Creamed spinach was too full of nutmeg; baked potato wasn’t cooked through and burnt on one side and the service was not worth the tip I left. Not good prime rib either. Won’t be back; 3rd time there.

Food and service has gone downhill. The atmosphere was nice. Use to be great food. The hostesses were rude. When she seated us we were across a rowdy drunk group. When asked to change tables she was adamant it would take a while. So many places we could sit to celebrate an anniversary and a birthday! She wouldn’t move us. Then the ribs were extremely dry. and burnt I got the end of corn on cob that was tiny. The same with the cocktail I usually get was smaller.They got my son’s order all wrong he had asked for no mushrooms . They served my daughter a fatty prime rib. So much fat she couldn’t eat it. We waited for our son’s plate to be changed!! The food was not enjoyable. We will not eat there anymore for cerebrations. . We paid 300.00 for this celebration dinner counting on it would be great as usual!! Never again. A total waste of money! Must be new management? Wish I got my money back. I was shot there once for a TV show I was in. I’m so disappointed! What a waste!

EVERYTHING is excellent!! Hands down the best garlic bread anywhere!! Service is top notch with a great atmosphere!

The Smokehouse has been a favorite of mine since 1984. This is the best garlic bread that I have ever had. So many times, I go there just to pick up garlic bread to take to events. The food is delicious. The ambiance is old Hollywood with hundreds of pictures to prove it. You will love the Smoke House.

Not sure what happened to the review I already wrote... after correcting the address with the yelp back office. Came here after a Studio Tour at WB, enjoyed the Gilmore Girls attraction with my family, there were about 8 of us. I love love love these types of restaurants in LA, places that have stood the test of time. Love the valet parking, super cheap and easy. We started with some fried pickles and a couple orders of the garlic bread, genius! We had cocktails and wine, what I really appreciated was each cocktail that came in a martini glass came with a little carafe of about 50% more drink, no spilling issues on a full glass there! For dinner we had a couple people order the salmon two ways- they loved it. My mom had Beef Stroganoff and she was so excited to see it on the menu and then to enjoy it too. Son had the Porter house Wife had the filet I had the Ribeye and we were all very pleased. This place was awesome! I believe our waiter was Sylvester and he did fabulous work.

Man... Its been many moons since my last time at the Smoke House. Our family came for a visit for our early holiday dinner. With a reservation for 5pm on Sunday, I was surprised to see the place filled with people. Since its been so long since my last time it was amazing to see how many sections this establishment has. The entry way was a fairly long walk to the front desk. During that walk there were private rooms off to the side. The waiting area is most of the front walkway which tells me many people come for a nice meal. As we got seated there was a couple of areas we passed through to get to our table. Each area seemed very cozy yet tight fitted. The area we were seated had a fireplace, had an old fashion vibe, and some old movie posters hung on the wall. There wasn't too much room to move around as you backs were either in the aisle or to someone's back. The menu has a nice selection of steak, seafood, BBQ, and others. I was very interested in the Ribeye steak but ended up with the Prime Rib dinner. We all enjoyed our meal and would love to come back for another family occasion. I think this place is perfect for a company holiday party, a date, family gathering, or any special occasion. Parking: limited street parking, valet ($8) VERDCIT: Rinse and repeat

Welcome 2025! I rang in the new year last night with my hubby at Smoke House. What a fabulous time! Old school, black-and-white photos on the wall,live music, festive decor, everyone happy and having a great time. It took us about half an hour to get seated despite our reservation, but the hostess treated everyone well and everything moved efficiently. Food was superb. My husband had the prime rib and I had a petite fillet. So scrumptious! The baked potatoes were perfect. The green beans were perfect. We of course had to order the famous garlic bread -- so worth it! Drinks took a little longer to come out, and I didn't get my whiskey cocktail until about 10 minutes after the food was served, but it was New Year's Eve, so no big deal. Smoke House gives me nostalgia for old Hollywood. I'm so glad it's still there and still so popular. Happy new year, Yelp pals!

Don't be fooled by "the world's greatest" garlic cheese bread. I was not impressed. The thick powdery cheese was on top of the bread making it too salty and kind of gross. Regrettably and with high expectations, we got the full size. Another flop was the fried calamari. It was chewy and not that crispy. I got prime rib and another steak and it was good. They cooked it perfectly and I really liked that they have veggies + 1 side with the entree. The veggies are overcooked and soft, which I didn't mind and enjoyed. The portion size is pretty big for everything. I might come back if I'm craving a steak dinner. As for service, it's a bit slow and watching the waiters speed walking around and being busy made me feel their stress lol. I think a lot of people like celebrating their birthdays here because we heard like 5 tables singing the birthday song when we arrived. When we arrived, we turned into the parking lot not knowing that they do valet parking for $8-$10. The valet attendants said we can park on the streets if we want so we did. It was easy to find a spot (we were there a late 8pm).

The portions are quite large and the prices are not offensive. My cousin and I shared a prime rib sandwich and a rack of ribs. The waiter, Christopher, brought it out pre-split and gave us each full sides. The atmosphere was perfect. Throwback but not dingy. Very well loved and full of life.

If you love all-you-can-eat snow crab legs and Smoke House famous cheese bread as part of your Sunday brunch spread, you need to check this place out! This is my second time visiting and I really enjoy it. I usually start with a plate of snow crabs then I move on to the breakfast fare such as freshly made omelet and crepes. There's eggs, bacon, sausages. Don't miss the sausage. You have the meat section with tri-tip, ham, and roast beef? I didn't partake in this section so not sure what the third meat option was. I usually skip meat these days on rare visits at buffets and stick to the seafood which included snow crab, shrimp, salmon, and raw oysters. There's waffles in the back corner and better than average dessert spread which includes creme brulee. Their fruit spread includes even dragon fruit. At $80 per person including mandatory 18% tip, it isn't a weekly dining spot, but an experience to return to for all- you-can-eat snow crab legs in a historic Old Hollywood setting. The service levels were very high even if tip is already included. Don't forget to bring hand sanitizing wipes for the crabs. Valet parking is avaiy or easy, free street parking in the neighborhood.

Smoke House is smoking! This post WWII eatery is located on Lakeside Drive/Olive Avenue in the city of Burbank, Los Angeles, California across the street from the back end of Warner Bros Studios. Opening its doors in the mid 1940s, a serving up beverage, food and live entertainment ever since. When you step into those thick wooden doors you can take in the rich history on the walls, images, panels, carpeting and unique layout with a both stair and a ramp toward the counter for reservations. Celebrating our friend Shaun's incredible birthday we had a big reservation for 12. I'd knew of Smoke House, but never thought about going and I'm glad I did for the occasion. Cheers, Shaun!! We were sat in one of the more quieter rooms deep inside near a toasty fireplace and a few other parties in the center of the room. It was good feels all around at the house of smoke. Known for their World's Greatest (cheeto crust cheesy) garlic bread other great beginnings (also known as the appetizers), soups, salads, sandwiches, steaks and pastas among other things. All the beverage options you could want and then some - sky is truly the limit. Plenty of vegetarian options and a few select vegan items, which made me content, the wine even more so. Though I did notice more than a few things were pretty close if you omit dairy for a dish, like the dinner salad and some sandwiches. We inquired ahead and got a great recommendation for the Pasta Primavera. The pasta dishes don't come with a side dish like the other meals, but are very filling and large in portion. Fried pickles were a big hit at the table as were all entrees, starters, cocktails and beverages of choice. They can only take up to three to four cards so plan ahead for this. The do have an atm inside for cash, it definitely makes your experience easier overall and especially if you dine at the bar lounge where you can enjoy some truly talented individuals on Friday or Saturday nights. There is a $25 minimum to enjoy this part of Smoke House and it's easy to do as well as worth it. It's valet parking ($8) or street if you can manage it, but I will say the street is possible, but also very much like flipping a coin. Restrooms are in the front half just before the lounge bar and the main dining areas (which are several large open rooms with tables, booths and tons of ambiance). Our servers were truly attentive and amazing the entire night. I'm not sure I'd rush back for the food, but I would come back for the experience, good company to enjoy it with, incredible service and of course a nice drink, especially a glass of red. Might take my dad here for a newly post retirement treat, he'd love some live jazz, Rick Whitfield and Higher Ground (some of the regular acts here).

I went to The Smoke House in Burbank last night. I went to hear live music. I sat at the bar. I had a Cosmopolitan and shared a plate of Fried Pickles and Alaskan Halibut Fish and Chips. The food and drink were good. I like the lighting, decor, and atmosphere of the place. Service was good.

We came to Smoke House Restaurant for lunch last week and this place just oozes old Hollywood and my husband and I were here for it! We walked in and sat at the bar - the bar was very vintage and was surrounded by booths with plenty of seating. I loved seeing all of the old-timey photos on the walls of past regulars from James Dean to Walt Disney. My husband and I would have loved to be flies on the wall for some of the conversations that were taking place at Smoke House while we were there. Everyone was very friendly and you could tell all the regulars knew each other - we even met celebrity make-up and hair stylist Barbara Dally. For lunch, we ordered the New York Steak Sandwich with Fries. It was an open faced sandwich, but it was seasoned to perfection. The garlic bread on the bottom was a bit tough, but the flavor made up for it. It was simple, but really hit the spot! My only complaint was of the lady who walks around taking pictures of people - every time she came back to her station which is to the left of the bar, she would watch videos on her phone rather loudly right next to me and it kind of ruined the vibe whenever she was there. Smoke House Restaurant is a national landmark and you should definitely visit if you're in the area!

It's Hollywood famous and good fantastic! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was kitschy cool and classic comfortabke. It was so neat to be in the midst of the history of all that have been here and frequented here but the food is what you really come for - it's that good! The brunch is so worth it - it's on the weekends (check with the restaurant to be sure the times). Crepe station, waffles, breakfast, stuffing and prime rib or turkey or ham, salmon, salads of every kind and fresh fruits and cheeses, desserts and a chocolate fountain... oh my goodness - take a lil art he photos - words almost can't describe! Come and try! I think you'll love it.

The Smoke House Restaurant is a nice option if your parents are visiting and want to eat somewhere with an old school Hollywood vibe. The dining room really looks like it came from an old movie and is quite the experience itself. I've been for brunch and for dinner and prefer dinner. Get their prime rib! The garlic bread is dece but idk if it's the world's best like it's called. It's a little up and down, some visits were amazing and some left me a little underwhelmed. Still a good spot to get prime rib and feel like you're in a 60s movie.

We took the Warner Brothers studio tour and along the route, the Smoke House Restaurant was pointed out as George Clooney's favorite restaurant. So much so, that he named his production company after it. It was early enough, so we decided to try it for lunch. The place is an old world mobster hangout. Lots of wood, red carpeting, waitstaff dressed in bowties, red vests, white shirts, black pants. It felt like a hangout seen in The Sopranos. And as tourists, we totally didn't fit in. It was a good ole boys club. Evidence to that was a table behind us of a bunch of older men that were producers in the film and music industry. They asked if we wanted to order their famous "World's Greatest Garlic Bread" and we ordered a full order when we only needed a half order. The bread was really good. "World's Greatest"? No. Good? Yes. I got the French Dip. It was a good French Dip sandwich. Is it the best? No. Decent? Yes. My wife got a salad. I don't remember which one. She. said it was good. The best? No. Decent? yes. It was a good meal. The prices were a little high for what it was. Are they raking in some money from the tourists visiting the Warner Studios tour? Absolutely. It's a decent enough place to visit and maybe (maybe) catch a glimpse of someone who might be shooting at the studio lot that day. Would I go back when I'm back in town? Nope. Too many other places to go that aren't tourity.

I have been going to the Smoke House forever since I was a child. I looked at the menu online today because we were unable to dine at the restaurant tonight. We decided to order the famous garlic bread to pair with our meal. To my disbelief they had up charged the frozen full loaf garlic bread from $8 to $12. If I knew that I would have purchased the bread a week or days ago. The woman taken my ordered did inform me of the price. I was disappointed. Just another way for high way robbery.

Old Hollywood restaurant charm exists in only a few examples in Los Angeles. The Smoke House with its architecture, interior decor, and menu is reminiscent of yesteryear and a fixture in time. Renowned for its Garlic Bread, this is a must for any first-time patrons as it continues to be a favorite for many visitors. It is not gourmet, but the cheesy garlic topping on a supermarket French loaf is iconic. Their menu isn't a true chop house and their BBQ is limited. Chicken and seafood also adorn alternatives and everything is done well. Steaks are not steak house thick, but the Prime Rib is memorable. There are also some pasta dishes in a rich sauce for those who crave additional carbs. Parking is by the way of a Valet only lot that is cash only. The staff is wonderfully fast and attentive just like the wait staff.

Maybe one day I will eat here reservations not honored....dont bother unless you wanna go to Disneyland and wait in that line...Never again....

Always wanted to try this place, so glad we did. This place has been around since 1946 and i can see why. Right across from Warner Bros Studio, I can imagine the stars going here. The garlic cheese bread basket is a must. We ordered one to go. Great cocktails, bold and delicious. Martinis are severed with a mini carafe of extra cocktail. One of the best Rueben sandwiches I have ever had and my wife's rib order was fabulous, tender meat and flavorful. The service was impeccable, thanks to Robert. Food came out quickly and hot. They have valet parking which is great. Reservations are a must.

Your reservation doesn't mean anything. They overbook. As of writing this, we have waited 43 minutes past our reservation time. Hard to enjoy food when you can't sit down to eat it.

Woweeeee! What amazing warm and festive ambiance this restaurant provides! Not only that, the staff is just so professional and accommodating to even large groups. The food is precisely prepared and just a side note that should be appreciated...when they serve side vegetables, they are perfectly cooked without the stink of overcooked sulfuric emissions. This place is a treasure. I'll certainly be back and have already recommended it to several others as a lovely special date spot! Tasted: Spinach artichoke dip: Smokey and extraordinarily unique in flavor Calamari: tasted like pork rinds and again Smokey yumminess Filet minon: medium cooked to perfection , with a sweet potato and veg.

Parking is valet-only, with cash-only acceptance at $6, $8, or $10 via Venmo. Upon entering, the ambiance evoked a classic Hollywood movie scene. Following a 5-8 minute wait, we approached the front podium, where staff seemed unwelcoming, directing us to another podium. Our waitstaff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, suggesting the front staff could benefit from their demeanor. We opted for the prime rib special, which came with two sides, and highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms, which we considered ordering again.

I met friends for lunch, and was happy when they chose this restaurant. It has been a few years since I have been to the Smokehouse, and I have missed it so much. The distance is the ONLY reason that keeps me away. The first time I stepped into the restaurant, I felt I was transported back in time to the 1950s or 60s. The restaurant was established in over 75 years ago! Usually, I have a sandwich, tacos or salad for lunch. On this day, I had a mega open-face Prime Rib sandwich and it was incredibly delicious!! We just had to order the famous Gatlic Cheesebrrad. Beware, they will "ask" you if you would like bread, but it is not complimentary. We didn't mind the nominal charge, though, it was worth it. I love the leather booths, wood trimmed furnishings and the wait staff professionally dressed in white shirts and black slacks. Their stellar service and robust menu keeps their customers returning year after year. Popular items are the French Onion Soup (Fri-Sunday only); Prime Rib Sandwich, Chateaubriand (for two ... isn't that romantic???), Rack of Lamb, Pork Chops, BBQ chicken and ribs, plus Seafood (Stuffed Salmon, Shrimp Scampi, or Lobster tail). Price range is $35 to $65 per person. Note: A children's menu is available, the average price is $10 per entree). Reservations are a must! They are located across from the movie studios and movie executives, producers, and celebrities dine here. Treat yourself and don't forget to tell'em that Rosemary sent ya!

The things that are wrong with Smoke House are the very things that are so right with it. Let me explain. As everyone here says, this is an enveloping throwback to a time in the golden age of Hollywood when dark spaces with luxurious deep red leather banquettes welcomed A-listers as they made their way past a black velvet bar, nodding and shaking hands with other celebs in the industry to have a long lunch of cocktails and steak. All those glam elements remain and one is reminded instantly of West Hollywood clubs as if they outgrew their cramped headquarters and moved to Toluca Lake where they could stretch out and relax amid beautiful old trees that line the surrounding streets in this upscale neighborhood. One man's vintage is another's dated. For me it is both, and I have to say, I love the old school qualities that have kept Smoke House going strong for decades. It could be a hidden treasure, unless you are one of the fortunati who know Lakeside Golf Club right next door. That and the business magnates that still come here to make epic deals keep the glamour intact and you feel it when you come in what is a rather inauspicious entrance. Once you reach the top of a short flight of stairs, Smoke House expands before your eyes and room after room appears. Here is where you could have that '40s retro wedding party, with a dance floor and stage to boot. Pictures will say more than I should here about the decor. Notice that, while it may seem to be yesteryear, i.e., the 1950s, there are fresh orchids all over, sparkling glassware, thick linens, deep, comfy seating and everything from floor to ceiling is spotless. The greeters act as if you are a long lost friend and the servers are all professional, cheerful, and solicitous. Several stopped by to make sure we had what we needed and Ryan, our personal attendant, was the epitome of efficiency and caring. He noticed when we ran out of something and brought it, unasked. Isn't that extra? The food we ordered was good, even very good, but not unique or highly flavorful. For a fleeting moment, I feared there was bacon in the spinach dip but we came to the conclusion that it seemed so because of its smoked gouda cheese and I relaxed. It was delicious and Ryan saw to it that we had two rounds of chips to go with it. I ordered the Mescalita made with famed 400 Conejos mezcal and it was smoky, edgy, and wonderful. Then we had the joy of choosing from a dozen exceptional desserts all made, save one, by the house pastry team. They looked and tasted exquisite. Parking -- a usual fright, especially in WeHo or BH -- was a breeze. There is a huge parking lot adjacent to the restaurant and valet parking. We saw a shady spot (on a scorching hot day) on a nearby street and chose that instead, just to keep the car from melting outright. A short walk gave us a chance to appreciate the quiet beauty of Toluca Lake. If I were to give Smoke House a few suggestions, they would be: make sure the vegetarian or vegan offerings are marked clearly as such so no one has to guess; keep the kitchen door closed (perhaps it was only open because of the heat this particular day?), as the bright lights and controlled chaos therein interrupt and spoil the intimate clubby darkness that characterizes the rest of the place. Also, the Mescalita arrived in a cracked glass. Once we noticed it, Ryan whisked it away. A fresh cocktail and discount on the one we received broken would have been a gracious touch, as cracked glasses are a huge no-no in culinary establishments and against HACCP rules. Neither was offered. The prices are good. The food was fresh. Our carrot cake was loaded with fresh carrots and the vegetables in my Pasta Primavera were crisp, as they should be. The service was a bit slow but then again, the place is huge and has only one kitchen, it was pretty full of diners when we were there at an off afternoon hour. It wasn't Ryan's fault, but I don't want you to be impatient. No one hurried us. There were people lingering at the bar the whole time we were there. This is a place that you can come to, feel at home, relax, know you will eat a very good meal and be appreciated, away from the bustle and frenetics of the usual L.A. restaurant scene. We are sure to return.

I would give an extra1/2 star if possible because I wanted to like it more! I know this place is very popular as an iconic landmark type restaurant in LA. The building is beautiful and inside equally. Big comfy red old school steakhouse feel with celeb pictures everywhere, beautiful. The outside area is cute and relaxing. This and the seafood selections were my fave. Pretty much it stops there. The service was also very good. A+ for this! ( we were here for the brunch) The food was good the salads were all tasty, basic breakfast food, omelets, bacon and sausages. Very basic nothing special. Garlic bread, meh okay nothing special. The hot selections of meats were good tri tip and turkey fine. Prime rib would have been better as the beef option. Ribs were okay again nothing special overload of sauce IMHO. Crepes were good. They also had a variety of desserts that I didn't try. They looked good though. The seafood was outstanding and for that worth the trip although not a huge selection. The crab legs and oysters and mussels, fresh peel and eat shrimp were wonderful. Love their cocktail sauce and fresh horseradish. My husband loved their lox with all the fixings. The Prosecco/sparkling wine we didn't care for although they were very generous with pours It was probably one of the worst generic type wines. We go to lots of mimosa brunches and we know most use these generic bottles of bubbly well this had no bubbles whatsoever lol or flavor. This being said I feel like lots of old school restaurants like this get stuck in time warp ruts that probably worked decades ago so they don't change up or modernize. I think this is probably the case here. Maybe get a chef to modernize their recipes to update to what other brunch buffets do well in 2024? Just my two cents. I would like to try their dinner sometime for a special occasion as it may be more iconic than their brunch

Very charming and old Hollywood. I love the decor and cozy vibe. The garlic toast was delicious as expected. The filet mignon left more to be desired. I did enjoy the twice baked baked potato. Their classic martini was presented well but light on the liquor. Our server was kind of MIA but it could've been a busier night. I definitely want to explore their bar area next time I'm in town. They have a parking lot but it's valet only $10.

A great place for a prime rib. Cozy atmosphere, good service, got that old Hollywood feel of Musso and Frank's without having to drive all the way to Hollywood. There is valet parking unless you can find parking somewhere else. Everything I've had here doesn't disappoint, especially their famous cheesebread which is like Cheetos seasoning on garlic bread served hot. A classic, must-try.

I've been here twice; the first time I ordered the ribeye and second time I ordered the filet mignon. I thought their filet mignon was nicely seasoned, tender, and juicy. The portion size was perfect for me. Vegetables were delicious and cooked with garlic which I loved. The famous garlic cheese bread is always a must order for the table, it has a sharp cheese taste (presumably parmesan) and super garlicky. There is a large and extensive drink menu as well and the food menu is not limited to steak. The steak came with a side, and I ordered the sweet potato which I would give a 5/10. The butter from the sweet potato did spill over to my steak which made the meat taste even better however. Onion ring had nice breading but was also ok. Service was so friendly and attentive! They were very accommodating towards a large party. The restaurant is reminiscent of old Hollywood and is decorated with movie posters and dim lighting. Parking is valet only, $8 if paying with cash and $10 if paying through Zelle/Venmo.

Really good food and an outstanding old-Hollywood ambiance. They play up the Hollywood history but it contributes very positively to the overall experience. The prime rib was top-notch (so nice to be able to get a full-blwon prime rib these days!) and the garlic cheese bread is truly to die for. Yes, it may feel a little touristy, but they really pull it off in a positive way and have that special vibe.

I don't know why I'm not here more often-I work across the street at WB! I mean I've been here before during lunch and another time for happy hour, but not for a sit down dinner. We met up with some friends and it was a good time. Service at the bar was attentive and quick. Bartender made some good suggestions and I went with penicillin. This is a whiskey based drink with ginger syrup and fresh squeezed lemon. It's strong and refreshing at the same time. We were seated immediately upon check-in, which was 6:30 PM on a Friday night. Have to start out with that garlic cheese bread. One of the best in town! Dived into entrées soon after. Ordered the barbecue ribs, which was not quite fall off the bone but tender. The prime rib was very good and cooked too perfection. It's hard to live up to Lawrys but Smokehouse does a fine job keeping up. Service was attentive and efficient. Loved seeing all the black-and-white photos and nostalgia of Hollywood and the studios all over the restaurant. I could just imagine all of the celebrities of the hey day having dinner and cocktails and industry meetings that would happen here. Prices are not too bad compared to most restaurants nowadays actually when you compare it to others, it's pretty reasonable. Come out for some great food, cocktails, and music. It's worth it! Valet is $10. Street parking is you're lucky. Crème brûlée is the best! Carrot cake is a bit dense IMO but I do not normally order carrot cake for dessert.

Hello Smokehouse staff:-) HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!! I am updating my review since 12/27/2023! From 5 stars to another 5 stars. I don't know nor do I understand how and why this charming, vintage, ancient, traditional restaurant that has SO much HISTORY got 3 and a half stars on Yelp ?? I guess this restaurant is NOT for everybody...unless you are more or less the older generation and appreciate everything that I have said above. My son and I were there again on the night of Christmas Eve and had an EXCELLENT dining experience! Yes, AGAIN!! This place is becoming to be a RITUAL for us for the Holiday Season. I can't say enough good things about this lovely restaurant. In every way on every level. All the employees are SPOT ON!!!! From checking you in until checking you out. That evening we were served by Uriel S. He gave us an EXCEPTIONAL service from the moment we sat down until it was time for us to leave. Shout out to Uriel!!! He deserves a nice raise. We ordered 1 Holiday Half Garlic Bread, 1 Caesar salad, 1 H-Smoke House Cut 1 Peppercorn sauce, 1 Chicken Buena Vista, and for dessert we got their creamy, yummy Chocolate Mousse and for drink I got Pellegrino mineral water. Everything was mouth watering and tasted so DELICIOUS and still had some left overs to take home. Even our bus boy was fantastic. We were there at 7pm. I don't know what else to write, except one day I would like to come on a day that you guys have live band playing and get the feel of it. From my previous review I still feel NOSTALGIA,and everything else that I have mentioned in my 2023 & 2024 review is still standing STRONG in my Heart & Soul!!!! Great management, staff and we always leave with beautiful memories, full stomach and HAPPY!! :-)) Thank you Smoke House Restaurant, management and staff. All the decorations and Christmas trees were so lovely, beautiful, festive, lit, colorful, vibrant and just beyond FANTASTIC!! Until then, keep up the good work, and always be consistent ! it was our first time here. Hector was a great server. He made the experience even better. Everyone was happy with their meals and the ambiance. Plus the prices were decent and not outrageous. Get the prime rib!

Smoke house was nice and classic steak house vibes. Loved the pear martini with my back up in an ice bath. Now that's what I call proper martini service. Waiter was sweet and attentive. The restaurant is huge and has changed a bit since it opened in 1946 but in a nostalgic way. We had the 1946 specials so we were pleased. Our table had two strip steaks and two Sinatra steak dinners. Garlic bread is actually the "world's greatest".

Heck yes! If you're looking for something delicious in an old school setting like going back to the brat pack days - this is the place. The service is top notch. This is a classic landmark. Chefs kiss for the lunch service.

Fun old school steakhouse with lots of history. Martinis came with sidecar and were delicious. Famous garlic bread is unique with a fake cheese dust but tasty nonetheless. Ordered the prime rib and filet but unfortunately both were rare when we ordered medium. Desserts were good even though we were stuffed! Good service and ambiance and good prices.

Sit in the bar for dinner. Enjoy old school vibes from the second you enter until you depart. Industry vibes and clientele, relaxed and casual. I love everything about this spot.

We came for lunch to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday on a weekday in March. It wasn't terribly busy then. Smoke House is a typical L.A. institution: dark and windowless, outdated-yet-charming décor, autographed headshots on every wall. One can almost smell the erstwhile stale cigarette smoke the place was surely saturated by. The people at one of the tables next to you are likely directors, producers, or movie stars. We started with strong, generously poured martinis and an order of The World's Greatest Garlic Bread, which has mixed reviews here. We loved it - we both enjoyed the powdery topping, tangy flavour, and soft texture. We ordered lunch portions of the baby back ribs and tri-tip steak. The full rack of ribs, even the lunch serving, was a huge amount of meat, and also came with a giant onion ring. The steak was tender and flavourful. The baked beans were delicious. Our plates came with grilled corn, but neither of us could even touch the cobbettes after all the other food and drinks (we each also ordered a beer when the food came). As a Southerner (from upper east Tennessee), I know good barbecue - and Smoke House's BBQ sauce was excellent: thick and slightly spicy, slightly sweet. You get a buttload of it with your meal; they don't skimp on portions. The terrific food and special Hollywood history make Smoke House a must-try for both locals and tourists.

I love the Smokehouse. I've been eating here since I was a pup in the 80s. The garlic bread, the clam chowder, the caesar salad...all of it. I moved away for a few years and expected the food quality to deteriorate but surprisingly it did not! The service is always good and the atmosphere is what you'd expect from an old school Studio system restaurant. My family loves the Sunday Brunch - all you can eat in all categories. It may seem expensive but you won't be disappointed. Bring your appetite and indulge in some old school comfort food including prime rib.

Think classic steakhouse and that's exactly what you get. They have valet when you enter, and a photographer roaming around taking customer photos if you want ($15) The menu is extensive, and the portions are HUGE. I wasn't a fan of the garlic bread, it was more of heavy garlic dust/paste on the bread and had a strange taste. We ordered a few different items but barely ended up having room on the table because everyone plates were just HUGE. I will say the best thing we all agreed on was the crab stuffed mushrooms. We did get the salad trio, assuming it would be on 3 mini dishes but to our surprise it came all on one dish with each different dressing (which you kinda want you salads separated, especially different flavors) I have mixed feelings about the food, was I full yes. Was i satisfied with the flavors? Not sure. Going back I would try something more classic like a steak/seafood dinner. Everyone who worked there was a gem.

Came here to celebrate my humans birthday. I was really drawn to the ambiance and old school feel. It is very dark inside with booths and tables. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The restaurant is directly across from Warner Brothers Studios. If you are lucky you may even dine with a star. There is some street parking. If you can't find a spot, then Vallet is the only option. The extensive menu offered plenty of land, sea, air and vegan options. I ordered a Teriyaki chicken that was paired with fresh vegetables and a yummy potato. The sauce was very thin and not my favorite. My human had the BBQ chicken. He said it was good. Another member of our party had a stuffed salmon, which was absolutely delicious, according to him. We opted for a full order of the famous garlic bread. Overall, it was a lovely experience. However, next time, I will skip the chicken and go with the steak. Prices are reasonable. Especially because the sides come with the entrees. I definitely recommend The Smokehouse.

We grabbed dinner here after a movie several weeks back on a Sunday evening. It's funny to me that I've never once in my life dined here and my parents lived in Burbank for over two decades, we grew up dining out in Burbank and somehow I've not once stepped foot in this place. My brother on the other hand used to do his Steak Friday nights here every Friday. His Steak Friday locations varied over the years, but I was always a pizza Friday type gal so our Fridays looked entirely different. Ok, let's get to it. The garlic cheesy bread, a MUST!!!! Holy wow!!! The accuracy of calling this "World's Greatest" it really is damn good. You'll be hard pressed to find a better cheesy garlic bread, if you do - immediately DM me and drop the deets please, thank you. We all had the clam chowder bowls and I think we all said yes to the hit of sherry atop. I'm not turning down my option to booze up a single thing. I've never had a boozy clam chowder but I'm here for it. Delish! I could have stopped right there, soup and bread but I ordered the filet mignon with an onion ring, sauteed spinach and cheesy baked potato. All very tasty. My bestie had the NY steak and seemed to enjoy it. How I managed to roll myself out of the booth and back to the valet stand without a wheel barrow is a mystery to me. Eccentric crowd, fun spot! I wouldn't write off stopping in again, feels nostalgic not sure this is a feeling that would carry over for everyone. Service was great! There's a bar, that also looks like it can be a fun time, if you're in for something a bit more casual.

Food- service- ambience! Reminds me of the old d NY restaurants with dim lights, big oversized red booths and 1950's style American dining.

We love coming here for the old time atmosphere, happy hour drink and bread for an app. Service is always fast and friendly. We sat at the bar this time, and could watch the game.

Old hollywood. Been for lunch and for brunch. Gotta love a photographer asking if you want your picture taken and put on a Postcard when you are just grabbing lunch on a random Tuesday. (Someday I will say yes) I love the big red booths. I love the whole vibe. Like a hidden semi-cheesy (in the best way) secret. The weekend brunch is huge - carving station, traditional breakfast items, Mexican, seafood, large dessert selection with a chocolate fountain and even great salads. Plus bottomless mimosas. This place knows itself and I am here for it. Valet parking but street parking is also really easy.

Been around since 1946 yet still doesn't understand how reservations work expect to sit down 30-45 min after your reservation. Update we had a reservation for 6:45 it is now 8:30 and we have not eaten. 2nd update cheesy Garlic bread is I think made out of cheese wiz Baked potato and steak is fine I can get this quality of food at any chilis or outback steak house. This is the kind of restaurant that people who have never had good food think is good cause they have exposed beams. Do yourself a favor go to bludsos if you want barbecue and The New Deal if you want good food. Update update: it has taken so long my daughter doesn't want chocolate do you know the level of service you need for an 8 year old not want to order chocolate cake? Final update: valet pulls up a cybertruck and nothing more encapsulates the experience of eating here then if you drive a cybertruck you will love this place.

Solid! Definitely "fine food at fair prices" as the slogan states. We had a 5pm dinner time which was enjoyable before the crowds arrived. Around 6pm, it got very crowded. The issue with the crowded restaurant was how loud it was. Lots of groups/parties. From the outside, I didn't realize the restaurant was as big as it was. It was of a nice, older style decor, very clean, and nice dim lighting. Service good during the main part of our meal. As the restaurant filled in for the evening, all servers were running around, but service seemed to fall off a little. So much so, when making the reservation I stated it was for a birthday. Upon finishing our meal and asking for some to-go boxes, we were brought the check. I had to flag down our server and ask if they had a birthday dessert and to see the dessert tray. Bill was removed and brought back updated post dessert. (At other establishments, when I state a special occasion, it is usually addressed when being seated and the waiter is aware. Something I feel should have been acknowledged.) Some parking on street, but limited and read signs carefully. They offer valet parking for $8.
