Burger Tap & Shake Tenleytown

Great burgers and amazing prices. The staff was very friendly, I would definitely make this a regular place if I lived closer.

The SoCo burger is the best burger in town, true taste of the south. Good prices and great staff too!

Had lunch there today. The food was good. Burger was juicy, but a bit charred for my taste. Cookies and Cream shake was tasty and creamy, but a bit thin (easily moved up the straw). Overall, it's OK. I would go back for a happy hour drink and I am curious about their Shake Cocktails, but if I want a burger and shake, Z Burger is just a few minutes walk down Wisconsin and has juicy burgers, free tops, and shakes that require vacuum suction to drink.

Decent, juicy burger. Polite staff, and venue is kept clean, although I was not there at peak time. Sand which is of decent quality, choice of white or sweet potato fries. House made sauce tasted of mustard/mayo with old bay. Good variety of beers on tap. Looks to be a good place for a quick late lunch, right across from the Tenleytown Metro Station.

Decent selection of beers. Bartender was conversational and helpful. Burgers were delicious and there was a wide variety. Feels like a classic American burger spot with the addition of good beers to choose from. Not likely to impress a more finely-attuned craft beer fan (they used plastic beer glasses, for example), but the price was certainly right for a quality hangout.

No frills spot with great food and beer on tap. I Ordered the burger with blue cheese and bacon. I was surprised when I saw the bacon was fresh thick cut chunks of deliciousness. Very reasonably priced. Initially I Ordered the AP sauce on the side as I initially thought it was the steak sauce HP. Turns out it is a great sauce with a little spicy kick. Would definately recommend this spot for a quick bit and a beer.

Gourmet Burgers Fries onion rings and beer. I have yet to try this shakes but I hear they're very good. Because it's near a high school and a university it's usually crowded. However, the service is pretty fast the beers are excellent, and the staff is friendly. Bear directly across from the Tenleytown Metro Station which makes it very convenient just stop there after work to grab a bite.

Pretty good burger, like the variety of ingredients. A little disappointing they couldn't have a fast casual design and bring the food to the tables for the prices they are charging. Especially as I was eating with a child. Overall seems like a decent option for a small adult group looking for something casual. Probably not for a family or looking for something nicer.
