"Buona Beef will open just its third location in the city — and 24th overall — on November 24 at 804 W. Washington Boulevard with free sandwiches for everyone who’s in line for the 10 a.m. unveiling. The space — which was most recently home to a Harold’s Chicken Shack — seats 56 people and will have outdoor seating when the weather’s warmer." - Daniel Gerzina

Delicious! And Next Coast IPA on draft .... Friendly, professional staff was happy to redeem our baseball special at this bright new location with nice outdoor seating.

I am glad to have a Buona beef in the west loop the service at the counter was great very genuinely friendly (didn’t catch his name). The sandwich is the problem I have eaten at Buona for quite some time but first time at this location. The 7” beef I ordered was more like dipped than baptized like what I asked for also the sandwich had very little meat it looked like I was unwrapping a hot dog. I was dissatisfied with the sanding it had very little meat wasn’t baptized as requested and very little cheese. Will return to this location but will be sure to give even more specific about how I want my food made.

Must have been an off day. Italian Sausage seemed to have been reheated, looked cook but not hot all the way through. Beef was a bit dry. Fries were good. Not what I expected, but definitely better than Al's Beef. Would rather make the trip to Mr. Beef on Orleans.

The Italian beef here is okay. I think Al's and Portillo's are better. This place does have a good selection of other food though and because of that they get an extra star. The beef was a little greasy and I don't think it had a ton of taste. The cheese fries were decent, but not great. Staff is friendly as well.

The West Loop location has been consistently terrible. I have ordered Buona at least on 7 different occasions since the location opened and my order has been correct only 1 time. The first time was the wrong sandwich entirely. The other times ignored requests to have certain items (tomato or mayo) from sandwiches removed. The most recent time, today, was after I placed an order online telling me that my order would be ready at 11:36 a.m. It wasn't ready until 12:05 p.m., but no apologies from anyone on the staff, but rather, no one even acknowledged the fact that it was 30 minutes after my lunch was supposed to be ready. This location is the worst.

I used to live by the corporate head quarters for Buona so maybe my standards are a little high for other stores but this one came far below the bar. Got a regular beef and opened it there was nothing to the sandwich. I said something to the manager and his response was well we use high quality beef. I looked at him and responded it is so high quality it doesn't exist. I will never go back I will just go to Portillos

Great food, fast service, friendly staff, will definitely be coming back here. My partner & I tried their Italian beef & cannoli, both were delicious! Happy to have a fast-casual joint that isn't overpriced in the area.

I had the 5" classic with provolone cheese; it was delicious! The sandwich pretty much melts in your mouth, and the size is perfect for a quick bite to eat for lunch if you work in the West Loop.
