Sometimes great surprises are housed in your local gas station. For tacos it is El Tragon, for ribs it is Rudy's "Country Store", now for burgers it is Burger Bite. Amazing burger, with designer bun and great fries.

Don’t sleep on this place! Fantastic, huge and juicy burgers served up SO fresh and delicious old school shakes to go with them! I had the gluten free bun and even though it didn’t look very handsome it tasted amazing, one of the best gf buns I ever had. The place is spotless clean, staff are super friendly and once they start preparing your order the smells will get you salivating 😅 Such a pleasantly surprising restaurant.

Have been stopping in here for almost a year and it’s good and super fresh every time. Employees are so friendly! I love the unassuming ambiance - the seating area next to slot machines, even the gas station employee is nice. They seem to get a lot of delivery/takeout orders and can get a little busy, but we’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for our food. I always get the veggie burger with fries and for about $15 it’s def worth it!

I got the B&B burger with pineapple and jalapeno. Tasy, the bun is also nice and has a logo in it, super cute. The milkshakes are oldschool with whipped cream and a cherry on the top. I had the chocolate one I really liked it, i forgot to take a photo of the milkshake. Oh i got regular french fries they were also good, thick and long. They have gluten free bun

I saw a segment on Chicago Tonight mentioning this peculiar restaurant inside a gas station serving amazing food. It was such a great choice and we’re happy to add another place to go for a quick bite to our list! Clean, friendly service, the prices are reasonable and the food is both warm and delicious! I tried the crispy chicken sandwich and my partner had a hotdog with a side of French fries. We can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu!

A strong 4.5 stars. This burger joint is tucked inside a Shell gas station. The cheeseburger was very good. The burger itself was unctuous and was nice to the chew! The bun and toppings was proportioned correctly. I like the branding in the bun. The price point was very low for this quality of burger at only $9. When I’m in the neighborhood, I’ll definitely be back.

Ordered via a food delivery service, just finished and had to leave a review because I just found my favorite burger place in Chicago. My bf and I both got the classic cheeseburger with a side of waffle fries. Everything was perfect! It was clearly so freshly made because when it arrived it was still hot like it had come right off the grill and the fries were crispy and delicious. I cannot stress how much I loved the food and I will definitely be eating here anytime I’m in the mood for a burger!!!

I will travel for a great burger, and found a fabulous burger place! My hair stylist LA Williams of Smitty's Beauty Barber Shop, located across the street from Burger Bites, introduced me to an excellent burger place. Burger Bites, a local spot on Devon Avenue, is located inside a gas station location. The place is small and clean with an option to take food to go or eat in. I heard they also deliver. The place has a great logo (which is even branded on top of the burger!) We called in the order for pick up and the meal was excellent. We received exactly what one wants The food is fast and good. The crinkle fries are crispy and delicious! Burger is extremely flavorful. I heard the establishment just celebrated 1 year anniversary (Congratulations!) and is opening up 2nd location.

Ok, hear me out. I know you might be hesitant to check out a burger spot in a small gas station. But trust me when I say - DO IT! I got the cowboy burger (cheddar, an onion ring, bacon, and BBQ sauce) and my goodness it was DELISH. It was so big, too, that I actually only ate half and saved the other half for the next day! On top of that, the waffle fries are soooo good. Fresh, hot, crispy, deliciousness. So much so that I actually considered going back the next day for fries and a shake. I didn't get a chance to try their shakes yet but you better believe I'll be getting one soon! They actually had a cooler with ice cream tubs so you know it's good quality and fresh! They have a couple tables inside, too, if you want to eat there. I will say it was a bit pricey, for 2 sandwiches and 2 fries it was $40. Considering the fast-cashe style and that it's a tiny spot in a gas station, I thought the price point would be a bit lower/most fast-food-ish. For that reason I gave it 4 stars. Nevertheless, it was great and I would recommend giving it a try!

I love this place! I just wish they'd offer a small serving of fries for half the price. If I'm just ordering for one, this is way too many fries and it's also more expensive than I usually pay. Please consider offering a small or half-size fries for those of us who need to cut down on fried foods, but who like the occasional treat of fries. Thank you!

The Burger Bite is good but not great. Yesterday I went with a simple Cheeseburger and what I got was a simple Cheeseburger with their branded logo on the brioche bun. I really enjoyed it but it was nothing special that I would go out of my way to order from here anytime soon. I did appreciate the thickness of the bun as the burger did not fall apart. I also appreciated the inclusion of red onion instead of the usual white onion. I also ordered a side of cheese fries as the fries were krinkle cut. They were good as the cheese amount was just right. If you eat there or pick up, you'll have to park on Devon. Another solid spot for Rogers Park!

I heard about Burger Bite from the Block Club Chicago article and since they we needed a quick dinner that evening, I decided to stop in. The gas station has a convenience store. On the west side of the convenience store is Burger Bite. You may have been used to seeing a Taco Bell, McDonald's, or similar fast food place in a convenience store, but Burger Bite is a cut above. Service is friendly. There isn't really any parking. I parked along the side next to probably the owner's car, or maybe an employee. They make things to order, and it took about 20 minutes when I was here since there was no one in line or waiting. The food was good. We got a couple burgers, and some fries, onion rings, and a chocolate milkshake to share. Everything survived really well, though I live fewer than 10 minutes from here so it wasn't making a long journey. The ingredients were fresh and they make their food to order. I had a bacon cheeseburger but would be interested in trying the avocado burger sometime as well. Milkshake was the perfect thickness for me, and I would like to try the strawberry banana sometime! The one thing I wish I had thought about was to ask for the burger well done. I do not like any pink at all in my burgers. Yes, I'm one of those people--and if you are too, you want to order it well done since they'll cook if the way fancy people like it. That's on me of course and it's not their fault, of course! I don't eat burgers a lot but I'd happily return for one here.

One of the best BLTs in the city. This place is a lovely community hub. Kids will come in after school, grab a drink and some chips from the gas station side- then over to the burger counter to jazz em up with some chili or cheese action. Sneakily nestled on the far end of the shell gas station, Burger Bite will surprise you. From the sparkling clean interior, simple menu, beautiful looking cakes and shakes, there's something for everyone. Everyone behind the counter is so kind, too! Can't wait to try their second location (and first standalone) on Touhy! Keep up the wonderful work!

One of my favorite burgers! Loyola area hidden gem (literally somewhat hidden - located within the store of the gas station). Staff are very kind. Seating is available (small tables mostly 2 seaters) but seems like lots of people come for take out as well. Combo deal available to add fries to your order. Lots of cool burger sauce/toppings. Everything always tastes hot and fresh. They just opened another branch in Lincolnwood and I'm so happy for them doing well to be able to expand!

Only order a burger and fries from here. Everything else is mid... the burger I'll give a 8/10! Would definitely eat it again. The chicken strips were definitely a 2/10. Don't get em. Overall a 3/5 experience

Excellent burgers and fries, but skip the shakes as they are a complete FAIL. The food is fairly expensive, but lives up to that price with quality. They deserve a try if you are in the area!

Amazing burgers! I got a combo with a Buenos Días , fries and a Diet Pepsi. With another B&B combo with fries and dr.pepper! The food was so delicious. Once I sat down I didn't even wait for long to get my meal. The server was also very kind. The place was very clean. The place is just amazing! I would recommend to come here if you like burger! I had a such great time going to Burger Bite.

Do you know where the Food Network when you see those little hole in the wall places in other cities that you get jealous of because that neighborhood has a great secret place to get food that nobody else knows about? This is your new place. I've been dying for somebody to open up a good old-fashioned hamburger/hotdog/sandwich place in the neighborhood and this place really sticks to the game and does it right. The food is very fresh tasting any ingredients you can tell our top quality and made fresh as you order, and even packaged in eco-friendly material which is a big bonus for me. I haven't had the ice cream or the beautiful desserts yet because I'm not much of a sweet guy, but I will come back for one of their shakes that I've heard is great.

Bad cop: while the fries had a crisp it wasn't substantial and just kinda fell apart yet oddly satisfying. The burger had a good juiciness but the cheese kinda tastes weird with the after taste. 6.5/10 Good cop: w fries, crinkle cut. Salt does bring the dub. Cheeseburger was great, fresh right off the grill. Buns were toasted perfect. Burger paddy was juicy. Greasy burger! Overall service is a W! Super nice guy made sure we got all our food. Nice respectable business!

have been here a few times, different times of day and the consistency and quality are SPOT ON! I do a fair amount of home cooking, and you can tell when they care and are keeping a high standard for themselves. it shows.. it's a better burger place.. one thing stands out as well: they make a 'real' onion ring, also excellently done.. fries done to perfection; not over or under. PLENTY of food in your portions; though: try to save room (or share?) one of their shakes. Happy for them that they're expanding to a second location; though very glad they're staying "at the gas station" (it's all clean & whole property is well kept)..

New Burger Bite location is fantastic! Same great food as the original spot, plus the environment is so much more inviting to dine in. Recommended for burger lovers especially. Love having them in the neighborhood!

Amazing food with pure quality beef burgers. Made fresh and hot! Fries are fresh as well and extra crispy! Small joint with 5 small tables for 2, but not bad for being in a gas station! Main guy is the owner, and he's very nice and cool! Highly recommended!

Being a Chicago area resident, who has traveled extensively, and sampled cuisine from all over the world, I was pleasantly surprised by my sampling a burger of my fixing. I'm sensitive to food that is cooked beyond medium rare; I can't actually eat it. The owner happened to be taking the call, and I said this has to medium rare, not a degree above that. It not only was perfectly cooked, their burger mix is exceptional, the burger was melting in my mouth as I ate it, the bun has a a burger bite brand on it, and it was very fresh! If you are going to serve fries make sure you cook them like Little Bites does. The fries were right on spot; not over or undercooked. Crisp bite, and then your tongue tastes the soft, warm potato bite within the golden fries. The owner stopped me and asked about my pick-up which was very nice. They have only been in business for 6 months. If you live in the area, eve ln if you don't, stop in for some burgers and fries!!!

I've eaten a lot of good meals on my visits to Chicago. This was the most surprising and also one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Don't let the setting fool you, it is absolutely worth a stop. The gentleman who helped us was very kind and the service was great.

Don't let the fact it's a burger joint attached to a gas station make you dismiss it. I've been a few times and is always fresh, cooked to order, hot and generous portions. Maybe a tiny bit high, but not for the quality you get. Everything is a good price for what you get. Friendly staff. Clean environment. I don't know if I'd eat there, it's more of a pick-up/ delivery. Love the fries and shakes.

It's a hidden gem in Roger's Park located in a Shell gas station. Don't be put off by the location because you will miss out on what Burger Bite has to offer. Welcome to a gas station, a convenience store, slot machines - and did I mention a burger joint? Everything has a shiny new appearance. We ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings, chicken strips and a chocolate shake. The onion rings were good. The burger was solid and filling with a good egg bun. For three people it cost $53. It is a good addition to East Devon.

Who would think the best burger I've ever had was from a gas station! I ordered through GrubHub for delivery and saw they had a combo where you can get a burger, fries, and a drink at a lower price than ordering them individually, so I was enticed! They were very generous when I asked for a substitution, which I appreciated. At first glance, the price of one burger seemed a little bit high, but when it arrived, it was definitely worth it. The amount of food you get reflects the price. Everything was hot, crispy, and delicious. I was expecting Burger King quality after hearing that it's from a gas station, but this is way better than Burger King! So worth it and definitely reccomended!

Burger Bite is a perfect family owned, neighborhood spot for a quick meal or dessert! Edgar has worked in the food industry most of his life and it shows. Burgers are definitely TOP TIER (love the mushroom & Swiss as well as the Avocado) and big enough that I usually take half of it home. The shakes are AWESOME (love the Oreos) and far better than Dairy Queen or some of the trendier places in Andersonville - and open later so I can walk or drive there at 9 pm when a craving hits. The wild part is that this is located in a Gas Station - formerly Citco, now Shell. The interior is all beautifully redone and the entire place is professionally managed with friendly staff. It's clean, well lit, very safe for my nighttime shake runs. The only thing not new is the cool vintage Kelvinator dessert cooler/display case that looks like it was transported from 1960. What a nice touch to bring back the old time malt shop feel. It's a friendly, delicious destination point without the attitude or pretense. Support this wonderful business!

These are THEEE best burgers in Chicago, IMO. I wanted to review it on Grubhub but couldn't figure out how. I have never had food this good in a restaurant next to a gas station. NEVER. Burgers are cooked to perfection, very large patties, and great buns chosen for burgers. I've ordered 3 types of burgers, in 3 different visits in the last week. Shakes are perfect, too. I've only ordered burgers, fries, and shakes, so I can't comment on the other menu items. I'd give 5 stars, except they charge more than the price posted in store if you pay by credit card. They don't tell you they charge more for using cc, it's not posted anywhere. I only saw it because I watched as my order was rung up. Also, the menus (posted and carry-out) have multiple typos. LOL! But the food is delicious.

Just GREAT! I discovered them through a short piece on the Food Network. Don't let the fact that it's in a filling station stop you. They have a few tables inside, but delivery is also an option. The burgers are juicy, prepared with care, and topping options ranging from breakfast to dinner. The buns are wonderful, soft and toasted, branded with their logo. Fries and onion rings are wonderful.

This little place may seem a bit questionable being attached to a gas station, but don't let that fool you! The food is fast, and delicious with large portions. This is truly one of the best burgers around, and the onion rings and fries are crisp and cooked to perfection. The owner is a wonderfully pleasant man who remembers you when you come in and always greets you with a smile! The shakes and desserts are also great if you're in the mood and not afraid of some calories. This place is really not to be missed!

Neighbors were raving about how good this place was, so I ordered delivery today. I got a combo of a bacon avocado burger, fries, and a drink. It was good! Burger was on the thicker side, which I appreciate. But it didn't blow me away--little too hyped up by my neighbors unfortunately. This is a place to order from if you just want a good, classic burger with few frills.

Burgers are flavorful and perfectly made with red onion, tomato and lettuce. The B&B burger with pineapple, ham and jalapeño and mayo/ketchup I was skeptical but sooo tasty! Fries are freshly made and piping hot. Chocolate shake was very flavorful and chocolatey rich. Great place and fast!

ok so i've been back. several times actually. i couldn't resist because they had such rave ratings i was like ok maybe i missed something the first couple of times OR maybe they just switched things up. as far as the burger goes, it's not the same burger as i had the first couple of times. the burger i get now tastes homemade and not pre-frozen. its one of the better burgers i've ever tasted. so why 3 stars instead of 4 or 5? because everything else is definitely pre-frozen and i honestly think it diminishes the quality of their brand. they really should just serve burgers and fries, because thats the only thing worth buying on the menu. for example, the chicken sandwich is most certainly not homemade and is super low quality- like why even have it on the menu? same goes for their onion rings, chicken tenders, mozz sticks and anything else. the mozz sticks can probably pass cause in reality no one is actually out here making homemade mozz sticks, so i get it. but items like the chicken sandwich is just a straight no no, especially for a place that has such high quality burgers. just serve burgers- have some self respect for the brand. i know as a small business they want to have other items to bring in more profit- that makes perfect sense, but what doesn't make sense is the huge gap between the quality of those items and the signature item. ill be back 100 more times for the burger and fries. cant stomach anything else, literally.

Drop what you're doing and go here, now. The owner is a super nice guy who is a great chef and the food speaks for itself. My husband and I went three times in a week because we just couldn't stay away. The food has been cooked PERFECTLY every time we've been, the facilities are super clean, the shakes are made with great quality ice cream and you can really taste the richness, and the onion rings are thick, crunchy, and the best onion rings I've ever had. The food is cooked to order, so it's super fresh, and surprisingly affordable! So far we've tried the classic cheeseburger, the mushroom and Swiss burger, the cowboy burger, fries, onion rings, the chocolate shake and the Oreo shake- EVERYTHING WAS SO DELICIOUS. For those who rely on reviews as much as I do, please note that the fella who left a bad review must have something wrong with him because everything he said was complete bullshit lol just trust me, this place is gonna be your new favorite!!! (And no, I'm not affiliated with the business or owners, I just believe in celebrating small business that do amazing work!)

Just ordered some burgers, onion rings and jalapeño poppers. I was not completely sold on this place the last few times I ordered, but tonight? The best yet. Wondering if they listened to feedback and perfected their craft, or maybe they had a really good night. The food was amazing.

We stopped in last night! We've seen multiple posts online of people talking about how good it is so we walked! It was decorated fun for Halloween! We ordered the onion ring, mozzarella stick, jalapeño popper basket, a chocolate shake and a few burgers! (After reading reviews I definitely want to go back and try the strawberry banana shake and avocado burger!!!) I had the mushroom swiss! It was SO GOOD! The burger was thick and juicy and so flavorful!! Like quality burgers!! The buns top it off for me!! Pun intended! They stamp with their name and they tastes amazing!!! What's a good burger without an amazing tasting bun to go with it?! Perfect combo!! The service was quick and they were super friendly!! Definitely going back soon!!

The food here is incredible. The burgers are cooked to perfection every time. The service is great and quick (without sacrificing level of deliciousness). Don't let the location sway you the vibes are exactly like a burger joint- a great place for take out or eat in. The cowboy burger always slaps but honestly so does everything else on the menu. 100/10

We love Burger Bite! They remodeled the restaurant space next to Citgo and it's pleasantly unexpected to have such a nice and new business here. The staff are super friendly and it's a family owned business. The food is made fresh to order! I love the burger, onion rings (so crispy) and the butterfinger shake. Please support this spot and tell neighbors about it. They are working with the Rogers Park Business Alliance and good to see local marketing support.

For a "gas station" place this joint is certainly better in both service and quality foods compared to fancier restaurants I've been to. Seating is limited inside and small but the food is delicious, not greasy, and the employees were very friendly!

We come here once a week. The hamburgers, crinkle fries, shakes, crispy chicken sandwiches are the best! Service and food are perfect. I'm happy to support a local family-owned business. There is a small dining area, and they do carry out. Stop in!

Great service, burger was amazing and perfect, so were the shakes! 10/10 only thing I'd wish is it was it's own restaurant so I could sit and eat. There are a couple tables but not many. Still love the place tho!

I have been looking for a great burger in the area for quite some time and this place surely does not disappoint! The cowboy burger is amazing, onion rings have the perfect amount of crunch and the mango smoothie washed it all down. It is spotless and the service is impeccable. 5 stars across the board.

This was just average. I had a few bites of the burger but it just wasn't good. Bun was too thick and the patty had no real beef flavor. Had no ketchup or mustard on it as was listed on the menu. The Chicago dog was decent and the onion rings were fine, although they had more breading than I like. The chocolate shake wasn't very chocolatey - with all the chocolate syrup spritzed on the cup, I suspect it was vanilla ice cream flavored with syrup. A disappointment.

Huge portions, fresh ingredients! Our order consisted of chicken strips, bacon avocado burgers, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and shakes. Everything was delicious and you could taste the quality in the ingredients used. Definitely will be back again!
