hold on," felt like another 30 minutes. Cute place! Won't be back.

The man who sat us at our table this evening was not at ALL friendly, I would consider him to be arrogant. The waitress was very friendly but waited on a table first who were sat after us. The food was decent but overpriced. I ordered a chicken breast along with my salad & it had some sort of black product on it that I had to scrape off, nothing mentioned on the menu. When the man who sat us took my plate away I pointed to my napkin where the black stuff was scraped from the chicken & told him it was not good, he stuck his nose up & walked away. Disappointing not to even get an acknowledgment. He is in the wrong business, not a suitable personality to be in the food business.

We had exceptional service from John and an awesome meal at B's on our vacation. Our party got pasta, salad, burgers, cocktails, etc and everything was very good. The atmosphere inside is fantastic, really nice big, cute space and it's only of the only place we could find that has indoor seating. We would recommend to anyone try B's. Compared to the competition around, it was really great.

Loved the vibes and the pizzaioli is very talented some great pies coming out had a great night with the family!

Had dinner at B's Kitchen. We ordered the pesto gnocchi, kid's butter pasta and the burger. Portions were huge, and had to get boxes for leftovers. Our server and the host were very attentive, checking in on us frequently.

Nice ambiance with modern interior and spacious seating. The restaurant itself seemed incredibly over staffed. Our cocktails took almost 20 minutes to be served after we ordered them, which was perplexing given the amount of staff around and behind the bar (it was not a busy night). My burger was very thin, and lacked any true flavor. The pizza was delicious and had a great meat to cheese ratio. We have a party of 6 with no true standout dish.

Service was butt cheeks! Menu was very basic and mediocre food. It's giving an over priced BJs or chilis...the lady never came to check on us...and literally brought the appetizers when the main dishes came out. If your looking for basic mid food then go ahead and swing on over but id reccomend you skip

Tomatoes salad very fresh, crunch and soft calamari but very small portion. The fish was so good with white beans very good combination and crunchy cauliflower, I enjoyed so much. I like the way they're presented the tiramisu, love to watched. All the foods we ordered very good.

Excellent pizza! Spicy margarita and fish sandwich are fabulous. Would highly recommend this place if you're in Princeville.

We stayed in princeville and stopped in here to order a pizza and I had a beer at the bar while we waited. Bartenders very friendly. The bar and room look great. Solid pizza...cooked in a wood fired oven. Proper prep and good taste. Can't review beyond that. But if you want a good pizza and beer in princeville I recommend this spot.

We landed in Kauai tired and hungry. We did a search and decide on Italian. B's Kitchen was close and convenient to where we were staying and close to the grocery store. B's was packed and we had no reservation. The manager was very gracious and said she'd do her best to get our party of seven seat in 20 minute. We sat at the bar and had some cocktails and boom. Less than twenty minutes later she seats up. Food was on point. Goodness salad (shareable) was divine, fresh gnocchi with pesto and pistachio a delight and vegetarian for my wife. The pasta bolognese was al dente and delicious. Pizza built with homemade pizza dough and cooked in their authentic pizza oven. We will be going back.

Been here on the island and this was probably the best meal so far. All of the ingredients were fresh, the food was well prepared and the service was amazing. We had the table closest to the kitchen and got to see all of the food up close. We had the fried mozzarella as an appetizer, caprese salad and the pesto shrimp pasta. The servings were plentiful and very well plated. I feel the price to value was good. It is slightly higher than most places but the attention to detail and food quality made it worth it.

This place.. is SO GOOD! We were quoted 30 minutes for a table on a busy Saturday night- and we were seated right on time. Every single dish was ordered was amazing, and came out really quickly even though the restaurant seemed very busy. I can't even narrow down which entree was my favorite.. the Italian pizza was a good ole classic, the goddess was light and refreshing with all of the veggies & arugula and goat cheese, and the shrimp pesto pasta.. heavenly. The shrimp were huge, cooked perfectly and the pasta was cooked exactly to my liking! Will most definitely return to try the other menu items next time!

The pizza and pasta are good enough if you're really hungry. The kids' cheese pizza is so bad that it is basically inedible. The service is absolutely terrible. I cannot believe that the owners allow the subpar service to continue. We both dined in and took food out because the options are limited in Princeville. We stay in the area for a few months over the course of the year, but we will never eat here again. I hate posting bad reviews, but maybe someone at the restaurant will read this and improve the experience.

Ate here two years ago and had a much better experience than two days ago. Server was snarky/rude. He scoffed when we asked for extra Parmesan on the rigatoni. He pointed out there was already cheese on it. Dude you're in the wrong industry and restaurant genre if extra parm isn't your jam. The rigatoni was watery and had barely any "bolognese" on it. I asked for a gem salad. Was given a Caesar. They don't have a basic pepperoni (which is the only topping my boys like). Very odd to not have that: Decor is nice. But not enough to want to return. shame because we loved the food and server two years ago.

We arrived at 8 and were seated. We had ordered take out before, and the ambiance was nice so we had high hopes. After ordering drinks and appetizers, we were notified that half of the kitchen closed and they were only serving pizza or salad because they were slow.....they are only open 4 hours. We agreed to stay, but were disappointed. I wish we would have been told at the door. We received our undercooked pizza, and drinks. The lemonade tasted like it had alcohol or something in it and our alcoholic drinks were not done well. The waitress then proceeded to drop silverware into one of our alcoholic drinks and didn't offer us a new one or remove the drink from our bill that only had two sips taken from it. I think the staff was just ready to have the night off and go home, which I understand, we all sometimes feel that way, but it made for a not so great evening for us. We should have left, but there aren't many places around that are open that late. I wouldn't recommend.

We tried the goddess pizza and margarita pizza, in personal size. The quality and quantity were both good. The place is pretty spacious with nice ambiance and music. The only downside was lack of good drink options for non-alcoholic guests.

This place is disgusting and a disgrace to such a beautiful location and building. The ONLY reason anyone walks through the door and patronizes this establishment is due to the location and limited restaurants in Princeville. I've had better pizza at the gas station. It was barely edible and had no cheese. The crust is gross. The mozzarella sticks were only half cooked. The calamari had no flavor. Service was very slow and she barely came to our table. We left thirsty because we never got refills. We were never offered parm cheese. Owners and management should be ashamed of themselves. Take that menu and subpar food anywhere there is competition and you'll be closed in a month. $70 wasted. Felt sick afterwards too.

The food was delicious. So savory and didn't take long. We arrived right when they opened (530p) and were seated and eating right away. The service was awesome. We were pleased with everything that we went back the next day. Tons of parking and a great music selection also. If you're in the area and would like a nice affordable meal, stop here

I recently had the pleasure of dining at B's Kitchen, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with soft lighting and stylish decor that made us feel instantly at ease. The food was amazing , and delicious ! The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. Maurice, Natalie ! Are great staff members ! They would check in on us, and have great energy! 5 stars ! I would recommend this restaurant ! Mahalo !

This was the best food I had while staying in Kauai! Who knew, such amazing Italian food would be found in Hawaii? I ordered their pesto gnocchi and we got garlic bread as an appetizer. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere of the entire place was very relaxing. When being seated they even offered to seat us in the coolest spot of the restaurant as it was a pretty muggy day out.

The food was delicious! Ordered the pizza along with many other things and everything tasted like it was fresh. Natalie, catered to our family and was so sweet while consistently topping off all of our waters. We had multiple little ones with us and they all just catered to us making sure we were all comfortable. It was a cozy simple atmosphere and I would totally come back.

We roamed around the area and decided on this place which was about a 30 min wait for a table for four. We got sat by the door which was away from everyone else but was very close to the waiting area. It was a bit later so there wasn't a ton of people waiting. We ordered beers at the bar, apparently there were no local lagers but the cream ale was definitely a later. 4/5 - Caprese salad - great presentation and tasted good, it also had a pesto dipping sauce, really enjoyed this 2/5 - Pepperoni pizza - pretty standard, but was a bit undercooked in the middle 3/5 - Italian sausage pizza - came out burnt but they 1/5 Beyond meat burger- very dry and not good, the fries saved this dish, which were nice and crispy 4/5 - Pasta with vodka sauce and chicken - the best main dish we had Service was a bit slow as we had to ask for water since it was clear they weren't gonna offer us any, but they were also quite busy.

B's is only open 5-9 pm and simply can't get their act together. I understand staffing in Hanalei is tough - rents are high and there is a labor shortage. But dang.... Tonight was another disappointment. Poor service, manic staff, bartender hurls empties in the garbage, no olives for martinis, forgotten order, undercooked pizza sat under a heat lamp for 20 minutes, caesar salad appetizer arrived after the pizza and was warm with mushy stale croutons. Sitting at the chaotic bar was reminiscent working the scullery of a Navy ship. A promised comp for the salad was actually just a 10 percent "finds and family" discount. Wow. And we didn't even ask for a comp. B's needs to train their staff and get a qualified manager on site as well as a runner to keep food moving from the kitchen to the tables when the wait staff are busy.

We had a good meal at B's. Nice building and friendly staff. It wasn't crowded which was nice since we didn't have a reservation. I had a margarita pizza and hubby had a bucatini bolognese. We shared a Kauai Greens salad which was super fresh with yummy croutons! We both agreed the pizza was outstanding with perfect crust. Hubby liked his pasta, but said it lacked flavor which explains the 1 star demerit. Overall, we left happy and would definitely go back another time.
