"Simply put, Buen Dia serves one of the region’s most delicious breakfasts. Be prepared for a wait, especially on weekends, but also be assured that the wait is worth it. Chilaquiles with fried eggs, breakfast burritos and tacos, tiras de chicharron (crispy pork belly strips with guacamole and salsa), molletes, tamales, and more grace the menu. The entometadas are superb (corn tortillas filled with cheese, special tomato sauce, cilantro, and more cheese paired with steak), and the sopita de fideo (tomato-based soup with noodles and chicken flautas garnished with sour cream, queso fresco, pickled jalapeños, and cilantro) is a must-order for those nursing a hangover, perfect given the Wilmington location’s proximity to UNC-Wilmington. We had such a great experience here! Our server, Alex J., was amazing—he went above and beyond to make our visit special. He even hand-squeezed the oranges for our mimosas, which were some of the best we’ve ever had. The food was delicious, and Alex guided us through the menu with great recommendations that did not disappoint. Excellent service, great atmosphere, and fantastic food—we’ll definitely be back!

Amazing place, staff was really friendly and their menu has a great selection of breakfast and lunch. Everything we ordered was wonderful. We did try their special coffee. It was surprising. They have a pancake station that my granddaughter liked. This will be our new breakfast spot.

Stopped here for breakfast on a whim, as I was craving something taco-ey, oniony, and cilantro-ey for breakfast. I got the birria bowl, and it did not disappoint! The avocado was so fresh and green, the perfect ripeness. The meat was so tender and flavorful. The rice, cheese, cilantro, and onion were all in perfectly reasonable ratios, although I like my toppings to be extra so next time I'll probably ask for double cilantro and onion. The decor is absolutely beautiful. Nice welcoming atmosphere, super comfortable lighting and seating.oh and the craziest part - the food came out less than 5 mins after we ordered. It was nuts in the best possible way. Our server was also such a sweetheart! Theres a full bar as well, although we didn't partake in alcoholic beverages on this visit. We live about 40 mins away in Bolivia, but we will definitely be back!

The traditional chilaquiles were quite delicious and brought back fond memories of my mother's cooking. The tamales were also enjoyable. The pancakes with lechera were absolutely amazing, and I would highly recommend them above all else 😋 😀

I have visited twice and have not been disappointed! I ordered the Borrachitos Buen Dia (pancakes with caramel, eggnog, and fresh fruit) on my first visit, and they were light, fluffy, and delicious. I ordered the American Skillet (bed of potatoes, with onions, peppers, and melted cheese, topped with 2 eggs any style) on my last visit and was also pleased. Portions are generous, and the fresh fruit was a nice touch. I ended up taking home more than I could eat in the restaurant! I also enjoyed the Cafe De Olla Artisanal (coffee, with a hint of cinnamon), and my dining partner raved about the freshly squeezed orange juice. Both entrees are pictured. I definitely recommend this establishment and their friendly and accommodating staff!

Awesome place!! I was researching good places to eat on our visit to Wilmington and this place wasn't even on my radar! But I'm so happy we found this place!!! The Chilaquiles! An absolute breakfast staple! I had a breakfast burrito with steak topped with green/ red and queso (the green sauce was king). My son got pancakes and fruit and as any two year old he didn't eat anything but the fruit! The waitress was so awesome! We kept needing extra things for our picky son and she was so nice!! We will be back!!
