Best Restaurants for Korean Food and Barbecue in San Diego | Eater San Diego

"One of the first Korean barbecue restaurants in the area, this Clairemont Mesa establishment has been serving grilled meats since 2001. The broad menu caters to just about everyone, including from AYCE options, a la carte, and Korean stews. Most tables are set up with barbecue grills. There are three tiers for the AYCE with the top level offering New York strip steak and black tiger shrimp; each level also has a more wallet-friendly kids pricing for ages 10 and under. The a la carte menu features combo meals with quality meats like beef short rib filet, LA galbi, beef tongue, and black tiger shrimp. It’s also one of the only places in town with makgeolli (Korean rice wine) on draft." - Helen I. Hwang

Went for AYCE happy lunch set for $27pp and was not disappointed. The meat were of good quality and nicely marinated. Ordered assortment of beef and pork and everything came out quickly. I liked the bulgogi the best. The side dishes like spicy rice cake, steamed eggs, fish cake, mixed green salad were all good too! Staff were friendly and worked as efficiently as possible. Decor was simple but who cares? Hilight was the food.

Google
How much fun! Great selection of meats and sides, some you wouldn’t expect like tortillas, cheesy corn, cheese fondue and French fries. Try the brisket and spicy chicken, you won’t be disappointed. Pricing is reasonable for all you can eat, so come hungry and get your money’s worth.

KBBQ is a fun, flavorful experience—grilling your own meat right at the table. The marinated cuts are flavorful, the banchan sides are fresh, and it’s perfect for small or large groups. Come hungry, leave full. Not to mention unique sides like French fries and tortillas !

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a local Korean BBQ spot, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The quality of the meat stood out right away. Every cut we tried was fresh, tender, and flavorful. What I appreciated most was that the meat wasn’t overly seasoned, allowing the natural flavors to shine without being too salty or greasy, which is often a concern with BBQ. Each bite was rich but clean, making the entire meal feel satisfying rather than heavy. The service was also top-notch. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, ensuring our grill was always at the right temperature and offering helpful recommendations on how long to cook each type of meat. They were quick to refill side dishes and kept an eye on our drinks, making sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. Another plus was the variety of side dishes, which were fresh and complemented the meat perfectly without overpowering it. The kimchi, pickled radishes, and rice were the ideal accompaniments to balance the meal. Overall, this Korean BBQ offers not just great food but a memorable dining experience. It’s the perfect spot for a group meal or special occasion, and I’ll definitely be returning. If you’re looking for a place with excellent meat, attentive service, and a meal that won’t leave you feeling weighed down, this is a must-visit.

Google
Highly recommend getting the group meal because the quality of the meat is leaps and bounds better than the AYCE. The bonchon needs some work as they were disappointing compared to previous owners. If you want to order some other items: the japchae is the best we have had in town and we have been trying for years to find someone to make it as much as our aunt makes it at home. The mandu/dumplings are crispy. The corn cheese didn’t have much mayo or cheese.

Buga was one of the places I was one of the place I was most looking forward to when visiting San Diego. It’s so hard to find affordable KBBQ spots on the east coast so when I came across Buga and saw their prices, I thought it was too good to be true. When it comes to food, this place absolutely delivers. Some of the freshest brisket and pork belly I’ve ever had in KBBQ. We tried the beef belly, which not a lot of places offer around us, and we absolutely loved it. So deliciously fatty. Fat is flavor, y’all. I was so overwhelmed by all the banchan, or AYCE sides, options. You can never go wrong with kimchi, rice, tteokbokki, japchae and cheesy corn. These are must haves for me when it comes to KBBQ. You really cannot beat the price at this place. Our only critique is the service. It wasn’t really busy when we visited and at times it felt like we were forgotten about and for a place that isn’t so big, it was hard to track down our server. The food was good enough for me to come back despite the service being lackluster.

Google
Buga Korean BBQ Restaurant has the All You Can Eat BBQ Menu and also the A La Carte Menu. We went for option B of the AYCE menu. This restaurant is very modern, stylish decor, clean and large dining table and plenty of elbow spaces between your table mates. They have excellent air quality control equipment to remove the smoke and grease from grilling meats. A big plus! Restaurant has variety of side dishes which we liked. A lot of Korean BBQ restaurants have reduced the number of side dishes nowadays. We loved the meat quality and the steamed eggs were very well prepared. Also, loved their warm, steamed rice wrappers. The only thing we didn’t like was the tofu stew/soup which was salty and watered down. We will be back to try the a la carte dishes.

Google
Promo ongoing on the weekdays 11am-3p, $14.99 bone rib soup. The serving is really big. We also tried the hot stonr bibimbap that is served with house soup (seaweed soup). The seaweed soup is so good. We frequently try different korean restaurants, and we really like theirs. Japchae also comes in big serving, with a generous amount of beef.

Yelp
If I could, I'd give this place 10 stars out of 5!!! By far among one of the best KBBQ places we've been to! Service was efficient, marinated meats were seasoned well & balanced (not too strong, too salty etc), and asking for extra banchan was never a problem with staff. Usually AYCE means something has to be sorely lacking; in our first experience dining in, we didn't really observe any deficiencies at all (and would rather not find lol). You guys need to teach the Kbbq establishments in Chicago/suburbs a thing or three about service and food quality!! We will def be back again

Yelp
Parking: plenty of parking in the back. The lot only has one way in and one way out, so if you're going west from the freeway you're fine, but going east on Clairemont is a pain, as you have to cross the freeway then make a u-turn... Customer service: They were super attentive in the beginning, then towards the end we had to press the button a few times to flag someone down. But that's pretty normal as we wind down on orders. They did forget our waters a few times. Food: Delicious! Would recommend the beef bulgogi, thinly sliced pork, steamed egg, and Mac salad. The kimchi fried rice was plain and lacked flavor (which was surprising for a KBBQ restaurant).

Yelp
KBBQ is one of my favorite places to dine at when my friends are back in town. We typically eat at other establishments, but saw Buga so we decided to give it a try. As a party of 7, we typically expect a very long wait. However, we were seated 15 minutes after we arrived! :) The food was super tasty and came out so quickly. The sides all were perfectly seasoned & the meat portions and quality were amazing. We ordered from menu B (37.99) which also includes the selections for C. I will definitely be back to try Menu A. The service was great. We had about three staff on rotation taking care of us and constantly making sure our grill was clean. Lastly, but definitely most important for the ladies. The airflow in this restaurant is amazing. I left with no KBBQ smell in my hair or clothes. Definitely a nice end to my dinner here. Parking was pretty easy as well, if the main lot is full you can go near the hotel right next to it! I will be making this my go to KBBQ spot now and can't wait to try the lunch special deal I saw for the reopening!

Yelp
I had Buga several times three years ago and came back again for the first time since with my family. We were lucky enough to snag a room for our large party, although I definitely advise others to make a reservation! The quality of meat at Buga has since gone up and I enjoyed how tender and flavorful the meats were. Our server was very attentive and nice too!

Yelp
Checked this place out per a friend's recommendation and was so glad I did! They offer all-you-can-eat Korean bbq as well as individual entrees. Their weekday lunch special is $26.99 before 2:30pm with last call at 3:30pm. The restaurant is modern and upscale, and the service is friendly. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend checking them out!

Yelp
My second time here with first timers. I tried all new items. We ordered from the A la carte Menu. Banchans were served first and their kimchi was the favorite of our group. I liked the mushrooms too but didn't care too much for the other sides. I ordered the Seafood Pancake which included shrimp, mussels, clams, cheese, spring onion and egg. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it I ordered the Bulgogi Beef and Spicy Cold Noodle Combo. Beef came sizzling hot and the noodles beautifully arranged with a pair of scissors. I ordered this before (without the spicy sauce) and didn't know how to eat it. The server assisted by mixing it completely and then cut the noodles in quarters. Absolutely delicious and from now on I will always order it spicy. The sizzling bulgogi was perfect with the cold noodles . I ordered the mochi ice cream for my friends to try but nothing different than the ones you buy at the market except more expensive. But a good way to end a spicy yummy meal. My friends enjoyed the Rich Dish (looked like a salad with all the lettuce), Cabbage Beef Back Rib Soup and Vegetarian Jap chae, Everyone said they were willing to come back again which is great because I loved what I ordered. A nice touch is when you looked out the window you didn't see the street, It was blocked by a stone wall with pretty landscaping

Yelp
One of my favorite KBBQ spots with amazing parking!!! A few places that serve steamed egg with their Combinations. Pretty clean and delicious!

Yelp
Came back twice for last 2 months, they changed the AYCE lunch menu. Price increased and less selections. No kore pork jowl or beef finger meat at the lunch specials. Overall food quality is still good but not as good value as before. I really like their smoke/air control, one of the few KBBQ places you can come out not smelling fully like a walking bbq. Briskets are a little lean but at least slices are thick enough so it won't break down in crumbs while cooking. Beef belly's fat vs meat ratio is too high for me. Marinated beef belly helps with the marinade adding flavor to the fat. The sides are actual the stars for me: Spicy rice cakes, cook them at least 15 mins on the grill, love the chewy texture. Kimchi is well marinated and the cabbages are good quality slices Radish slices are well flavored Cheesy corn, kids loved them Place is clean, no oily flooring, Bathroom is exceptionally clean. Seating is comfortable. Service is friendly however sometimes takes time to get their attention and tend to miss a couple side orders. Overall I recommend this place especially during weekdays $26.99 lunchtime AYCE.

Yelp
Customer service has gone down since we last visited. The food was good but the service was terrible. We will be looking for a new Korean bbq spot.

Yelp
Crazy. First time I've ever ever expressed displeasure with a restaurant. Please do not stand behind a table pressuring them to leave 16min after you close. I understand wanting to leave but it literally would've been 5 more minutes, he literally had to eat 5 shrimp.

Yelp

Yelp
Buga stands out as the top Korean BBQ spot in San Diego, offering an unbeatable all-you-can-eat experience. The meat quality is exceptional, defying expectations for an unlimited option. Fresh, flavorful side dishes complement the main fare perfectly. Despite the Friday dinner rush, service remained swift and attentive. The restaurant's interior impresses with its cleanliness and appealing design. For those seeking the best K-BBQ in San Diego, Buga delivers on all fronts - quality, variety, ambiance, and service. It's a must-visit for BBQ enthusiasts and anyone looking for a memorable dining experience- trust me, I've dined at every single K-bbq restaurants lol.

Yelp
Came here yesterday for the first time on Fathers Day. I had a really great experience. The meats were really tender. The service was great and there was no wait, so we were seated really fast. The establishment is very spacious. Only downside was that a few meats were limited in terms of how many times you can order it but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed eating here.

Yelp
4.3 stars? Are y'all serious? So, I really don't know where to begin. Frankly, whatever training the servers and hosts receive is not nearly enough, especially for a Korean BBQ spot. So, we arrived at this place at 8 on a Saturday night, so we're expecting there to be a wait time. But to our surprise, no wait! They close at 10, so they have last seating at 9, and last call at 9:30, which is fine. However, the expectation when being sat an hour from last call would probably be for the server to warn you that last call is happening soon, so order what you can before they close! Yet somehow, this place defied all expectations. We finally order our meat and sides after being sat with no service for 15 minutes, so we've already lost some time before last call. We've all ordered waters, but considering the cups are the size of a child's sippy cup and that we had a long day at the beach, we were in need of a refill rather quickly. Thirsting for any sort of refreshment, it takes them another 10 minutes to ask us for another round of everything, which we promptly order. This time, the server we get is this assumingly sweet older woman who became a nagging ajumma, pressuring us to order before last call. But, surprise surprise, we need a grill change!! So, she then assumes we're idiots who don't know how KBBQ works. Worst part is that she nags us and laughs in our faces, saying that we ordered too much! Mind you, our party was all big guys, so we fully thought she was being blatantly rude to us. Just so passive aggressive and condescending. Readers: if you've been following along, you'll know it's time for last call already! So, after our grill is changed (which took longer than it needed to), we start cooking the last of our first round of meats, which is when we also order our last round of meats. And like the flash, ajumma comes back to give us our check, insisting we pay right now since their cashier is closing for the night. GIRL...it is 9:30! Keep in mind that we were actively grilling our meat as she was asking for payment, just such a nag. And when we ordered our last round of sides, they only gave us like half of them. I don't think customers like being rushed out of your restaurant, especially halfway through the meal. It wasn't even our fault that we were still cooking during last call, since the service in between meats and sides was so slow! Just a terrible service experience all around. But hey, at least the meat was adequate at best. Oh yeah, they should step up their kimchi game, that shit was weak af. TL;DR - Meat was edible, service was abysmal despite being well staffed. Steer clear of the older Korean woman. Honestly, just don't come.

Yelp
Buga is good! I always see it driving by but have never been. I was under the impression that it was way more expensive than the other KBBQ places. But it's totally worth it considering you'd pay the same amount for non AYCE elsewhere. We had menu C. $29.99 and stuck with brisket, bulgolgi, and pork belly. They have thinly sliced pork belly here which I prefer over the thick. It got nice and crispy. I also liked that they didn't just throw a bunch of random salad and banchan down that you might not want and you get to order it. There are so many sides too that come with it you can get like corn cheese, tofu stew, dumplings, steamed eggs, different veggies, butter!, kimchi, radish skins, japchae (so flavorful), etc. Service was good and wasn't too busy on a Saturday at lunch. Canned soda for $2.50 is kinda lame but everything else was really good.
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
I came here during dinner time on a Saturday which many Korean bbq places are usually packed with large groups of people waiting. Surprisingly this place didn't not have a line up and we were able to be seated very quickly. It's was still busy inside and almost all the tables were filled. What I really liked was that the food came quickly and the service was fast, friendly and efficient. They only serve 4 plates of protein each round and you can order more once you're done with that. That is pretty much standard from what I've seen at other bbq places. The meat was good, wasn't too hard nor overly salted. I gave it 4 stars because banchan is ordered a la carte along with the menu. More over they didn't' have fish cake barchan but they did have fish cake in the tteokbokki. I like the overall ambience and service of this place. It's better for smaller groups because it's less rowdy, and it's brightly lit inside.

Yelp
This is a review only for the ayce menu. I am not sure how the food is in regular menu. My fave ayce kbbq was not open so I decided to venture off and check out Buga. I had high hopes from yelp reviews but was left super disappointed. Whenever I try a new ayce place I always get the lowest $ menu first to see what quality and taste is like so at least I did not waste more money. I want to say the waitress was 5 star across. She was attentive and brought our every order fast. The food however just was not it. As soon as we sat down I was expecting banchan served. Sadly after going through menu, I realized regular banchan is not served with the ayce menu and it is only kimchi, radish wrap, fish cake, and salad. Usually there is bean sprouts, cucumbers, or some other veggie banchans. That is actually what I look forward to every time I go for KBBQ. Super let down I tried to ignore and let thr meat fill me up. I ordered the brisket, thin slice pork belly, and beef belly first. Everything was frozen and the brisket was SO TOUGH. Meat quality just was not there for me. Not at all like brisket I have had other places. The bulgolgi was decent and what we ate the most. I ended up eating more soup than anything else. My hubby ate the meat more since it was an almost $100 meal for us. Sadly this will be the last time we go. I suggest trying something on their regular menu and finding another place for ayce bbq.

Yelp
No bueno guys trust me I've been to many Korean bbq.bad kimchi, poor cut of meats servers walk around with no order nor efficiency

Yelp
Came here for dinner last night for our family date night. Walked in with no reservations. Tables were huge size which I appreciated. I hate dining at restaurants where you don't have enough room for all the banchan and meats. We were seated by our sweet server who gave us recommendations of which meat to try first. She quickly realized we loved all their marinated meat. We had multiple servers as they have to work in unison. There were times though where we had to ask for banchan refills. She brought us our banchan and we dived right into it before the meat even came. Huge fan of their Japchae noodles - so fresh and delicious. Love love their Eomuk Bokkeum (Stir-fried Fish Cake). I could eat a big bowl of this by itself. My daughter tasted it for the first time and she said it was weird. Then took another bite and said "hmmm weird" but kept eating more lol! Safe to say she loves it. And the pickled radish was so refreshing. Radish was thinly sliced and had a nice crunch to it. The cheese corn wasn't as tasty as I was hoping. The corn was a tad bit over cooked. Would definitely be back again.

Yelp
Prices have increased here for their AYCE but they also added more bonchon items so I understand. We got open B last time to get more variety of meat, but I thought the meat quality was okay. The service is terrible here though. The front desk lady looked annoyed the entire time and was rude even when she took our order. It also took 10 minutes to get our check even though we asked twice. Also sketch parking lot.
google avatar

Tan L.

Yelp
Delicious! the prices can be expensive for some meals but there are also some pretty good deals. the steamed egg here used to be pretty good but recently it's been tasting a little burnt, i think it's due to the pots being used. also the side dishes aren't as good and plenty as before but the quality is there. more traditional spot for sure and i would recommend getting the barbecue option there because the meat quality is good!
google avatar

Michelle F.

Yelp
It was my first time here. It was a full house but that didn't disrupt the quality or attention we received. I went with a large party and the staff was so accommodating and organized. The food was good too! There is plenty of parking and I would go back!
google avatar

Nancy Z.

Yelp
Heads up! Group of 6 or more is 20% tip (not 18% as listed on menu) I like this place because you don't have to wait long for a table and the meat variety is great! The corn cheese and salad are really good! It is AYCE (stands for All You Can Eat) but waiters will comment about how much you're ordering (that's fine with me as long as you keep the orders coming, thanks!!) Wish the tip requirement was clear and the service was friendlier but really just here for the corn cheese and meat
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Buga is a nice (ayce) kbbq spot off the main Convoy area which is nice because the wait times aren't as bad and parking is decent as they have their own lot. I arrived around 6:30 PM on a Friday night and was seated within 10 minutes but by the time I left around 8:00 PM it was kind of packed. My party went with menu B, which allowed us to get galbi & some other cuts of meat that make the additional $5 over menu C worth it. Service was so-so, and a big part of that is simply being understaffed. Each server had so many tables so I can understand why it may have been difficult to keep up. It took a while for our server to take our first order and even get the table set up. Then from rounds 3-5 our orders got mixed up with the surrounding tables so it would only be like 50% correct each time. Thankfully we had already tried most of the things we wanted to, but it was kind of annoying trying to guess what we were eating. Overall the meat quality was good and everything tasted delicious. They have a nice variety of meat and side options. Also their ventilation is good so I didn't walk out with smelly hair. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Came here on a friday for lunch, good amount of parking and was seated immediately. We opted for the $30 ayce, there was also a $35 and $41. i liked that they had different options for the budget. We mainly got brisket, bulgogi, and pork belly. The brisket was ok, but really thin and not super flavorful, and the garlic pork belly was good, but the bulgogi was the best. So flavorful! Enjoyed the sides as well. The daikon was a bit strong in vinegar, but loved the kimchi. Overall, good spot, service a little slow but it was only one person serving it seemed and she was very nice. Next time, I would probably upgrade to the $35 as it comes with short rib which looked good.

Yelp
DO NOT SPEND A DIME HERE ! Customer service is horrible & unwelcoming. I absolutely had to WALK OUT ! never again

Yelp
After a long day at the beach me and my friends decided on kbbq for dinner. We were super excited to try this place out, all the reviews sounded good, the food looked delicious and we got seated right away around 8 so that was nice. What could go wrong? We ordered our meat and sides so far everything's going good and we're grubbing, the foods delicious. Soon we're ready for another round of meats and sides as we've gone through the first set. We don't get serviced for about half an hour despite ringing the button twice to see if that would bring someone over and seeing most staff going around to other tables. After the second time we pushed the button some time after this worker comes up to service us, takes our order says we've ordered to much while laughing. Now it's around 9:30ish which makes last call, another worker comes around asking if we wanted any more meat since it's last call we say no. The lady comes back to bring us our meats and some (not all) of the sides we ordered which we decided not to bring up. She comes back a few minutes later while we're trying to cook our meats as fast as possible. and asks if we could pay now so they can close their registers which we do and then again to ask if we could sign while in the middle of cooking. The service was just not great which is so sad because the meat was great. But that experience really left us in a sour mood. It would've been nice to have gotten a heads up that maybe we wouldn't have gotten all the sides, we would've understood and been ok with that. Also had we have been serviced within reasonable time we wouldn't have to have felt like we were being rushed to get out.

Yelp
The food was good and it was reasonably priced. The service could be better. After the first course, my drink was empty and there was nothing left for my guest and I to cook. It took another several minutes for our server to notice that we were sitting idly waiting. We went early in the afternoon so we had no wait. The restaurant filled up as we were leaving. The place was moderately noisy as guests arrived. The good thing is this restaurant is off the beaten path so there is plenty of parking.
google avatar

Max F.

Yelp
I very much enjoyed dining in. The air inside was a bit thick, but that's not unexpected. Service was good, but mainly covering the essentials. The food was very good, but not great. Yet, a very good good enough that I will go back if again in the area. Their menu is quite comprehensive. So, you have a lot of options. Good prices. They got parking. Overall, a nice option if you are in the area!
google avatar

Brandon S.

Yelp
This place was awesome. Food was great, as was the atmosphere. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place. We got the lowest price all you can eat, and all of it was tasty, and we got more than enough food for about 30 bucks each.

Sarah K.

Yelp
I come here with my family All the time. I recommend you get the soy bean soup because it's super authentic, and the steamed egg is really good here too. I can tell that they cook it well. I also really like the cold noodles here too

Nao Y.

Yelp
Excellent customer service and quality of meat. They have great selections of side dishes, too. It was a pretty busy place, so you should make a reservation.
google avatar

Peter A.

Yelp
The food and drinks were great. Very accommodating for a large groups and reservations. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is after an hour it seemed like our food started coming out really slow and the servers stopped coming near us as much which also halted ordering food and drinks. Besides that it was much worth it!
google avatar

Sarah Y.

Yelp
rating: 3.5 stars parking: free and easy. the entrance can be confusing. make sure to enter through the Motel 6 sign area. price: ~ $30/person service: everyone was nice and they replaced our grills without asking wait: 0 mins on a Sunday afternoon main takeaway: pretty decent KBBQ spot. the meat isn't the highest quality and there aren't as many choices as other KBBQ spots, but if you're craving KBBQ and you don't want to wait, Buga is a good candidate.

Yelp
So disappointed in my experience for dinner here yesterday after seeing all of these amazing reviews. Came for the AYCE and ordered menu A around 5pm. We were one of two tables dining when we arrived. Towards the end of our dinner service, there were more tables but it wasn't full yet mid week. Things to note: service was beyond slow. You're allowed to order 4 meat options at a time, which is typical of other AYCE locations. Options 1 and 3 which were the tastiest options are only available once (it is written on the menu, but order accordingly). I don't mind semi slower service but twice, we cooked and ate all of our meat and the grill was empty for a solid 5-10 minutes before we were helped again. If you want lettuce wraps, it's an extra charge but you can order the salad as part of the AYCE. The corn cheese was a little burnt and the corn stuck to my teeth - I'd skip this unless you're really craving it. Overall, will not return with the handful of other (better) AYCE KBBQ options in town. There is plenty of parking though and the staff seemed nice enough.

Yelp
Good food! , very clean , staff were nice and attentive, I like selection of sides and even have tortillas which I thought was funny.

Yelp
The service was literally not like serving. My 3 person group and I were sat 8pm and by 9pm we were ready for 2nds. Mind you we pressed the buttons at table and for a good straight 30 minutes no one assisted us. By 9:30 one the servers came and optimistically aggressive told us that's we ordered too much, we need to wait longer for the grill change (as it was bubbling oil and flaming up) and she wrote down our next set of food as well as sides and continues to say it's too much food. She comes back and brings us 3 of the 6 sides and again continues to tell us it's too much and we need to wait longer for a grill change. The meat was good but service was not serving.

Yelp
Decided to try place cause of the reviews. They offered two food options. All you can eat menu and the authentic Korean food menu. We went with the all you can eat and the food options were delicious!! The meat had flavor and they made their own hot sause. We also ordered a whole bunch of sides to include kimchi fried rice, steamed egg, dumplings, and seafood pancake. All of them were amazing. The seafood pancake was a little pricey. Service was good and the place was spacious. Would I go back? Absolutely!!

Yelp
Great Korean restaurant, classic Korean barbecue, the food is really fresh and tasty, and the banchan is delicious.

Yelp
I didn't realize that the owner and menu of this restaurant has changed until today''s visit. I am a traditional Korean who likes more authentic Korean food such as fish soup, bento menu, bulgogi, variety of side dishes. Sadly it mainly serves meats and barbecue which typical Koreans usually eat for dinner. From now on since the limited menu for lunch including only meals with meats, I would not visit again except the case I have craving for meat. With $20 spent eating this ox soup, it is not a good choice.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday evening, waited about 20 minutes for a table for 2. Two of us shared the Budae Jeongol (Small) and it was definitely enough! Super generous with the sausage and vegetables. Love how the tofu soaks up the yummy spicy sour soup! Wish they would give more spam though. Service was really good even though they were so busy we still felt well taken care of & had everything we needed! :) The bbq smells so good, reliable Korean place!

Yelp
We came in and did the B option for AYCE. Got seated immediately which was nice and got our orders in right away. Overall the meat and side dishes were okay so I would give it a 6.5/10. The reason for my 2 stars is because of how bad the service was when it wasn't busy. All the waiters were nice but never once got our orders correctly.... It was always missing something and I have to ask it for it again.. but they would confirm and actually never go get it. Asked for water 3x and finally the 4th time it comes.... Literally all of them were sitting in the fridge and they just had to go grab it lol yeah wouldn't go back. Little pricey but we were okay with it, just not worth it overall especially after that service.

Yelp
Buga has affordable options and great service! Their menu includes 3 different all you can eat options. I did the lowest, cheapest level and was very happy with the protein options. I also ordered salad, dumplings, rice, and rice paper for the sides. This went perfectly with the appetizers they also served. The waiters were very attentive by either cleaning our burner, helping bring new plates, and cleaning up the old ones. With a group of 2 we were allowed to order 3 plate options at a time. Overall a great, cheap options for kbbq!

Yelp
Do not come here, there's much better options. My party and I waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. At the time we came, the restaurant wasn't packed. Our side dishes weren't served until after our main courses were, along with our water cups. We attempted to wave down any server, but all of them were inattentive. The food came out and the yook gye jang was extremely watered down and had a foul tangy taste to it. The cold noodles' noodles were stuck together and impossible to pull apart and the soup was essentially flavorless. It had a foul sweat smell as well. The meat was good, but nothing special. Very Americanized. Their free mochi for writing a yelp review was gross. It wasn't chewy and soft and chalky. I typically love mochi, but I spit this one out. Their menu is overpriced for what they serve. Come here within your own means.

Yelp
Experiencias was good, nice time to spend with friends and family. Love the meat menu and the shrimp. Sapporo beer premium is the best. Service was ok !

Yelp
Approved by my Korean extended family!! I've been here multiple times because this is the one Korean restaurant my parents, aunts, and uncles all love the most in Convoy! Our favorites: -Yookejang 유개장: my favorite soup here, hearty and flavorful here with SO many veggies and noodles in the soup -Galbi "lunchbox": comes with galbi, salad, miso soup, dumplings, and side dishes -Cold noodles: a classic to go with your galbi or other bbq order

Yelp
This place was really good but they could have been more attentive. The table had a button to push to call for help but even after pushing the button we had to wait pretty long before anyone showed up. Maybe they are short staffed. The food was good. We opted for menu B. We felt it was a good happy medium between too many options and not enough options. The portion sizes were great! Nice and small which gave us the opportunity to try more types of meats. I'd give this place a second chance because it was good but hopefully next time they have the right amount of staff to accommodate their restaurant.

Yelp
Opted for the AYCE kbbq #C for $29.99. Food was delicious. Service was attentive and quick as orders came out fast. You are able to order 3 meats at a time. They had rice paper and daikon which are necessary when I eat kbbq. Overall, no complaints and I wish I had the ability to eat more because it was so good.

Yelp
Excellent service and food quality. If you want AYCE, you have the option. Personally I prefer the al-carte menu since the taste is better.
