A must-visit spot in Hanoi if you’re looking for exceptional Bun Cha. This is a small, no-frills eatery with just a couple of long tables, but don’t let its size fool you — the food more than makes up for it. I’ve tried Bun Cha at several places around Hanoi, and this one truly stands out. In fact, I went there twice, which says a lot. The grilled pork is incredibly flavorful, perfectly charred, and juicy every single time. The dipping sauce is rich yet well balanced, the noodles are fresh, and the portion size is generous, making it great value for money. Everything is served hot and freshly prepared, and you can really taste the care that goes into each plate. The atmosphere is simple, local, and authentic — exactly the kind of place you’d expect to find some of the best Bun Cha in the city. If you’re visiting Hanoi and want to experience Bun Cha the way locals do, this spot is absolutely worth seeking out. Highly, highly recommended.

The Bun Cha is excellent and certainly lives up to its Michelin Guide recognition. The grilled pork is expertly marinated with lemongrass (香矛) and spices, yielding a tender flavor that complements the fresh, mildly sweet dipping broth. The traditional spring rolls were perfectly crispy. While the crab spring rolls were pleasant, they did have a slight fishy aftertaste. We visited at 2:30 PM and found the restaurant uncrowded with no queue required. A notable drawback is that the upstairs dining area can be warm due to limited air conditioning. Overall, this restaurant is definitely worth the visit.

One of the best Vietnamese meals I’ve had in Hanoi. The taste is extremely authentic, and the menu is something you rarely (or never) see outside Vietnam. The beauty of bún chả here is that you can adjust the flavors yourself—adding chili, garlic, and other sauces—just like locals do. The rice noodles are excellent, the soup has a very unique and memorable flavor, and the grilled pork is incredibly juicy and flavorful. The fresh vegetables are a real highlight too—the herbs are so fragrant that when everything is mixed together, the result is perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying. So good that I have to come back again before leaving Hanoi. I ordered Set 1, which includes: • Rice noodles • Soup with grilled pork • Spring rolls The spring rolls are also very tasty and a great complement to the main dish. That’s it — simple, authentic, and absolutely worth a visit when you’re in Hanoi 🇻🇳🍜

The food is ok for the quality BUT… Service and staff attitude were horrible. When the serve send the soup , can see his both finger nail into my soup. Wanted to tell him off the hygiene way of serving food but maybe not a culture here in F&B. The meat roasted till perfectly nice and can taste the char. Cleanliness of the restaurant was soo bad. Can see dust everywhere and smell strong vinegar. Asked is went up first floor but have to remove the shoes and outside the room sooo sticky and thick layers of grease and mud. 🤢. Inside the first floor dining room is same smelly and dust everywhere. No local and full with foreigner tourist with tour guide. 80k VND for simple Bun Chan. Tried and never will come back and intro to anyone. Avoid at all cost. Lastly, when we forgot our food order bill after out and put back our shoes. Saw the staff about to enter the dining room with just her slipper. she told is take off our shoes again and get it ourselves the food order slip before payment. Customer service was absolutely ZERO in this restaurant. 😵. No need add spring roll as portion quote huge and not worth the extra for 2 tiny rolls.

Their bún chả was truly authentic — the flavors exploded with every sip, and the vegetables were fresh and generously served. However, the overall ambiance held the experience back. The floor and tables felt sticky, as if they weren’t cleaned thoroughly, and the place was a bit dim, which affected the mood. Nevertheless, the food itself was memorable. I just hope they can improve the cleanliness and atmosphere, because the flavors really deserve a better setting.

The Buncha was the first meal I had in Vietnam. Such a delectable start to my restaurant hopping. I really savoured the broth and the succulent pork. Garnishings added a little something extra, but I wouldn’t have missed them considering how flavourful it was. Edit: After 5 days of eating at highly recommended restaurants we are back here again! Definitely my top pick so far

Very delicious Bun Cha. The restaurant outlook may look small but I think they occupy the whole building. We climbed 3 floors to get our seats. The grilled pork and sausages are delicious. The hot chocolate is topped off with egg form making it unique but too sweet for my liking. We enjoyed the food very much both kids and adults. A lot of customers in store as well. Must be good!

Our first time trying Bun cha in Hanoi, but not our favourite. The broth was super sweet and compared to others we tried, not our favourite. The meat had a lovely charcoal taste and that was the star of the meal. Staff were quite rude and uninterested (and also worked bare foot and in pyjamas which was weird) but still explained how to eat the meal. Atmosphere was cool, busy with locals and tourists. Be preapred to take off your shoes :)
