Let’s Go On a Boba Tea Crawl Through Nashville | Eater Nashville

"Inside the Nashville Farmers’ Market, Anna Fields opened this spot after living and working in China for nearly a decade, bringing the flavors she loved there to downtown Nashville; we found that while traditional flavors like taro, matcha, and strawberry are reliable, it's worth venturing into seasonal offerings such as a peaches-and-cream version. Top your cup with a mochi donut (or two) before checking out the rest of the market." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Looking for a boba spot for awhile but stumbled on this one at the farmers market. The taro is amazing! I got 25% sweet and cold foam added at no additional cost. I think next time I would try a little sweeter, but it was still Yummy. They also have a huge size portion you can buy I’ve never seen before! Little keychains and pins available as well!

I decided to try a bubble tea after walking by this place several times in the farmers market. It was decent but not amazing. It definitely looked pretty that's for sure! The workers didn't appear very friendly, but maybe they were having a stressful day.

Just brought the mango cheesecake with regular boba for a sweet treat during lunch. It is very delicious drink. Hope to see it a part of the regular menu

Google
Our kids love boba tea, and had fun picking their drinks. We grown-ups enjoyed it as well. Easy to pick and choose, and to adjust to personal preferences--like size, level of sweetness, and preferred toppings.

Google
Their Thai tea was solid at 75% sweetness level however the boba was so soo bad - it was hard (it seemed like they prepared it in the morning and was left on the counter all day). And as I ordered it in the evening, it didn’t taste fresh. Maybe I’ll try them again someday during the first half of the day to see if they’re fresh. They’re conveniently located at the farmers market which has plenty of parking.

Google
Almost every week we stop in to check out the new seasonal flavors (I’ve been thinking about that Elf-nog all year) and get some matcha with lychee popping boba. The people who work here are always kind and friendly, the merch is adorable, and the branding is cheerful and fun. A bonus is that the acoustics in the breezeway of the main Nashville Farmers Market (where BubbleLove is located) are incredible, so my young singer/songwriter practices her singing and will often post reels on Insta, tagging her beloved Bubble Love. HIGHLY recommended by a couple of local gals. 🤩👏🧋

Google
The staff is super friendly and nice and they knew that I am from Taiwan so wanted to know my honest opinion from an insider about their boba tea so here you go. I ordered a jasmine green tea with aloe with no sugar. When there’s no sugar, creamer, or milk in the tea, the quality of the tea itself stands out, and this one is pretty legit, which means that they are using good tea leaves and brew the tea in the right way. Absolutely love the aloe. It has a hint of honey, which matches the jasmine green tea perfectly. My friend ordered a black tea with oat milk with regular boba. It is pretty decent as well. However, I would say that the only thing that would make it even better is the flavor and the texture of the boba. I personally feel like the boba can be just a little bit softer but more chewy, and it will be just perfect. And we prefer a boba with a hint of honey or brown sugar flavor in it just to make the flavor of the whole drink more 3-dimensional, but this is purely our personal preference. They make pretty cute and tasty Japanese mochi donuts as well, which the texture is a little more like Taiwanese 雞蛋糕 than mochi, but I kinda enjoy it lol! I am actually really impressed when they told me that they made the donuts themselves every morning. Great job! 不過以下也是純粹個人口味,覺得上面的糖霜有點偏甜,不過也可以理解,畢竟要符合美國人口味XD Overall, as a non-chain store, the drinks are food are surprisingly well made! These people do care!

Google
Bland, Flavorless, hard and stale boba. Felt like eating hard boba in an iced water. Why would you even try to sell such terrible drinks? I ordered Lychee, it didn't taste anything like a lychee. Paid $10 for a glass of water with hard boba and pretending that I drinking something worthy with a frown.

Yelp
I stopped by this boba spot for a mid-morning drink and after shopping in the store across from it. This spot was also inside the Nashville Farmer's Market so it's a good place to after walking around the park. The person taking my order was really friendly and sweet. She was the only person working that day and she had my order out quickly. I had the lychee fruit tea with regular boba and star jellies. The tea was good but nothing special. The boba was very good and had a perfect chewy texture. I think it's a little overpriced for the price and the size though.

Yelp
I visited the Nashville Farmers Market and was craving a drink so decided to stop at Bubble Love. Being from California, I wasn't expecting much from Nashville boba, but I thought it was actually decent. I got the Poppin' Fruit Punch where I got to choose 3 fruit tea flavors and it came with popping boba. My combination of fruit tea flavors was pretty decent and not overly sweet which I liked. My one negative was there was WAY too much popping boba. I felt like I was more eating popping boba than drinking a fruit tea drink. The service was pretty fast as there weren't that many people at the Farmers Market that day.

Yelp
Bubble Love is hands-down my favorite spot at the Farmers Market! I never miss a chance to stop by when I'm in the area, and it never disappoints. I usually go for the caramel latte bubble tea, but this time I tried the matcha strawberry bubble tea. The matcha was made with high-quality tea, and the strawberry milk seemed to have a hint of dried strawberry powder. The flavors are perfect together--the strawberry adds just the right amount of tartness and fruitiness to balance the matcha. It's visually beautiful, too! I also had a taste of my husband's Thai tea, which was just as delicious. The service is always quick and the team is very friendly. Overall, Bubble Love is a must-visit for any bubble tea lover!

Yelp
When in Nashville, you must try bubble love ! It's delicious milk tea , and you can not go wrong with taro and Thai tea. There's many options here and the decorations and theme of the bar was super cute and welcoming ! The service was great and the employees were fast and efficient!

Yelp
Bubble love is my go-to for boba while at the farmers market, or just about anytime. I enjoy their simple but ample option 1) choose your size , 2) choose your flavor, 3) choose your add in (first one is free) and 4) choose your sweetness. The last is my favors because I don't like my drink sweet and some places your can't customize this. Lavender milk tea is my favorite with boba and lychee jellies (which come in this cute star cute) I haven't strayed too far from that, but all the drinks I see coming out of the kitchen look delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Friendly service but drinks aren't worth the price. Drink quality wasn't very good. Thai is obviously made with powder which isn't good. The black milk tea said assam but had a weird after taste so I wasn't completely in love with it. Boba was just not good. Clearly old, left out. But maybe this was because we went towards closing like during the last hour.

Yelp
Ugh I had high hopes for Bubble Love as it is exciting to see more boba tea places, especially being in the Farmer's market. However, for the taste, quality of drink, and price, I was unsatisfied. I paid almost $10 for a large bubble tea, which is very high, so I'd expect good quality. I got the original milk tea and the first sip was promising but then afterwards, I could taste that it was extremely watered down. Sucks because there was potential for taste but being so watered down, it wiped out the flavor. As for the boba, the boba was hard and it was just not good. I think the boba was old/over a day old since the texture was not like the normal chewy fresh boba. Disappointed for the price point and watered drink with old boba.

Haylie B.

Yelp
This location sucks. I live in Franklin so I always go to the one in Franklin factory but this time I tried the farmers market location. I ordered a blended coconut smoothie with regular boba. It was way too icy and it was watered down. I came back for a new one and she said the policy is that they'd have to charge me, but I come here often and I know what that drink tastes like and it wasn't made correctly. I would've just made another drink instead of offering $2 off a $6 drink that I already paid $7 for. I'd be paying $11 for a small drink total because they messed it up. There was no line at all during this time.
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Ordered the strawberry milk tea which ended up being a mistake. It tasted like chapstick/wax, just really bad.
google avatar

Annie W.

Yelp
Was so excited when I found this place at the farmers market. There's not too many bubble tea places in Nashville yet, so being the huge Bubble tea lover that I am, i had to give it a try! The workers there were super friendly and offered recommendations on what to try and the bubble tea was ready in less than a few minutes after ordering. I got the brown sugar milk tea which was pretty good. Definitely not the best I've ever had but it definitely hit the craving!

Yelp
Absolute no care for customer satisfaction. Ordered a drink and did not like it after only two sips. Kindly told the girl at the register and the owner overheard and said they brew with jasmine that's why it was floral. Sorry about that. The cashier proceeded to ask what to do, and the OWNER said "charger her for a small but give her a large." Mind you, I already paid $8 for the first drink, she proceeded to have me pay for another drink and acted like giving me a large after charging me again, but for a small, was a favor. Absolute no care for customer satisfaction or customer service. Never coming back and telling all friends and family to not support this business. If you're reading this reviews, FIND ANOTHER BUSINESS WITH BETTER QUALITY DRINKS, SERVICE, for a better price.
google avatar

Nate M.

Yelp
Not the best experience and the reviews are right, this place is pricey. I needed a caffeine pick me up, but wasn't feeling any coffee. I bellied up to the boba bar at Bubble Love and asked which drinks have caffeine, to which I got a snicker and the response, "ugh, all of them" and a look like I was an idiot. Damn, This how we're starting?... ok! I ordered the Thai boba tea and asked for extra boba which was met with a stern "no", literally that was her response, then a pause, then "there's a boba shortage" Okay, well this was fun. I paid for the drink and went on my way. The drink was ok, but I couldn't shake the funky vibe this place left me with. I really love the farmers market and my family and I come here about once a month, but I don't think a Bubble Love stop will be in my future.

Ace A.

Yelp
the best bobba place ever love the lychee with lychee pearls I would suggest to go To the one in the factory which I got from but I loved it 5 stars
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Located inside the Nashville's farmer market. Mango boba is my favorite drink. Quality adequate for the price! Great customer service.
google avatar

Allison D.

Yelp
Not sure if I just came on a good day based off the reviews but I am picky about my matcha and had an awesome experience here. The person taking my order was nice and accommodating for me wanting to have the matcha (without normal creamer) and then add the cream foam on top. Highly recommend that combo. They also didn't put ice in it like I asked so it wasn't watered down and it came out perfect. Only reason it is 4 stars instead of 5 is based off the pricing and having to pay an extra $1 for "better matcha". The mochi donut was also yummy. Will definitely come back.
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
So yummy! Many options for tea. Both me & my kids love it. The Farmers Market location has free parking but it can be hard to find a spot on the weekends when it's busier. Love the photo spot they have set up! I had the pomegranate tea with mango popping boba.

Galia M.

Yelp
The best Boba in the city! They have a great selection of Boba and teas! The staff are always friendly and the service is quick. Located in Nashville Farmers Market it is a bustling place.
google avatar

Austin n.

Yelp
Poor service and terrible drinks. Honeydew is unsweetened and very watered down. The staff was very rude. The girl tried to get started on our drinks as we were ordering but was upset when she missed that they were to be blended. Then she was extra mad when we asked if there was sweetener or flavor we could add to the beverage.
google avatar

Sherry S.

Yelp
I had the Mango Bubble Tea and it was great. Service was friendly and they did a great job.
google avatar

Mike V.

Yelp
I didn't like this places product at all! The service was wonderful, but the Bubble tea tasted like crap and was more expensive than most
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Lots of different options very tasty workers were really nice definitely plan on going back would love to try everything.
google avatar

Kelsey E.

Yelp
The fruit tea was by far the worst boba I've ever had - we tried both the green apple and watermelon (which in hindsight maybe don't make the best tea flavors). But something was still off about the boba pearls themselves. An extra star for the fun giant boba statue though!
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
Delicious teas and treats. They are open during Covid - you must wear a mask in the food court. There are sparsely places tables now where you can sit. They moved into the spot where Butter Cake Babe used to be. Friendly staff. They sometimes can get swamped when it's busy but be patient with them, you are getting some great drinks. There are other boba places in town, and I love them all but if you're in the area give them a try - they are conveniently located.
google avatar

Karen L.

Yelp
Ehhhhhhhhhh kind of powdery and definitely over priced. I doubt we would get this again! Nashville hasn't really cracked the code on bubble tea yet, which is a shame cause we are a "real" city these days....
google avatar

Whobe Y.

Yelp
Kind of disappointed. As many people that were working today, no one seemed to have any pep in their step or friendly demeanor. The honeydew Boba tasted like milk with hint of honeydew. The pomegranate was just alright.
google avatar

Sean_Nancy O.

Yelp
Warm day at the farmers market? Stop in and get a bubble tea. Ordered the Almond Joy Bubble Tea. Almost tasted like an almond joy. But, still good. The staff was great and eager to guide you to a good bubble tea experience. Definitely a go back to place.
google avatar

Ellen O.

Yelp
Bubble Love is a great shop within the Nashville Farmer's Market! I love the Chai Milk Tea. Bicentennial State Park is right outside and a great place to enjoy a tea.
google avatar

Garrett L.

Yelp
Bubble love is a cute little spot instead the Germantown Farmers market. They have an arrangement of sweet, fruity, milky, and other teas that are to die for. Every one I've tried I've been impressed with. I'd highly recommend the Classic Milk tea (with or without the added sugar) and definitely including the boba it's the perfect drink to grab and walk around the farmers market and enjoy while you're perusing greenery!
google avatar

K L.

Yelp
First, the girl helping me was super nice! She gets 5 stars. All I wanted was a simple green tea with a little bit of honey added, with the tapioca bubbles. Not a choice. They didn't have green tea, only black tea. "The bubbles" were almost hard, and some stuck together. They had a variety of flavors, but not having green tea as an option, and the poor quality of the tapioca, really disappointed me. I am used to more authentic bubble tea from NY and sadly this didn't come close. Please keep trying though! This is a very unique option to have at the Farmers' Market!
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
With the lunch rush, coming in for just a boba tea helps you get in and out very quickly. Tons of tea or milk tea options. The tapioca pearls are cooked just right. I ordered the lychee tea which was good and refreshing for a hot summer day. Walking around the Bicentennial Park sipping on my Lychee tea made my midday the peak of the week.

Michele L.

Yelp
So glad I came across this spot while visiting the Nashville Farmers' Market. Boba had the perfect texture and getting my mango/peach tea half-sweet was so darn refreshing and tasty. I didn't get the girl's name that both took my order and made my drink, but she was super nice and knows what she's doing (not sure if she actually cooked the boba, but she did actually make the bevie). Oh! And she knows the perfect amount of ice to put in a large cup; it was juuust right. We're from out of state, but planning on returning to Nashville quite a bit in the near future. You best believe I snagged me a punch card!
google avatar

Ainsley E.

Yelp
Had some tasty taro milk tea from here. Boba was properly prepared. Quick and friendly service. Loved the golden maneki nekos -- they drew me in!!
google avatar

Ashlee Y.

Yelp
Bubble Love is the best! Their kumquat bubble tea is my favorite and look forward to getting it when we are in Nashville.

Karina P.

Yelp
100% Disappointed. Ordered two flavors of milk drinks: one tarp one chai. The liquid was so watered down the only thing that resembled taro was the color, but that should have been my first clue. I hoped the chai redeemed the experience. It didn't. It was genuinely bizarre because it too was so watered down but it was grainy? This review started with two stars but I just couldn't do it. No love to be had
google avatar

Tina L.

Yelp
I came from out of town and i found this place by doong a Google search and i am so happy! This is some of the best boba tea i have had ever. The service was fantastic too. And free parking! Delicious tea and will go back when i return.
google avatar

Juan F.

Yelp
Overprice half the of the cup was ice. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Go somewhere else.
google avatar

Naoko M.

Yelp
A bit pricey.... based on the flavor/tasting, I'd rank this place as the 3rd for boba tea places in the area. Steam boys is the #1. Royal boba is #2.
google avatar

Mai Y.

Yelp
Compare to other boba tea shop this place is least favorite boba tea . Tea taste like fake powder tea. I can't control the sweetness and boba is always hard.
google avatar

Torrie J.

Yelp
The tea wasn't sweet so I'd you want it to be on the sweeter side ask for double sweetness. Also the boba had no flavor. Was a little disappointed

Jade W.

Yelp
The matcha milk tea and chai milk tea were both extremely watered down. My boyfriend and i have been to dozens of boba shops, and have both decided that this was our least favorite of them all. There was absolutely no taste in either drink except in the tapioca. We actually went 10 steps around the corner to Green Asia just to get another boba drink because we disliked this one so much. Poor experience
google avatar

Jane D.

Yelp
Worst bubble tea...matcha tea tastes like water and slight taste of matcha that I paid extra for the more potent version. The bobas tastes bland, there's no sweetness.
google avatar

Suzan H.

Yelp
A very nice person waited on us. But, honestly, we won't be back any time soon. They only had black tea. Green tea is the tea boba tea is made of-why not have both. They had a lot of flavors. I like honey and a little sweetness-no flavor to ruin the taste of the tea. I got a small amount of flavoring-which was the right amount of sweetness, but really wasn't knocked over by the taste. It was also more expensive than many other places I've been. And if you know me-you know I've been to many around the country.
google avatar

Caterina I.

Yelp
Stopped by during lunch at the Farmer's Market. Every time I try a new boba shop, I always order classic milk tea to start. At $6 a cup, the price is pretty high, and unfortunately it wasn't quite worth it for me. Staff is very friendly, and flavor offerings are fair. There were even samples of a new seasonal flavor. However, the thing that was most disappointing to me was the fact that there were no other topping options besides tapioca boba. Also, they use the powder mixes for flavoring, which isn't uncommon with most boba shops, but the price is a bit steep for powder boba with no size or topping options. They do adjust sweetness level on request. As far as the taste goes, the classic milk tea was just ok. I didn't like the fact that they didn't flavor or sweeten the boba at all, so the tapioca bubbles had absolutely no taste to complement the chewy texture. Again, for the price and no other topping options, I was disappointed. Next time, I'll probably pass.
google avatar

Tracy T.

Yelp
$6 for a cup that I couldn't even finish was incredibly disappointing. I don't know if the owners or the employees have ever actually had good boba before, but this ain't it. You can't just Pinterest a milk tea boba recipe and then suddenly decide to open a boba shop. Not only was it extremely overpriced, but it completely lacked flavor in every sip. (FYI: boba ranges from $4-5 in most major cities for a size large. AKA you're getting ripped off here.) I've had boba in NYC, LA, SF, Houston, Atlanta, Dallas.... pretty much every city I have ever visited and this boba ranks as the worst I have ever tasted. The tapioca balls have ZERO flavor. It's literally just chewing on flavorless jelly. From my high school days of working in a boba shop, I remember we had to soak the boba in sugar water. Clearly, that was a step missed here. The consistency of the boba is good, not too soft and not too chewy. The black milk tea itself also was disgusting. The tea tasted burned and I don't think the right type of tea is used. I also don't think the right type of milk was used either, or the ratio was completely off because all I could taste was 2% milk and burnt water. I also got a hint of honey - which is really weird because I ordered a black milk tea, not a honey milk tea. TLDR; don't waste your money here. Nashville continues to disappoint me in their boba game, so I'll just wait until I move back home to Dallas to get my boba fix.
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
Wxpensive for tasteless tea. Coming from Los Angeles, I love love love boba and this place was extremely disappointing.
google avatar

Sarah Beth P.

Yelp
The bubble tea was great and the woman working was very friendly! It is a little more expensive than I would like to pay for Bubble tea, but it is consistent pricing with other bubble tea in the Nashville area. Overall really enjoyed the experience and will definitely go back again!
google avatar

Andy H.

Yelp
If you're a true bubble tea connoisseur, this place won't be for you. The boba is hard and not fresh, the flavor comes from powder, and the menu is limited. We ordered taro and coconut, and they didn't really resemble the tea drinks we're accustomed to having. Better off trying the places in Germantown.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Great tea! Me and my husband highly recommend, if you like bubble tea you won't be disappointed! Associate was very helpful in helping what to get.

Kendall D.

Yelp
The boba was hard and did not seem very fresh, service was nice, but prices are EXTREMELY high almost double what it would be somewhere with better boba.
