The closure of the iconic diner, first reported by Atlanta Business Chronicle, follows the $6 million purchase of the property on which the restaurant resides by Trillium Management Inc." - Beth McKibben

"Buckhead Diner is everything you picture when you think of a classic diner, from the aluminum exterior to the bright neon signs, but without the harsh lighting and small, cramped booths. They serve some old school classics with modern twists, like a brisket and short rib burger and four cheese macaroni, in a more upscale space than you’d expect, with wooden (and more spacious) booths and white tablecloths. Get the famous meatloaf and a few desserts to share. photo credit: Caroline Clements" - Sarah Bailey

Go ahead and erase the word diner from the forefront of your mind. Only the exterior is the representation of what many consider a diner. However, it is an upscale diner-so remember that if you choose to visit. Parking can be tricky at peak times but there is also valet, I don’t believe they could take cards so bring cash. The atmosphere is dark and classy. I’m mostly a single diner, and they have nice seating for single diners. The unwritten dress code is business casual or nicer it seems. The actual waitress and bartender that served me were amiable. The hosts, on both occasions seemed a bit thrower off by me. I’m not sure if I was in the right spot for me. However, the food was pretty good. I’ve visited this place twice, not quite sure if I’d go back. Thank you for the great waitress and bartender!

Atlanta tradition! This well know diner has been serving the area for nearly 30 years. The service is always above par although there can be a wait at peak times. The atmosphere is elegant yet comfortable in a traditional diner style. It features all the diner fair that one would expect with an upscale presentation and delicious taste. Specials are often a good choice. Several local craft beers are served or your choice of cocktail. A favorite appetizer is the Warm Blue Cheese Chips. Are you kidding me with the White Chocolate Banana Cream pie, can't go wrong here, a must have! There is also a menu for the "Little Diner' " for age 12 and under. Local or a visitor you should try this place if you haven't.

Best Place we have ate in Atlanta . I had the Shimp and grits and i cant Express how wonderful this Dish is , my son and girlfriend had the Pan Fried chicken ( only available on Sunday and Wednesday) with Mac and cheese... they loved it ! My mouth is still watering thinking about how great the Shrimp and Grits are .

Food pretty good (salad was drowned in dressing), service unorganized. I ordered a milkshake that took forever, then they took it back because it wasn't made right, another 10 minutes went by - both the bartenders thought the other one made the new one...

Great dining experience. Excellent service staff, with a wonderful ambiance. I recommend going on Wednesday or Sunday for their fried chicken special. So delicious! However the sweet chili calamari is the best item on the menu!

Delicious food and great atmosphere. We ordered the wedge salad, crab cakes, and white chocolate banana creme pie and split. It was to die for.
