Buca de Pepo in Minneapolis is an absolute gem! We went for a big family celebration, and it exceeded every expectation. The moment you walk in, you're hit with that fun, nostalgic Italian vibe—walls covered in quirky photos, checkered tablecloths, and the smell of fresh garlic bread wafting from the kitchen. It's like stepping into a lively Little Italy from the movies!
We ordered family-style (the only way to go here), and the portions are massive—perfect for sharing. The Chicken Parmigiana was crispy, cheesy perfection, the Spaghetti with giant meatballs had us fighting for seconds, and don't even get me started on the Baked Ziti—creamy, bubbly, and loaded with flavor. The garlic bread? Out of this world, and the tiramisu for dessert sealed the deal—rich, coffee-soaked heaven.
Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and kept the wine flowing without missing a beat. The atmosphere is loud, warm, and full of energy—ideal for groups, date nights, or pre-theater dinner (it's super close to the Orpheum). We left stuffed, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you're craving hearty, authentic-tasting Italian food in a fun setting, Buca de Pepo is a must-try. Easily 5 stars—highly recommend!
