"Before we get into this, we need to have a moment of silence for the closure of the Oxford Circus Topshop. It’s where we, and countless others we’re sure, first tried Bubbleology. But it’s OK, because their Soho spot is still up and running. They’ve got milk teas, fruit teas, and specials including a peachberry that we drank more than water at one point in our lives. You can mix any fruit flavours, and as well as the aforementioned peachberry (white peach and raspberry), our go-to order is a mango and passion fruit fruit tea with tapioca and lychee boba. They also sell jars of fruit boba. There are some tables inside, but it’s a little dark and dungeon-y, so we’d recommend getting your tea to go." - Rianne Shlebak

"Bubbleology, a bubble tea chain hailing from London, closed the doors on its first and only New York outpost, according to EV Grieve. The shop first opened on East Seventh Street in 2019 and was known for its boozy bubble tea cocktails. The reason for the closure was not given." - Emma Orlow

"A bubble tea shop is opening at 120 1/2 First Ave., between Seventh Street and St. Mark’s Place, and it’s seeking a liquor license. Bubbleology Tea is a London-based brand that serves bubble tea cocktails alongside a regular boba tea menu." - Stefanie Tuder

Mixed opinion on this place. We tried the bubble waffle ice cream and was not impressed. The waffle was over-cooked/burned, not soft at all, and also not fresh, especially the chocolate one. Disappointing :( the gelato and toppings were good at least. The price is about typical if the quality was better. Surprised they didn't ask if we wanted drinks. Cool vibe and nice looking place though. It seems the effort went more into being instagramable.

I enjoyed my drink. The wait was not long. I look forward to trying some of their alcoholic teas in the future. I love how they are environmentally friend and have paper straws now. The shop is aesthetic and awesome for social media. This is a great place to have a drink or ice cream and chill. There are a good amount of seats and a comfortable couch.

Bubbleology makes bubble tea cocktails that are absolutely delightful! The concept is so fun, the drinks are always well mixed, and the combinations are really creative and delicious. I’ve visited on twice now and it didn’t disappoint either time. The Downtown Daquiberry was particularly fantastic with the blueberry/strawberry combination.

The interior is decorated quite nicely, and gives it a unique image compared to the usual bubble tea shop. The variety of items here is also unique, one can get the traditional teas but can also expand their choice to bubble waffle ice cream (six flavors) and even some alcoholic beverages (and some chicken wings for good measure). I ordered the strawberries and cream, and the creamy taste of it was certainly a delight.

Great place! Combinatorial bubble tea- they will make it exactly the way you want with no drama or complications. Adorable spot with very nice decor and decent seating. We got a few bubble teas and slushes and we’re quite happy, didn’t try the ice cream situation but that also seems pretty well handled.

Pretty cool bubble tea shop! They have all the standard flavors you might want (jasmine, passionfruit, etc.) but they also have more exotic mixes as well as cocktails and "shots" with bubbles in them. I ordered a jasmine milk tea and my friend ordered a rose milk tea, both were pretty good. I made the mistake of ordering mine with half sugar and it was even less sweet as expected, so that might be something to keep in mind - their bubble teas seem a little less sweet than other places in the city. I also ordered a bubble waffle and unfortunately they did not have any batter left. The employees were super nice and gave us some ice cream instead as we had already paid for the waffle. Decor is pretty nice as well. It has a very welcoming and modern vibe to it. They are also very "green" (the spoons and straws are all made of paper or wood instead of plastic) if that matters to you. Will definitely be back because of the great bubble tea and superb service!

I think this spot is just okay. It's a hip and trendy take on the bubble waffle cones with gelato and toppings. Definitely geared towards teens and college students. The bathrooms are clean and the staff is quick to take orders and make your food. If you're already in the area, stop in to try some gelato. Otherwise, you can probably skip this.

Location was very cute and trendy, the tea was delicious. Its neat that they had alcoholic versions as well! However the wait was crazy. Waiting 30+ min for a tea!
