"Middle Brow (one of our favorite pizza spots) now makes bagels under the alias of Beachwater Bagels. And despite looking like they were thrown into a volcano, the bagels are excellent. The tangy sourdough bagels’ alarmingly charred crust contrasts nicely with the spongy interior. They're only available on Saturday mornings and come as plain, cinnamon, or the everything-like seeds—the most flavorful of the trio. "Consistently delivering quality with its beer, food, and wines since the Logan Square brewpub debuted in 2019, this long, narrow, comfy space has become a community beacon with pastries and coffee in the morning, easy-drinking beers all day, and pizza at night. "Middle Brow is a cute brewpub in Logan Square with a short menu of mainly pizza and toasts. And their pies are fantastic, with a delicious and chewy hand-tossed crust with a puffy, bubbled edge. There are a few to choose from, but our favorites are the margherita, pepperoni, and sausage with green olives. All have just the right amount of fresh mozzarella and a slightly sweet tomato sauce we really like. "The inside of Middle Brow in Logan Square is decorated like a DIY wedding—with tea lights, reclaimed wooden tables, and decorative plants in birdcages. And this brewpub/pizza spot’s huge patio has the same charming instead-of-wedding-cake-let’s-make-s’mores aesthetic. It’s a partially covered mish-mash of picnic tables and rustic outdoor furniture with a cute wooden bar and fire pits. It’s perfect for small groups of friends, or anytime you feel sad that you don’t have a giant backyard of your own.
