King of Pops, Icing on the Cake, and Buenos Dias Cafe Food Carts Begin Operating in Decatur Georgia | Eater Atlanta

"Formerly a downtown Salvadorian restaurant run by Ken and Jeannette Katz, this business is launching its first mobile venture after operating a pop-up and other offshoots. A portion of the original menu is being carried over, including its popular pupusas and guava pastries, often paired with coffee and fresh-pressed juices. The food cart will operate at Harmony Park in the Oakhurst neighborhood, bringing familiar grab-and-go Salvadorian flavors to Decatur." - Beth McKibben

Really cute spot and a great addition to the neighborhood. The food was good and made from fresh ingredients. The staff is really welcoming and personable. Parking is free in the parking lot.

I LOVE these pupusas and I’m so happy they now have a brick and mortar to pick them up when I have a taste for them! I always get two—chicken and cheese and bean and cheese. I love the location. We need more healthy, homemade (non-fast food) options on the south side. These are a great hand held filling lunch option. You can’t beat the combo—1 pupusa, plantains, rice and beans and a tiny cup of slaw for $12.99 (I think). I also ordered the fresh pineapple juice for $5–which was an unexpected, refreshing option. The outdoor seating area is the perfect place to take a moment out of your day to slow down and savor the flavors. The adjacent bodega has a limited selection of odds—coffee, jellies, etc to explore and purchase while waiting for your food to be cooked to order.

Google
Rad grub, delicious drinks. Check out their IG for updates on hours. I got the Papusa of the day, and two drinks. Glad to have them tucked here in Sylvan Hills. I used to go to them when they were at The Met, stoked on this new spot too. Come try it out!

Google
Pupusas are amazing! Only outdoor seating at the moment. It was hot and took a while to get the food. Also, a bit pricier than I anticipated for what it is.

Google
$8 for a pupusa is crazy. There’s another pupusa place just 10 mins away and they’re $4 each. And it’s not because these are gigantic or anything, they’re normal size. And yes they’re good, but the gentrification of these prices isn’t worth it. And it’s not like the neighborhood they’re in justifies the crazy price. I don’t get it.

Google
I've had the Cafe con Leche, baconegg&cheese Papua and guava pastry all excellent!! I drive 30+ mins from stone mountain just for the Cafe con Leche. Seating is outside, just a great vibe. And the prices are right!

Ok. Yummy! Ahh the pupusas so good and delicious. Customer service is great. The food came out hot and was worth the short wait. Will come back again and again.

Google
Pupuseria! Wonderful flavors! Fresh and amazing guava pastries. I found this restaurant looking for pupusas and thought, "this is in the city it can't be that good". I decided to try it anyway based on the rating. I'm glad I did. The location is great! My toddler loved the rice and beans, I loved the pupusas and pastries and my husband enjoyed his vegetarian plate with an Horchata coffee. We'll be back real soon. 5 stars 😄 So happy we tried it

Yelp
Cute spot to try while on vacation. We always tend to gravitate towards the Latin coffee shops when we're out of town because that is something we don't have at home. The coffee was great and our Cuban breakfast was just delicious.

Yelp
Great bougie spot. Very pricey, but I love it. I always get the two tacos. Yes, it's just two. Like corn tacos so you know they are small. I add jalapenos and bacon. Boom $14 otherwise it's great. Call in your order so you don't have to wait. I've seen this little area change so much over the years.

Yelp
We ordered via Uber eats - I hadn't had pupusas before but these are delicious, especially with the red salsa they came with. The quinoa & beans and plantains were also really solid. The green avocado/tomatillo salsa was really salty but otherwise really good and very flavorful. Everything tasted fresh, and they were very nice on the phone (called me to let me know they were out of something).

Yelp
Y'ALL . I cannot recommend this freaking place enough. I've never been in person but I order it on DoorDash a little too much while I'm at work. I'm gonna try everything on the menu but today I had the breakfast nachos and the whole time I ate them I couldn't stop audibly saying "amazing!!". Also cafe con leche is to die for dude. Even when it's hot outside I need that hot drink and caffeine lol. Alllll the papusas are so freaking good. Also I'm gluten free and they have so many options. This place is lit I'm telling you. Thank you Buenos Dias Cafe y'all rock!

Yelp
This place is craaaaaaazy good. Always get Uber eats cause I'm scared of the pandemic but I'm SURE it would taste way better fresh and in person. As a vegetarian, there aren't many options in the city but this place is vegetarian/vegan friendly! Breakfast nachos are my absolute favorite and the pupusas are magic.

Yelp
one of the best local authentic papusa spots in atl. im telling you, try them for yourself.
