LOVE this place! The food is excellent and the small, dark, cozy atmosphere is really nice ... perfect for a date night or solo dining. Entrees are around $20. Salads are additional (a small salad is around $6). A basket of bread and butter is included. The bar area is friendly and the dining area is usually busy unless it's off hours. Many people stop in to pick up take out from here.

I was never a big fan of thin crusted Pizza - until y'days visit @Buon Appetito Restaurant & Bar! ❤️👍 We had Eggplant as an appetizer and it was great as well! Our server Jessica was quick & very friendly and could not have done any better. 😀 The place is tastefully decorated and the owner was singing on and off which sounded very nice! 👍 Our visit was a great experience and we will be back! 👍👍 5 stars! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Our recent visit to Buno Appetito Restaurant and Bar in Cape Coral was unfortunately defined by a series of service and quality issues. Upon arrival during happy hour, I ordered an Old Fashioned, which was made with Maker's Mark. The cost for this single happy hour cocktail was $14.00. The drink was made with something that tasted like dishwater to me and made it undrinkable. When this was mentioned to a waiter, his response was, "We don't make good cocktails." The wait for our dinner extended to one hour and twenty minutes. The first order of garlic knots that arrived at our table had a hair in them. While they were replaced, it was an unwelcome and unhealthy discovery. The pizza we ordered was served partially burnt black (yes I kept a picture) Throughout the meal, the service was largely absent. Given the long wait, the issues with the food, and the price for a poorly made drink, the experience was not a positive one. The staff's T-shirts read "Forgettaboutit," which is precisely our sentiment regarding a return visit.

Looking for excellent food and atmosphere? This place is all you need to know. From Veal Ossobucco to take out Pizza, Gabe and staff do it all and they do it right. Great portions at reasonable prices. Grab a pizza and have a seat in the bar area where cold beer, great wine or a cocktail awaits. Personally I have never been disappointed with the food or staff. Truly a great experience and chances are you may become a regular. Join Gabe and Denise for a really nice family atmosphere.

Place was real nice when I first went there. Then I kept coming back and the owner Denise was yelling about a drink I sent back. I let that slide. Came back and she was yelling at her servers again. Also the food went horribly bad. Then I ordered some food to be delivered. Big mistake! I was charged three times. Twice wasn’t mine. I called several times to fix the problem and the owner again got ugly. She really needs to find another field to go in. Gabe the other owner sings marvelous. But I now understand why some of my friends told me they won’t go back in there.

Love the food and staff at Buon Appetito! The Santa Rosa sauce with meatballs or chicken parm are my favorites! Owners Denise and Gabe are welcoming, and entertaining… love Gabe’s singing! Great for groups!

We had our Christmas party at this restaurant with 20 people, and everything was fantastic. The food was excellent, and the wait staff was attentive and professional. The owner kept us entertained with music, which made the evening even more enjoyable.

Went in on a Tuesday night. Food was okay, the gentleman who was singing was awesome. Server was not very attentive, only saw her once before we ordered and had to wait a pretty long time just to get her to bring us our check.

What a wonderful evening! The live music was the cherry on top--the atmosphere was so warm and inviting, and the singer's voice was absolutely incredible! Smooth, soulful, and just perfect; we could've listened all night long. Everything we ordered was pure deliciousness! My chicken piccata was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection--total comfort food bliss. My husband and son were in heaven with the creamy carbonara and that gooey, amazing Stromboli... we devoured everything way too fast for photos (oops!). And the tiramisu martini? Wow. Pure dessert-in-a-glass perfection! The service was warm, attentive, and so genuinely kind--it really made our night feel special. We're already counting down the days until we come back. Thank you for such a lovely, memorable experience!

I am blessed and honored to leave Buon Appetito Restaurant a fantastic review. My husband and I were greeted with an employee opening the door for us. I was very impressed. As I looked around, the floors were spotless and shiny. The tables glistened. It was a Wow Moment for me. My husband and I sat at a table. On a blackboard behind us were the appetizers, entrees and dessert specials. My husband tried the italian wedding soup and I tried the butternut squash bisque. Kuddos to the chef! My husband devoured his soup and the butternut squash bisque was the best I ever had. For an entree, I ordered chicken marsala and I asked for angel hair pasta in a separate bowl with the delicious marsala gravy. This was fabulous. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Moist, tender, and so easy to cut. The gravy on top of the chicken, "to die for". My husband had chicken parmigiana. He didn't say much because he scoffed up the chicken, enjoying every forkful. At the end, he took the bread, sopping up the gravy on his plate till there was nothing left. The waiter was excellent and constantly came to the table to see if we needed anything. Thank you to the waiter, staff and cook for a wonderful night out with my guy.

what a fun and delicious evening we had! we went looking for a quiet night with Italian cooking, we found a little bit more. the food was amazing, always ask for the calamari! Service is great, beer is cold, all in all fun evening delicious food

went to this restaurant tonight for the first tome i was very happy with the the service staff was friendly and courteous. The food was exceptionally good. We had sausage and peppers the Italian wedding soup, two different kinds of pizza nothing that was not delicious. Definitely would recommend and the entertainment was out of this world. Anc very enjoyable. So I'm giving this a thumbs up.

First time dining. Started off with Zucchini Fritters that were very good. Also Limoncello Martini. For entrees, Chicken Franchise w/ Cheese Tortilini and Veal Piccata w/ Angel Hair Spaghetti both were excellent. Service was good, our series's friendly and helpful. The interior is decorated in Italian memorabilia/pictures of movies (Goodfellows, Godfather), pictures of the Rat Pack and heavy Frank Sinatra background music. I'm sure we will be back.

Tonight, Sunday 6/23 our pizza was way off. Worst in the 6 years we have been enjoying Gabe and his Resturant. Very little cheese and sauce. Usually great but a $20+ disappoint tonight Ron

Very good Italian menu. Neighborhood eatery and highly recommended. My only complaint is on nights when they have live music, the noise is not conducive to conversation with your dinner companions.

We stumbled upon this place when Paradise deli was closed. So glad we did. The food was fabulous. Be sure to order a greek salad before your meal. The fresh baked bread was to die for. Portions are large. If you haven't been, its time to stop in.

Tonight was Yelp's Big Night In to support our local restaurants in Cape Coral and Ft. Myers. It was the first time we have ordered in food since we quarantined ourselves on March 14. We have cooked every night and we were ready for a change. We called in our order and it was ready for pick up In 45 minutes. The order was brought to the car. We all had the same thing, Shrimp and Scallops in Vodka Sauce. Two of us had grilled veggies as a side and the other two had pasta. There was also a nice order of bread with a hard crust. The scallops and shrimp were large and very tasty. The grilled veggies were delish! We also got a nice bottle of Cabernet that came with the order. We want to thank the owners and staff of Buon Appetito for providing essential services for our community. As always, we love supporting our local community restaurants! Be safe and take good care!

Great service, amazing sandwiches, and perfect bread. The ambiance is cozy and they have a great bar area. Meatballs are delicious and salad is fresh. Great spot!

The ambience of this place is absolutely great. The photos on the walls of famous Italians is very cool!

This my first visit to Buon Ap... for takeout. I was drawn to the restaurant on a Sunday because of their Bogo deal for specialty pizzas. Listed all the specialty pizzas are Stromboli's. I ordered a Stromboli and expected to get a free large pizza as they state, no, it doesn't apply the Stromboli I was told...even though it's under the specialty pizza menu. This to me it is misleading. Yet the Stromboli, while small, was excellent!

If it were possible to give negative stars I would. We were a party of four. The waitress said it was only her second day, so I can deal with a few hiccups, but it was beyond that. She took our drink order and then came back 5 mins later asking for our drink order we said you took it already . 10 minutes later she has only one drink, another 10 minutes later she comes back with our drink order and another drink for my friend who didn't order it but figured might not see her again . We only ordered main entrees, 2 veal parm dinners and a vodka chicken special and a broccoli rabe special from the special board. It took an HOUR and 50 MINUTES to get our food all dishes were served with pasta, 3 of them we're supposed to be angel hair pasta, we were given regular spaghetti. The Vodka chicken special had no chicken on it. The food was sub par at best and is not even close to NY quality. We asked several of the the servers what's going on, because our server didn't come by to see how we were and to let us know what's going on with our order. Finally we grabbed another server and said if the food is not out in 5 minutes give us the check for the drinks because we're leaving. Food came out 10 minutes later. The server then came over and apologized and said it was her fault, I said you we're part of the problem but the owner/ manager should be ashamed that people waited so long for dinner and either refused to come to my table, was not told of the problem or just is to busy singing Frank Sinatra, when I asked to speak with him, I was told he left. We got there at 5:30 and finally were able to get out the restaurant at 8:15. Even trying to pay the bill was a nightmare it took them 25 minutes just to give us a bill.

Such a great experience. Our waitress Maria was on top of everything and super nice. The food was excellent and we also enjoyed the live music. Such a great spot. Definitely a hidden gem.

I had a very unprofessional server. He was very overwhelmed and lost his temper with me. He was extremely rude and aggressive. The owner excused his behavior. Stay away from people and places like this.

This is one of our faves. They are a family owned small restaurant. The food is always good and the service is top. The great thing is they do BOGO pizza on Wednesday and Sundays. This has saved us money when feeding the family on Sundays. The owner Gabe is the main cook as well as the entertainment. His voice is amazing and he is able to emulate singers. When we are looking for something close and good this is our go to.

We visited this restaurant on 01/13 and it will be our one and only time. Food was disgusting and not warm. The seating was over crowded - unless you like sitting with strangers for a nice meal out, this will not be the place to go. You literally have to squeeze your way through the "aisles" to get to your seat, that is 6 inches away from the next table. Besides that, the service was awful and the food was literally from a jar. Very acidic and metallic tasting sauce. We watched two tables get up and leave a couple bucks in the table for their drinks because they weren't attended to. And because we were so close to our neighbors, everyone had the same thoughts of disappointment and aggravation. Save yourself the money and go somewhere else!

Can see why the ratings are poor. Service is horrible but management is worse; they act like they are the only Italian place town. They nickel and dime you, give small portions a as for up charge on items without warning or tell you it's ok when it's not and the pricing is inconsistent (can you say "rip you off"). Plenty of other Italian options in the cape, so save yourself the aggravation and the lack of feeling unsatisfied after your meal.

The food here was so horrifically terrible. I wouldn't feed my dog that shit . How dare this guy consider him self a chef. I'm embarrassed . This is so not Italian cuisine! Wost experience with food . I literally puked in my own mouth and that actually tasted better then the fucking food here ...

Awful place! Waitstaff needs to be trained! Had to ask for bread, silverware, Drinks took about 45 minutes to get finally got after halfway thru meal! Will never return!!! Also sat next to 2 dirty tables filled with dirty dishes, no one ever clean tables!

I actually really like this place! The atmosphere is fun, the Good Fellas decor is cheesy but that makes it fun. The food is really good. The owner, cook also entertains! He has a great voice and clearly has a following because when he starts crooning he channels Frank Sinatra and for just a song or so you are transported to Little Italy in NYC! The mixed drinks aren't great and the service has been slow but I am sure that's more due to staffing shortages than poor customer customer service. Give it a try if you're in the mood for some pasta and good gravy! The pizza is excellent too.

We ordered a pizza, bruschetta, and a salad for delivery and was told 45 minutes. At 55 minutes we called to check on the order and was told the delivery guy had left. We live 5 minutes away. After an hour and a half (double the time they told us), I called back and was transferred to the manager. He apologized profusely (staffing issues which I totally understand) and then told me that if he wasn't there in 20 more minutes, THEN they could do something for me. I told them that I just wish they were upfront about the time because we live 5 minutes away and would have come picked it up if it was going to be that long. Food wise - the pizza and salad were good. Pizza was warm when it arrived, not hot, but warm. The bruschetta tomato mixture was delicious, but the bread was really soggy.

Food was bland, service was ridiculously terrible. We sat outside and our first waitress took our appetizer order and then never came back. Right before we left our first server came out and said 'I went back inside and said, Someone has to take that table I don't have the time' i guess we were fortunate someone took us. But again the whole experience left a lot to be desired in both service and taste. We will not be returning.

We hadn't eaten here in several years and decided to give it another try. Staff is very friendly though slow and this is with the restaurant 1/2 full. Wife ordered butternut ravioli, it's was terrible. Horrible aftertastes and the sauce had zero flavor. My friend and I both ordered a cheeseburger, waitress came back and let us know they were out of cheddar cheese, she came back again to let us know they were out of burgers. Ordered a meatball sub, this lacked sauce or taste and ended up being a bread sandwich. The restaurant was noisy and we couldn't wait to leave. I am really suspicious of those 5 star reviews. Too many really good restaurants in the area to return to this place. Just our opinion,

This is the closest Italian restaurant to our home, we like a lot of their dishes, the eggplant is very good the seafood is very good, the pizza is decent, I was in the mood for authentic carbonara this week, this is definitely not authentic carbonara! Habanero should have egg yolks in it and no peas. This was more like Alfredo with peas and undercooked bacon. I will stick to homemade, but there pizza specials here are pretty good.

The best Italian restaurant we been to in cape coral. Highly recommend Stromboli and white lasagna!!

The server started our service our horribly and then little things ended up killing this night. They do not filter their water and their coke mix tasted rancid. I sent the coke back and didn't want another nowhere the waitress didn't give me a choice. She brought another and my husband tested it and it was still rancid. Then the bruschetta came and it tasted like it was out of a can, completely lacking flavor. When our meal came, the veal was off when I got to the middle and pasta was 100 percent over al dente. I'm sure someone is cooking enough pasta for a few days as well as the sauces. Disgusting and unbecoming of any Italian eatery. The table was sticky, the menu on the table under my veal meal was sticky and had stuff all over it. Gross. Our waitress was not wearing a mask. We left their grossed out and now my husband has the bubble guts.....oh and receipt is included for shits and giggles. Quite the price when Olive Garden feels is like traditional Roman food in comparison.

Move to the area about a year ago been ordering food from here since then, I haven't had any issues until today. I called the store to order a pizza and the worker answered the phone put me on hold I'm on hold for a few minutes and then it sounds like they hang up on me. I gave it a couple minutes and called back the phone rings for a long time and then some lady answers it "HELLO?" with attitude. Because of her attitude I asked who the manager was and she replies that she is in her name is Denise, so I asked who was above her and she replies after hesitating that no one is above her. So then I ask her you're the owner then? Took her another second to let me know that she was the owner. She acted irritated and explain to me that she didn't know who I was and then I was contacting her on her personal cell phone. I had no idea that it rolled over to her phone but she acted like I should've known that. She kept asking me if I wanted to order but once again with an attitude. It's too bad that I found out the owner had such an attitude issue since we do like the pizzas there, but they were so many other restaurants to visit no sense in giving my money to somebody with an attitude like that.

Fantastic authentic food. Kudos to chef Gabe and the great waitstaff especially Chloe. Plus the added singing by Gabe was an unexpected treat to all in the restaurant. Will be back soon from Indiana.

We've been wanting to try this place since we moved here. We always prefer to eat local rather than at chain restaurants. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. We ordered 4 different meals to share as a family. All 4 were terrible. The chicken was soggy, the sauce is runny and lacks flavor, and the pasta was very overcooked. We ordered the chicken Parmesan, chicken Marsala, fettuccine Alfredo, and the red lasagne. Everything lacked flavor. I'd rather go to Olive Garden. It's way better. Hopefully this review will help them make improvements. They are definitely necessary.

I have been twice, first was with co-workers for late lunch, sandwiches were awesome, never expected fresh and I mean fresh baked bread for the sandwiches. A ton of food and the fried zucchini sticks were great. Went for dinner Fathers day, I tried the side of meatballs, they were fantastic! I ordered seafood fra-diavalo , it was tasty with the right amount of heat, frankly haven't had as good since I left Boston. The owner/Chef came out and sang a few songs to boot! Love it....

Heard good things. Turned out to be untrue, or really old. We waited over 30 minutes for drinks. We're told if I wanted my dirty martini extra dirty there would be an extra charge. What?!? It was served at first with no olives. I had to ask for them. Food was ok. The biggest problem was how long we waited for drinks. 45 minutes for a glass of wine is way too long. Servers were nice, but overwhelmed. We asked for a dessert menu and never got it. After waiting for drinks and a dessert menu that never came, we were given our bill and an apology. We asked for a discount on the bill, and after another 15 minutes we got a voucher for 15% off our next visit. Ummm...no. I don't think so. There are so many great restaurants in the area. There's no reason to be back. Especially if management is so unwilling to address problems.

So we decided to try a new spot in the area and chose to have Italian... As we walked in the doors, the staff was having a meeting - we kindly asked if they were open, to which our soon to be server Jacob promptly replied that they were and seated us right away - Jacob was exceptional throughout our entire visit. The food was decent. However, the restaurant OWNER - Denise - has zero hospitality and should not be in the restaurant business. A couple of drinks were recommended to us - I enjoyed my drink however my girlfriend did not enjoy hers. I decided to taste her drink and sipped a bit of it. Our server Jacob noticed that I was drinking my girlfriends drink and asked if she did not like it and that they could make another drink for her if she'd like. Again, Jacob is a people person and did what any business owner should want their employees to do - (Keep their Customers Happy). Jacob leaves to bring my girlfriend another drink, at this time Denise the owner seems to get involved and tells Jacob that because we have already taken a sip out of the first drink we will still have to pay for all of the drinks..This is not the issue as I originally planned to drink the drink either way and pay for it. The issue was that we did not ask for another drink... they offered us another one due to the fact that the drink was recommended to us by them and then DENISE assumes we do not want to pay for the drink and stated aloud that we will need to pay for both drinks. My girlfriend then goes on to ask about a "Roscato" - We know nothing about wine, but thought we would explore it since they were recommended to us - DENISE laughs and states there's no such thing. She makes it a point to make us feel as if we are not welcome simply because we are not educated on the differences in wine. I would rate the food a 2.5/5 Service by Jacob 5/5 Atmosphere of the rest of the staff 5/5 Restaurant Owner- Denise 0/5 Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere - read the other reviews that indicate how poorly Denise has treated other people.

Always come here because it's so close to home and has great food but management is awful . I ordered a pasta with added chicken ($6 up-charge) never got it . Asked the server for it and she told me I had to pay for extra (even though I NEVER GOT IT) asked for a Manager and it took like 30 minutes for her to get to me to me and told me that she didn't understand why I was upset and that she would take it off . I heard her tell the kitchen "I don't know what they want me to do " ( we were sitting right by the door ). I get the check and after I was told that my meal would be taken care of I paid full price (minus they chicken that I NEVER RECEIVED) great service But management needs an attitude adjustment . I would've been happy If I got my chicken I ordered in the first place but this place left me with a sour taste In my mouth .

We absolutely love this place the atmosphere and food are amazing we eat here at least once a week and they deliver always hot and delicious! I definitely recommend to anyone !! My family and I have been customers here for 4 years and never disappointed. You have to check them out !!

Went for the buy one get one pizza. It was my first visit and I will definitely go back. Pizzas and the tiramisu were delicious. The service was great too even though they were busy.

If you want your $15 worth of 20 zitis swimming in sauce, than come to Buon Appetito's. I'm giving two stars because the ambiance is really nice and the staff was very friendly towards my party.

Had an average experience here on Saturday night. It could've been so much better but I'm afraid this place has terrible management. First, I tried calling for nearly 30 minutes on Friday to make a reservation to get a constant busy signal. This was at about 5pm. I wound up being in the plaza the restaurant is in so I stopped in to make the reservation - 10 people for Saturday at 5:30. I then told the lady at the front (one of the servers) that I thought there was a problem with their phone or maybe they were getting a lot of to go orders and she said no the manager or owner was on the phone. But thanks for my persistence! We arrived Saturday to our table not being set up. Seems nobody put our reservation "in the book". No problem they'll set us up. So they put together 4 tables for 10 of us to sit at 5 on each side facing each other. Once we sat we realized there was no way we would fit so we asked our server if we could pull the table next to us over to which she said yes and we did so. The manager (who I think is one of the owners) came over and asked why we did this. We told her we were to squished together. At which point she proceeds to tell us how many reservations she has and she needs as many tables as she can get. My response to her was "are we not allowed to be comfortable when we eat our dinner?". She said of course she was just asking. Ok well heard and yes we need 5 tables across to seat 10 people comfortably thanks for asking. Our server was a lovely woman named Melissa. She knew the menu well and made recommendations. Unfortunately she had to take the order on an iPad which was an extremely SLOW process - seems there's no easy way to search for anything so she had to keep pulling down from a menu for all of the food and drink. Oh, and those mixed drinks we ordered, yeah Melissa had to go behind the bar and make those too - while the lady who wanted us to return our table sat at the bar "managing". Truth is we would've ordered more drinks had the process not taken so long. I won't go into what everyone ordered but will give the highlights. Fried calamari - they mix it with fried cherry peppers and olives. It was extremely salty. I LOVED the fried cherry peppers but I'm thinking maybe the olives just makes it too salty. Or maybe their breading had too much salt not sure. I had shrimp fra diavolo - it was good but for $19 only got 4 shrimp. I would've expected 6 as there was a ton of pasta left after I ate them. A few at our table got the zuppa de pesce - it was a nice large plate but the sauce extremely watery. They said it tasted good. There were a couple of pasta dishes that were good and my husband had chicken Marsala which he said tasted fine but again, the sauce was like soup. Their bread is very good and we've ordered pizza from here and it's good. The only reason I gave this place a third star is because the chef owner comes out and sings along with the live entertainer they have here. He sang a lovely happy birthday to my daughter as well as a few other old school Sinatra/Dean Martin songs. It was a nice addition. Although I could've done without the accordion music - a keyboard would suffice. Oh, by the way, the restaurant was always only about 2/3 full so yeah, they didn't need that table after all

Clearly from the name, you know its an Italian joint. This is supported by the decor which is Mobland paraphernalia and quotes form the holy trinity of mafia movies as well as several TVs playing these movies.. The menu is also wholly Italian. Mixed in with the pasta dishes are the standard Italian fare like Fra Diavolo, Parmiagana etc. The actual food is decent, not great. The pasta seems to always be cooked to the perfect al dente but the flavors are slightly off. Although maybe it's me and my philly tastes because I've hard a hard time enjoying a lot of the food down here. My favorite part of a visit to Buon Appetito though is the end when a few of the servers turn into performers and sing you a song of your choice as they present you with the check.

Buon Appetito Restaurant, Surfside Blvd., Cape Coral, FL., Here is some chit chat and my 2 cents on the food. Chatter. I was concern about going to this eatery. It got negative feedback. But I was reminded I do this for the food. So I checked this place out on Friday for lunch. I did find repeat customers. Thats a good sign. The food. They have a $7 lunch menu and everything else. I was served fresh, out of the oven, made on premise bread. MMMMM good. Real butter... I order the clams with garlic and linguine pasta. $18 bucks. Yes it was a bit pricey. But when I got my order( see pic ) it had lots of fresh clams. I also request extra garlic. As I sorted through the shells I found chunks of FRESH garlic. Plus only 2 slices of burnt garlic. Garlic ,taste terrible when burnt. OMG this was delish. Lots of clams, garlic and the right amount of pasta. This dish was well balanced. The chef/cook was Abe.... This was an excellent meal. So aside for maybe other issues. My entree was wonderful. Service was stellar.

We decided to give this restaurant another look as we had not been there since pre COVID and want to see local businesses survive during these challenging times. Food was good but we were charged higher prices than listed in the menu. When we inquired, we were told that a lot of their prices have changed. There is no excuse for not having accurate prices reflected on the menu that you order from. We will not be back.

I stopped in this quaint little restaurant tonight (Sept. 8th around 8:45. I was hungry and had been awake since 4:45 in the morning. I was hoping for some place quiet. I walked in and heard the karaoke entertainment which was not what my mood was interested in. The owner invited me then to sit in the bar. I declined, politely, because the place was very small and the live music could easily be heard in the bar. Now, I didn't stay but maybe 2 minutes. As I was walking out the door...the OWNER...says, and I quote, "Your loss!" WHAT??? My loss? Up until then I was still a potential customer and would have gladly come back another day. But when anyone working in a service industry business, from owner down to busser, front of the house or back of the house, says to a potential customer "Your loss", kiss my ass! I grew up in Italian restaurants. My family has 30 of them, give or take, back home in the St. Louis region as well as Illinois and Kentucky called The Pasta House Company, established in 1974. A business doesn't stay open 42 years by telling people "your loss" if they decide not to eat there for whatever reason. You invite the customer back another day. I assume the food at Buon Appetito is pretty good and assume the service would have also been good. But...do not tell a potential customer "You loss!" Ever!!! After reading several other reviews the food is apparently so so and the service is even worse!
